Fantastic experience: Love the staff! They are always helpful, social, and good people.

Negative experience: The “No Cash Refund” policy sucks paid for a 70$ game and can only get store credit and only to get another game that doesn’t work either . Really don’t recommend this store . Much better luck online getting games that actually have a better warranty then these people

Positive experience: Has lots to offer gamers, movie buffs and pure nostalgia. They typically don't have any new game releases however FYI.

Negative experience: disgusting that I was literally robbed of $40 and cannot even get a phone call back from a manager (it’s been weeks). so now I am going to have to take this up in small claims court/better business bureau/fraud reports. not this first time I have been ripped off at this location but enough is enough. demand letter is in the mail. As you can clearly see, the Nintendo switch lite— all marked with the same sticker price of $159.99 was billed at 199.99 without my knowledge or consent. Done at the counter when I wasn’t paying attention. This is false advertising and fraudulent business practice. Unacceptable and I will never be shopping with you ever again in my life— you’ve lost a more than loyal customer.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE i recommend GameStop because i bought a Xbox 360 recently but I had to BUY ANOTHER ONE just to find out I don’t work with my Kinect and not only that Xbox came with so many problems please save your money and go somewhere else it’s not worth it

Negative experience: I this is the worst game x change I've ever been too. I bought Sonic the hedgehog for ps3 and it didn't work so I took it back and got the money back in store credit because they won't give you cash back even if whatever you bought don't work! Only in store credit you get your money back. Guess what, that Sonic game is back up on the shelves for someone else to buy and get scammed and have to go back to get a stupid store credit because game x change can't lose any of there money. I will never go back to this stupid place!!! If I could give it zero stars I would.

Positive experience: Your posters are NOT movie poster size. They're smaller. Just thought you should know so you can stop misleading customers. Place is always clean and staff friendly...just verify things yourself before purchasing

Negative experience: The women in this store are very rude and lazy. They even cursed out my niece and were very impolite. They undercut all prices . Then over price them on top of horrible customer service.

Negative experience: Ridiculous buy something it doesn't work and return it within 24hrs and only store credit. Sad that stores need sales that bad that they cant give your hard earned money back. SMH.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. I've been going to this location since it opened. Today I stood waiting at the counter while an employee checked trade in Pokémon cards while the other employee sat at the table playing with cards. There was 5 other customers waiting. I was next after the trade in customer I stood there for 15 mins both employees didn't even acknowledge any of us were there. I had a store credit from a previous visit i put back my item and threw my store credit in the trash. I will never return to this location ever again.

Fantastic experience: Very nice place with a really good selection of games, consoles, and other game related items. The great selections continue with videos, electronics and memorabilia.

Negative experience: Used to be great, but times change. Now it smells like mold, has rows of sports titles and kinect adventures, and enough scratched DVDS to build a house. If you need some Funko Pops go for it, but don't expect..y'know..video games. Trade values are laughable. Roughly around 10%. If you have anything of value worth more than $5 then trust me, avoid this place. You're better off donating it to charity to avoid the insulting offer. It's more like a pawn shop now. I've seen TVs, guitars, and power tools. Just a bunch of dirty junk sold by a revolving door of employees that smile while telling you they don't know what they're talking about. If you're into card games you might like it. There's this small table that sometimes has 2 people sitting at it. Sad really, but it's there. I'm honestly shocked this place is still open. I'm only giving it 2 stars based on nostalgia of when it didn't smell awful, had cool music playing, and good games for sale. Those days are over.

Positive experience: I love their games, especially their Wii games selections! Just dance is one of my favorite games and one day, I wish they will have just dance 2014 and just dance greatest hits. I got this game and it looked clean! 4 stars for this place

Not a good place to trade but to buy stuff it’s amazing they don’t try to steal money from you like the other stores around town when it comes to resale all of the consoles, video games, toys, Game accessories, consoles accessories and movies are a legit price.

Fantastic experience: Looking for a place to buy games for a good place this is the place I was able to buy my son three games under $30 and most time three games are using GameStop will be like over $30 if you want your son have the same games but you don't want to pay the expensive price go to games to change they're worth it every time that was so good for movies got great movies they do have anime bugs mangas you name it they probably got it they do sell game system as well for a good price even though it's used some they do got new ones but they're for a good price you do not want to miss out

Negative experience: Went to the store looking for a Xbox 360 controller for project I was working on (making a retro Pandora) Talk to the employee and I made it very clear I don't know if this is going to work and what is your return if it does not work would like to return it. The employee informed me that they do not have a return policy if my project does not work. they only can give me a store credit for the full price within 90 days and that's the best they can do which I'm okay with because I'm looking to get a PlayStation 5 and support local. Return to the store 7 Days later the project did not work and never use the product now the same employee told me the only thing they can do is offer me a buyback and for the $60 I spent on two controllers they're only going to give me like $8 for both. Employee just looked at me and said you should have made sure it was not working properly or damaged it and I could have given you a full store credit but since you're honest I can only give you $8 back. I will never buy anything again from your store and this is why people don't buy from local places anymore.

Fantastic experience: Went to get my daughter some movies for her birthday and they informed us about an amazing sell they had on movies. Got her a bunch of movies for a small price.

Negative experience: Came by just now, never stop at this place. A friend said they have cool Funko Pops so figured I’d check it out. I’m not privy to their opening times. I go to pull on the door and whoever is there now yanks it out of my hand and says rudely “we don’t open til noon” and I laughed and said “oh man sorry” but then thought better as I walked away. What am I sorry for? Why did he have the door unlocked if he wasn’t open? Why did he feel the need to yank the door closed? A simple “hey we’re opening in 15 minutes” without having to be physical would have sufficed. Won’t be returning. This is why places like this lose out to online sales.

Positive experience: Extremely over priced systems, PS5 around $700, Xbox X around $600 and that is for a used system. Also the employees came from out of the back room with the over welming smell of weed. I normally don't care what people do but I had my kids with me and they kept asking me what that smell was. I just said it's cigarettes . Still very unprofessional for a kid friendly place.

Fantastic experience: Took my son here because he wanted to trade in his games and his PS4 for money to get other things. The staff was helpful and they gave a decent amount on trades. Please note you get less for cash trades and more of you do store credit.

Fantastic experience: I went here to buy a Nintendo Switch. The salesperson was helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. I am happy with my purchase. He recommended some games that I purchased and I am well pleased. I was impressed by his knowledge and understanding of exactly what I was looking to buy. I am older and I am used to being treated as if I cannot comprehend video games and generally ignored by the youthful salespeople. This young man took time to explain what I needed to know and I am quite impressed. Kudos to GameXchange, I will shop here again.

The only problem is a thumb stick (is buggy) on a controller but i can always get a new one and its not messing up my game too bad if i hold it in a certain position. Love this place.

Negative experience: 7/15/22 I arrived at around 12 to drop off a box of dvds to have them evaluated for trade in. A tall man took my dvd's told me he would have it done when I got back. I took my son to the allergy specialist and at 2:30 we returned the DVDs were sitting on the counter had never moved the employee told em he had no idea what they were and Noone had told him about any transactions. I told him about what had transpired qnd he said well I can look at them but its only 10 cents each. I asked to talk to the guy I spoke to before but Noone knew where he was. I asked if they had a manager but he agian didn't know where he was then discover discover was in the bathroom. Two employees is all that we're in the building neither one could communicate why this had happened and one stayed in the back room. I was also informed they don't have upper management that its in the process.. I've bought alot of things here and could not be more dissapointed. Update***** I spoke Caleb store manager said hey man I'm sorry. I'd didn't get to them I had in store customer and they come first, I don't have time to dedicate to incoming inventory. I asked him about having 2 employees why couldn't we get it done oh yeah ugh we had customers. He took my name qnd told me he would have Natalie their area manager call me.

The last time I was in at this location, I left not as impressed compared to my previous visit. I will try this location once more as I've not completely written them off. Just hope to have a better experience next time. Negative experience: Absolutely appalled by this store. My issues aren’t about the staff working at the store. They were nothing but excellent in their service during my issue. I have bought Pokémon cards at this location, coperas cove, and temple. My wife and I have never had an issue until the District Manager, Natalie, came to “revamp” the Waco store. While she was on site, we attempted to purchase bulk Rare cards and despite a sign saying one rare for .25 cents they attempted to charge us TCG price. Natalie got involved saying “you know these are a steal” basically not wanting to because we knew the cards worth while flaunting how her Pokémon knowledge from San Angelo was incredible and how it was the premiere place for Pokémon in Texas. During which I had an application for the store in for a part time position. Which again astounds me how despite a district and store manager there while I was in the store 3 slow days I couldn’t get them to look at my resume and application. Now today I go back fresh mind and fresh outlook. My wife and I go to pick some cards out from the binder and once we go to pay we are asked to pay lightly played for a damaged card. Again the person who helped us was not a problem but we were informed that since they (gamexchange) pays as lightly played then I as the customer have to pay lightly played regardless of a lower condition. Card could have a hole in it and I’d have to pay lightly played. We were told this was a rule from their district manager (Natalie). I understand business but can you really expect a customer to pay lightly played for a damaged card when in this case the difference was 3 dollars but can range to 200+?! I am writing this review (my first and hopefully only one) in order to hopefully get this fixed and make gamexchange the place where my wife and I can go back to relaxing and pay a FAIR amount without having to fight to get it fair.

Negative experience: These people have been giving me the absolutely run around about fixing a ps4 that's still under warranty. Everyday I call there is a different story about why they replacement ps4 isn't there yet. Will NOT be getting another system from these guys. Thise guys are just game nerds and doesn't have a clue what's going on. Some reason it's stuck in Safe Mode.
