Fantastic experience: Great local gamestores are hard to come by however kickback is the best one in Lincoln, staff is helpful and there is always something new to see Brought my 2ds in for a repair and Levi was quick to repair it and show me how I can fix the problem if it comes up again. Great place.

The owner and staff are all passionate and knowledgeable about everything they sell, and even then, they still make sure to give you the most reasonable prices possible. Retro games, modern games, physical media, trading cards, and more. You cannot go wrong with stopping here. To top it all off, the partnered company, GearUp Electronics, are extremely talented in repairing most electronics you may have. 11/10 stars from this happy customer.

Fantastic experience: Decided to browse while getting repairs done at Gear Up (in the same building but run by a separate guy) and they have an INSANE amount of classic and hard-to-find games and consoles! They also have plenty of newer selections as well, and they even let me swap out a game for another version when the first one I bought was not compatible with my console. Will definitely check back from time to time.

Fantastic experience: They have a very large stock of retro to current games with various different displays. The staff was very welcoming and worked hard to make everyone felt helped. Each of them felt like they had a good history with gaming. I bought Atari controllers, and they had a front-end Atari system pre-setup for customers to play to vibe, which helped with testing out controllers. Got some really rare Mega Man games there as well. Worth the drive from a city over!

Fantastic experience: Levi was absolutely amazing, great customer service all around and I sometimes come in just to talk and look for a game for my old ds collection. He ended up fixing my GBASP right up super fast and efficiently, works brand new and I couldn't have been happier to hear the emerald and boot up sounds.

These are people who know the places you've been and could go, but i'm here to tell you: That's just one reason this will be your new mainstay and you won't have to run the gas down any further. I watched someone take care of 5 customers back to back with questions from homebrewing, laser fix, trade ins, and more. All of them left not only happy, but they made sure they felt like a million bucks and better than when they walked in the door. These are good people. They care about YOU. Not the credit, no dancing around an inquiry, a problem, or what you got. A moment to give and even teach sometimes too. I wish them nothing but the best, and thank them for what they've given already.

Fantastic experience: I travel all over the entire U.S. for work, so I stop by a great number of game stores. And in terms of odds and ends, the store has more stuff than I've seen in most states. And by far some of the most friendly people in the store I've ever seen. So good, when I came back the next week to do more work in the area, I had to stop by!

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend this place enough! Their prices are excellent and often compete with or beat online prices. I recently purchased an xbox one and found it had an issue with reading discs a few days later. When I took it back for an exchange, they offered to exchange it for an xbox one s due to the trouble I had went through! Couldn’t be happier! I was helped by Levi who was kind and very knowledgeable. This was at the end of a busy day and they still took the time to talk with me and answer any questions I had. Consider me a loyal customer after this experience!

Fantastic experience: This is what we in the gaming community call a “hidden gem.” This is my local and for good reason. I’ve never seen a store with a place to fix your various electronics, a place to buy a plethora of video games, from switch games, PS5, Xbox 360 to Sega Saturn/Dreamcast, and a place to build community/play tournaments. The prices here are also EXTREMELY reasonable. On top of that they have MULTIPLE comfy game set ups for any casual or hardcore gamer to literally “kickback” and play. Look, YOU ARE DOING YOURSELF A DISSERVICE BY NOT CHECKING THIS PLACE OUT IF YOU’RE a gamer. Better than Disneyland. What a home run, no more like a Grand Slam.

Fantastic experience: I love this little shop. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a large selection of used games and console accessories with a few consoles as well. I've gone in a few times for replacement batteries for my handheld consoles and they had them in stocks. I've also gotten chargers, a few games, and a controller. Everything works as it should. Prices are reasonable. The store is clean and organized. My kids and I love to stop in regularly. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing especially if you’re looking for games on older consoles, like original Xbox, Xbox one, PlayStation 1, 2, 3, 4, and even Wii games! I was told from a GameStop worker from the gateway mall to check them out since I was looking for Castlevania games. I ended up leaving with Castlevania: Lords of Shadows, LittleBigPlanet, and LittleBigPlant2 for ps3. 3 PlayStation 3 games for under $30? Hell yeah! I will come back again next time I’m up here, I’m barely up in Lincoln since I live an hour and a half away.

I bought a halo edition series x from them for 600 plus the halo controller included.. when I was looking for them everywhere online they were either sold out or wanted 1000+for the halo edition. I specifically wanted it for the storage capacity! I was super blessed and lucky to find it from these guys for so cheap and if I ever have any issues they always answer my questions and solve my problems with the most sensible solution readily available at that time for the best bang for my buck if any bucks are transferred that is!! Hope to see these guys around for years to come as this is a very positive impactful place on our community.. very good hobbie if you ask me!

Fantastic experience: Where do I start? How to I put this place into words? It’s perfect. Heaven is real and it’s THIS store. A vast wonderland of video games new and old, common and rare. Game systems, collector’s editions, cords and controllers for whatever you need. All at stellar prices. It’s been well worth the drive from Omaha. I’ve gotten games I wanted for awhile now, some childhood gems, and I cannot thank the people who work here enough for notifying me when my biggest hunt of all showed up and then proceeded to work out a deal. They are incredibly kind, down to earth people who are passionate about all things gaming. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: i understand if you are a LCS and selling at a certain price due to the prices given by distro, but clearing entire shelves so no one else can get any just to flip for high market is scummy. do better. especially when people like you just sell on the side.

Negative experience: I was so lucky to hit a restock with my son and we were second in line. My little guy was so excited to open some packs today. Turns out the owner of this card shop cleared the entire shelf. My son started crying in the car and I promised him that we would get some for him this weekend. Absolutely disgusting behavior from a grown man

Negative experience: No wonder they’re always stocked up on Pokemon, uses his family to clear out shelves before people waiting in line can buy anything

Negative experience: Store owner was very rude to me when trying to purchase some sealed product from his store & is very firm on his price which is way over market. And then I also had seen him in person at Walmart with his nephew probably in first grade, who held his spot in line for a Pokemon restock while he walked off to wait for the vendor. Leaving a child alone is actually crazy for some Pokemon cards you’re a horrible person.

Fantastic experience: Stopped by Kick Back Gaming around 6 PM and the place was packed—which is always a good sign. I picked up a used NES Classic and Super NES Classic, both priced really well and in great condition. They’ve got a huge selection of vintage consoles, games, and parts. Despite being busy, the staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely worth checking out if you're into retro gaming.

Fantastic experience: This shop had a lot of older games for many gaming platforms: NES, SNES, Sega, all the PlayStations, Atari, all the XBoxes, and more. Pricing on some things was a little high but the selection was great. I will make the trip to go back if I want something from my younger years.

Fantastic experience: Great store here! They have a solid variety from consoles to games and everyone that works there is friendly - you walk in and they treat you like an old friend. Super helpful! I brought back in some GB games I bought that weren't working and they were real quick to solving the issue. Their return policies are also very forgiving - they know the old tech from older gen games can be less than reliable sometimes. They are yet another local business I'll be returning to over and over again.

Fantastic experience: Best place in Nebraska to look for video games! The selection is always changing with reasonable pricing. Prices for games are always visible making it so you dont have to ask for someone to grab something for you just to look at a price. The owner and his employees have been very nice, welcoming, and upfront about everything. From other stores, I've seen price gouging, lying, dirtiest, unhelpfulness, and rudeness. I have never once dealt with any of those toxic traits at Kickback Gaming. I've visited a lot of game stores around the US, and Kickback Gaming is in my top 5! If you haven't already, check them out!

Absolutely refreshing experience, and I definitely plan on buying more games there in the future. Also, their resurfacing prices are honestly the best in town.

Every single classic systems/games to the newest with everything also being reasonably priced. All employees and the owner are HIGHLY knowledgeable with anything you need help with. Negative experience: The owner of Kick Back gaming is a scammer. I would avoid this business at all costs. He bought over $7,500 worth of games from us and claimed many games were missing. The day he got them he messaged me and was very polite at first. He said there were some issues with some games. There were 10 n64 games missing and 18 other Nintendo 64 games that he was not happy with the condition. So I said no problem, let's send them back. About an hour or 2 later, he said "just refund me $700 to cover the missing and "damaged games". I added up the value of the missing games and damaged games and it was around $700. So I asked if the refund included him keeping everything including the games in question and he said yes. So he wanted a full retail refund on the games he was not happy with. Not the % that he paid but a FULL RETAIL refund. I said no. So he said send labels and that he would open the return thru PayPal. I was fine with that. If you are not aware, when a return is filed but not a claim, there is no option to accept a return. I called PayPal and they told me to tell him to just put the tracking number in the messages between us. In the messages, I said I would accept a full return and issue a refund once I get the games back. The next morning, I asked him how many labels he needed and he said they all fit in one box. I said there's no way 320 games are going to fit in one box. Then he said "oh the box was ripped open and that's why there's missing and damaged games". I was like, why did you not tell me this yesterday??? So to me that is pretty scummy. He wanted a full retail refund on the games with bad labels and wanted to keep them and I said hell no. So he sent a picture showing ALL games in one box. I TOLD him the box would not survive the trip. He said he would add padding. The first picture shows the box CRAMMED. You can see how bad of condition the box was in when it was packed. Again, I told him that box would not survive the trip. He kept telling me to accept the return and I told him I can't because there is not an option. He then contacted PayPal, LIED to them and told them that I refused to accept a return so he escalated it to a claim just out of pure spite. I got the box back today and there was almost no padding for 330 games. Majority of the games are damaged and broken cases due to the packing job. So, you have all been warned. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
