I go to this location every week like clock work. 99% of the time I’m first & everyone that goes to this location knows I’m most likely gonna get there first. Had this new guy show up saying he was first when I was clearly there the whole time . IS THAT THE J I’m glad you decide not to argue over Pokemon because it would have went left real quick for you ! Next time get there earlier & I’ll respect it. As I always do when I’m ACTUALLY not there first. EDWIN IS great at making sure everyone is treated fair & carries the store with integrity. It’s funny how ya get salty when you know you weren’t first. Everyone that goes to this location knows I’m mostly there before anyone. Besides that great location great vibes Edwin is the man !!!

Experiencia negativa: On Black Friday I went to my gamestop in my mall to buy Pokemon cards. I waited outside for the Mall doors to unlock and when they did I was the first one to be at the gamestop doors. I get there and 5 mins this guy comes and sits in a chair behind. More time goes by and the manager Edwin gets there says a joke and tell me about how they only have 1 booster box, 2 blister 3 packs and 6 Moltres UPCs. I tell him what I was interested in and he says I can get them if the dude behind me in the chair doesnt buy them all. I tell him I was the first one in line and he proceeds to tell me that the dude in the chair is always first and hes always the first one. I stood there looking at him confused then the guy in the chair says “Ive been sitting here the whole time” straight up lying. At that point I was gonna argue over Pokemon cards so I didnt say anything and when the manager asked him what he was gonna get he proceeds to let him buy the only 2 blister packs, 1 booster box, and 2 upcs and left only 4 UPCs which are $160 items. Mind you I was there with my nephew and just wanted to get 1 blister pack each for us. Then the manager on too of lying proceeds to keep trying to sell me the pro membership which mind you I thought about getting but after that experience at gamestop, never again. Then we finally get inside and after the dude in the chair buys the items he proceeds to give both the workers behind the counter dap like they are friends. After seeing that I will not be buying a pro membership or buying at gamestop again. L experience and a waste of my time.

Experiencia negativa: Gamestop has become obsolete. I received a gift card for my Birthday to buy Expedition 33. The store was sold out of all Physical copies. The store online also sold out. Ok no problem I'll just have to buy a Playstation card to buy it digital. Nope. You can't use a gift card to buy digital currency. Whats the point of a video game store that doesn't sell the game that literally came out last week? Anyone want a gift card? I have no idea what to do with this now.......

Experiencia positiva: Not bad. Making a return/exchange felt a little off-putting. I had the receipt and only bought a carrying case. It was too small for my stuff so I exchanged it for one more than twice the price. It was in its original packaging and re-shelvable and I still got some inquiries. "Did you open it?", "Oh, I guess it's okay if its within 15 days"... it just seemed odd, because it was only 2 days and still brand new and I had the receipt in-hand. It's a cool store to check out the games coming out and maybe picking up something at a non-discounted price point, but it falls short of a personable experience that leaves you wanting more

Experiencia positiva: Working in Waterbury, I came across this GameStop in September 2022, during the Shiny Eternatus event in Pokémon Sword & Shield. This was after my local GameStop in Shelton ran out, so I was impressed. I later came back to pre-order Scarlet & Violet, and the service was good. Overall, it's a good GameStop, but I do have my qualms. They did not have the pre-order bonus for Scarlet and Violet double pack (the pins) when I went around 5:30, which was a bummer. I'm guessing they were not properly stocked or gave them to people who had not pre-ordered. I've tried calling since then (to inquire if they will by chance get more pins for those folks like me who pre-ordered and didn't get them), but despite them having answered my calls in September, they haven't picked up. It's a shame, because in-store service was good.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible experience. We ordered something online, received an email saying our order was ready, drove 30 minutes out of the way for the girl to say "yeah we can't find it. It's here somewhere..comeback tomorrow" she said only the manager knew where it was and since it was his birthday he wasn't answering his phone. We figured we'd call before heading all the way back up there today and turns out the manager called out and the girl still had no clue where our product is. Cancelled our order and will never use this store again. So disappointed.

Experiencia fantástica: The workers are always happy to help. If you can't find what you need, they'll help find a place that has it. I had to order a game, that wasn't available at that store. A worker ordered it from another store and had it shipped to the one in Rome. They're amazing!

Experiencia negativa: This store is always cramped and feels dirty when you walk in. It is always hot as h*ll and there is always some funky smell. So many products are kept behind the counter or they just plain don't have them. The game selection is mediocre and there are even less for the older but still popular systems. The collectible and toy selection is just awful, they have more socks then collectibles. The employees are always so busy working behind the counter that they aren't available to help beyond. The line in this place is always ridiculously long when this is easily the worst store in this area. I've only found 2 employees that have been pleasant in all the times I've shopped here. The only reason I go in here is because my son loves to visit during our mall trips. This is a terrible location!! Do yourself the favor and drive to Wolcott Rd or Naugatuck, you'll be way better off.

Experiencia negativa: I've been going to this gamestop for almost 5 years and recently I've been going in grabbing the game case and purchasing a game and then when i check my bag they switch the cases with the default case and as a collector this is really annoying and i dont even ask for the games traditional case cause to me its awkward

Experiencia fantástica: They were three minutes past their closing time and as the man was locking up I asked him if he could please just let me buy a gift card that I had probably someone and without hesitation he told me no problem. We stayed longer and he engaged us with friendly conversation as well as information we didn't know and gaming tips. Very cool and friendly staff.
