Experiencia negativa: Stay away from this location. I was charged extra money for an extended warranty I didn’t ask for when I purchased a ps5. Then went to get a refund after I seen it on my receipt and got nothing but attitude from an associate named Aaron. Steer clear of this location.

I bought the Switch 2 release night and the manager charged me an extra $100 for extended warranties that I wasn't told about, he didn't even try to sell me on them, he just added it to my purchase and I didn't notice until I read the receipt. Disgusting!

Experiencia negativa: Purchased a new Nintendo switch 2 and received a blank receipt. The store clerk did not know how to work the register to print a new receipt. He held strong that it is IMPOSSIBLE. Refused to call anyone to help or do anything. Stated I could return it and rebuy it to obtain a receipt IF I had a receipt. OMG. I didn’t know if I should feel sorry for him or be infuriated.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely terrible service. Went in just trying to buy a single joy con. That’s it. They kept trying to upsell us, get us to buy more, try to renew a membership. Everything. But that’s not it. When we finally got our single joy con, I will admit that last minute I changed my mind on what color I wanted, the finally gave me the one I wanted (which happened to be $3 cheaper) but did not refund me the difference. Never going back.

Experiencia negativa: Put ugly GameStop stickers all over the collectibles that are hard to get off. Guy at counter said he doesn’t care cause they don’t sell them anyway. They won’t sell cause they have giant stickers with the cost on them stuck to the front. They also don’t test the products they buy from people and re sell controllers that don’t work.
Experiencia negativa: Bought a ps4 controller yesterday and it had massive stick drift. I go in to get my money back cause I didn’t need the controller, I just wanted it and now I wasn’t trusting of controllers from GameStop. They start being like nah nah, we will get you a controller regardless of what’s wrong with it. I had to ask to get my money back several times. Not to mention the rudeness with which I was spoken too. I’m sorry yall lost money and you had to refund me but that is no excuse to be disrespectful and rude, I will not be back.

But they don't wanna have anybody shop there anymore because they're always closed or employees they're playing around saying they'll be back in 30 minutes. After 30 minutes they put up a new sign, saying they'll be back another hour. And all they're doing is playing behind the counter.
Experiencia negativa: Told me I could get early access to NCAA and I'm still waiting. Why lie to make one sale, when you could of had a life long customer.
Experiencia negativa: Placed a pre-order for college football last month, the capturing detail for me was 3 days early access, which was laid on me by the store manager. I even paid more to be able to ensure access to the game 3 days early. I got verbal confirmation from Dominia before finishing the transaction, even adding in another preorder to help the business as the customer service I had received was great to me. However, after seeing conflicting reports about early access time, I wanted to double check the dates and finish paying my preorder so I wouldn’t have to stand in line and finish paying. I went in this past Saturday to pay and see when I could pick it up. Cody at the register helped me pay and let me know that I did have early access, and then let me know that he wasn’t quite sure when I could get it and told me to call back on Sunday. Which I did, in which the individual on the phone (possibly Dominia) told me that it was in fact the 16th for early access which I again had paid for. Well I went in today, the 16th, and let Cody know I was there to pick up my preorder. In which I was informed that I would have to wait until the 19th which is as in fact the regular release date for the game. It’s one thing for a newer employee to be confused and not know so I in no way blame Cody as he did the vest he could in a situation that was not of his making. However, for store leadership to intentionally mislead me in order to drum up business is not cool. This was something that was really important to me as I spent my hard earned money on this product through Gamestop only for them to not deliver on what was promised. I used to be a PRO memeber, not anymore. That was the last straw, I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere.
Experiencia negativa: The clerk used a blower on my Xbox to clean it when I was trading it in too close to the fan in the back and now it won’t show on the tv. She said it is defective when I used it all the time and even used it before bringing it in. She claimed that the blower can’t ruin the Xbox but I believe it did. I own a pc and I know if u use coming that blow that hard so close to it then things can get messed on the inside. I sold it anyways since she broke it because I wasn’t taking a broke system home.

The recording she sent me that was started halfway through her experience is atrocious and rude. I have encouraged her to submit this recording to higher in the company, after handing them proper information to do so. Please....do better. The common people are the only reason you are still in business.
Experiencia fantástica: So I went up there to purchase a game. I was using a store credit plus Cash forgot my card at the store because the tap doesn’t work the cashier name. Brandon was such a help and then when I went back to get my card and return he had taken another two bucks off what a awesome guy, he basically gave me my money back. Who does that this day and age thanks, Brandon.

An employee who seemed to be more interested in talking to his friends "Searched" for a game copy he claimed could not be found, no gamestop had any used or new copies of. The problem here is I drove all the way back home wasted gas money which let's be real it's not cheap now adays (almost 5$ a gallon). I had to drive back out into another gamestop who redirected me not to 1 but 3 Gamestops who had the copy!!!. Seriously if you don't know do your customers a favor and please do not lie to people. The employee at the gamestop were I purchased this game told this game had been sitting on the shelf for months!. Honestly it frustrates me to no end when people who get paid to do a job do the absolute bear minimum and avoid been helpful in any way. Again and I repeat for all future costumers if you don't know, don't lie to people!!!. The lie itself may not effect you but it can infact impact other people. You got your well deserved review I hope you can start actually help your customers and not favor your friends over your Job. Picture is there I purchased the game after driving 25 miles back and forth because someone didn't bother to do a proper search

Anytime my wife and I walk in he always greets us with a big smile and and starts talking us like we are everyday friends and not just customers. He was working with another guy named Brandon and he always uplifted him and other employees, being patient and calm under any circumstance. Thank you Gary and Brandon for amazing service and you 2 are the only reasons my wife and I will return to this store!!!

We go up to the only employee in the building to ask if they have it in stock. The man who looked about 30 blond hair, a little stocky and glasses told us they probably proceeded to go to back counter to get it. He drooped over to the counter looking obviously annoyed that he had to help someone. Was a really upsetting experience and really killed me and my autistic brothers vibes and feelings. I’m sorry you were having a bad day pal but that doesn’t mean you have to make everyone else’s day worse. P.s guys name he’s Joshua so if your going to this location just don’t go when he goes or else your in for bad service

I think one other person came in and it was an employee from a different GameStop making a delivery. Everything was clean and orderly. The lone employee, Greg, was attentive but not overbearing. Picking up my prepurchased item was super easy. Not much else to say

Experiencia negativa: I experienced what I believe to be discrimination I came in to sell a ps4 pro and was turned away because of what seems to be “bug droppings “ I took the ps4 elsewhere and received 140$ for it.Honestly I’ve bought and sold with Greg for a while I thought this was very unreasonable, I don’t have problems with pest, rodents insects exct”. So I know for a fact there where no bug droppings in my system however in Greg’s “experience” they were bug droppings and apparently there’s a store policy against that ses Greg, how ever I did sell the system and won’t be coming back to GameStop I had similar experiences’ @ other gamesstop locations and believe I should spend some where else.

I live near raytown but I usually do my shopping in Lee's Summit or Overland Park, but this GameStop has always had what we needed and been very helpful. With three kids and a husband that love video games they can be high maintenance as far as what they're looking for, and this GameStop always leaves us satisfied.

I will definitely consider this location in the future! Also seems very tidy and visually pleasing, as opposed to my more frequent Gamestop location. :)

I bought for my kids for Christmas a switch game lost the Receipt I am a pro member and it’s supposed to keep track of your last five purchases and this is not on it. They won’t let me trade it in and get a different game because it’s still brand new in the wrapping. Won’t be back here. There are plenty of other places to buy games from.

Experiencia negativa: 11-30-2019 Jacob who works at the game stop in Raytown Missouri on 350 highway gave me a Xbox game instead of a PlayStation game. I did not check my bag like I probably should have, but forgive me for thinking they were competent enough to actually put the right game in my bag. So when I try to bring it back the same day within an hour, Jacob the same guy that sold me the game, the same guy that put the wrong game in my bag, refused to do even exchange for the right game. How about you guys just do the right thing Since you guys were the ones that made the mistake. Instead All they could do was give me $10 for a game that I just paid over $30.00for one hour ago. This whole store is a joke, it’s trashy and the employees can care less. The manager acted like he couldn’t give me a minute of his time. He was trying to avoid the whole situation. Great management.

HOW? the game was not new... It was used...not even played and in perfect condition and i could only get three dollars in store credit I think not... You guys need to make it known that if you return the game you won't get the same amount back that you paid for it. IT NEEDS TO BE SAID it should be policy to be told to the customer so they know what their wasting their money on. By the way if you delete this review I will be calling your corporate.
