Experiencia negativa: I'm so sick of dealing with these people, first the product replacement plan was changed so you can no longer get NEW product replaced with the exact same thing, that's psychotic...then on a whim to just check and see if they have games, I have now TWICE been greeted, during opening hours, with a paper sign in the window stating they'll be back in 30 mins or longer and the door locked. What an absolutely terrible way to conduct business, I absolutely will never be shopping with this GameStop again, and seriously would recommend people try any of the other stores that are nearby.
Experiencia negativa: They will rip you off. Bought xbox headphones here for 15$. I found the same ones on AliExpress for 1 DOLLAR. Also their tcg prices especially on pokemon are AWFUL. They are really trying to give you a run for your money.
Experiencia negativa: I order cronos the new dawn yesterday to get it early and it said it will come yesterday never came. Then we called today see we're my game was and they said its still here never shipped and it just came today with the right case but the wrong game we called and they said we need to bring it in a switch it out but they should be able to send me a new one. I bought it online and they sent me a used copy instead of a new one when I ordered a new copy. Gamestop is just horrible company. Please people dont buy from here there are other stores that are much better. And also the employee on the phone was very rude
Experiencia negativa: Prices for pokemon cards here is crazy. They're charging a dollar for common reverse holos and three for promo EXs. None of those cards should be over $0.75 at market value. The prices also aren't displayed on or around the cards so you don't know how bad you're going to be ripped off until you check out. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and go literally anywhere else. Decided on 2 stars because the employees working there were nice and helpful.
Experiencia fantástica: After having a bad experience at Shoppes @ the Park GameStop location, I decided to visit a different store to see if things would be any better. I’m really glad I did. The experience at this location was completely different and extremely positive. The manager who helped me was professional, respectful, and took the time to answer all my questions clearly. From the moment I walked in, the customer service was friendly and welcoming. You could immediately tell that this store values its customers and takes pride in providing good service. It was honestly one of the best retail experiences I’ve had. The manager was knowledgeable, patient, and made sure I left with exactly what I needed. This location really restored my confidence in GameStop. Great job to the team at this store for showing what great customer service should look like.

Experiencia fantástica: The associate Audrey is amazing and wonderful to the customers. Makes the Pokemon event on Sunday friendly to all from starting to know Pokemon to the veterans of the genre. Her level of commitment to the success of the store is unmatched like her old store in Fleming Island. I will continue to go to this location long as she is around, buying and reserving new games. She rocks!!!
Experiencia negativa: No greeting from the employees. The system was also down and came back up. At the time it was up, the manager could have made at least ~1224 in sales, but the manager seemed more interested in his own ego and hearing himself speak. He spoke so highly of the San Jose GameStop, which is a "premium" store. However, based on my experience, their customer service is poor too and all three of their computer systems crashed, with the manager not wanting to do anything about it until after closing. Inevitably, at this store, the system crashed again, or maybe he is keeping the product for the GameStop employees who work at the premium store. I wouldn't be surprised. I forgot to mention that the manager also spoke badly about Normandy GameStop and talked trash about a customer who he believes wasn't going to purchase anything. He also complained about how "every time someone walks out the door he is losing out on sales" (but this didn't apply to the father and child he prejudged).

Experiencia negativa: Employee Wren It is Friday August 29th 10am, I'm 2nd person in line. Its now 1024am and this employee still has not completed check out for the customer in front of me because he won't quit yapping. Good grief quit trying to sell every pro membership under the sun and talking about everything that comes to mind. Newsflash, you're testing two ps5 controllers, and the customer is trading them in for a new one. Now the employee cant find the key to unlock the controllers on display behind the register so he goes to the back to retrieve. Comes back out and still will not stop yapping. 30 minutes to check out a game? No thank you keep the inventory. No wonder this company is going under. The whole store looks like a Spencer's gift shop minus the pervy items and the employees want to engage like this is a personal social hub. Hire a second employee for Friday mornings at least.

Experiencia positiva: Came here the other day to trade in an Xbox for some cash the person was very helpful with it. Just dislike the fact that me removing my pin and other stuff on the profile I had to look at a small screen which was abit painful for me as I had to really squint my eyes to see what I'm doing. But I'll say this is the best option to trade in electronics as I went to another which was PayMore who only offer 45.5 for the Xbox I brought in which was RIDICULOUSLY low for a 200+ console.

Experiencia fantástica: I have not shopped at GameStop in years and am happy to report that I had a pleasant experience during several recent visits. I really do not understand all of the negative reviews regarding the staff here. Everyone here has been incredibly kind and helpful. No one was pushy when I declined purchasing anything extra like warranties. I had many questions and they were patient in answering all of them for me. I ended up making several trades and putting it towards the purchase of a new console. The best part of coming in is simply having the opportunity to chat with the staff about gaming; something we have a shared enthusiasm for! Overall, very pleased and will be back. Shoutout to Rina, Victoria, Kirsten and Isabella for great customer service.

Experiencia negativa: We were told they're open till 8 and that they would be there till 8, we show up at 7:30, doors locked and no one answering the phone. We watched multiple people show up and look just as disappointed to realize the door was locked. Employees also lack a considerable amount of common sense on products they sell.
Experiencia negativa: 100% lost my business, store hours say on Thursday open til 8 I pulled up at 7:10 and was refused entry , door locked and employee motioned no when I put up 8 fingers and mouthed I thought y’all closed at 8 , fix your hours or your employees willingness to work and you’ll probably gain more business and make more profit.

Got met with rude and condescending behavior from Trever (he/him) when I declined signing up for the pro rewards membership while trying to trade in a console for another; tried to wait out an update my system had just for him to be rude once again about declining the membership and state that my choice just didn’t make sense to him. This is beyond unacceptable behavior for minimum wage employees to try a high pressure sale tactic for lackluster consoles sold by greasy little men
Experiencia negativa: This is by far the worst GameStop in town the people that work there are extremely rude and will constantly try to sell you something even after repeatedly saying no. I get that they get extra pay and stuff but it gets annoying and I come here a lot and it’s always a hassle having to decline over and over again about certain things. However the last time I went to this store the colorful haired rude employee greeted me and my girl when we walked in and I gave her a wave and she said in a very sarcastic manner “hello to you too” as if I didn’t just acknowledge her greeting. Very weird interaction and like I said I come here a lot and it’s like this every time. This lady has a bone to pick with the customers that come here and it’s best to just got to the other gamestops in Jacksonville. The one on beach and Hodges by target is much better.

Experiencia fantástica: I went in for a simple warranty exchange. I was greeted by Shane and quickly assisted. Shane helped me with all my questions and needs. Not only that, Shane also discussed upcoming games and PC gaming with me. It was a genuine conversation and made me feel valued as a customer. I didn't feel like just another transaction in Shane's day. Employees like Shane are the reason I continue to take my business to Gamestop and I really hope Shane gets recognition. I highly recommend Gamestop and this location specifically due to Shane's expert customer service.

Experiencia negativa: Sold me a full price console without any cords, just console and one controller. Inquired about it, I was told they don't have the cords and was told it was marked as defective after buying it and calling the store back, the console works, but they did not inform me of missing cords when purchasing and charged me the full price of the console. I was also told just to bring it back for a refund, but that's not the point. Why sell something as full price when it doesn't have all the required material and then not disclose this to the customer. Unprofessional.

Experiencia negativa: I generally try and limit my reviews, and if I do take the time out to write a review I try to make it a positive one -- however in this case I need to share our very poor experience with this store. My 10 year old son went in to purchase a game card. The store did not have any hard cards in stock, so they sold him a virtual card. The associate asked him which system, he confirmed, the associate said press the green button, and BAM he has his points. Come to find out the wrong system code was issued and now the store nor customer service will reimburse him or issue a new card so he is apparently out $20 of his birthday money. I am still fighting the battle because I do not think it is appropriate he lose out in this case. If it was his error, I would say it was a good lesson for him to learn. Fair warning regarding customer service with this company.
Experiencia positiva: I was looking for a Nintendo game charge which I did not find. I walked in and out of there so I only spent about five minutes inside the shop. Service was pretty quick. I soon as I step in there someone was already helping me with what I needed.
Experiencia negativa: Had an interaction with the old balding guy; he was the only one working at the store. Tried calling the store but no one ever answers When we got to the store it was just him and there was only one other person in the store, who was basically done checking out. Seemed like his friend. Didn't bother to help us or ask if we needed anything, and once we finally got assistance, he was completely rude and basically felt inconvenienced because he just wanted to talk to his friend. I'm sure their stock in games is fine, but this guy was terrible so that's the reason for the 1 star

I felt very uncomfortableI felt he didn’t want to help because the color of my skin …. This is not a place you would want to support … look for another game stop to spend your money in . Experiencia negativa: On the way home from vacation, we decided to stop a few stops and shop along the way. We wanted to check out a few stores in the same area so when we seen gamestop we figured we would go a head and get our kids a few things, new gaming controllers and games and skins for our daughters new switch. As my husband was looking at the controllers for our son, one came off hook so the girl made a comment like he was stealing I explained we are from out of town we don't normally shop here. She rolled her eyes and said "right" my husband tried to hand her the controller as like we said it came off, and she said well are you buying it? " ( rudley ) he then explained well, yeah, but I'd like to look at it. He just was handing it back because of her reaction to it coming off. She did not take back from him, so we walked back over and just put it back. The man working there came over to the left of me basically on top of me, making smart remarks and laughing. This happens all within 1 min of us walking in door. We were there to spend money after our 6 day vacation visiting Orlando/Daytona tour, and this by far was the worst place we have stepped into. My advice to the employees there is to humble yourself. We have been on vacation, and on the road just because we're not all dressed up does not mean we can't afford nor spend money. I'm wondering is it because my husband is black that we were stereotyped

I came in to replace my ps4 controller (that has a warranty) and The two associates at the front we’re just idly chit chatting for around 10 minutes just to tell me they don’t know if they can get me a replacement. They then call their manager and over exaggerate the damage of the controller. The manager says I can’t get it replaced over the phone and they go right back to chit chatting like I wasn’t there. Never stepping foot in this game stop again
Experiencia fantástica: After determining that the HDMI port had failed on my Xbox One X, I went to trade it in as I had the two-year protection plan (which I always buy as GS). Emma was very pleasant as she greeted me and walked me through the trade-in process. She also noticed an error that the Gamestop I bought the XB1 from made, which had me worried at first, but she assured me everything was ok. After a little more digging, she was able to complete the transaction and send me on my way. I had to return to get my game out of the console and to trade controllers, since the one I recieved wasn't anywhere near my color of preference, yet she continued to be just as hospitable as before. Thanks for the help!

Experiencia fantástica: I have gone to many GameStop stores around Jacksonville and Orange Park and I have been impressed with the selection of games and collectables over the years. I recently purchased a Gundam Universe RX-78-2 Gundam 6-inch action figure from the GameStop at the St. John's Town Center and I am fully satisfied with the condition of the package and figure. Also, the manager there was very friendly and he also shared a love for anime and Gundam just like me. I highly recommend visiting the GameStop store at the St. John's Town because the staff there is friendly and helpful and there's big variety of games, consoles, and collectables for all ages.
