Experiencia fantástica: Game Changerz remains as my favorite game store around. The staff is always so kind, helpful, and fun to talk to. Their selection is great, from easy to find games to more obscure ones- they even have older games straight from Japan which is always really cool to see. They offer disc resurfacing, console repair, just a whole bunch of really helpful things for game collectors. We've gotten great deals from their rewards system as well, which is a huge plus. We've bought old consoles from them and spare cords, which have all been great, including the Dreamcast we got (for a great price too!) If you're looking for a great local game store with great people to support, I highly recommend this one.

Experiencia fantástica: I loved this place! They had exactly what I was looking for. My grandson had a Playstation 4 that was flaking out. They had a look at it. They said that the internal hard drive was about to die. (A known issue with Playstation 4s) They had a replacement hard drive available for purchase. I bought a 1 terabyte replacement drive and they installed it for me while I was looking over other games to buy. I bought a few new games for my grandson, for the upcoming Christmas holiday, and paid for the hard drive as well. Everything all in one place. The vibe was COOL! The employees were cool as well. NICE place! I will definitely be back for more games as my grandson's Birthday is fast approaching, and he's a good kid. Please check this place out. It's worth it just to see the games that are available to buy.

Experiencia fantástica: I went into Game Changerz to get a laser replacement on my GameCube. They quoted me a 2 week wait to get the repair done. They did it in two days. I went back to pick it up and it wasn’t reading discs. They spent extra time to fix it and test it. I picked it up today and they showed me that it is reading discs. I’m beyond happy with both their customer service skills and their commitment to making sure that the customer is happy. I will definitely keep coming back to them for repairs and also their killer selection of games for all kinds of consoles. These guys are amazing and I love shopping with this store thanks guyd

I sent in a direct message through their website a week later and still have yet to receive a response. So, I called. Nobody answered. So, I repaired my Wii myself for only $30. Experiencia fantástica: I brought these folks my PS5 with a broken fan connector on the motherboard thinking the console was junk. Not only were they able to fix it for an extremely reasonable price, their service was prompt, communication was excellent and the staff that helped me were more than friendly. If you need a console repair you should definitely give them a shot!

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been going to this store for 6 years and this is my first repair experience with them. They are really good at selling games, however I am very unsatisfied with the refusal of fixing my hdmi port for my ps5 slim. I had it there for a week before someone texted me that they can’t fix it because it was “infested” so I take it apart when I get home and I was thinking I was gonna find a whole bunch of bugs in it, I was scared. I found 5 bugs.. not infested like they said. So I give it a really good clean and take the bugs that I saw out of it. Next day I call the shop and “Sam” answers, I tell her that they refused to fix it because of infestation and I cleaned it and asked if they could fix it now that there isn’t any bugs in it and she said no, they don’t want to risk it. I have a feeling they are just being lazy. Look at how “infested” my heat sink looks and tell me if I’m missing something.

They have a disc resurfacing machine that they don't charge much to use. Plus they do repairs on consoles and controllers and have a 90-day warranty on the repair. Cool shop!

Talked to Nate I believe his name was and reassured me they do work in house. Stopped by to drop off my Xbox on a Saturday and was given a time frame and a price. I received good news on Monday afternoon. What a sweet surprise they had it done with 3 days. Talk about going above and beyond expectations. I know every situation is different. With my experience here I’ll definitely recommend this place to anyone. This store has a little bit of everything there. The owner, Michael, called a handful of other stores for me to see if they had it in stock. After striking out there, he offered to go to their office in a separate building and look their overflow to look for it. He came back with the game and offered it to me free of charge for waiting. As someone who owns a variety of retro consoles, this place is really neat if I'm just looking for a new game for one of my consoles or if they need repairs! It genuinely hurts me that people actually leave bad reviews here, because while I understand that not everyone can view things the same, most of the complaints I've never had problems with! And these employees are SO nice, like genuinely they are so awesome, and they treat you like they know you 1 to 1 and it's genuinely just awesome. Experiencia fantástica: I cannot recommend these guys enough. While I won't get into the majors of my story, I mentioned a few things going on in my world to the crew, and they actually listened and showed me a lot of compassion. I didn't feel like a customer, I felt like a real person. They really went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, and I cannot describe how grateful I am to be treated as a person and not just a wallet. I brought my PS4 that my brother bought me second hand was overheating, but after they serviced and cleaned it out, it running like it is brand new with absolutely no issues. It no longer sounds like a jet engine! Take your stuff to these guys, they are the absolute best.

Experiencia fantástica: Brought in a PS4 Pro to fix the loud fan. Figured it needed thermal paste and cleaning. I bough the console used off KSL for my brother with cancer and about to start chemo. We found the console was super loud and likely needed service. They were super nice and even expedited service for my brother so he could have the console before he started chemotherapy. It means the world to me and my brother. They earned lifetime customer.

Experiencia fantástica: it's a cool little shop. The gentleman behind the counter was nice and very helpful, but wasn't overbearing. They had a wide verity of games for both old and new consoles. The presentation of the shop with various posters and figures was very tasteful and very practical. Everything was neat and tidy, nothing looked out of place. Everything in the store seamed to be priced at value and I didn't feel I was being gouged. My only gripe (and its a small gripe) I have with the store is that games weren't in alphabetical order. it took a little bit longer to find the games I was looking for, but that's very minor. In short its a really nice hole in the wall video game shop and the next time I'm in town I plan to stop by.

Experiencia fantástica: My wife's Switch fell victim to the infamous 2101-0001 error. I'm pretty handy with repairing things, but unfortunately, this sort of repair went beyond my skills. Luckily, these guys knew exactly what the issue was when i called and explained it. They were able to take it in and had it fixed up in under a week (initially quoted a 2-week wait, which was already fine with us), and my wife was able to save her Pokemon that she'd been collecting for OVER 20 YEARS. 14/10 would recommend these guys.

Experiencia negativa: Went there with a DSI, 17 games, plus an extra game that generally sells at about $40. DSI was in great condition and I had some pretty nice DS games that included sonic and mario games. I was looking to sell for some cash and they only offered me $30 for everything. Only offered me $10 for the DSI despite him telling me he would only be able to sell it for $50?? Definitely was trying to scam us because I cannot believe someone would be serious about buying it for that amount.

Experiencia fantástica: These guys are the best! Not only is their selection of both retro and modern games varied and reasonably priced, their customer service is what I can only describe as “above and beyond.” Today I brought in my Nintendo 64 and two of my favorite games for it (Ocarina of Time, and Super Mario 64) thinking it was surely on its last leg. It had two major problems: it took multiple attempts (sometimes upwards of 20) to get it to turn on, and once it was on it had the even worse problem of constantly resetting itself which can wipe save data and makes for an overall morose gameplay experience in general. They gave both of my games and the cartridge slot a 20 year overdue deep clean which fixed the start up problem. They then went about fixing the restarting problem by troubleshooting it all kinds of ways, and with each obstacle they did not give up. They eventually had to open the old girl up, treating it with the utmost respect and care all the while. They gave the inside a careful and in depth cleaning as well. It appeared that gunk and corrosion were causing the resetting issue so after the cleaning they took it in the back to solder a few corroded points. After that they put it back together with the same care they showed taking it apart and plugged into their testing setup for testing. It worked like it was brand new and there wasn’t a hint of the previous problems left. They saved my Nintendo 64 that I’ve had since I was six years old (now 28) and for that I couldn’t be more grateful. They’ve earned a loyal customer for life, and they will always be my first stop for any repair or retro gaming needs. Please give them your business, you won’t regret it. Thanks again guys, I’m eternally grateful!

Experiencia fantástica: Went to them to get my 3ds repaired due to a clogged earphone jack. Got it replaced faster than expected. Ended up finding out they broke my home button and due to some prior damage they refused to insure it so now I got one thing fixed but now have an entirely new problem I rescind my previous statement they worked with me and we are getting the problem fixed

Experiencia fantástica: I had an absolutely incredible experience at Gamer Changerz this last 30-days. First they helped me repair my son’s design lab Xbox controller, what a relief. Next they helped me install an AMOLED screen kit for two Gameboy colors. I learned about the batteries needing replacement on my Pokemon games and in the day I picked up the Gameboy Colors they helped replace those batteries. My first experience in the store here was with Sam. Sam was extremely helpful and just a nice guy. When the Gameboy Colors were ready to pickup, Michael gave me a call and he was also great. I am very impressed with the service here. I look forward to needing their help again in the future.

Not only is the selection of older games, systems, and accessories impressive the service is amazing! Whenever we go in, thy are busy, but they know their stuff and are always super professional. I also appreciate that they won’t sell something unless they have tested it, or meets their standards in some way. We have been regulars here for a couple of years now. Such great service. We have purchased some original NES games from these guys and anytime we have had issues, they fix the games. Recently we purchased a game and the shop couldn’t fix it. So one of the guys brought his own personal copy of the game in gave to my kids.

They are knowledgeable and more then willing to go through hops just to make your gaming experience that much better. The stock is WILD, they have those rare games that you never saw elsewhere, they have a lot of retro consoles and games (Mind you at very good prices) AND, for the weebs, they often get in imports straight from japan. If six stars existed, I would give it to them. Unrelated, but fun, this place is right next to a Subway so it smells real good.

Experiencia fantástica: These guys were great!! My son's Nintendo switch quit working so I took it in to be fixed. Before even driving over, they were able to give me very clear and fair options for pricing from best to worst case scenario. They under promised and over delivered the timeframe for diagnosing the problem and called about a week sooner than they quoted. Unfortunately, the cost of repairing the switch wasn't worth it but they gave me an excellent price on a new one and went above and beyond answering all my questions on getting the data transferred over. Everyone I talked to was friendly, helpful, and gave clear advice. I would definitely recommend and will be returning in the future!

Experiencia fantástica: I walked in with a dead Nintendo switch. Alex helped me by diagnosing the issue. At first we were worried there was a problem with a fried chip. Thankfully not. Alex went through his diagnosis and was able to fix it right there. A rare thing because if it had been anything else it would have been about 2 weeks to replace! I had been eyeing the newer OLED system and went ahead and bought the used one on display. So, I walked out happily with 2 working systems. Super pleasant and helpful. Recommending these guys to everyone helpful and friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: My favorite video game store. Prices are competitive with online resellers and they give fair and honest trade in values. They are willing to negotiate if you are wanting store credit and will usually give a better offer when I go to check out without me even asking. Not sure if it's because they feel sorry for me since I buy a lot of low dollar items. I have been extremely pleased with how easy they are to deal with and how flexible they are when doing trades. Have been here multiple times and witnessed the employees to be friendly and professional even with difficult customers. Only wish they had more inventory but most everything they have sells quickly and inventory is always changing.

Experiencia fantástica: Went to these guys to fix my pokemon crystal battery. Had it done in 10mins, a little later game still wouldn't save. They were able to diagnose and found corrosion. They were able to get to work and get the game completely up and working in no time. I will be going to this place in the future for repairs and for stuff my wife doesn't want me to buy.

They had a great selection of old games and consoles, and they would also clean the disk of your game when you buy it. They have a machine that would clean the disks, and they didn't charge extra for it when you bought a game that needed to be cleaned. While my friend and I were shopping here, we overheard the person at the desk helping a customer fix their console. This place does a lot more than just being an old game store. The prices for PS3 games were really good! A lot of the games being sold were in great quality, as well as being cheaply priced for what they were. I picked up four PS3 games and still had a lot of money left over. The guy at the desk was also very helpful and nice. I would love to go here again when we visit Salt Lake in the future.

Their prices are extremely reasonable, the workers are knowledgeable, and all of their games and devices are tested. The only bad thing about them is that their "good games" (Mario, Zelda, pokemon) always sell fast due to how amazing they are, so always make sure to keep an eye on their Facebook!
