Negative experience: Never know why I visit this location. Staff is always miserable and complaining about doing their jobs. Will ALWAYs go to the other one from now on.

Positive experience: I recently visited Michigan from out of state and purchased a game for the Xbox 360 titled Wanted: Weapons of Fate. However, upon returning home and opening the case, I discovered that the disc inside was actually Batman: Arkham Asylum, which was not the game I intended to purchase. This appears to have been an oversight during checkout or packaging. I contacted the store to request that the correct disc be shipped to me, given that I live out of state and returning in person isn’t feasible. Unfortunately, I was informed that nothing could be done because the disc wasn’t verified before I left the store. While I understand store policies may vary, I believe it’s reasonable to expect the product to be accurately matched to its packaging at the time of sale. This issue could have easily been resolved by shipping the correct disc—an effort that would take minimal time and cost—but I was disappointed to learn that the store was unwilling to accommodate this solution. I’m reaching out in hopes that this situation can still be made right. I’d appreciate your help in resolving the matter. Update: I was able to speak with the store manager, who resolved the issue by arranging to have the item shipped to me via FedEx. I’ve updated my rating from 1 to 3 stars due to his helpfulness and willingness to address the situation. Unfortunately, my initial experience was less positive—the associate I first spoke with made no effort to find a solution.

Negative experience: “Return” policy is store credit only. The clerk assured my husband that returns are accepted until the end of the month because it’s a Christmas gift, which is why he spent over $100. Had to return it all and there’s almost nothing to spend that store credit on unless we spend much more.

Fantastic experience: I love their Pokemon trade nights! They have great prices on singles, graded cards, and sealed product. The staff is also friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: I had called in to ask a question about bringing ps4s in to resell. The poison in the phone have me that info and then I tenebrous i needed to have my ps5 cleaned. I adjective and I was quoted $30. I said I would have my brother bring it in. When my brother got there, turns out everything i was told was wrong. The Ps5 coaching was actually $70. They could tell this upset my brother and offered to do it for the $30. I thought that was real nice of them.

Positive experience: Awesome little shop with a huge variety of product! Lots of electronics, old/new video games, some comic and Manga selection, vinyl records, and tcg product! Love that they have some singles available for mgt and pokemon. Only wish they'd supply more yugioh product! Great store overall. :)

Fantastic experience: I started going to media reload Burton around 2015-2016 early on it was a wonderful experience and I am still friends with some employees. These days I go to Miller road and love the atmosphere there more than Burton. Employee to customer interaction is just overall better at Miller. I'll always be a loyal customer of media reload either way.

Store is set up nicely, though the back room with arcade games may be in the works of changing, like "out of order," "temporary-break-room." The room looks inviting, but I don't think it's supposed to be accessible to the public, per se.

Negative experience: Prices are okay, could do better with customer service, I had a return a DVD that their store shorted me on, so I had to drive All the way across town to the other store to fix a mistake that could have been prevented the first time, not sure if I'll shop there anymore

Negative experience: Will not shop here, again. The manager with a glasses was very arrogant and started dressing down an employee on the floor for putting CDs under the bin. I stood there and said to the other employee that I was waiting to hear why the CDs shouldn't be stuck under the bin. You don't need to dress your employees down with customers in the store, you always wait until they leave. Very unprofessional.

Positive experience: Straight forward price payout for items. 1/3. So I guess I wasn't able to be ripped off since that's the set standard way they pay people for merchandise to resell and make profit. A pawn shop trys to talk you to lowest you'll take in order to gain as much as possible off your items. This place has amazing stuff. Vintage and new. All game systems and accessories. Huge selection of games and pop figurines and cards.

Prices on items seem to be well above everywhere else for the same stuff you can find anywhere else... I will buy on ebay before I come back to this store. Worst experience I've had in a game store.

Negative experience: Media Reload has changed for the worse. Mgmnt does not care. Employees are rude and condescending. They pay very little yet sell at top dollar retail or more. MR used to be our favorite go to for buying and selling but, NOT ANYMORE.

Negative experience: went in there tonight to sell a macbook, the cashier who was testing it, lied and said when you touch the track pad the cursor drags like when you want to highlight specific apps, i tested it and my trackpad on that mac works fine, and i watched this guy he just stood around in there doing absolutely nothing the whole time. unacceptable, if i "milked the clock", and executed bad customer service at my job, i'd be fired. not going here again.

Negative experience: Most of the games were overpriced even more than ebay. They also offered very low cash/credit toward games. They said they won't do anything about their prices when i confronted them with the online prices. They are more expensive even after their buy 4 get 1 deals. Stick to ebay or other stores around.

Fantastic experience: Amazed. They bought my Magic / Pokémon cards for a very nice price when translated to store credit. I used my store credit to purchase a Gameboy color in great shape. The awesome staff knew what I was looking for (and that it had sold while my store credit was being evaluated) so they priced matched another item which got me a small but very, very nice upgrade. Cannot say enough good things! I cannot wait to come back and say hi! Both of my condone purchases came with extras as well. My Gameboy SP was priced great AND came with a charger. The color came with $5 off a game / other things. That $5 coupon was used to purchase an upgrade for my Gameboy color that was still in the box from like 2000. Great store. Even better staff.

Positive experience: Not a MASSIVE record selection but large enough that they have most of the bands the average person is looking for. Prices are a bit all over the place but for the most part very reasonable. My only complaint would be (and i CANNOT say this is their fault in the slightest) a larger selection of new records and new reissues. Was hoping to find some of the new releases like the new Pink Floyd Animals remix, in person instead of being forced to order them online. But DO stop by and check them out. Friendly, helpful staff and a relaxed looking environment!

Negative experience: I took a 7 piece system into the store and received no help and they were staring at me while I was trying to open the door and they tried to low ball me. They tried to give me false info on the product and offered me only 75 dollars for a used but looks new product which is around 200-250 on eBay. The man who I was talking to said he gave away 1500 dollars the previous day which is irrelevant in the situation and that’s his own fault. Point is, it was bad service and life isn’t always fair but in this case they did not know what they were talking about and were rude. Don’t go here

Negative experience: Went here to sell my Nintendo switch, some games, and a controller. When I arrive to the store for the first time everything seemed to be going OK but there was a small fray in my power cable. They said even though it works they can’t take it. Tells me I just have to get a NEW cable and they can take it. Offered me $30 for Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Switch sports, and a GameCube style switch controller. Surprisingly GameStop gave me more money, but had a laughable trade in price for the switch. A day passes and I get a new switch power cord to take it back to Media Reload. I hand over my console and new cable, and one of the employees straight up scoffs at me and says “Uhhh… nah we can’t take this. Has to be NINTENDO branded, kinda rare to come across”. Yeah thanks for the information ahead of time, I literally asked you over the phone and didn’t get this response. Whatever, turns out Nintendo cords aren’t rare to find, this dude is just trying to lessen what he’s gotta do for his workday. Once I had a Nintendo cord they took everything and gave me $130. If I didn’t need the money right away I would’ve saved the bit of dignity I have.

Negative experience: my experience at the miller road location was absolutely terrible. bought an xbox one that wouldn’t read the game that i bought with it, and wouldn’t eject the dvd i tried putting into it. went up and got a replacement one, and the power brick wouldn’t work properly. after going back up a second time for a second replacement, first guy was completely rude saying i must’ve done something wrong. i was told there was nothing they could do because they managed to get the disc out of the old one, after telling me if this one didn’t work they would upgrade me free of charge. took the console to disc replay to attempt to at least get some of my money back and even disc replay said it wasn’t powering on properly. won’t be shopping here ever again.
