Fantastic experience: An absolute must place to come to if you are needing that nostalgia itch! Zach and Shelby were extremely helpful and patient with us when our card kept declining. Truly appreciate their help making sure we leave with everything we needed for our Wii!

Fantastic experience: I am a late-GenX-er that is trying to instill a healthy love for gaming with my young children. I stopped by FX to get a console diagnosed and repaired. I was blown away from the start. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and they sent me right back to the service station. The technicians at the service station doted over my special edition Xbox, shared with me fun facts about the US postal system and Star Wars, and combed through their back stock helping me find a new power cord. Then they check out people helped me find the perfect Nintendo Switch game for my 6 year old daughter. My visit there was much longer than anticipated, but only because they sucked me in with their Stellar customer service. I will be back, guaranteed.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I stopped on our way home from a road trip after reading some great reviews. We have to say that they were right! The store was extremely well lit, had a massive inventory and was very well organized. We picked up several NES and a SNES game. The gentleman that pulled our games from the stock room was very helpful and he emerged with some CLEAN cartridges with minimal wear to the labels. He then proceeded to clean the contacts on each game! Not all stores ensure the games are clean. We then chatted with Kendra who checked us out and she was extremely kind and incredibly helpful. She informed us of the member program to save 10% on our games and made a large enough impact on our experience that we will absolutely travel back to Waco to visit and purchase more games soon. If you're local to Waco, you should feel lucky to have this store in your backyard. If you're not local, but find yourself in Waco, you definitely need to stop!

Fantastic experience: Traded in some old video games/consoles twice here so far. They always give a fair price. Could I make more if I sold each item on ebay one by one? Probably. Am I actually going to do that? Probably not. So to me this place is like outsourcing the work of selling my old games, and using the proceeds to buy what I really want... more games!

Fantastic experience: They fixed my Nintendo Switch for a great price! The battery started bulging on my Switch and they fixed it for half of what another place quoted and it was ready in 2 days vs 2 weeks. I will use them from now on! They’ve earned by business!

Fantastic experience: This place hasn't changed much at all over the years, which is a good thing as I loved it back then and still love it today. There's a lot of new games for the current systems that you can buy, but the main reason to come here is their large collection of retro games and systems from all throughout gaming history. The staff here is nice and knowledgeable in many things video games. I also love the retro 80's aesthetic this place has.

Fantastic experience: I found this place after someone recommended them. I had an old collection of video games sitting in a box…like everyone else, I figured I would see the value at GameStop. They offered me a few dollars. The people at FX noticed some of the games were quite rare, one was worth over $300! GameStop was going to give me $12. For that reason alone, Their honesty and ethics made me a customer. This store has EVERYTHING for retro gaming, consoles, controllers, memory cards, and very obscure and rare peripherals. Even old strategy guides. Yea….this place is legit. Prices are fair. I’ll never go back to GameStop again.

Fantastic experience: Let me just start by thanking Dan and Jessie for fixing my sons PS5 and one of his controllers. I brought it in yesterday around 2:30pm and they call me back 4 hours later and told me that they are done with both. The PS5 has a broken HDMI port and the controller had stick drift. It also has a 90 day warranty on both of anything happen. They have the best prices on repairs too. I hope this helps any one that needs professional help with their system. They are the best.

Negative experience: When I first saw the name I figured it would be something like Game Stop. It definitely was right down to the high prices. Service left something to be desired. I was in the store for 20 mins and none of the employees tried talking to me. I won’t go back nor do I recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal experience! Went to FX to see about getting an Xbox original repaired. Showed up with 3 consoles. They moved over all the data (saves, music), on one to a remanufactured system, repaired the other and I gave them the other 2 for parts. Amazing customer service, up for any game plan, willing to do whatever it took to make sure I left with a working system the same day. Absolute props to the team there. They made amazing efforts to help me out and I am thankful for it!

Positive experience: A decent place for retro and new school games alike. They also have collectable merchandise such as; figurines, game steelbooks, comics, rare consoles and accessories. Staff here are rather friendly and have gotten better over the years. FX also offers repairs and maintenance for consoles and do a wonderful job getting everything done in a quick and professional manner. The only downsides is that they don't have as much merchandise as their sister locations, and the prices can be a bit higher than their competitors.

Negative experience: I think someone here skimmed my card, I'll pay in cash next time.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking to trade in your games for the best percentage value or just in need of a quick repair - THIS IS WHERE YOU GO. I’ve traded in games to just about every game store within a 2 hour radius of this store and I prefer to make the 30 minute drive to FX in Waco because they are friendly, fast on repair/battery replacement turnarounds, and honestly offer the highest percentage of game’s market value. I also purchased Fire Emblem Path of Radiance here, and I love it. Thank you guys for being my go-to game store

I genuinely thought i would get little to nothing for my old systems and i couldnt have been more wrong , these guys gave me way better prices then i expected. To top it off they informed me of a sale on the Nintendo switch lites and i was able to get my little one an amazing gift . Positive experience: I love collecting comics, this popped up on google and I was excited to check it out. I did see some more uncommon covers which was nice. Gave a bit of a pawn shop vibe maybe thats intentional? The issue I ran into was the comics and colectables were listed at two and three times their fair market value which left me feeling a little cringy. Not a very good vibe I feel like people probably get ripped off here if they don't do their research.

Negative experience: I brought a Xbox 360 at this store, and it didn’t work they exchanged it for another one, that didn’t work, and the owner responded with all theses lies about me cussing, it’s not true, I ask why didn’t the owner of this store didn’t fix it the first time, I came back twice? Why, is that the way this business owner does business?? No refund, no exchange, he didn’t any offer store credit! He just took my money, he is a liar and a thief.He doesn’t honor is store policies. He can’t exchange my Xbox because he said he exchanged the last one he had to me the day before. But instead of properly refurbishing his systems he just post lies about his customers. And what? I am out of $108. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and made a scam report to the local new station. LOOK AT THE REVIEWS ON YELP, I am not the only person he had scammed. I liked shopping at this establishment and had spent a lot of money here but this is not the way you do business, this is bad business, when a customer complains and the owner has to tell lies to justify his BAD business tactics, instead of fixing the problem in the first place.

Negative experience: Don’t buy used game consoles from this place!!!! They won’t fix them, they can’t exchange like for like, they have a no refund policy only exchange. No in store credit. And they lie !!! Out of $108 bucks because of their so called refurbish junk!!!!

Negative experience: I have brought a xbox 360 console from this place, had trouble with it playing games, I took it back, they exchanged it for another console, that would not connect to WI-FI , took it back, they guy in the back hard wired the internet says” It works for me”, I saw him hard wired it and confronted him about it, and he lied about hard wired. Then he said couldn’t exchange it, wouldn’t refund the money! THEN HE TOLD US HE WILL PERFER US NOT TO SHOP THERE AGAIN. They sell Junk!! Reporting them to the BBB!!

Negative experience: I was told my Xbox would be repaired within two weeks, but shouldn't take more tane a week. I called them a few days later to check on progress. They tell me that the repair guy went on vacation for 8 days and I'd have to wait 4-5 days after he returns. Total would have been 16 days. So I told them I'd like to take it somewhere else. They then refused to refund my deposit. So they basically stole $25 from me! Not cool!

I understand not giving trade quotes, I used to work at a store that did the same thing, however getting snippy about it and not even letting someone finish talking is just uncalled for. Even if they give more for their systems, not going to bother trading mine or buying here anymore. I work at a game store too, never been that rude to a customer.

Fantastic experience: Came in looking to purchase a PS2 and I was just walking around the store looking at games (which the inventory is enormous) and I appreciated that nobody bothered me until I was actually ready for help unlike some stores. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable. After I purchased the console he explained to me their process of refurbishing and their policies and I can assure you I will never go to any other video game store. Prices can seem high If you’re used to some other stores, but the game refurbishing process and fantastic customer service more than make up. Can’t recommend enough! Don’t go to gamestop, go here.

Positive experience: They have cool stuff but don’t come here if you’re looking to purchase a new game. I traded in $130 worth of “in store credit” hoping to use it on Animal Crossing and Doom Eternal. Apparently they don’t buy new games, just used games from their customers.

Fantastic experience: I have a Wii U and I wanna get as many games as possible, and when I saw the shop had Wii U games, I decided to get in, it was a nice and peaceful enviroment, it was easy to find a trademark. They have al lot of games from diferent generations, nice place for gamers like me (and non gamers). Ps. One game I bought did not work on my Wii U

Fantastic experience: Great place for video game memorabilia. They have titles for consoles all around. And they keep the legendary noteworthy stuff behind the counter to display it's worth. A certain employee by the name of Shelby has the know-all knowledge for any suspecting questions you may have, as well as the others of course. They also hold little events & tournaments every now and then, so that's cool too. 10/10 would come back again.
