Negative experience: Be aware! They no longer ask you if you want to purchase the game protection plans or if you want to renew an old membership anymore. They just ring all that up without asking you. Make sure you ask if it has been added before you pay because they won't tell you or show you. Just wanted to buy a couple games for my boys. This makes the first time I've bought that protection plan In about 15 years. Used to buy it with each game until the first time I needed it and they decided they wouldn't honor it. So I refused it ever since and haven't needed it. Never again. It's dishonest buisness is what it is.
Negative experience: I went to this gamestop on 2 different occasions in the passed month and the same guy that was there is not good at his job he had the place closed with a sign that said he was in the bathroom and would be back. Today I went there and asked him if they sold a game and he said that its only a pc game I just looked it up because I knew it was fishy. He is not good at customer service and they should get a replacement.
Negative experience: Submitted some cards to get graded here. Dropping off was great at this location versus the one on 288. That location told me they couldnt even grade my cards w gamestop. But after waiting 3 months for the submission to come back, i get an email saying the slabs are ready for pick up. Drive to the store after work and the store’s internet is down??? Couldnt look up my order even though they have my cards. Guy said give it a week? Lol okay this experience has been pretty bad GameStop. Like every service yall have ever provided my entire life, very poor execution
Negative experience: This is the worst gamestop we come to. if you are not selling items you are basically ignored. We have been multiple times where the only employee is buying items in at the expense of ringing up customers who want to check out. If you are not going to staff more than 1 employee at a time on a weekend, then you shouldn't allow bugs to come in, or you should at least make it a drop where paying customers aren't ignored. Even the customer selling told the girl to stop & ring us up & she refused. When she finally did make it to us, after standing in line for 10 minutes (seriously 12:04pm to 12:14pm when we walked out) the item we are purchasing rings for the wrong price. So she proceeded to tell us how all those signs (like 4 or more of them) saying $12 should have been taken down already & they are $20 instead. That's not the customers fault! They should honor the price on the signs ON TOP of the fact that we waited 10 minutes, so it would just be the right thing to do. This location has 100% lost my business. We will not come back.

Negative experience: They have issues answering the phone. I called and they said "I will put you on brief hold" and then never answered the phone again for it to eventually hang up. I called back immediately and instantly just asked the simple question I had and they gave me the answer, but they should have just took my question to begin with before putting me on hold.
Negative experience: Been calling for literal days to ask a simple question about inventory. Never answered the phone. Also not calling during peak hours.
Negative experience: Doesn't open on time, I got here right when the said they would open and was left waiting at least 30 minutes before I just decided to leave

Negative experience: Had a very unpleasant experience here. Went in for Pokémon cards, of course there was non considering the recent scalpers. My issue was I picked up an item that had sleeves and top loaders in a clear box and the price was 6.99. Went up to check out and it rang up 8.99. The worker says nothing about it. I went ahead and paid because I thought I read I wrong. I checked again. Yep, 6.99. So I got a refund. The issue was he didn’t seem surprised by the false price and didn’t tell me it was actually 8.99. Is this a thing that’s happening now?

Negative experience: Usually I don't leave reviews but.... I stopped by to see if they had any cute pokemon merch on clearance, and we passed the PS5 controllers. My fiance had just read an IGN article about Sony increasing the prices on all dual sense controllers with the release of the PS5 pro, and we were discussing it while browsing. Out of nowhere, an employee (tall, blonde) loudly interjects that the prices for controllers have never changed and have always been the rate that was displayed. She was basically arguing with him while he tried to explain that he wasn't talking about this store, and she kept interrupting him and insisting he was wrong (girl was seriously arguing with her whole chest, it wasn't that deep). 1) we weren't talking to you. This was a conversation between myself and my fiance 2) the pricing HAS changed, both of us bought DualSense controllers from different retailers at different times this year. You can literally look up multiple articles about this 3) this is not how you interact with strangers, ESPECIALLY if you are a store employee. Even if he was incorrect, who cares?? Nobody else was in the store trying to buy PS hardware. I hate to sound like a Karen, but seriously I don't think I've ever had an interaction with someone like this in a store. It was uncomfortable, and usually we both enjoy talking about gaming with people. I used to frequent the store on brinker and had plenty of friendly and enjoyable conversations with staff about the state of the industry. Our experience today was not welcoming or appropriate.
Negative experience: I'm trying to place an online order and I'm setting up an account because you don't have a choice. I enter all my info. I do the "I'm not a robot recaptcha". I press submit and it bounces me. Tried a number of times. I will never purchase from you.
Negative experience: These people need to learn to answer there phones I try to call for 30 mins because I stay 30 mins away and these are the only people who have the headset I got their in the a/c and I know it don’t take 30 mins just to help a customer

Negative experience: I bought a ps5 a year ago and the lady made me buy a membership when I knew I didn’t need one to buy it but she said I couldn’t get it without the membership even though that was a thing when the ps5 first came out even on google it says you didn’t need a membership anymore and the employee is just trying to scam me and now I forgot about it and it renewed for another year I haven’t shopped in a GameStop in years I only got it there for the ps5 anyway, don’t ever let them scam you for a membership.

Negative experience: Went in there to get a couple games for my kids that I had in there with me and the girl in there asked for my number for the membership and she saw I needed to renew, which was fine and I paid that, then I ask to put some money down on a game and she tells me I need to show my ID to put a down payment on a game cause it's a rated R game, so I can renew a membership without an ID but I can't put money on a game without an ID cause it's rated R, so I'm trying to figure out and asking why is it I can't put money down on a game without a ID and she gets mad and tells me that's our policy and says swipe your card or leave! Last time I checked a customer is allowed to ask why they can't do something that clearly is wrong, all I was trying to do is put money down on a game as I have many times before not buy it right then and never have had to show an ID to put money on a game, only when you actually pick up the game. She clearly didn't like being told she was wrong.

Positive experience: Usually I have had good experiences with Gamestop. I pre-ordered Mortal Kombat premium edition for my son. I paid it in full,$119.-. My son said it would be released on 14 Sept. The employee INSISTED it would be released 19 Sept. On 19 September, my son and I show up to pick up his game. There is no game. Seems it WAS released on the 14th of September. I NEVER received an email, text, phone call , or smoke signal. So what do they do? They sell my ALREADY PURCHASED copy of the game to someone else! I got my $$$back , and right there in Gamestop, bought it on Amazon. I called Gamestop corporation to let them know about this. I MIGHT still go in to buy stuff, but I won't pre-order anything with them.
Negative experience: GameStop THIEFS!!!!! OK so u pre order a game from GameStop on University Drive Denton Texas. U go on the day the check out person tells u to pick up ur game, mind u paid already for game. U get to GameStop only to b told u didn't get phone call days early. Negative experience: I have the same issue with this store. They are ALWAYS late opening. It’s not like a once in a while thing. It’s every single time I go there. We’re talking 15 to 30 minutes late opening. I absolutely hate coming to this store but sometimes it’s the only store in the area that has what I’m looking for. The staff is friendly. But seriously when the store hours says 11am or 12. It’s only a suggestion. The store on BRINKER is incredibly good. But their inventory is lacking. I’m heading up to the University store today and I already know I’ll be waiting for it to open.

Negative experience: So we head here at about 11:40 am and the store wasn't even open. They were supposed to open at 11 am. Then we go to racetrack and come back and they STILL were closed. No notes on the door or Anything. So we wait until 12:20 PM and the employee finally gets there to open the store. There was another employee inside the store as well because when we go in there, there were 2 employees. At least they were nice when we walked in the store. Thing is this store is always late to open. This would be the second or third time we arrived and they weren't open at opening time.
Fantastic experience: Came in yesterday about two broken PS4 controllers and was greeted by Elizabeth. She was exceedingly helpful in providing advice for the issues they had and with my eventual decision to go ahead and get a new one while turning the broken ones in. I commend her attitude and easy going nature which is something I really value in a customer service experience. She's a gooden and if she hasn't been given one yet, y'all should give her a raise, just sayin.

Negative experience: Game Stop is scalping the new game systems you want. They are making you buy huge bundles over $800 of low quality games and accessories that no one needs or wants with their system. No wonder they still have them in stock.
Positive experience: Man I like this GameStop but today I can’t hold my frustration, can an employee call dibs on an item? Maybe yes but at least put it away, do not display them. The company received the item I wanted and well the person had it displayed in the counter and when asked the employee said he bought it. Is really frustrating but again that’s the game I guess.

Fantastic experience: I like coming in to find a new cool tee shirt or socks. A lot of my Marvel tees come from this location. I like the counter person, he is always friendly and very knowledgeable. They always tend to have the games I seek on hand, except on rare occasions. If you are looking for a Baby Grogu waffle maker, this is the place. I got a Baby Grogu hoodie this time around.

Negative experience: Placed an online order for 2 items which were just updated as “in stock” and because they are hard to find an employee decided to cancel one of my order and buy it for themselves. What a crooked employee. Horrible customer service. Horrible salesmanship. I am reporting this to the better business bureau as well. I hope the clown responsible loses their job because you may not take from a customers order especially when clocked in. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION, they take a week to refund your stolen order and effectively get a interest-free loan. No wonder this company is pushing bankruptcy. Negative experience: Make sure that if you're getting something used, you're actually getting what they said you are. Bought what I was told was an official product and paid full price for it, turns out it's a Chinese knockoff and I could've gotten it for about a third of the cost. It could've been an honest mistake on their part, and at least the employees were nice, but that doesn't change the fact that they were selling 3rd party hardware as an official product and for the price of an official product.

Since it’s been a while since we have had cable since we prefer Netflix we had no idea what games to get. Grant was super helpful when my son kept asking 101 questions and advice on what to get based on the type of games he likes. He picked out a few choices and let us look around and decide, 5 games later we got an awesome deal and even got lifetime warranty on all games for a dollar extra per game. Thanks GameStop and grant for making out visit super pleasant and inexpensive. Game on LOL!
