Negative experience: I had a coupon that could only be used online and was told I could place the online order while I was in store and they would pick the order and send me on my way. After ordering my product I was told by a different associate that an online order would “take multiple hours” to even show up on their end of the computer, and that I should just come back later. A little irritating but okay whatever; I left and went home. As soon as I pulled into my driveway and got inside I got an email stating that my order was ready - 30 minutes are initially placing the order. Why did we feel the need to misguide a customer? Turned one trip into two, and a simple stop in visit to a back and fourth problem.

Negative experience: Bought a game earlier today center of the game was cracked in the the middle game didn't even work paid for a broken game

Negative experience: I tried to return a playstation portal I bought yesterday. I was only able to get trade in value for it. I asked Andy the store manager if he was able to change the amount for trade in as it was half of what I paid yesterday. He said no and we went forward with the trade in. As I was looking at the switches to see if I like them. I heard Andy whispering to an employee and overheard "i would lose my job" with a laugh. I confronted him about talking behind my back and how it was very unprofessional and he proceeded to get very aggressive and kicked me out of the store. Would recommend going down the street to the less crowded gamestop where the employees dont try to scare you.

Negative experience: Stood in line while guy was chatting up a customer doing a system trade in which apparently isn’t even working. Answered the phone, no eye contact. Couldn’t be bothered to ring out a child.

Negative experience: Went in to place an online order for a game but he ordered 2 copies of the 1 game I wanted, causing my order to get canceled. Which will now mean I will have to fight with Gamestops horrible customer service, this company needs to stop micromanaging its employees and let store leaders handle their own stores. I should be able to refund this order IN STORE immediately. Gamestop is an anticonsumer business

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would give this entire company a 0. This is my first and only time ever doing anything with GameStop. Submitted a psa order in October, it pinged my phone on January 2nd, 2026 that it was ready for pickup. Well I got sick so I couldn’t pick it up until January 8th. On January 6th a store member from GameStop calls me and leaves a voicemail explaining that they would be dropped off at the Manchester mall GameStop store and I would be able to pick them up at this store as the Concord location is closed. Flash forward to today the 8th the Manchester mall GameStop hasn’t even had them transferred into there system so I can’t even pick up my cards before I go on a vacation. 6 days it has been ready for pick up but apparently not ready for pick up although the box is currently in their store.

Negative experience: Its the better store of the 2 in Manchester. The staff is (mostly) friendly. I did have an issue there with an employee a few months ago. I brought in some stuff to sell and, I guess it was a little late, I had an hour before they closed and no.one else was in the store. The employee just had a bad attitude towards me, and was looking for any excuse why he couldn't take my stuff. He plugged my Xbox 360 in while I was walking around and messed around with it for a few minutes when he calls me over saying he cant power on the controller to access the console, he mad a show of hitting the center button on the controller, and sure enough it didn't turn on. He said he needs to bee able to check the system. I asked him, are they dead batteries you put in it. He handed me the controller and I took out the batteries and yes they were dead. I gently bit into it and there was no give. He put dead batteries into the controller ( i cant say he did it 100 % sure, on purpose. But come on your a video game store you dont have batteries handy.) Luckily I brought a charge pack threw it in and it started right up. 10 minuyes later he again calls me over the say that he couldn't accept the system. There was a small Crack on the corner of the shell of the console. Merely cosmetic. I was missed. I said to him, you were going to refuse to buy it from the beginning. You were looking for an excuse not to buy it from me. I left the store with my stuff and wanted to call corporate but decided against it. They already give you way way less then anybody else for your electronics. And now on top of that they have ways to trick the customer so they don't have to buy your stuff. I have to say it but I'll be glad when. They go out of business. Its only time. I used to love this store. Until I found out all the things they do behind the scenes to get one over the consumer.

Negative experience: Absolutely unprofessional service. Do not shop here as you will have no recourse on purchases. The sales staff is petty and rude.

Thomas P Messina Jr Posted on Google 7 months ago

Negative experience: Walked in was greeted asked if I needed anything told him I was just looking just for him to keep bothering me I walked out as he would not let me shop in peace making me forget items I was shopping for. So I'm ordering off Walmart and Amazon was in market for (3) PS5 so GameStop just missed out on over a $1,500 sale

Negative experience: I was just in the store picking up a game and had a very unpleasant experience. Best Buy didn’t have the game I wanted so I decided to check to see if they had it. The one positive is they did have it but that is where the positives stopped. I had the misfortune of having Andrew as my sales associate. GameStop is not somewhere I shop often so I have no need for their “rewards” system. But that didn’t stop Andrew from trying to add to my purchase anyways. After multiple times saying no and then telling me Best Buy is terrible store because they were out of the product I was looking for. He finally removed the rewards from my transaction. I try to primarily shop at local shops and not Best Buy or GameStop and this is exactly why. Employees like Andrew. He shamed me for where I chose to shop, and the fact I had one transaction at a different location so I should of got a rewards program that I didn’t want to pay for nor would I utilize.

Tim Currier Posted on Google 8 months ago

Negative experience: The kid working in the store was super polite while he was trying to sell me a membership. He told me it was free, and that I would be getting more from my iPhone trade-ins by being a member. What he didn't tell me was that the $25 cost of the membership was being paid for out of the additional trade value. When I called him out on his sales tactic, he became confrontational. Then, the person who appeared to be his manager came over and also said the membership was free. Well, my receipt shows $25. I have $25 less than what I should have gotten from the trade-ins.

Negative experience: Came into the store yesterday to just browse around and was grossed out. Looks like they haven't vacuumed the floor in months. And we were there around 3 so it wasn't a full day of people coming in and out. Just shows the employees do not care at this location. It would take 10 minutes to do this job.

Negative experience: This store in particular is awful. Came in with my son as he wanted to trade in a console and video games. Was greeted by Charlie. She was not helpful and was distracted flirting with her friends or other customers. It was very odd and inappropriate, especially with my son there. Thankfully he was distracted with games and toys. Ultimately we did not do business because she had no idea what she was doing and was taking extremely long to process things out because again, she was flirting with other people. Hopefully they coach and train their employees to do better cause the bare minimum was missed.

Negative experience: I drove out to GameStop tonight to buy my friend a Nintendo Switch 2 pro controller and some games for his birthday, then I picked out a couple games for myself. I got in line with the ticket for the Pro controller and 6 games at 7:55pm. There were 4 people in front of me. By the time it was my turn it was 8pm exactly and the guy said that he had to close the store. I asked if he could just please ring me up because I was going to surprise my buddy with this stuff tonight and he refused. What type of business turns down a $360 sale because they’re too lazy to stay literally 30 extra seconds to ring up the last person. Needless to say I shouldn’t procrastinate buying gifts but I won’t ever bring this place my business again, I’ll just order online. I hope everyone shorts their stock and I hope that dude enjoyed getting out 30 seconds early at the expense of me wasting 30 minutes going there

Jackson Kastelic Posted on Google 10 months ago

Negative experience: GameStop has the worst return policy of any store. Make sure you are aware of it before you buy anything here.

chris faloney Posted on Google 10 months ago

Negative experience: Cashier seemed angry that i didn’t pay for the rewards program. He practically threw my purchase at me when i was finished.

Justin Godbyr Posted on Google 1 year ago

Positive experience: Walked in and wasn't greeted or asked if I needed help. The workers could care less that I was there and even when I had a question, they would act like they couldn't hear me and walk away. They never have any pokemon in stock. Then the one time they answered me, he got angry when I asked if they had any more cards out back. This is why gamestop is gonna go belly up soon. Bad service, selling cards for over MSRP, they're no better than the scalpers...

Negative experience: I visited the GameStop location on South Willow Street today, and the experience left me deeply disappointed. This particular store holds nostalgic significance for me, as it was once a FunkoLand, a place where gaming enthusiasts like myself could explore a vast selection of games and hardware. Over the years, GameStop took over and, while always known for low trade-in values, still managed to create a clean, inviting environment with abundant inventory and exciting events like midnight releases. Back then, I could browse shelves filled with games for systems like Xbox, PlayStation 2/3, GameCube, PSP, DS/3DS, and more. Holiday sales like “buy two, get one free” were common, and finding hidden gems or stocking up on a multitude of games for $50-$60 was a regular occurrence. The stores were well-maintained, fully stocked, and felt alive with the gaming community. Fast forward to 2024, and this location is now a shadow of its former self. The store feels almost entirely empty, with about 90% of the floor space unused. There’s little to no selection of games—used or new. The only products that seem to have any presence are a small, unimpressive wall of Funko Pops with little variety. Used switch games are also listed for $60. The condition of the store is appalling. The floors are filthy, ceiling tiles are water-damaged and literally falling down, and the front desk is disorganized, damaged and grimy. The counters and walls, which once displayed game-related memorabilia and hardware, are barren, contributing to the overall feeling of neglect. I visited in search of a used copy of a Nintendo Switch game, but the selection was nonexistent. Most of the few games they had lacked OEM cases, which only added to the lackluster experience. While I was there, at least eight other customers came in and left empty-handed because the store didn’t have what they needed. To make matters worse, I witnessed a customer attempting to return a defective controller suffering from stick drift that he had purchased just a week prior. The store couldn’t help him because their warranty system requires a receipt, with no way to track purchases or warranties otherwise. I genuinely feel bad for the employees who are left to deal with these conditions. They seem to lack proper support from the company, and the decline in quality has turned many customers against them through no fault of their own. GameStop, as a company, has let its stores deteriorate to such an extent that they now feel more like abandoned buildings than places for gaming enthusiasts. I truly hope the hardworking staff at this location find better opportunities, as they deserve far more than the situation they’re currently stuck in. GameStop needs to reflect on what made it a cornerstone of gaming culture and work to regain the trust of customers. Until then, this store—and others like it—will continue to be a sad reminder of what once was.

Fantastic experience: Best Gamestop in the area by far. The store is bright, beautiful and nostalgic. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. The new management has this place held down rock solid because this is definitely the closest thing to a 2006 Gamestop you'll find. Respect where respect is due ✨️

Negative experience: An item showed to be "in stock" online, updated TODAY it said as I drove to the mall in my work wear all scrubbed out. And I find no such item in stock, not even an empty box. Item was NFL trading cards. Prestige to be precise

Kyle Ross Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: They had a game clearly marked as new for $40. I went to pay for said game as one does in such situations. He then pulled a switcheroo and said it's actually $70 and he just hadn't put the new price on yet... This is the first time I've had false advertising get me and it sucks. Worst part is someone got me a gift certificate so I'll have to give them my business at some point. Learning experience for sure!

Negative experience: I was very curious about adding a SSD card to my PS5. As I happen to take notice at this location and wanted more info on it. Let me just say. It didn't go as expected. The employee had no idea what I was talking about nor can explain about the product itself. After trying to point out exactly I was looking at and wouldn't let me read the box. Okay I get it it's a $100 product.. I left very upset not being able to learn more about the SSD card. Wanting to improve my gaming experience. I ended up with a very positive result. At Best buy. Ya it was $20 more but I was able to compare and get all the info I needed to satisfy with what I'm looking for. It really bothers me that GameStop can be a jerk sometimes

Negative experience: Ordered a game from this local and they sent me the wrong edition and I was going to go into the store today and they weren’t open I use to like this store but not anymore

lenny constant Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Friendly easy to get help with getting items that require an associates help very knowledgeable about most if not all games and game questions you may have for them I definitely appreciate the feedback on the games I'm interested in buying before I drop 60$ or 70$ on a single game that without the insight and blind purchase I could and usually do end up hating and once you buy it new open it and play it you basically lose all of the money you spent because you can't return it at that point you have to take trade in prices which is a terrible hit when you could just ask the cashier have you played it what did you think explain the type of gamer and how you typically play yourself and ask if that game would be a good fit for someone who plays like you do before making a 60$ or 70$ decision since I see most new PS5 games that are pre orderable right now and the basic version of the games are now 69.99$ which is crazy what's next basic version 99.99$ with the next generation console release

Tim Duffy Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: Don't order online for in-store pickup. They are closed 90% of the time, even during normal business hours, probably because they are understaffed or the staff they do have is underpaid.

The least he could have done is look at us, but I would have really appreciated him telling us he would be with us in a moment. We put the items back after waiting for 10 minutes and walked out.

Negative experience: FRAUD ALERT!! Please for the love of God if you bought anything here during the holiday season double check your receipt to make sure they didn't fraudulently ring up a warranty for a game you may have purchased Richard the cashier attempted to do this to me and I caught him and he laughed about it I've tried for over a week to get in touch with a district manager and nobody has called me back if you did have something fraudulently run up make sure you contact your bank and have them refund it fully as a fraudulent charge.

James Vayo Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: Went to game stop at mall of nh on Monday jan 18 to buy $499 Xbox. Young kid asks me if I have a mask. I said no I have a medical exemption. He says he does not care and if I do not leave the store immediately he will call security. I WILL NEVER SHOP IN ANY GAME STOP EVER AGAIN FOR BEING TREATED SO DISREPECTFULLY.

Chris WB Posted on Google 5 years ago

Positive experience: With so little ability these days to find good, friendly and helpful customer service it was such a pleasant surprise when the young man at Game Stop took the time to answer my questions with a pleasant attitude and the patience needed to deal with a non-gamer mom like myself trying to shop for her young new gamer. Both employees working there were helpful and pleasant to those with questions and were obviously knowledgeable listening to their answers. What they did not know they discussed and even tried researching. Years ago I think this would have been expected but is truly so hard to find these days and I am very grateful for all the great customer service found here. The bad part of the experience came from both my husband and I standing in line with the showcased game cover to present to purchase the game and finding out that they did not have that game available. Frustrating but happens. But, then, the next two customers heard the same thing. Not available. A man came in looking for a gaming system and after answering all of his questions the friendly staff revealed that the system was not available there and near impossible that it would be found anytime soon. As the timing of the visit was only days before covid Christmas, milling in the store and waiting long period of time in a line for barely there stock presented as available was really frustrating and not a great practice. If it is not in stock then don't display it and make clear the availability of products.

Negative experience: Cool store, well stocked.. but wow, unknowledgeable employees... I came in to ask a few questions, and what a waste of time... I asked about several games, and two different gaming systems (Nintendo Switch, & XBox One S).. and could not get one helpful answer.. I had to go on YouTube when I left to get any type of idea... Now I understand if you took the job not really knowing much about gaming... but when you have two employees, that are adults, and not children, don't you think it may be slightly advantageous to learn a thing or two about the products you sell?? Having a knowledgable staff is usually recommended Game Stop!!.. Take some F'ing pride in your work for Christ sake... I'm not a big gamer, my children are, and I knew more than these toolbags.. so, great store, convenient locale, terrible employees.... I guess good help must be hard to come by, huh Game Stop?.. as if knowing nothing wasn't bad enough, they were kind of rude too.... suffice it to say, I was under impressed, enough to take the time to tell all of you about the experience... ☝️☠.

Ibrahim Bholat Posted on Google 7 years ago

Negative experience: Employee was very passive aggressive and seemed like he didn't care to help. I admit my situation was a bit abnormal and unusual, but the employee seemed to not care to help me. Might as well be prejudice against me due to how he was happily able to help those in front of me, but seemed like he didn't want anything to do with me. However, I can't confirm it so just be careful.
