Experiencia negativa: Stopped in the buy some Pokémon for my son. There was one other person in the store who was at the register when I arrived. I was patient and waited behind the 1 single person to make my purchase. Time slowly passed and I was never even acknowledged by the GameStop employee. Eventually I was tired of waiting and put the merchandise back, where I was still never acknowledged. I’ve have better service at a 7Eleven.

Experiencia negativa: I wish I could leave zero THE NERVE of some people. My husband went into the store to sell his phone. They have a touch screen thing you can plug your phone into and they test it and give you a price for trading in. One of the workers started to give him a glare and make him feel uncomfortable. My husband is a small skinny black man. The big dude came over and told him he couldn’t sell his phone there. I don’t know what this dude problem was, we have sold phones there’s before, never again. We will stick with MegaMedia from now on
Experiencia fantástica: Always good knowledgable folks in there to help steer me into new game choices 3/19/25 update: While I normally love this store, always stick my head in when I'm at east town I've never had this awkward of an experience. I'll say this is a first, never seen an employee here this disinterested in the job. One of the reasons I love gamestop is it's populated by gamers who are normally excited. Now I would have just chalked this up to a one off or a bad day and moved on with life, but here is the kicker on this visit. We picked up RS6 for PS4, sticker was $6.99. The guy was grabbing the disks and I was wandering, come back it rings up as $7.99, whatever I get it, but this nob ripped the price sticker off like I wouldn't notice. It's $1, I dont care but it was just his bad attitude combined with how he handled the misprice was just beautiful. Still a must stop when I am in the area, but wow was this a wild first for me after shopping there for like 20 years lol

Experiencia negativa: On 2/14/25 I came into the store for some product that was supposed to be in stock but turned out it was not. The guy at the counter said to the 3 people waiting (including me) that we could but are name and phone number down and that they would call us when the product arrived and they wouldhold us some . Which they said would probably be a few hours. However what actually happened is i called them back in the afternoon and the the guy over the phone said that they sold out. I never got a call at all!!! Here i waw thinking i had some resvered and they sold out with out even contacting me.THIS IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. This was not handled in a professional manner at all!
Experiencia negativa: If you are looking to sell old games go somewhere else or sell the games yourself on marketplace. Unless u r looking to exchange the pre-owned game for another that GameStop has, selling to them is not an ideal option. Wish I would have known ahead of time that if I'm selling a game at GameStop and wanting cash instead of store credit they give you literally pennies on the dollars for your games.

Experiencia negativa: Not acknowledging nor considerate of other customers. Really wanted this game so I waiting because it wasn’t at any other game stop. Once it was my turn the employee didn’t even take the time with me like he did the customer in front of me whom I was waiting behind. Not a great experience!

Also, gamestop's employee Caleb, on the east side of the Madison, was absolutely awesome, professional and made my shopping experience very enjoyable. One of the best employees GameStop has had in a while.

Experiencia fantástica: I would give this shop zero if I can. They charged me for one game and gave me a completely different game. I didn’t realize until I opened it and it wasn’t the right one. The cashier was more interested in talking to security than paying attention to the customer. Would never go back. Now I have a game that I don’t want and I can’t prove they made a mistake. Will never go back!!! Always confirm you have the right game, don’t trust them!!! Update: I will keep my old review present but I went back to the game stop. I told them employee (Justin) what had happened and that I’m still trying to get the original game that I paid for. He was very patient and did everything to help me out. Even though, they didn’t have the game, they told me I can find it at a different mall somewhat close by.

Some places I've seen, folks with my grey hair get talked down to, or girls, or Black or Brown friends--I don't see any of that here. It's peaceful, wonderful, & my kid loves it too.
Experiencia negativa: The staff seems to be trained differently. A policy that is "four years old" just stopped me from redeeming my pro member points even though I have done this many times over the past year of bring a pro member.

Experiencia fantástica: The thing about these old school brick and mortar stores is that the more you frequent them, you can establish relationships that really enhance your shopping experience. Gone are the days with real human help! I've worked in retail for years and honestly there is no such thing as a 'perfect' experience when looking for what you need every time. But with this store, the staff will absolutely do their best to get you what you need. Video games are demanding, sometimes you have to be specific. It's a sea of product, and extremely frustrating to work with. I will come back every time, to this store; not only because I'm an oldschool gamer that will buy physically until I cant, but because the staff take(the manager especially) will take their time every time. Its hard to find that in the digital age.

Experiencia positiva: A small quaint GameStop. The manager is nice, however the guy working with him was a little unprofessional. Looking at his phone when there were customers trying to check out. I bought Pokemon cards here and there wasn't a sign that said that there was a 5 per person limit. I had to ask when I checked out, i ended up putting a handful of packs away.
Experiencia negativa: Went to GameStop and bought a refurbished Xbox series X controller that the rep claimed “had never even been used”. Got home to find out that the joysticks are definitely not calibrated correctly and can’t use any menus without moving two spots at a time or spawning in games looking into the sky. Long story short - GameStop is still the worst and ALWAYS buy insurance/protection for used purchases there!

Experiencia negativa: Have had too many bad experiences at this store lately, staff needs to do better. I always have a good experience with lexi(?) they are always very nice. The other two guys who work at this store need to do better. One of them just needs better hygiene his customer service is fine he just smells. The other one has got to go. I shouldn’t walk into a store to buy a game and have the employee who I think is the store manager, he was wearing a tie, ask if the game is for my boyfriend. How insulting. There’s enough misogyny in this world I don’t need it from gamestop employees too. If this guy really is a store manager he has got to go. Completely disrespectful. Won’t be coming back to this location, west is much better even if it’s out of my way.

Last time i visited there was only one visible staff member and they were talking to another customer our whole walk through. Buying something might have been a long wait. On the plus side, they seemed very knowledgable!

Experiencia fantástica: Do you have some old games that you don't play anymore? I didn't know about this until 2 weeks ago but game stop can buy your old games for either cash or store credit. One thing to note is, if you pick store credit you will get more like for example you trade 2 games and they offer to give you $15 in cash, if you pick store credit you could get $30 or $35 in store credit. Great place, I trade my old games and got new once, I will put a photo of them down below. Personally I don't come here until I need a new game but every time I am here my service experience is great. The employee really are nice and they make sure you get what you came for.

They told me no we don’t have any, and no we are not taking any more per order. I’ve been a loyal customer/gamer for years. Never wanted to spend my money on games anywhere else. Now I will, THERES no loyalty in stores to customer, like there is customer to store! This is an eye opener thanks GameStop F you too!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: Horrible Experience. I put a ps4 bundle fornite on layaway a month before BLACK FRIDAY. I seen the Black Friday ad a week in advance and seen they had the PS4 bundle on sale. I called 2 days in advance to see will I be able to get it for that price. The gentleman said YES, as long as it the same. I then told him it’s the bundle fornite he said OF COURSE. I went in today 11/30/19 was told I couldn’t get it cause it different and plus they sold OUT! I was HIGHLY UPSET. This was a gift for someone special. I’m a member her and spend lots of money with this company. I told they girl I want my money back that I put on layaway. She then ask for card I used I gave it to her. When I left out the store I look at my receipt and realize it wasn’t the correct card. I went back in and told her she didn’t ask me if I had the card ending in blah blah blah. Manger was next to her and his attitude was just as nasty. NEVER AGAIN I WILL DO A LAYAWAY WITH GAMESTOP AGAIN.

Experiencia fantástica: Came here today just to browse, and ended up getting the new Borderlands 3 for the Xbox One, purely because of the awesome customer service!! The young woman who helped me with my trade in was absolutely incredible! She did everything she could to save me the most money off the new game, and get the most for my trade in of Forza 7! And, renewed my pro membership! After everything, it only cost me $41.00 for a new copy of Borderlands 3 and a year of pro membership status!! Thank you so much for another awesome experience with GameStop!! You guys rock!!
