Positive experience: Love this place, excellent service from the staff and a great selection of Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Games. From What i understand too, This store is one of the other stores that have Retro games available, Tons of 360, DS and PS3 games along side some GBC, GBA and even SNES Games from time to time. The Trade-in policy is ok, For some reason they do not accept Passports but one of the employees allow us to use his own ID to continue the trade in! Overall, This Store is wonderful and i might even consider apply there for a Job if i get the chance to join up!

Negative experience: Don’t order online to pick up. It’s not accurate. I Had to cancel my order through GameStop customer service because sopposely the store told me when I called hours later that they canceled it from their side. Which they lied about(order was still active),not even a call saying sorry we couldn’t fulfill your order. I Wasted of money and time and now i have to wait for my money. Definitely some funny business going on. May ya get the life ya deserve.

Fantastic experience: The store is clean and okay but what really made my day was working with Melody. Melody helped my wife and I buy a switch 2. A day later we returned with some trade ins and they were more then willing to help us. The store was busy and they were the only one there. Extremely pleasant to be around and knowledgeable of the procedure.

Negative experience: Disappointed to discovered Gamestop marked up msrp by 50% on a new product still regularly stocked, then to have the worker claim my asking if there was any stock in the back room is a strategy used by thieves. Generally have good service here, not sure what the issue with the gal today, but she spoke intrusive thoughts to a paying customer and I’m not sure why. Especially considering I have cards being psa graded through this store, I want to always be welcomed back. Strange energy. Editing this now after getting scammed by GameScalp for Ascended Heroes and the Pokemon Day promo pack. Why are they charging 50% more for the blisters and 100% more for the Pokemon Day promos on the release day? That’s insane. Pokemon should stop supplying these scalpers, what a joke. Found another store with the sticker blisters for $18, GameStop sold the newly released freshly delivered blisters for $28. Pokemon day promos at the other store were also $18, GameStop is selling them for $38. Insane that they are a retail store with fresh stock and scalping new products to their pro members and calling it a discount. Lesson learned, they’re gonna have their stock pile up at those prices. BE WARNED

Negative experience: Store hours say 11 to 9 but when I showed up at 7:50 the store door was looked. The sign says open. I saw the employee a young man in a black hoodie walk out of the back to get his drink from the counter to go right back to the back of the store, crazy.

Negative experience: Came two separate times to buy my son a game and both times the employee was taking a mandatory break. This time he was still there but would not help us before his break. When asking for the managers phone number he said he is not allowed to give it out. How disappointing and I wonder how much business they miss out on with this poor management practices? Go elsewhere and save your self the headache.

Negative experience: Last Wednesday at around 2:00, a (large) woman at the counter with a crew cut haircut told my dad "he belongs in a museum" ?? And then proceeds to attack him verbally, bringing up politics and calling him a racist when he was trying to talk about his original playstation console You guys really need to let up with this brainwashed indoctrination hate spreading crap. Negative experience: After having customer service assure me there would be no issues with an instore return, they still would not help me. Wasted 2 hours trying to exchange an item I received a week earlier. No help here. When the world realizes that shiny cardboard at double the suggested retail price isn't worth the cost, gamestop will not survive. Feeding on FOMO is unacceptable and a bad business model.

Negative experience: I like GameStop because often I can come here to meet up with people in a safe space to trade MTG cards and Pokemon or other Game related items. Always the employees are nice and understanding that we are just trying to be safe. More often then not I'll end up buying something afterwards because that's courtesy. First time today a GameStop employee told us to leave, she was clearly the manager, and clearly was uncomfortable with us being there. Honestly that's fine, I'll gladly go to the other GameStop's around town who are nice, and really don't care as long as you are being respectful. The guy I met up with told me the girl who told us to go outside said she wasn't a tyrant just not 2 minutes ago to her employee.I think not, power trippin much? Do yourself a favor and go to the other great stops around Reno.

Negative experience: It's very obvious they're going out of business for a solid reason I bought $140 console and the controller has been a pain it looks like they pre-built it and try to sell it as a new controller the back right capping fell off it was just inside a box with the joysticks only thing being saved from hitting around the box the left pause button is not pressible it feels like it's sticky or stuck the up on the d-pad does not work you have to click it to where you can break the controller the controller itself has disconnecting issues keeps beeping and does not take no batteries called GameStop service ask the lady for her name to start the conversation she ignored me and kept asking for the shipping information after other attempts yo wasu finally said her name also mentioned to her that the controller was the only problem the Xbox plus cord were all fine she stated that the controller and a Stern voice that the controller is not the problem the controller has time to say and since it's new and if we would want to return it we would have to return the entire thing she said no matter if the Xbox works and the court works we want all of it back and will give you your money back and for being a legally blind and disabled person myself I feel like they slapped my face and defecated on my doorstep because they got me good it's very strange and odd they tell you to let the controller set in with the refund time is only 7 days they're going out of business their stocks show these creators clear out stores for them but it's not enough have a good life in bankruptcy

Negative experience: Gamestop has really stepped up their game (pun intended) with card sleeves, computer help, and cute hello kitty merch. I thought it was really incredible to see the game selection expand to hold older console games and that this was going to be a good experience, however, I then sat in line for a half hour with no movement or apology instead tried to upcharge us on every little thing, so it was not worth it.

Fantastic experience: Quick and friendly service. The place was packed for Black Friday deals and it was still fast. And the deals!!! Reminds me why online shopping can truly suck at times tho convenient. But GameStop? I will always go in store and purchase my holiday game gifts. And when it’s not holidays I find things specific for myself as well, including Hello Kitty and Always Always Mario!!

Negative experience: The posted hours on the storefront is horribly wrong. Even corporate has gotten onto the store manager about it and nothing changed. The true store hours are 12:30pm to 7:00 pm everyday

Negative experience: Refuses to swap out a defective controller, with proof of purchase, and less than 30 days old. Brand new controller. Took it to another store. Not a single issue. Bad customer service trained here. The manager on the phone told the employe helping me I was able to go to a controller repair shop. Like capn games. Don't buy new equipment here

Negative experience: Unfortunately bad overall experience. I normally shop at a locally owned game store in town, but they didn't have what I was looking for. Three GameStop's in town, it was nice that they could tell me which one of the stores had what I was looking for. Saturday before Easter I was in search of Insta Sports on Nintendo Switch, the one that contained bowling. One store I called had ,instasports summer games but said the store in Mae Ann had the regular insta sports. So at the Name Ann store I grabbed the pre-owned case that said instasports. Paid $32 and some change for it and added to my Son's Easter basket. I failed to look at the cartridge until my Son opened it on Easter and the game in the box was 'instasports summer games" it was not what I thought I bought. Then it was not compatible as my Son has the Nintendo Switch light and not the regular Nintendo switch, so not verifying cartridge and not getting the light compatible I will take blame for. Just now, Monday after Easter I came back for a refund or store credit? Was told because the game does not match the game that the pre-owned box says it is, my choices where $8 store credit or $6.40 cash back? After looking at inventory I took the cash back, so at the end of the day my experience with GameStop was a $26 donation. I won't say that I won't ever shop here again, but I will try not to if future inventory I am looking for is found elsewhere. Unfortunately I do understand that this policy may have been put in place because of past scammers, but I'm an Army Vet, Father of 2 and make an honest living. Just don't want to be looked at as someone trying to get over on the store. Next time I'll do my due dillegince and verify product and compatibility.

Had to take it up with the credit card company or manager tomorrow. Not a good way to run a business. It's not like it was $20.00. Fantastic experience: I bought my first game console here at age 10, in 2003. My brother and I sold lemonade to earn enough to buy our own console and at the time we hadn't thought about need more than one controller as that's not what a kid thought about. However I remember when we went to buy the console the manager took pity and bought us a controller with his own money so my brother and I could play games together. Will never forget this location and hope that the staff there today is as wonderful as they were in 2003!

Negative experience: Had a terrible customer service experience with their employee Patrick. He was rude and continued to make comments about how the store was closing soon. I made sure to call 45 mins before the store closed and explained what I needed to exchange and that I knew it took time. Patrick TOLD me to come down and get it taken care of. While I was there he talked down on the condition of my equipment (I didnt care what I got for it I was just looking to upgrade to a ps4 pro) and keep saying the store was closing in a unprofessional and rude manner. Why would someone tell a customer to come down if they didnt want to deal with it and then make them feel like they were in the wrong when I called to make sure it was okay beforehand?! After leaving and getting home I realized that he some how put my black playstation into safe mode. I finally get it out and now all it does is shut down constantly. I came in with a great attitude and excited to upgrade to a brand new ps4 pro and left with a busted ps4 and terrible customer service experience. I will make sure to tell others of the way Patrick treated me and will make sure others know to avoid this location if they are seeking a positive customer service experience

Fantastic experience: Best Customer service. Any time I visit this store the employees there always go out of their way to make sure I have the best experience. I always do the surveys at the bottom of the receipt, but I feel like for all the times I left this store smiling, I needed to leave a review here too. We aren't super close to this GameStop but they've done right by us so many times, this is the only store I like going to now. Best example, My dog got to my PS4 controller. I figured it was garbage and I would have to get a new one for full price, but surprisingly they gave me store credit for the broken one about $20 and I was able to get the new control for less out of pocket. I do realize this isn't the amazing part because all stores can do this but while going through the transaction, Nate, was sympathetic and made the interaction personal by asking me about my dog and adding that even though Dogs can be destructive we still love them. This is why I will always come back, because of sweet little interactions such as these. I never once felt like an idiot for leaving the control at a height in which my dog could get to the controller even though I probably am.
