Experiencia negativa: I preordered Lorwyn Eclipsed collector booster boxes in November for MSRP, $323/box. I put $200 down ($100 for each box). When I tried to pick them up, this store tried to charge me $500 a piece. This is not even legal, but I didn't want to fight with the college student who had no idea what was going on. Definitely the last time I'll ever go to a gamestop.
Experiencia negativa: This review is specifically for the female associate with colored hair who refused to give me her name. Not only did she redeem my $15 coupon without applying it to my purchase, but she also claimed I was ineligible for any discounts—even though I have two active Pro accounts. I only realized the coupon had been redeemed because I saw the email; otherwise, I would not have known. I was unaware I even had two accounts, so I contacted customer service to correct the issue. The manager then implied that I had somehow fraudulently obtained the $15 coupon, even though it was issued by GameStop after I spent over $500 on Pokémon merchandise just a few weeks earlier—something I can easily verify with my bank statements. I will be disputing the charges for my Black Ops purchase unless I receive the discounts and coupons I am owed under GameStop’s own policies. It is unacceptable that I have to go to these lengths to resolve a simple transaction issue. I have all receipts. Please refund me my money or return it to the card used.

Experiencia fantástica: It was fun and quaint game stop in the mall I love the staff there friendly and they seem happy given there personality show through there professionalism. It was refreshing in a place I didn't expect. Be warned I don't know if ill be fixed there's a odd continuous ringing staff has mentioned they cant find whats causing it. God bless them I would of gone crazy.

Experiencia negativa: The product was good quality and I like it but one there was one thing that I didn’t like and felt that it was wrong. Today in Black Friday, I decide to go to the store and buy two PS5 controls colored white, but after 10 minutes I wanted to change the color so I decide to return them, but they told me that I couldn’t because I didn’t have a US ID, and that’s ridiculous because I’m a Mexican resident so I have a Mexican ID, that doesn’t make sense because if I’m a tourist how will I change then now, and why will they even need an ID to do an exchange. Overall the product was good but I feel like they shouldn’t be asking for a US ID for a simple exchange and that they don’t accept a Mexican ID , which at the end is an ID.

Experiencia fantástica: Whenever my girlfriend needs anything for her Xbox, this is the place I always go... have shopped around for items, but GameStop always has what we need, and the staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable of all the products in the store and that a major plus..
Experiencia negativa: Was going to buy $49 headphones and when the lady scanned them she tried to take off the sticker in front of me without me noticing and tried to charge me $69 and said “I don’t know what to tell you”. I’ll tell you that this experience was rude and unprofessional. I’ll let people know not to give service to GameStop.
Experiencia negativa: I got a saints row criminal custom pre owned for 12.99 but got charged 18.99 I ask the guy and he said it's pulling up 18.99 on his system but he seemed really chill so I didn't want to cause anything and it's not his fault but please fix this

Experiencia positiva: This location is convenient in the mall. They have a lot of great games towards the back of the store. The front left of the store that used to have the game demos is now empty with nothing in it. The front right of the store is now filled with novelty items like action figures and shelf items and no video games. I'm not sure if this location is going out of business or GameStop just isn't doing well but there's only about half the store full of video games. The stuff is very nice and friendly.
Experiencia negativa: Horrible customer service, could not get a straight answer and had to keep coming back to have the issue resolved. They made up reasons to brush us off and told us to just come back. Had to call a different location to get some clarification to the issue.

Experiencia negativa: Worst customer service in all the GameStops. Signs all over store announce 50%Clearance in Clearance items. The Employees don’t acknowledge customers and seem bothered to answer questions. When asked if discount applied to all clearance they said yea, but they do a bait and switch when you get to the checkout and don’t apply it to clearance games! When you speak to the unprofessional assistant manager Andrea to inform them of the issue and suggests that there should be a notice or sign stating that clearance EXCLUDES Games her response was “I don’t have to place such a sign out” so this tells you that this place is run under Very Poor Management because they place signs out stating one thing and switched it when you checkout. The price was not the issue it was the lack of unprofessional customer service skills and the principal of this store thinking it’s ok to do bait and switch to customers.

Experiencia negativa: They said midnight release for Pokémon scarlet and violet. It was 11:20 when I showed up. They refused my service, but it was not midnight yet. Continued to tell me it was based on new York time.... I am in texas why should I account for a different time zone... it should be midnight for every time zone. I had a pre-order payed and everything and only was 20 min after 11.... they said they sent out a memo which I did not receive as well!! Horrible customer service!!! And I have been coming here for years and the manager with long hair and glasses is always dissrepctful and condesceding and unhelpful. Not the game stop to go to.

Experiencia negativa: Bought a game for my son, everything was fine until I declined to partake in their rewards and disc protection program. The Customer service rep (supervisor it seemed) started texting on his phone looking down, and stopped speaking or looking up at me, even when he handed me my receipt. When I was about to leave he all of a sudden got real friendly again with the next person, even offered him the discounts that may be available to him. I went back and spoke to a different rep who helped to a apply the same discount while making excuses for the supervisor. Told him he did not have to, he know what he's doing. The main guy will be nice, as long as you get all these different plans and subscriptions, if not everything changes.

We went thru a lot of trouble and pops even got cancelled and they told us we wouldn't get any resolve or refund. I got a call yesterday and Alejandro told me he was going to help me get a refund AND a pop we've been waiting months on. I usually wait until employees seem less busy to ask my questions because I know what working in retail is like, so the rudeness was definitely one-sided. Other than that, the store itself usually has cool items that make for great game related gifts

Experiencia fantástica: Story time! I had bought the game "just dance" from this cozy location a month back. For those of you that don't know, Just Dance isn't a top tier game, it doesn't even scrape the surface of "trendy". But that didn't stop the staff from being genuine. The thing about this game is that it requires a special motion controller across all the current consoles, and for PS4 and Xbox one fans, that's a hefty $90 price tag. Despite the price, I was set on buying it. My fiance wanted the game so I had to get it. Upon being rung up, I proceeded to chit chat with the cashier (I wish I remembered her name) and mentioned how lame it was that I'm buying the control just for this game. That's when she suggested an alternative. A little known fact about this game is that you can download a free app to your phone and use that rather than a motion controller! If it wasn't for this great insight, I would not have saved $90. I played it again tonight and remembered how awesome this staff member was and wanted to thank her properly. What better way to do that than to share my story with you all who are checking out reviews on this place? I cant speak for everyone's experience, but for me, they were genuine, very insightful and showed they are knowlegdable about their products. If you have to choose between locations to grab some merch, I'd put my money ($90) on these guys!

Being treated like a valued customer has always been a plus for me so I deliberately chose this store when I didn't really live close by as THE place that I definitely wanted to work at. I hope that every one of you enjoy shopping here as much as I do because yes, I'm still a regular customer here.

Experiencia fantástica: My second favorite location in the city. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. They don't have a large clearance section, however. They have a great game selection. The manager I met was kind of rude and unfriendly, but I'm sure he gets the same questions repeatedly throughout the day. I prefer this location out of all of the mall locations.
Experiencia negativa: They don't match prices and you get jerked when trading in games. Amazon, Ebay, Walmart, and even BestBuy are better choices for buying video games. BestBuy and Walmart actually does match pricing with Amazon as long as the item is being sold directly from Amazon.

Experiencia positiva: I pre-ordered a game and they never called me. Twice now I have gone in asking about certain controllers, and they have pretended to know what they were talking about, and offered me what I did not want. For example, I wanted an SNES Classic controller, and they recommended an NES Classic controller. It was only after I reminded them that the NES doesn't have two buttons the SNES does that they took back the recommendation. Then, I asked about a wireless GameCube controller and they recommended a wired one. It's difficult to explain but I got the feeling that they were hoping I would take their word for it and but their recommendation that was clearly not what I was asking for. Finally, there was an instance in which I asked if I could trade-in a controller and they basically said no, but I ended up going later that day an a wonderful older woman helped me out. She had issues with the machine but worked really hard for me and solved it. If not for her, I would have given this store one star for trying to trick me about three times so far.

Experiencia fantástica: Awesome customer service. Long story short: they made a mistake when we purchsed a pre-owned game. We submitted online survey feedback using our receipt instructions and called in the next morning. The associates at this store knew exactly who we were when we went back in the next day and had our upgraded gold edition of the video game ready for us to exchange. I will be very inclined to return to this specific location because hands down they made my 15 yr old's birthday memorable. He is super pumped and I am super happy about the way they handled the situation. Great job!

Also, if someone has a question that requires more than a two word answer, you're going to get stuck in that line for a while. I don't mind the waiting at most stores but with the right space, it makes it uncomfortable.
Experiencia negativa: Terrible experience. We tried going there so they could help us with codes my cousin bought and they were no help. The ladies gave us attitude the whole time and we're extremely rude to us throughout our experience. If I could say -5 stars I would.
Experiencia positiva: Kind of one of the smaller gamestop locations, always busy, good selection of games though. Prices are fixed across all gamestops so nothing really changes there. Sometimes you can find it online cheaper. Try that first.
