Negative experience: I visited this location last week and the level of sales pressure was extremely uncomfortable. Every customer in front of me was repeatedly pushed to join the rewards program, even after they clearly said no multiple times. Lines like “Are you sure?” and “So you don’t want to save money?” came across as guilt-tripping rather than normal customer service. When it was my turn to check out, the male employee did the same rewards pitch at least 5 times after I had already declined. He couldn’t read the room at all — no social awareness, no respect for a clear “no,” just persistent pressure like a timeshare pitch. The interaction was aggressive to the point that I was genuinely uncomfortable. If my card hadn’t already been in the reader, I would have walked out. I have no interest in returning to this location.

Negative experience: Comic Book Guy working the register was borderline aggressive that I didn't want to be part of the rewards program. He seemed deeply offended I wouldn't sign up and it was kind of awkward. Had we not been there shopping with my son and his birthday money I'd definitely have not bought anything.

Negative experience: Was cheated when purchased a game card from this store ..would tell anyone never purchase them from this place . Lost my money ..the manager even said that's how they do the gift cards son was very disappointed that there was no funds on it and they tell me to contact the vendor while they took my money . Negative experience: Staff is terrible, had 2 people working (if you call it that) I was there for 3 items. Stood in line for a good 15 minutes while cashier was having a conversation with a customer who was selling the store gaming cards. More conversing than buying. Other employee walked back and forth behind register and backroom. 2 other customers behind me. Didn’t offer to help check people out. Looked right at us. So I put items back and left. I guess store was more interested in spending $ than selling anything. Wasn’t only one to leave either

Negative experience: Overpriced Gamestop as a business is a joke 15 day policy ( only if product isnt opened) vs a place like Walmart (or similar monopolized business )policy can be returned if youre not happy with the product.... Fantastic experience: Great service and amazing selection, especially of older or collector items. The staff was super cool and friendly and knew their stuff. The only thing that was tough was the lack of data signal in the store on my carrier, though the guys there said that it's been bad since the Price Chopper next door had antennae set up in the parking lot.

Negative experience: Came here on my birthday weekend with my brother, to look at the retro games, they had basically the same games on the shelves from the week before on my past visit,,,which is ok..., I took my time to choose a game, then when the sale guy there went to his drawers to fish the game out, my brother saw more games in the drawer that weren't out on the shelves we asked, how come those games are "hidden" and he replied "Your not supposed to look in there " and quickly closed the drawer, I felt so outta place, we were speechless...so rude, I've spend so much money there multiple times to be treated like that....I haven't gone back since this took place in November, I'm reluctant on going back there just cause i dont want to do any businesswith that guy there....I've been getting all my games now from ebay or Vintage Stock.

Negative experience: This is for an online purchase for my son’s birthday. The customer service is terrible! I purchased an Xbox one S with 500gb storage only to find out it had 365gb. I have spent over 4 hours on the phone trying to get a solution. I was given the run around from the two reps and two supervisors I spoke with. They stated the rest of the gbs are from the standard operating system, lol. I have had many Xbox’s with 500gb been able to download games with storage left. I have only been able to put 2 games on the Xbox. Then they admitted they sold me an Xbox with a hard ware issue and it does not fall on them and I have to take it up with Microsoft because they are the ones who sell them to GameStop. I was shocked to say the least the false advertisement is real! Beware that when you think you are paying for a 500gb, 1tb, 2tb if very well could not be that amount of storage you are paying for! Then they tell you it’s not their fault and there’s nothing they can do even though their website says you’re purchasing a 500gb Xbox! BEWARE!

Fantastic experience: So my name is Kalah. We came in today, Feb 19th, 2023 around 10 am. We were coming through to sell my PS4 and phone to them because we needed money in order to make it home. Rebeccah M. Is a freaking ANGEL. She helped us tremendously. She sold us a visa vanilla card and it wouldn't work, not until 3 to 5 business days, and she started crying and told us that she couldn't let that happen to us knowing our situation so she gave us $60 out of the kindness of her heart out of her own money... it warmed our hearts so much. This woman deserves a raise, and some sweet hugs. She is beyond an AMAZING employee, she went above and BEYOND Call of Duty. We will never forget her. Thank you Rebeccah, may God bless you 10 times fold for helping us in the name of Jesus.

Negative experience: This is simply to do with a rating of customer service/common curtesy. I visited this store a few days ago. And while waiting over a hour (not the problem) for them to update my console and test it for them to buy. I set my duffle bag on the ground by their front desk. I then came back today the first day they were open since it was after Christmas and Tali stated that it may have got thrown out. This wouldn’t be near as frustrating if the bag didn’t have my name embroidered on it and they didn’t take my drivers license and enter in all my info to trade in my system. The problem is that I guess they cannot put the two together and maybe give me a call since they had my license info and phone number or atleast hold it for two days to see if someone asked about it. Pretty much just shows a lack of concern or care for any bit of customer service. Very dissatisfied will never come back and would not recommend any to come here unless roanridge doesn’t have what you want.

Negative experience: Terrible store. I purchased a game about a week ago as a gift, as well as a controller. The store employee gave me a “new” game that was already opened. I never had the chance to give the gift, because of my work schedule and had to end up returning it. Due to their policy, they can only give return credit on games that are opened (how convenient). I would understand if I personally opened the game, but I have no game system, nor the time to play. Therefore, I was offered a return amount of $14 on a $40 game. Negative experience: this is the first game stop I’ve been to that I’ve had a bad experience. me and my husband went last night. There was one guy working who took about forty minutes to buy two controllers. we were completely ignored til he was done buying those items. when we asked him a question about ray tracing in a game he did not seem interested and responded “that’s a google question” and rolled his eyes. we asked him another question which again he said to just google it. He was not knowledgeable and had terrible customer service.

Negative experience: I have to say that I used to really love this store back when Ashley and Connor worked there. Not the new Connor (the new manager.) I was on first name basis with everyone and they knew me when I came in. Were always so nice and helpful. Engaged each person who came in in conversation. Were so attentive. Now, there’s only ever one person working behind the counter. There’s rarely any good games on the shelves. Their inventory doesn’t match the website so I’ve called ahead the last few times I’ve gone only to find out they didn’t have it in stock. (Might just be the website) The new hires don’t really seem to stay long nor do they seem to know much about the product they sell. They have the basic knowledge of games and consoles but I’ve tried to engage in conversation with the employees about specs on the PS5 or new games coming out. They don’t seem too interested in discussing things like that much. It’s gotten to the point that I just do all my preorders online and have it shipped to my house. When they do an early game release, it’s so unorganized. They’ll give you a number but wait until the last moment to have everyone line up in order. Depending on the game being released the store can be really packed or empty. On a night a big game is being released. It’s usually full. So when the line isn’t started by number until the last minute. There’s a lot of crowding and bumping into each other. This GameStop just isn’t what it used to be. I miss the old employees. I would also like to add that it’s rare I get ahold of someone nowadays on the phone at this location. I hope they can improve.

Negative experience: Went in today to get some packs of cards. Had 20 sleeved packs I wanted to buy, as most gamestops being a pro member allows you to buy more then only 5. I’m a collector not a scalper and buying 20 still left the shelves full. I had to put back all of the packs I wanted to buy and just take 5 from the front and have my brother do the same. Ended up with 9 white packs from brilliant stars due to the incompetence of the employee there not letting me buy more. Can almost bet the 10 packs I had to leave would’ve made up for these whites. Do not recommend this store. Very rude customer service.

Negative experience: After years of going to this store I had to change my review from 5 stars to one. If none was was an option that would be my choice. Over the years I have spent thousands of dollars in this store. I was treated so rudely yesterday that I will never set foot in there again and be contacting their regional manager tomorrow. Their manager was absolutely insulting and unprofessional on a level I have never encountered at any other buisness in my lifetime which has luckily been a long one.

Negative experience: Staff is super rude and condensing and the new manager is complete trash. What they say on the phone when they answer is not what happens when you come to the store. They don't care about regulars, seeing as they don't care to remember any of them. Used to come in because of friendly staff but that's not a thing anymore. I'd rather just go to amazon or literally anywhere else where I can get the stuff I need a lot cheaper, since the customer service is no longer a thing at this store.

Negative experience: Terrible employee. Went to Englewood location for game was out. Told me had 3 at board walk location. Drove up there. Guy there tells me he is filling in from liberty store. Don't know where any of the games are. Tells me to go to liberty they have it. As I'm talking to him and he is having a melt down about how store was so out of place. Looked fine. Another customer walked in asking for a power cord. Dude didn't even hesitate to explain to tell him no, but liberty has it. This store has nothing.. hahaha

Negative experience: The manager Taylor lied to my face when I went to pay off my PS5 preorder and told me that I will be required to spend another $40 when I come to pick up in order to receive my PS5. She said this was for all retail locations and I have been following all the news with this system since it was introduced. I called Gamestop on Boardwalk and spoke to the manager there who confirmed that she was doing exactly what I thought she was and trying to upsell me, but instead of doing things the right way she's attempting to hold my console hostage. The district manager is now involved.
