Negative experience: Really bad customer service either nobody was working today and they had a store wide open and nobody working or the employees were too busy playing games not paying attention to the customers either way it would’ve been easy to walk out With something but hard to buy anything

Positive experience: Not a true fan but I get its a business. So many times I have walked in to look at a ps5 to get a 2nd one. Bestbuy/walmart just down the road will sell that day a new ps5 for say $400. Game X change nope. $430 for a dirty used. Why?

Negative experience: Went in a few days ago and saw there was a large loose lego box. Cool. My child picked a small handful of legos that would have all fit into a small snack ziplock baggie. The employee didn't know how to ring it up properly and had just said to a coworker, I sold someone 2 legos for .50cents a last week because I didn't know how to properly ring them up. Turns out they charge by the gallon bag(Or so they say). No bag was offered to us, to get more legos. No signage to indicate how much they charge for their legos. So we ended up paying 10$ for a small handful. Ya'll really need to follow what other places do, charge by weight or offer different bag sizes and tell customers the price/bag. Not a one price fits all. It really isn't that difficult. We won't be returning as customers as we've had other issues at other locations. We've even had ex-employees tell us to stay away from GameExchange.

Negative experience: tries to price used items as new, horrible trade-in values, and bad store policies- would only rly recommend this place to buy maybe some old books or dvds, otherwise your moneys best spent elsewhere

Negative experience: Don't buy xbox 360 controllers theyre all broken and they gave me twenty dollars for a p s four and sold it for 1 hundred fifty

Negative experience: My 12 year old took in a couple hundred cards to sell. Ranging in value from .50-$40…. They gave him $1.22!!!!!!! Hard lesson for a kid that not all adults are honest. I told my son that was ridiculous and to hand the money back and get his cards. Cashier told him no, that all sales were final. This particular store has crooks for employees.

Negative experience: I really wish I could give half scores. This place has been going down hill. My original review the biggest issue I had were nothing but sports titles. Now, it's not keeping their inventory in check. Tried to buy a couple of games with the in-store credit I've had for the last 6 months. They couldn't find the game I was wanting to purchase and yet it wasn't the only copy of it they had on that system so they seem to be missing quite a few then. Along with that, multiple times I've gone there they seem to have scratched games that won't work. My last visit before that was 6 months ago and all 3 games I bought were scratched and unreadable to any of the consoles. Course all you get is "store credit" which is so wrong in my opinion. If that's all you're gonna offer you guys need to check your games or give cash back. Not only this but they're starting to price match places like DKOldies. I'd rather just go buy from eStarland online or ebay at this rate.

Fantastic experience: One of my absolute favorite places to pick up my nostalgic memories. Staff is very kind and helpful! I stop by once a week!

Positive experience: Visited this place for the first time today and it’s nice, clean and very organized has a lot of collectibles, games and cards (no new Pokémon cards though.) I’m a video game and console collector and the prices for consoles, accessories, controllers, handhelds were just outrageous and close to retail prices. I’ll stick to eBay for those. But most other collectible prices were decent. Staff seemed friendly but not very talkative.

Negative experience: Bad attitude by the workers, I have had a bad experience while I was there asking for games and devices, personnel was rude and unprofessional and by comments made for them they made me feel discriminated while I was clearly speaking good and understandable English.

Negative experience: Sold me an Xbox 360 with missing cables and the battery pack missing out of the back. Went back to get the missing parts just to get home and set it up for nothing to work at all. I even asked if everything was good before leaving the first time.

Negative experience: Third time coming here. First two times were great. This last time we walked in and they were counting their registers so we respectfully waited until they were done and was not acknowledged or asked if we needed help. The people that walked in after us, they acknowledged them. Not cool yall!

Negative experience: DO NOT SELL HERE!!!! I walked in with a Tactics Waistcoat Nemisis Prime Transformer (box had one corner a bit beat up but the figure itself great condition), a sealed Barricade Transformer from the first live action, a sealed Sideswipe from the second live action (both boxes in great condition), a Nerf Halo Needler, and a golden Rocket Raccoon Funko. They offered 45 dollars and 70 cents for EVERYTHING.....that is ridiculous. Thankfully I turned it down but what pisses me off is they probably would have turned around and sold either the Barricade or the Sideswipe for that ALONE. God only knows how much they would have sold the Nemisis Prime for. What is someone walked in not knowing they had something that was worth alot??? Don't sell here.

Fantastic experience: Excellent location. Everything is well organized. Movies and games are in alphabetical order. Very clean and nice! Will be going back frequently to support the business.

Fantastic experience: The Workers are amazing! They have some really cool stuff, They have all types of games and consoles: Playstation. Xbox, Switch, 3DS and even some older games/Consoles. They have card games (Pokémon, Magic The Gathering, Ect.) They have D&D things. They also have figurines and a lot more.

Fantastic experience: Great place to go look for all gaming needs iether old or new. This place has all kinds of games, comics, manga, Gundams, and many more collectibles and toys.

Fantastic experience: Got 3 games, got home and a wrong disc of wrong platform was put in one of our cases, took it back, they gave us the right one. Then tried to play one of The games and it wouldnt play, took it back to the Copperas Cove location and got it exchanged. Now all 3 games work perfectly. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Called for a basic question and the gentleman who answered not only helped answer everything I had to ask but also gave such helpful advice! Will definitely be taking my kids here soon just for the customer service alone !

Fantastic experience: A Central Texas Staple with 33 locations. Game exchange specializes in video games, movies, tcgs collectibles and musical instruments. I would compare them to the book offs in Japan as they're always able to give you great deals on what they sell as well as purchase almost anything you got. The store is always stocked up with Grails and Bangers. Not only does the store shine, The staff is knowledgeable, they always seem to know what game you are referencing. The best interaction I ever had was with Natalie. She was able to take care of all my needs, questions and trade-in. If you see these people at a convention you'll know cuz they always have the biggest Booth. Definitely stop by. They give military discounts as well as first responders and I believe teachers. That last one might be a stretch but hey tell him general malice sent you in that name drop might work.

Positive experience: I love going here to find older games at a decent price. Usually games aren't too expensive. But some are way overpriced. Also, do not go here for Pop figures! They are all overpriced!

Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience here each time! Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable Logan and Lasa helped me out so much! The vibes are chill and a large variety of grails and older pops for collectors of all sorts. I love it here ! Highly recommend

Negative experience: Embarrassing chain store. The games are well over retail price that you could get at Gamestop, eBay, Price Charting, etc. Went to buy a game, and was informed that it is now 60% more expensive than their price on the game. They had 15 copies on the shelf and decided to try and gouge me. I'll never return.

Negative experience: SCAM!!! Please go over their refund policy in depth because whatever they highlight on the receipt does not fully apply to your purchase. Wouldn’t recommend

Positive experience: Got a retro Nintendo not the real system that plays Nintendo games. Didn't realize you have to pay for each Nintendo cartridge at 25-50 a pop. Went over to the mall and found a system with games already installed. Same day .. same hour took the retro game back for a refund. Noope. Store credit only and with the receipt. I'd make sure you're purchasing what you want.

Fantastic experience: Thos place has some great deals on dvds for those who don't have cable due to the high cost of cable like myself , we will be going back for more movies.

Negative experience: Bad custermer service. Walked into the shop and waited 10 minute until staff finally acknowledge that i was a customer.

Negative experience: One of the worst game exchange’s near my area. Haven’t been there in a long time so before when I use to come there, the people that they had was so nice and helpful. Now, there’s only 1 or 2 coworkers there. Had a bad experience. Was trading in a Xbox one series s and even though I had my games in the Xbox, the guy said he still needed to download a game. Almost waited for 2 hours for the game to download and finally the guy said that he couldn’t test it even though the Xbox works perfectly when I download games. This game exchange is not the same as before. Now it’s just a bunch of stupid co workers that they have who sell broken cables and sometimes consoles as well. The ones in temple and copperas cove are the best. Even go to GameStop at the Killeen mall as an ell. The employees at GameStop treated me better there and I only waited for 5 minutes . Never going to this game exchange ever again.

Negative experience: Incredibly rude workers. I stood at the counter ready to make my purchase while they put boxes away - multiple employees, about fifteen minutes without any acknowledgement although we made eye contact several times as they moved boxes around. Will not be back.

Negative experience: Drove an hour to this location to pick up a couple games I've been looking for and when I've finally had time to try them none of them work. (My console does work) The store is one of the nicer game x changes I've seen, I'll give them that much.

Negative experience: We came in a little before close, we wanted to grab some blu rays for the night. At 6:00 we were told "The store is closed" so we went to finalize our purchases only, to be told they couldn't ring us up. A warning would've been nice. We weren't told that we couldn't make purchases after 6:00. Let down.

Negative experience: Came in here to sell my system. Something I’ve done many times here before there’s two guys are new to me tho as I haven’t been here in a few years. I waited for 45 minutes to be told I have to wait for a game to download and he had to play a whole level of the game. The other worker the whole time is walking back and forth barely doing anything at all. This is the worst experience I’ve had in this store and probably won’t be coming back due to the customer service here.

Negative experience: Never coming to this location again. They game me the wrong cords for a WII system and a game that had knife stab marks. Came back and got the correct cords and a better copy of the game without issue. Upon coming home I realized the proper cords were missing a sensor bar. I then plugged the system in the hear a weird grinding noise from the disc trey and to get an error message saying to refer to the owner manual and to turn the system off. I now have to come back a third time to which I’m just out right returning everything, this is the.worst game x change and I’m honestly surprised it’s still in business.

Negative experience: I’ve gone to this location on multiple occasions and experienced rude staff. I drove all the way to the store on this occasion to sell a couple games and was told they were “out of money.” Bad vibes all around. Stay away!

Negative experience: Be careful. They don’t give refunds however they only do returns and give credit. They don’t have a system where they track your credit so if you decide to come back later to use your credit, you must take a picture of your receipt and keep it in your phone. I lost $121.75 on a Wii system I bought March 27th & returned it the next day. I went back in May for something else & they claimed my receipt wasn’t verifiable/unreadable to them & they don’t keep track, so they declined my credit. I will never do business with them again.

The selection of games is not the best but anything good probably gets bought super fast but as far as location goes seeing as killeen has nothing else to do I'd say it's at least something fun to go to and browse for something if you're into the oldie but Goldie Era of media :)

Negative experience: The Copperas Cove location is way better. Terrible costumer service. They miss mark their products, over charge you and keep your money. No refunds for THIER mistake. ALWAYS double check what they are charging you before you pay because you will not get your money back.

Positive experience: I've been going to the game exchange for several years, and the one on W.S.Young in particular. The reason is that I have always had very good experiences there and always got along very well with the employees. I have recommended that store to many of my gamer friends. Today I found out that apparently some of their past employees have a much different view of our interactions than I do. I have been blackballed from doing business with them and I don't understand why they have lied about me and our interactions. I understand that the current employees are bound by policy, but I have never had any issues or problems with anyone while at the store. I wish I could get them to fix this, so that I could continue doing business with them. But I will continue to recommend this store as long as it's there. Maybe , it will figure a way to remove the blemish and go back to doing business with me.

The store employees are amazing & work hard for their customers. Shout out to the only employee working on Sunday September 4th. Negative experience: Little slow very disappointed in prices of items, dvds, brought in 48 DVD got $7.70 for all. Hope they do better on prices for games , should have donated too goodwill would have took a minute , 45 min for 7 bucks.

Positive experience: We walked in and was not greeted even though the clerk was standing behind the counter doing absolutely nothing. We stood there holding bags of cd's, dvd's and games and even though there is no way she didn't see us, she not once acknowledged us. We felt that was a little weird but oh well. The selection is pretty good, but the prices were kind of high and the woman took FOREVER to process our trade ins. We had roughly 2,000 worth of trade ins and got 160 bucks, ridiculous! Anyway besides all that it was okay.

Negative experience: Hate this place took 45 minutes for the only 2 workers in a busy store to manually search through game discs just to say they don't have either of the games I was looking for. Slow service, incompetent and understaffed.

I mean they had run the jewels 4 on wax so they are Allright in my book. For a small collection there was a great variety. Expansive video game selection across all platforms from Nintendo 8 bit forward plus some atari stuff. Collectibles and t-shirts. Service was friendly without being overbearing. Hidden gem just like killeen.

Negative experience: 1.5 hours of waiting to buy a console. "Manager" was too busy taking care of other business while I waited for assistance. Watched half a dozen people walk out the store before I was taken care of. The manager NEVER ONCE said, "Please excuse me while I deal with another issue..." I'm a paying customer and you dont deserve your title. You're busy texting and avoiding a PAYING customer. You claimed that this was "not your store till a week ago..." You shouldnt have ANY stores. Got home and controller had no BACK. Went BACK to location and stood on line for another 20 minutes. Would ONLY deal with Desmyn...hope I spelled it correctly...because at least HE helped people.
