Positive experience: Out of what I needed. The place smelled really bad for some reason. I left quickly.
Negative experience: This place will not awnser the phone. Ive waited 10 minutes in between each call. Its 3 on a Monday and the weather is terrible. How busy could you actually be.
Negative experience: This manager is terrible. They had their "Trade anything day" yesterday and my daughter was so excited to bring something up and get the $5 credit HOWEVER the arrogant manger told everyone that he's only accepting can goods for the homeless. He was using the plight and pain that unhoused people endure as a way to get out of the extra work he would have by properly participating in a company wide event. It was disgusting.
Negative experience: Super disappointed in their return policy. I purchased a pre-owned game for my child and when I gave it to my child, the game did not work. It was past the seven day window to return the game because I purchased it before hand to later give to my child as a gift. When I called the store to explain what happened, they really didn’t care and told me nothing could be done. I asked the store manager if they tested the games before selling them since they’re preowned and they told me no. I think it’s highly unfair to sell games to people, knowing that there is a chance that they may not not work. My child was super disappointed that the game that they wanted did not work and now I’m stuck with a broken game because GameStop can’t do anything for me and sold me a broken game. GameStop needs to have a better return policy or at the bare minimum test The games before they are sold so people don’t waste their money

Negative experience: Drove 45 minutes on Sunday for an item they had listed in stock, had no stock. Tried to purchase a game membership which I regularly buy at other locations and the employee was unable to find it on the computer. I requested that they update their stock regarding the item I was looking for so people don't waste their time, as I left the employee had their face stuck in their phone and the item still said in stock in the store. Really disappointing interaction

Negative experience: Went in today at 7:30. Blonde haired man sitting in the fetal position on the floor. Got up and acted like me and my family were an inconvenience. When my wife asked if she could bother him for a question, he rudely said I guess as he took his ear buds out, then proceeded to talk over her and talk to her like she was an idiot. I had to hold my tongue because my child was present.
Fantastic experience: The customer service rep Jimmy was awesome. I sent my 7 year old in to do his own shopping. Per my son he was nice. I came him & finished the purchase.
Fantastic experience: Visited the store today and sold some unwanted games. The staff was very helpful and personable. Even helped with finding games I wanted that they didn’t have in stock.
Negative experience: Ryan, the so called “manager” at this location is terrible. He’s rude, condescending, not helpful and quite frankly needs a new job that doesn’t deal with customers….. He might be great at PLAYING video games (hence no people skills) but he’s terrible at selling them.
Negative experience: Bought a warranty for a controller. They said they would replace it with a new one if broke went into exchange it a few months later now they said they replaced them with a refurbished one because they changed their policy I left the controller on the counter went to Walmart and bought a new controller I will never go to GameStop again.

Negative experience: They ordered me a mouse pad then it got canceled, but having trouble getting my money back two weeks later when I had to pay for in-store the worst customer service ever lol took my money for 2 weeks for a item they had me order and still havnt got the item or my money goofy go to Best Buy game stop horrible had me wait on the phone with customer for for 2 hours just not to help lol worst experience ever
Fantastic experience: Game stop is generally awesome, staff is always great with help and explaining different things. Good sales to be had, join the GS club and get insurance if you have kids and electronics. One bummer, we pre-paid for a hot game being released. Got the call that it was in. 2 days later showed up to get it, and it was gone, checked online and they were selling for triple sticker price. Not surprised ours disappeared. They did refund us.

Fantastic experience: Nice little GameStop tucked away in Shelby Twp. Staff is very kind and friendly- James was awesome and very helpful to make sure we found what we needed at the store. They are not the biggest GameStop but have a decent selection of collectibles and the store is organized and easy to navigate. Will definitely stop by when in the area again- you can trust the service here.

Difficult to find a good parking spot due to the heavy amount of traffic from other business. (Starbucks) so be careful, lot of idiots driving trying to get there coffee fix.

Negative experience: Careful if traveling more than a few minutes to this store. They apparently close when its lunch time (4:45pm) you may want to call ahead of time to make sure they're open during the posted business hours. Poor choice by management to close the store during Friday rush hour. The store was also low on stock on new games. I wouldn't be surprised to learn its closing after my visit. There were also items that are on sale in the flyer, that weren't marked down on the actual product, I avoided the hassle all together on that item. Overall a complete let down today, hopefully it isn't a trend.
Negative experience: It takes me a 1/2 hour to drive there. I arrived at 5:30 to see that there is a note in the door that said lunch break be back at 6:15. I’m not waiting 45 for you to eat lunch. I understand they need a break but this was ridiculous. Thanks for wasting my time

Positive experience: I am not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to gaming or anime; however, this Gamestop comes in handy when I am looking for a gift for those people that I do know that are passionate about gaming and anime. The thing I appreciate most about this Gamestop is the employees are masters of their fields. They always are up to date with what is happening in the gaming industry. Another thing that is greatly appreciated here is each employee has his or her own specialized genre. For example, with my most recent visit, I was looking for a gift that had to do with either Pokémon or Dungeons & Dragons. Luckily for me, one of the three employees that was there that day was the resident Pokémon expert at this Gamestop. I was more prone to choose from one of the Pokémon products because they have a much better selection between the two game genres, and the employee's help of explaining the products made it much easier to make my decision. This Gamestop always holds a good sense of customer service. My only issue with Gamestop is the steep prices that are set for their products.

Negative experience: Went to pick up a game that was listed online just to find out they shipped the last copy to a different store that morning. Kind of annoying since it was still listed as there. Staff is nice and do a great job, but I find that idea of shopping games out when they’re listed as “for sale” there is kind of a hassle. Yeah you can argue I should’ve reserved it but I can also argue the inventory should’ve been updated immediately. It’s still even listed as there as of the posting of this post

Positive experience: The workers are good here but like all GameStop’s you get next to nothing for your used games to trade in but you see the same used game for 4x the amount on the wall. You can buy a new game for $5 more than what the same used game goes for. When I have bought new games there, 90% of the time the game is open already and not sealed because they say it was a display model.

Negative experience: I went in to purchase a game controller and was surprised to see they over marked refurbished controllers at $40 a piece. I get home and I'm ready to play GTAv online but my controller that I've just bought was garbage. The triangle button didn't work nor did the L2 or the R2 buttons. I take it into another game stop closer to home and switch it out to find out Two days later it was garbage as well. So now I'm out of $40 because I'm nowhere close to game stop 'Algonac, Michigan' Just go online you can get three for $38. They're wired but they WORK!
