Negative experience: I used to have a better rating for this location. I switched from a 5 star to 1 because of the rude grey haired man who's working today May 6, 2024. He went as far as to claim that the serial # was scraped off something we were selling even though it was in a location he wasn't familiar with. So he doesn't know products and he's accusing good customers of theft. I've spent 1000's at this location and others in Genesee County. This man should not be in customer service. On the way out he acted like he wanted to fight me.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience at this location! Wanted to trade in my switch lite for a switch oled and called ahead to put it on hold and the employee Ethan was more than helpful! Even let me and my boyfriend stay a little bit after close to make sure my switch transferred over! Had great conversation and an amazing experience! Thank you!!

Negative experience: Waited until now to use our gift card and these idiots gave us empty boxes! Didn’t realize until we got home and now they’re going to close! Literally all my kids were looking forward to this weekend! The manager seemed short and like there wasn’t much they could do! Will never visit or recommend this dumb store! Couldn’t even manage ringing up TWO whole games right!!

Fantastic experience: The store exceeded my expectations tonight, I went there to exchange a switch I had bought my son for Christmas that didn't end up working from another store and upon looking at the box and packaging we saw that the other store really messed up my order and these guys tonight went above and beyond to help me get this fixed and I even got a better deal! Thank you so much for helping me and getting this problem fixed and making my son's Christmas a little brighter

Negative experience: Not exepting trade-ins before a major holiday. Just absolute B.S. Last time I will shop at gamestop. Drove 45 mins from a gamestop that told me they had what I wanted in store at this location just to drive here and find they aren't doing trade-ins at the moment.

Negative experience: They have this low price posted really big to all of their items. Then when you get to check-out none of it was that price. When I asked why, they said that the posted prices were for the pro members. Makes no sense to me why it was done like that and it turned me off to them so I put everything back and didn't purchase anything. Got it for cheaper on Amazon anyway.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't gone out on Black Friday for years but did for the grandkids. The store had a great vibe both shoppers and staff. So unlike places I had experienced years before when I said NOPE to doing it EVER again. Being BF of course they were busy but I was approached right away! And while shopping they made an announcement to the shoppers and being that I replied first I got more money off along with the $20 off I had! I walked out with two bags full for all 4 grandkids for under $25! I pointed out who had helped me and found out the young person was just a "maintenance/stock person" only hired for the holidays! I told them I guess they saw that I needed help so they helped me. I was super impressed and will definitely go next Christmas! Lord willing ⛄

Positive experience: Great stop to go to for collectables, however video games have a tendency to be really overpriced... Also had a really bad experence with an agressive employee at this location a year ago, who beraded me for not having Gamestop Pro, and said i was "wasting my money" for buying it...

Negative experience: This place is just a bait-and-switch when it comes to their prices for used Xbox controllers.. it showed multiple Xbox controllers for 39.99 on their actual website for this exact in-store... get to the store they only have $54 controllers ,same exact model same year same color..

Negative experience: Went to pick up an order that my wife placed. I was informed that i could not pick up the order . I had all the correct information. I just wasn't the person that placed the order . No way to fix the issue other then having the wife stop what she was doing picking her up going back to the store and the taking her back to finish what she was doing then going home. I told the clerk to just cancel the order. It was not done. Called customer service and they could not do it because it is at the store level. So now I'm going to either waste a bunch of time and gas money. Or wait for a refund that I might not get. So I will not be spending any more money at gamestop and if you do I would not recommend shopping online with them.

Negative experience: The store here is pretty good, and I haven't had any issues with them. My issue is with Gamestop corporation, as a whole. The Pro rewards you get are so strictly controlled, I find myself unable to use them. In store you can practically use it on anything. Try the website and find that you can't use them on more stuff than you can. Look at the clearanced items. Put 1 in your cart and try to use the Pro rewards 5 dollars. Note how the item is no longer clearanced and you only get $5 off. Redeem your rewards points for any amount off and when you put something in the cart and try to add it (like a clearance item, even though the print does not say it can't be used with clearance) and it will tell you no item is available for that "promo". Spend a bunch of money for pro and get let down. Now they want even more money to become pro and Gameinformer is not worth the cost. I can Google reviews and really see what is going on. Store 5 stars Company 0 stars

Negative experience: Filed a return for a defective game disc that was purchased online and chose this store location to drop off that return. Showed the gentleman working the email with order # and other return info. He said that they could not accept the return without a printed packing slip. Get back home (hour drive, to and from) to check further in to the packing slip and part 1 of the instructions state "If you don't have access to a printer, bring this email to the store with you." Which is exactly what we did and were turned away.

Negative experience: Manager is a crybaby, telling me I was yelling at him when I was just talking at a normal volume. Accused me of stealing when an employee gave me the wrong game in a case for a game I bought. I spend a lot of money on gaming and anime related products now I'm going to have to shop online because GameStop can't hire good help.

Positive experience: Was looking for some pre-owned games. I havent been into a GameStop in a while so i didnt know what to expect. The only games they carry is for the newest consoles ps5, the switch, and Xbox x. They also have a bunch of plushies, figurines, some dnd stuff, and other things like wallets. They have deals that go on which might be good if you have a membership.

Negative experience: The game said it was 39 before and it was on sale at 29 on the tag. But still paid 39. Mabye add the real price to the game tag before i spend 10 extra dollars.

Fantastic experience: I got my white oled switch and a few games. Ended up getting back to my friends house and saw that the games I bought weren't in the cases! Called back immediately and they pulled the games I bought so I could come back and pick them up when I had time. Very friendly staff and very well stocked gamestop compared to most of the ones in Lansing.

Fantastic experience: I've never had a bad experience at this store. The staff are always friendly and if they aren't that busy they will stay and talk with you. It's usually very clean and of course during the winter salt gets everywhere. The store itself is going through a little bit of remodeling of a case but staff always top notch.

Negative experience: Don’t waste your time pre ordering anything from GameStop they won’t have it on the guaranteed day. Like cartman said a big floppy wiener for pre ordering. Thanks for fixing nothing. The associate acted like it was my fault they didn’t keep their word. GameStop doesn’t care about gamers at all.

Negative experience: Today is my girlfriend’s birthday so I took her to game stop to buy her a new Xbox one and let her pick out a few games. We had just left their competitor next-door disc replay And it was full of customers and employees willing to help them yet when I stepped foot into GameStop because disc replay does not sell new systems we were told by the workers that only one of us was allowed in the store I chuckled because as I looked up there was maybe four or five people tops in the entire store Including the two employees. Now keep in mind we had just left a store immediately next-door that had four times the amount of customers four times the amount of workers and 10 times the amount of selection. Needless to say we left the store and drove to media reload on Miller Road and settled for a used system. No wonder GameStop is struggling to stay in business when their employees treat their positions is if they are law-enforcement when customers are trying to spend their hard earned money.

Negative experience: Being in this store nothing new, I've been coming here for years. The store is always unkempt and more than half of the time so are the employees. The store isn't large enough for the product corporate wants on the floor, so when this store is even moderately busy you feel trapped. This visit I had was unacceptable in that I was one of 3 people in the store; the manager, who was the only employee there, had a brief conversation with the other customers and then proceeded to lean on the counter and look bored. She never even acknowledged me in the 45min. I was in the store.

Negative experience: Called and inquired about a PS 4 and the guy told me it would be months before they would be available since they had to be released from China and also asked if I could order one he said that GameStop was completely out. Long story short went online and ordered one the same day and received it today as expected!

Fantastic experience: We had an issue with a game console we bought our grandson for Christmas. We took it back the day after Christmas and they were great about helping us with the return and purchase of a new (different) game console and picking out kid friendly game's for our grandson. Negative experience: Burton location doesn't care about there customers. Every time I have called them I was put on hold. I have waited 15 minutes on hold with no one getting back with me. I finally hung up. Will not visit their location again.
