Negative experience: Got accused of stealing. Walked in with a friend to help buy his little brother a gift. Was greeted by a different worker with a beard and he was chill. We grabbed a pack of Pokémon cards and went to the front of the store to look for a marvel action figure. Short skinny guy with ear piercings whispers very loudly, saying we are gonna try and steal, you can tell by looking at them (not being racist, the working and both me and my friends are white). We go and buy our items from the other employee and leave. Not to mention the guy accusing us walked in at the same time as us, he came out of his car coughing and he smelt of weed even in the store. Definitely bad staff if they are allowing high workers accusing people of stealing.

Negative experience: Manager was being racist towards me during a transaction. Sold me a defective product and was treating her white customers with more respect than myself. Didn’t even try to comply with customer service extremely and overly racist all together. Don’t shop here if you don’t want to be discriminated against

Negative experience: Very rude staff! Man working on 4/21 at 1:58pm was extremely rude. He didn’t greet us coming in, didn’t interact with us at all while we were looking for games, and didn’t say anything when we left. He didn’t even look up from what he was doing behind the counter. Put our stuff back and left. Plenty of other stores in Harbison! Won’t patronize this location again!

Negative experience: Man this store is bad. Got to the store at 6:30 to trade a switch for an oled. The employee was struggling to complete an exchange with the customer in front of us. He called his boss 3 times and ended up giving away an Xbox controller and telling the customer to make sure he came back tomorrow to pay for it. I just wish the employee had the curtesy to give us a heads up that they don't do trades an hour before closing because I obviously walked in with a trade and we were the only other customers in the store. But yeah the wildest part was the employee giving away a controller and saying to come back tomorrow to pay for it.

Fantastic experience: As soon as I walked in I was greeted, and asked if I needed any assistance. I am well versed on my Gamestops, but the gesture is still appreciated. Had two of my daughters with me, and they were perusing the clothing, all of which was neatly folded and organized, while I was looking around. I told the young lady at the counter that I was leaving with a PS Portal, and when we went to check out, she already had it waiting on me. Highly recommend this location.

Fantastic experience: Israel and Weston were both great today! We came up from Augusta with a couple trade-ins looking for an Xbox Series X, the POS system was being problematic, but they got it figured out and were super nice the whole time! I would give them 5 stars each if I could! They really looked out for us and worked hard to help us out and we could not be happier we chose to come to the Columbiana Station GameStop. It definitely pays to be a GameStop Pro member!

Negative experience: The manager Ron cannot count money.. I payed him 510$ for a PS5 bundle and he counted it and put all the money in his register.. then 5 minutes later he is saying I only gave him 410$ after he said it was right and after he mixed all the cash in his register with other cash. So I ended up having to pay 610$ for something that cost 500$ after standing there for 30 minutes watching him count his drawer. If you manage a retail store you should probably know how to count money correctly. Terrible experience I will never go back to GameStop now.

Negative experience: Unknowledgeable and unfriendly staff. Go to your local game shop. Edit: Oh come on guys gross. The vent grate is disgusting. This is going back. Edit 2: Different staff at the store the following day were far nicer and helpful, I wish I caught their name tags.

Negative experience: Do not bother to stop by on a Sunday. Their hours say they are open; however, we have stopped by multiple times and they are closed (despite the open sign being lit). Edited : An employee showed up to open the store 30 minutes after they were supposed to open. Then, the system wouldn't boot up. It finally started working, but there was 1 employee to try and manage a store full of customers at that point. Needless to say, the employee did not appear to be happy working there.

Negative experience: Extremely rude "manager" completely ignored me when I walked in and was on the phone with another "manager", complaining about how he has to watch this store blah blah. Didn't say one word to me, waited for about 5 minutes while he was on the phone. I had a question but I gave up since the phone call was more important. Reason why best buy will always be better.

Negative experience: Had a sign on the door that said “be back in two hours due to short staff” i'm not mad at that but the fact that it was 4 hours later then the sign said they’d return just shows the how much they care. i will be returning to the broad river location they were very professional and understanding.

Negative experience: I've only recently developed an issue here. For one I do understand they are short staffed and that can't be helped understandable. However I find it odd that I have come into this store twice to browse, find a game on the shelf ho to buy and the first time guy said they didn't have it and must had been placed on shelf by accident. I'm thinking ok mistakes happen bummer buy no big deal. Came back the very next day different guy working say game on shelf again and then the game was in stock again. Thought that was odd but thought ok other guy just didn't see it. Fast forward come in again do same thing with different game same guy now says it not in stock. Guy quickly browses through drawers and says yeah no we don't have it. I explained my first experience with him then browsed a little better and said again he couldn't find it even tho he said in his system it read he had 2 in stock. Idk what they got goin on in there but seems like guy doesn't want to work just want to sit on his phone at the counter.

Negative experience: This place is freaking ridiculous they have a sign on the door saying be back in 45 mins (been waiting 45mins already).. As 2 employees are walking around inside the store as 6-8 customers is waiting outside (3 more customers came waited a few minutes and left)... Customers are leaving because of this poor management.. So far as we waited at least a dozen customers left..

Negative experience: This gamestop needs to be shut down due to the rude employees that works they have been rude and nasty to me every time I've tried stepping in the doorway, I like to go shopping in harbison I have bad legs one you did not tell a customer you can't use your personal item to keep you standing to look at stuff in the store that is considered a hate crime towards customers, if something is not done about this store attacking customers then GameStop in harbison does not need to exist shut the GameStop down.

Negative experience: I ordered something 2 days ago online for pickup at this location in Harbison Blvd. After a glitch in their system my order was canceled and said to be refunded. I still want the item but they will not honor the price I paid for it. The new price is $7 more than what I originally paid for it. No customer service available and the manager can't do anything about it. Sad that I've been such a big supporter of this company.

Negative experience: Incredible, I call multiple times at 10:30 am no answer so I call another GameStop in Columbia and ask if I can still preorder and they said yes you can pay 5 dollars and pay the the rest later at midnight when you pick up. So cool I drive to my local GameStop to see an empty store and the only guy working smoking outside which explains why he never answers the phone. I go in to be told sorry man the preorder window is closed. I said I just called the other location and they said it’s still open. He tells me to come back at midnight and that they will have copies available 100%. No problem said thank you and came back at 11:30 stood in line only to see only six people came between then and opening. So just the seven of us there and they open the doors to then tell me sorry we are only doing order pick up right now. I said ok the guy told me to come back at midnight. No wonder this place is going to go under and 20 year customer will never shop here again because you have the most ignorant people running this place. Corporate definitely needs to take a deep dive in this place the whole thing seemed sketchy. Really you can’t sell me one copy when 7 people showed up on launch night? Cause I just drove all the way to Lexington and they said that every GameStop should be selling non preorders on a launch night.

Negative experience: I waited in line for 30 minutes to sell 4 games and purchase. I was told by the associate that I would have to wait for the rest of the people behind me in line so they could pickup their PlayStation 5. Unacceptable I have been a customer forever but not anymore. The associate didn’t even apologize.

Negative experience: Employees at this store scalp hot products, do not shop here. I went to this GameStop yesterday and asked when they would be restocking celebrations items and the woman behind the counter read that today's shipment would include Ultra Premium Celebrations, I went there first in the store and it was the one thing they did not have, despite literally being told it's in the shipment. The item resales for about $400 on Ebay, meaning that the retailer who should be providing this product to people who want to avoid scalpers, are scalping it themselves. If you want anything video game related Best Buy is down the street & much more friendlier & won't hide product in the back.

Bryan was manager when I started shopping here, now Ethan is, and I enjoy the environment they have created !! Negative experience: My kids had an Xbox that quit on them. While we wait for the Series X to actually be somewhat available, I went in here asking if they had any kind of Xbox in stock: 360, One, Series X (long shot lol). The guy working went in the back then came out and said they didn't have anything. Then my wife who was heading to Michael's stopped in the same store not 5 minutes later cause she didn't know I was just there. She asked the same question and guess what?! The loser working pulls an Xbox One S out of the back. I don't know why the dummy working didn't sell it to me 5 minutes earlier but I guess that's part of the reason Game Stop is going out of business!

Negative experience: My husband placed a preorder back in June for a product that was only available via the website for preorder. He was told it would be released on 09/01. Turns out it was released 08/27. Per Gamestop policy, he should have received a phone call regarding the availability of his preorder. He didn't. This isn't the first time no one at Gamestop has contacted him for his preorder pickup either. An employee has previously tried to STEAL a preorder - they know they only have 48 hour holds on preorders. Fortunately, he received that preorder and the employee was let go. This one however... the store is blaming their corporate office saying the order was never received. Customer service is blaming the store, saying they never placed the preorder. Well, where the hell did his money go? Where is his preorder? Why is this such a disorganized mess? At this point, we won't be doing any business with Gamestop in the future. Boy, it would be GREAT if ANYONE could tell us where his preorder is.

Fantastic experience: It's been a while since I was last at this store and a few things have changed. There's a lot more collectibles now, which I like. The two guys there were very helpful with my choosing a new game system. The prices for the games and collectible I bought were very reasonable. I'll definitely be back.
