Experiencia negativa: Do not come to this location. Go to ANY other store. I wanted some controller extenders, and saw cute Minecraft ones in the PlayStation section that I liked. I have an Xbox controller. I did research, for some reason only looked at one website that said they would fit. Should have done for the research , that's my mistake. Went back to return the item less than an hour after purchasing. Apparently They have a line on all receipts saying 'only unopened products are eligible for return within 15 days of purchase.' ALL gamestops accept returns of any kind as long as the item isn't broken or damaged. The support agent i was on the phone with will be flagging this location. Should be getting a refund or store credits soon, just completely do not agree with this locations practices. I've been to many gamestops, and returned many opened products throughout my life growing up, and have never ran into this issue. Poor practices. Terrible location.

The girl with the mustache told me if I was selling my Xbox series x I would get $250 but really that was in store credit. She also neglected to tell me the Venmo would take 24/48 hours. Just awful never again
Experiencia negativa: I would avoid buying used controllers from GameStop. Their testing process clearly isn’t reliable. I traded in a PS5 controller that had stick drift, and the employee couldn’t even detect the issue at first—it took a few minutes before it finally showed up. That already made me question how thorough their testing really is. Then I was given a replacement controller, and it didn’t seem like it was properly tested before being handed to me. I took it home, and it had just as much stick drift as the one I traded in. What’s frustrating is that this isn’t even the first time I’ve had this issue here. The same thing happened to me last year with a Nintendo Switch controller. Overall, it feels like their system either doesn’t catch stick drift well or the controllers aren’t being checked carefully enough before resale. I’d recommend going with a new controller instead of used if you want to avoid the hassle of multiple trips and defective products or just avoid this GameStop entirely.
Experiencia negativa: I just called the store about the Switch 2 Tomodachi Life game, and whoever answered the phone responded in a quick, rude manner, saying they didn’t have the game. When I asked if she could check whether other GameStop locations might have it, she said their system was broken, but she continued to speak to me in the same rude way. I understand that the store may not have the resources at the moment, and that’s okay, but what wasn’t okay was how I was treated over the phone. I hope she has a better day.

Experiencia negativa: PSA if you decide to buy a refurbished item from GameStop, make sure you buy the extended warranty. Stupidly, I did not buy the extended warranty on an Xbox elite controller because in my mind it should last at least a year, nope less than 4 months and no recourse. I have been loyal customer for years and it’s unfortunate they do such a shoddy job refurbishing the items that they resell. Definitely will not be buying any refurbished items from them again!

Experiencia negativa: This is so ridiculous, I just put serious thought into typing this last response, probably 30 minutes just to make my point clear. But just like the fact that they couldn't get a store employee to answer the phone for the 2 hours (just like this they probably set it up so longer remarks can't be posted bc my last message I was talking about would not let me send it, Even after copying the message then erasing it and doing it all over again from scratch four or five different times and it still wouldn't let me post it) I called off and on, nor being in the parking lot. Seeing no customers in there and then calling and watching the people in there. Not even look at the phone. This is by far not a one-time occurrence and the last 2 to 3 years at this location has been a nightmare of an experience, definitely can't be a franchise location because they would have already had to close up the shop due to the way they treat customers and seem to run a business. The worse. I'm done, but if anybody at corporate wants to give me a call or shoot me an email regarding this matter, I'd be glad to speak to you about it. PS y'all need to go hire a bar manager, in front of the house restaurant manager, an executive chef or even just a bartender, to work at and run y'all's stores. They are not scared of hustle, in the life they live has to be about customer service or they'll typically go home broke! Meaning it's in their blood, unlike some of the pieces of work I've seen here at that Carrie store as of late. I will say the Apex and two Raleigh stores I've been to haven't had that problem though. Experiencia negativa: I want to report that I was killed by a hacker in a ranked game, I saw a man flying with a car and then I got a network error because he crashed the server. I had already been pushing for 5 hours and got so much but I got through. That much percentage was lost. I also want to report that cars and fists and nitro need to be nerved because this ruins the game. I really liked Fortnite until this. This really cannot continue any longer, please do something otherwise I will sue you for 5000000 euros.

Yesterday I went to pick up my preorder of Yu-Gi-Oh Early Days Collection but they hadn't even ordered it. It came in today so I went to pick it up. While I was there I tried to buy three games since there was a buy two get the third free promo deal. I decided on Red Dead Redemption 2 as one of those games. The case was on display but when I went to buy the game he did not have it.
Experiencia fantástica: Always love going here, especially with my kids, for Pokemon cards. Ryland (maybe misspelled hah) was really helpful in picking stuff out and making sure I knew what was on sale. Really good experience, I recommend this GameStop.
Experiencia negativa: This is by far the worst experience I’ve had at a GameStop. Do not buy used equipment from here, especially without a warranty. I now need to return a 3rd time within 4 days to exchange equipment that just doesn’t work. All I want to do is play PS5. How is it this difficult? There’s no quality to the used equipment from here. I’m getting a really bad feeling about this store. I guarantee they won’t do anything to help either.

Devon helped me out despite us both being exhausted and me not really knowing what I was looking for. Dude even showed me the dusty secret drawer of 360 games just to see if there was anything I'd like. Friendly, awesome service. He deserves respect.
Experiencia fantástica: My wife and I have gone into this location several times. Initially, I was very uninterested in going in as my experience at most GameStops has been less than desirable (snooty employees, uncomfortable atmosphere, etc.). Sebastian has taken the time every time we come in to ask us what questions we have and to help us locate a specific item or think through what would fit the description of what we want— even if we don’t know exactly what it is at the time. This has become a fun place for my wife and I to visit and this is thanks to the stellar customer service we have received each time.

When I first walked in he could have said something more polite that he was hungry but instead he’d rather have a unseen fit (meaning the customer didn’t see him) with the customer in front of him trying to pay. He should not be working there....no customer service.....also was bragging about taking advantage of a young boy that was trading his games. Rude and scammer.

He navigated me through the entire process gave me couple of options and gave advice which consumers never finds out about. This location is blessed to have good employees like Troy. Will be coming back soon.

Experiencia fantástica: Jodi, Zack, Corey and Nicola were all awesome. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Nicola greeted my girlfriend and I with positive energy and helped me find what I was looking for, Jodi assisted my girlfriend and she also liked my hair pick lol! Corey was the main man who rang me up and got me resubcribed to my Power Rewards membership. He also made it so I could save a few dollars on my purchase. Zack didn't help is directly but I noticed he did a stellar job with the other customers. All in all, I want to thank the entire team today for their amazing customer service. I live in Maryland but here in North Carolina, they do what they do well.

Experiencia negativa: I went in to pick up a game, which should have taken me less than 5 minutes. Instead it took me almost 20 minutes, but there was only one person in front of me. The sales person was attempting to sell all kinds of warranties and accessories to the girl in front of me who was obviously uncomfortable and just wanted to take her switch and leave. Meanwhile, the manager was standing there and another employee came up to the front but apparently neither could be bothered to check me out. When I finally get to checkout, the sales person put a warranty on my game without telling me and when I looked at the price I had to tell him to take it off. That is deceptive. They should always ask before just including it. Also, one of the employees was sitting in front of the store smoking when I entered the store. That is gross. Have your employees stand out back and smoke if they want to there, not out front where customers have to breathe it in to get into the store.

Continuously helped other customers who had just walked in, ignoring those in line and at the counter. Manager was also absent and unhelpful. Don't waste you time here, it's worth the drive to any other location. Only giving one star because it is the minimum rating to leave a review.

Experiencia negativa: Would not offer a full refund because the cellophane wrapper was missing on a game that had never even come out of the box. Bought as a gift and the kid that got it tore off the plastic immediately as children do, then said I'd gotten the wrong game. When I tried to take it back, they docked my refund, claiming there was no way to prove that the game had never been played and wouldn't give a full refund as a result. BS policy if you ask me. I understand it for people who use GS as a glorified game rental service, but that wasn't at all my situation.

First time I came to this Gamestop, they "accidentally" misplaced my online order which required me to wait almost an hour for them to figure out what happened to the order. Second time (and last time) I walked in today at 0950 after dropping off a package at the UPS Store and the guy screams from the back "we're closed" as if I was suppose to realize that with the door being unlocked and appearing that they were open for business. Save time and just go to the Gamestop in the mall.

Experiencia negativa: A mixed bag when I visited this store today. Got a great deal on games with friendly customer service and helpful employees. However, when it came time to check the employee said after the transaction was completed "that will be 40.11 with the three games and disc protection." I never mentioned I wanted the protection, nor did he ever ask if I wanted the disk protection ... the extra $6.00 was just added to my total! 20% of my purchase! This led to me awkwardly asking the employee to remove the protection, leading to a twice as long transaction and a frustrated line behind me. I don't know if this is a GameStop policy or a store policy but on the off chance that it is a store policy, seriously stop making your employees sneak unwarranted insurance on your products... seriously. This is slimy and honestly a crappy bow that was thrown on top of what was otherwise a great experience at your store. You have a great staff, don't make them do shady stuff like this.
