Experiencia fantástica: Amazing service! We went to trade in our switch joycons and the employees were super helpful in getting that set up for us. While our joycons were charging with their system, a customer came after us and was extremely rude to the staff. Such a disappointment to see a man act that way. Genuine childish behavior over an online return. The staff handled him very professionally so kudos to the two staff who were there! This store is great so don’t jump to conclusions over the spam of hateful comments around some of the other reviews. Some people just try to find the worst in everything.

Experiencia negativa: After leaving a 5 star review for this specific store, I had to change it after my last experience. Now, if I could leave 0 stars, I absolutely would. Placed an online order for Cardsmiths Currency mega box which showed in stock, and order one box for in store pick up through their app. Order was confirmed ready to go and I could pick up anytime. I arrived approximately 3:10pm on Tuesday 2/18 to the store being locked up. Nobody will answer the store number, and calling customer service just tells you there is too long of a wait to hold and say they will call you back. Last time I placed an online in store pick up, the order was cancelled due to no inventory. I would've preferred that in this case even if it was a lie. These packs are hard to come by and drove a great distance to get here just for the store to be locked and be ghosted by GameStop. Will never return here

Experiencia negativa: Never answer the phone. None of the locations. Imagine how much money they are losing by not answering the phone. Especially during Christmas time. We don’t want to drive around in the snow all around town just to see if you have it in stock. It’s horrible customer service. Lots of money being missed. So if this and other GameStops in the surrounding locations have struggling sells which they do, this is the reason. HIRE BETTER PEOPLE WHO ANSWER THE PHONE

Experiencia negativa: Employee working hasn't been trained to do preorders or trade-ins. Was there for over an hour trying to preorder 3 games. The website stated that there were versions available when they were not. Their online inventory was wrong as a game we were going to buy showed in stock, but the employee said they had zero copies and offered no help to find a copy (call other stores, order online). Can definitely say this is the final straw for me and Gamestop. Can't wait to see these inferior stores close.
Experiencia positiva: Trade-In prices are different in person than online, was speaking to the associate he told me they are not correct and it’s better to call and ask them. If they have 2 or more customers inside expect to wait at least 30min. Overall not terrible.

We have moved to another part of town but Evendale has always been so nice and helpful for well over 15 years I believe. Thanks for helping this grandma who knows nothing about video games!
Experiencia negativa: My family and I just left GameStop. We went there to purchase a PS5. When we walked through the door, the cashier yelled hello. She was standing at the counter talking to a guy and woman. They were having a good conversation too. Lol. Welp because of that we left. We left because my hubby couldn't find a game he wanted to purchase with the console. The lady never asked if we needed any help. Wow!!! I guess Target here we come!

Experiencia negativa: Wanting to buy the new Zelda: Tears of Kingdom I went to GameStop. Then outside they posted “be back at 4pm”. So I waited for about 20 minutes. At 4:07, they still weren’t open. So I called them a few times, which they didn’t pick up. Knocking on the window didn’t help either, I left empty handed and angry.

The employees and manager didn't show up till 10:30pm and didn't open till 11:15pm terribly managed and manager has no idea about the concept of a pre order. And then we were told we can't get the game until 12. Why tell everyone it releases at 10:30 if you can't sell it till 12am !?
Experiencia negativa: Advice given to a friend resulted in the loss of ALL Pokémon Scarlet and Violet save data as well as several other games. If trading in for a new switch, do not try to use the SD card to transfer saves. Demand to use the data transfer feature between the old and new system in the store before you leave, and BEFORE the system is wiped. All our research online indicates this is the correct way to do this per Nintendo.

Experiencia negativa: Went to buy a game three weeks ago after I found out Gamestop had taken the liberty to automatically renew my rewards membership, which I found questionable, but I was going to use it anyway, so whatever. Bought the game and find out that my membership is not renewed when the employee asked if I wanted to renew it then. Checked my bank account and they have definitely taken my money and sent me an email to confirm they renewed it. Employee at the counter says I'll have to call customer service to get it fixed, nothing they can do, so I do...and here's my review, been on hold repeatedly for three weeks, currently on hold for an hour at this moment. During that three weeks, I got charged again twice to renew my membership! Leaving information with the better business bureau next. Gamestop is a thieving corporation. They have my credit information and are now apparently charging me when they feel like it! Good luck doing it again when my bank blocks you from access to my account.

Experiencia negativa: I have had multiple issues with this specific Gamestop and i'm not all too familiar with the area. The lady working at the front counter acted like she didn't want to do her job and check my Xbox One X in to sell it. She then tells me due to the controller missing the joy-stick cover that they'd have to take the CONSOLE as defective. How exactly does that work when Gamestop RESELLS "factory refurbished" consoles with cheap junk wired controllers? Will never shop at this location or try to sell anything again and I recommend others don't do business with them as well!

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely horrible. Guy named Matt-I believe. I mentioned that my ps4’s hdmi was broken and he said they’ll buy it and I can use that credit towards another ps4 for $60-80. I drive all the way home to get it and come back. Instead of telling me the “real price which came out too $150 first” he decided to completely wipe my ps4 of all of its save files and data and then proceed to try and charge me $150 after he repeatedly told me it would only be $80. 4 years of data gone. Walked in with a ps4 and walked out without one. Sold it seeing that it was 100% useless to me now that everything I did on it for the last 4 years was gone. Had he been truthful I could’ve walked out with my ps4 and my games and saves.

Experiencia negativa: A guy named Zach at this location, was to lazy to do inventory look up to see nearby locations where they had Xbox consoles at. He instead lied and said they don’t have any Xbox’s at no locations. When I asked him if he looked it up he said no “because I know these things” when I told him about a Xbox they had at another GameStop and told him he doesn’t know it all he said “good point” then finally felt the need to look it up for me, it took about 10 seconds for him to do it and he gave me a location where they had the Xbox I was looking for. He said he was the manager but I don’t trust this guy. He chose to lie rather then take 10 seconds of his time to do his job. Terrible service…

Experiencia fantástica: I went here to buy a Horizon Zero Dawn and Breath of the wild dlc for my older brother as an early birthday gift. I also payed off my Mario Maker 2 pre order for my brother. And the staff wasn't bugging me. they noticed me come in and waited until I started looking and when I asked to help. They found the game in seconds. My only complaint is that they only had one copy of Horizon Zero Dawn in stock and it was the shelf copy that was open and unsealed. But he did tell me that and asked if it was okay. I said yes but looking back I should've bought the used copy. Even though like most used game store Gamestop doesn't clean their game cases but you can't blame anyone just really Gamestop themselves and other used video game store. But I did get a free PS4 theme with the new copy and looks cool. And the cashier who also help find the game made me confidenced that I should get Horizon for my brother since he love The Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild saying that he that it was a good fit for him. Finally he gave me the idea to take a picture of the dlc code so if I losted it I will still have the code. I don't know how I was that dumb and never thought of that.

Experiencia negativa: Tried to sell an New game that was a birthday gift. Since it still had the plastic wrap on it they told us they can’t accept it because it could be stolen. Even if we walked outside and removed the plastic wrapper we are now banned from selling it at this store and would have to sell it at another store. They treated us as criminals because we didn’t take off the plastic wrap....

Experiencia fantástica: I buy all my games digitally but when it comes to consoles and accessories I always go to gamestop specifically the evendale location. You might be able to find a cheaper deal online but returning consoles and accessories from online dealers is more trouble than it's worth, gamestop has always handled any defects quickly and politely number one in my books.
Experiencia positiva: Personally I do most of my video game shopping online or at Best Buy due to always being asked for pre orders or membership cards here. However besides that, the staff is great and a fantastic place to find gaming related shirts or toys.
Experiencia fantástica: This is my most favorite game store! I buy games for my Nintendo 3Ds, Xbox 360, and even as birthday gifts to someone! If only they can lower the prices a bit, I would visit this more. The games here are just as I expected. I mostly have to buy pre-owned games as they are much cheaper than new ones. I recommend this place for game-lovers like me.
