Negative experience: Wasn’t open at 4:45pm. Open sign was on, lights were one. Door was locked. Ridiculous.

Negative experience: Went for the midnight release for God of War Ragnarok. Got there at 11:33pm when we pulled up one employee left right away another sat there for a minute then drove off. Waited till 12:06 with 2 other vehicles waiting with us. We were called on Monday telling us to be there for the midnight release. Why do so if you're just going to leave.

He did make me buy a skin to sell my like new playstation 4 pro or they wouldn’t take it due to a small scratch. However, I think thats just a cash grab. I think the company makes them do that, not the employees fault. They had the skins right next to the register like its normal procedure, which made me question it. Then he told me he couldn’t give me full price unless I purchased a membership. I’m just like, would you like me to donate to gamestop as well Lol. Besides that though, it was a cool store!

Positive experience: Got my copy of mario party superstars.I didn't have to wait and it was the day it released.If you have a game pre-ordered make sure you pick it up that day it comes out or they will sell it.Happened to me with streets of rage anniversary collection.

Negative experience: GameStop, the company is fine. This particular store on West Riverside Blvd is worst in the city of Rockford Illinois. I haven't had a bad experience there until now. I don't know what's going on at that store but I'll never go back. I've been doing business with GameStop for over 20 years! Hard core gamer! I was definitely treated like I wasn't wanted. .....like i bothered them for showing up and voluntarily giving my gaming products away for the second time in 7 days . I even had my son in with me and it was like pulling teeth to treat him with any sort of appreciation for buying stuff with his own money as a 9 year old. It took a lot out of me to remain even keel while being sneak dissed to my face in front of my son. Just know that Machesney Park Illinois GameStop is now my first option from now on. They actually make me feel like a regular person, not some unknowingly, ignorant person.

Negative experience: Don’t ever preorder anything from GameStop online. They’re late to send out your game so you will receive after the game is released. Funny thing is the preorder is to receive the game before launch date!!! Scam

Fantastic experience: Was another great experience. Kid was looking to sell old games and systems, controllers, ect.. walked out selling 90% . I was happy with the amount she got, and it's not my stuff. Lol. Staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. Will go back with more stuff. They sell new and used items.

I almost felt as if I had ninja'd past them, because the only time they spoke was when they ask if I found what I needed as I was leaving to go next door.
