Fantastic experience: The GameStop located in West Town Mall is my favorite! Megan, I think is her name, is very courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful! She is great about letting us know when new products are going to be on pre-orders. She has even called other stores if she thinks they may have something they don't. Isaiah is also great. I think he may be the store manager and Megan, the assistant. I've seen Isaiah constantly organizing the store after “mall kids” move things. Both managers make us feel like family and we appreciate their kindness and hard work!

Negative experience: Me and my kids went to GameStop today looking for some Wii games I'm not sure if it's because my kids are Hispanic or if it's just the way that we looked but I did not appreciate the way that the lady came out of the back and followed us around the store like we were thieves watching our every move.

Negative experience: Don't waste your time going to the west town mall location. I tried to purchase a Switch 2 and some games. This guy did not want to be bothered and when I finally got his attention he tells me to just call the store, meanwhile the the is ringing. I told him I would be back before I left to check again. We'll after several hours I recheck. This time I talked to a friendly lady and she told me yes but give her a little longer, the shipment was not all checked in. Then the guy started yelling at her for telling me that. Very unprofessional. I returned and waited for the lady, well she was working on something else and told the guy that "#6 was ready and she is here for it. That guy standing right in front of me refused to turn around to address me. After 15 minutes the lady returned, noticed I was still there. She stopped what she was doing, apologized, then rang me up. Not once did he acknowledge me. As I was finishing another customer went up to him and asked if there was any Switch2, he actually told him again you need to call the store and possibly NO he didn't think so. WOW! I would go to any other store but this one. Once again don't waste your time. If I could leave a no star I would. I will be posting on yelp also

Negative experience: If you’re thinking about using them for PSA submissions, just don’t and go directly through PSA. I know it’s a no brainer, but for peace of mind just avoid GameStop. Cards were listed as ready for pickup, apparently not because they need to process out through a manager, which for some reason isn’t always there, so now you’re on their time. Also, what’s to say that once the cards leave your hands and they take them to the back to “lock in a safe,” that they’re not just swapping them out, either before they leave or after they arrive? Again, just avoid completely. Signed, a guy waiting with about 1k in card value who can’t get to them

Fantastic experience: So I got an incredible deal during black Friday for a PSVR2 at $350. I had it literally 8 days and it died on me. Tonight I went into the GameStop at West Towne here, and I told Monika I had a pending return in the system. Long story short, their POS didn't like the difference in price between the sale and the MSRP of $600, but Monika busted her ass to make sure I was able to walk out of there with a brand new headset, and a two year warranty. I think I was there close to thirty minutes, and in that time she called at least two people to find out what was going on. GameStop gets a bad rap as a company, but the people make the difference. I would shop here all the time if it wasn't in the mall, but if you don't have social anxiety like I do, I highly recommend this location :D

Negative experience: This store might be worse than the DMV. Went to go pick up a game, took 45 minutes to to get to the cashier (there was only one customer in front of me), and after asking for the game the cashier told me i couldnt have it, because it was in boxes right beside the register. It isnt even the employees fault likely. They literally are so understaffed that it is impossible to buy a game there. Never again. Cancelling pro tomorrow

Negative experience: I came into gamestop today looking for OnePiece funkos to finish my collection. Your associate told me he will not put the chase variations on the salesfloor and keeps them hidden in the back. There also was so many boxes blocking any of the product I could not even shop around. The fact that your associate today admitted to hiding the sought after chases instead of giving shoppers the chance is absurd to me. I am a pro member and will never return to this location.

Negative experience: Absolutely will not answer the phone, it doesn’t matter when I call or how many times, nor what day. I’ve been in that store plenty and never seen them busy, I mean it’s GameStop, of course they aren’t busy. I just want to ask a simple question so I know if the 30 minute drive to the store is going to be a waste of gas or not. I’ve never been so frustrated with a business.

Negative experience: This place is so useless, I ordered a game on June 27th, I paid for same day shipping, here it's is the 29th now and my order is still on waiting for pickup, and everytime I try to call I keep getting a machine saying "sorry this store is experiencing technical difficulties please call later" and then hangs up

Positive experience: 3-4 employees working during Christmas season in a store packed with customers, and they have exactly one register open, despite there being 3 registers sitting at the counter? Management needs a little boost at this location. Otherwise, it's a GameStop. Lots of good games at reasonable prices. Expect to wait in line awhile. Took me 15 minutes to check out once I made it to second in line, because management allowed a customer to keep walking back and forth through the store, adding to his order. It was insane, given the long line behind me.

Negative experience: I am writing this review so that others will know of the unfair business practices at GameStop. I went to this location on Black Friday and bought some pre-owned switch games. When I get home I noticed the cashier sold me additional warranties for my games without asking me. I called the store and spoke with Isaiah the manger and explained what happened. He assured me I could come in anytime to get my money back. When I go back to the store to get my refund they refused to give it to me as Isaiah was off that day and the guy at the register was new. He told me to come back tomorrow when Isaiah was working. I explained I live an hour away and came back just for this. All they would do is give me the customer service number.

Negative experience: Got a warranty on my controller, they said they couldn’t find my info in the computer when I asked to get a new one. So now I wasted 90 dollars on a warranty and a controller, both of which do not work. Very disappointing. I would not recommend wasting your money at this place, take ur business to cm games. They’re way better.

Fantastic experience: This location is located inside of the mall here in West Knoxville. It's pretty big and they have a great selection as well as great prices! I was able to get a hot pink Xbox controller for less than $40!!! And the staff is VERY knowledgeable which is very much appreciated!!

Negative experience: Pre-ordered a flash pop. They never called. Concerned, we called several times a day to figure out if they came in yet. No answer. Frustrated, we went there, and discovered they set it out for display. They get pre-orders, don't call, don't answer their phones, and put all preorders on display. Thank God we went down or it would be gone. It was the last one!

Fantastic experience: Our first visit to this location, but it was great. The selection of games was what you would expect for a store if this size. It would have been nice if they had had more pre-owned inventory. The staff made this place great though. They were extremely helpful and gave some great recommendations for some games we may like. Their recommendations ended up being spot on. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Positive experience: I love going to places that have video games for sale, but one thing is I've never really liked the GameStop because they always overprice every game that you're looking for One time I went to go buy a brand new game, but ended up already being opened even though I bought it brand new. One time I also tried to sell my Xbox One x to them but they only offered $75 even though that Xbox brand new would have been $500 GameStop has never been my favorite but it's nice to go check out and see a new games or consoles there

Negative experience: I don’t know where to start.... A couple of months ago. Well for one they paid a thief cash for my phone that had been stolen that day! For two when I asked the worker if a man (gave the description of the thief who took it from me) had come in today or if they had any iPhone XR brought in or are for sale. The worker was VERY rude and could have changed his tone especially with a customer. But he says we can’t release that information you need a police report. So I told him I was waiting to file one when I had an actual phone to call on. So I said the man I was like have you atleast seen a guy that looks like this and I pulled a picture up? And the man literally looks at the other coworker with big eyes and lies straight to my face saying no one has come looking like that and we can’t tell you anything. He chuckled and the. Told me I need to leave and come back with a warrant or the police. Here I am not leaving court because the detective found the serial number to my phone at the exact GAME STOP on the EXACT day and I nice went into the business just trying to find leads. In a couple of days will be the LAST time I EVER in my life go in that store after being treated and talked to the way I was and knowing they buy stolen electronics every single day. I found out talking with detective about the stolen merchandise that my phone being stolen is one of many stolen electronics Game Stop has.

Negative experience: I spend 60 dollars on a game. The game is absolutely horrible. They won't allow an in store credit. They want me to trade it in for 21 dollars. I just bought it less than seven days ago. Your company needs to rethink that whole policy.
