Experiencia fantástica: This location is great! The people here are extremely friendly and helpful. A lot of the negative reviews here are made from crazy people who think they can just get whatever they want at the lowest price. I've been coming to this GameStop for years, and with the current staff, they are incredible. READ GAMESTOPS POLICIES AND STOP BLAMING THIS STORE PEOPLE.

Experiencia negativa: I was sold a refurbished controller thinking I could save a few bucks, IT IS NOT WORTH IT BUY NEW. So I went to make my original purchase got home and tested the controller and gamer knows the triggers should be silent but Scarlett said she didn't notice anything but you could clearly hear the clicking. Replaced awesome right?? Nope, they exchange it for me for an even worse controller than the one I had traded in. So I call and was told they would give me credit towards a new controller awesome right? Wrong, once again I had the displeasure of having to deal with C/S representative Scarlett who not only attempted to kick me out of her store on the basis ofe simply saying "See". This representative did everything possible to make things as difficult as possible. Shawn you are the store manager shame on you for running a store like this. I will never ever go back. I had to pull out my cellphone camera to record her attemptting to kick me out. The controller was broken by the way. Like I told the rude employee check the cameras. I am 39 years old this is the first review I have ever written. So if I took the time to write this please listen. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING REFURBISHED FROM THIS LOCATION AND YOU WANT TO BE TREATED TERRIBLY THIS IS YOUR STORE. Thanks for the special treatment Scarlett

Experiencia negativa: My husband and daughter went in to buy a pre-owned game. The pre-owned game was for $39.99. However, when they walked up to pay for it, the cashier rang it to a total of $44.99. The subtotal came to $48.70, he didn't realize that they were charged $10.00 more. He then went back in to inform the cashier that there was a mistake. He told my family "Oh, they must have not changed the sticker." What the hell? My husband informed the cashier that, that was false advertising. The cashiers' attitude was, "So, what..?" If this how they do business and casually change prices as they go? I didn't realized how many scam artist business's there are in San Antonio. We will never go back. Check the price before you are ripped off at the register.

Experiencia positiva: The staff is helpful and their selection of games is nice. However, they almost never answer the phone. If you're lucky, you can get someone to pick up once... but you will have to call several times over several hours of that day. It's almost as if their policy is to do everything in their power to refuse to pick up the phone and answer. If you need anything, just go to the store and get excellent service in person.

Experiencia negativa: We pulled up to this location and there was already a few potential customers that stayed the had already been waiting about 10 minutes and in addition to their wait I too waited 17 additional minutes. Called and the line was "busy" but there was Noone in the store. This is horrible business money was lost and then st9re managers wonder why goals aren't met...now I have to drive 14 minutes 8n the opposite direction from where I was headed to in hopes the have the 3 remotes I was getting originally.....

Experiencia positiva: Staff was very friendly and helpful. First time back in over a year, previous employees were rude and unhelpful, glad to see a significant improvement on the customer service side. Parking is SO TERRIBLE. I can't give it more than 3/5 stars. Essentially, one way in/out feeding to &from potranco (effectively a one-way street as well) also the is no real option to 'do a loop' around the lot so if you miss a spot you are SOL, plus neighboring businesses (AT&T) claim spots out front making it look like there are open spots only to screw you over. If it wasn't so convenient i probably would never go to this location

Experiencia negativa: I usually don’t have issues with GameStop, but this time was pretty frustrating. I ordered a game online for in-store pickup, and it ended up stuck in their mailbox for a week. Instead of a quick and easy pickup, I had to keep checking back while they sorted it out. To make things worse, I couldn’t even get a refund until they were able to access the mailbox, which took way longer than it should have. In the end, I gave up and bought the game somewhere else. The staff was friendly and tried to help, but the whole situation was a hassle. If you’re ordering for pickup, just be aware that things might not always go smoothly. Hoping for a better experience next time!

Experiencia fantástica: The store is always very clean and well stocked, with all the products orderly and easy to find. Often times when I go there I'm greeted by two very friendly ladies who like to chat with me about games, and today I was helped by the exceptionally polite and attentive Sean. He was kind both on the phone and in-person, helping me find exactly what I needed quickly. This is far and above the best GameStop I have shopped at.

Experiencia negativa: We got a PS5 for my stepson for Xmas and the console just wouldn't turn on a few weeks ago. We purchased the warranty through game stop to be able to return it if anything happened. My husband went to return it and they told him they could exchange it with a used one, but they didn't have any in stock. My husband then proceeded to ask for his money back then and they told him he couldn't return it because their policy has changed. The people working were not answering our questions and they proceeded to eat cheetos while speaking with us. Not to mention the store was a complete disaster. Stuff out of place and unorganized. Especially behind the counter. Very unprofessional location we had to go to a different game stop location to get our questions answered.

Experiencia positiva: Para los amantes de los videojuegos, consolas y accesorios esta es la tienda ideal para ustedes, encuentras todo lo que buscas y si no hay en la tienda lo puedes solicitar en la tienda y lo recoges en menos de una semana, te ofrecen en la compra un seguro por daño, en lo personal yo compré un Maus de video juego y se me dañaba cada cinco o seis meses, acudía a la tienda para solicitar la cobertura del seguro y entregaba el dañado y recibia uno nuevo, les quiero aclarar que yo en lo personal guardaba todo lo que tenía el Maus (producto que compra) ya que en la devolución te piden que lleves mínimo la caja del producto y la nota de compra para la devolución, así que si comprar un seguro infórmate que te ofrecen.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT buy pokemon cards from this location! I purchased 2 Darkness Ablaze ETB from this location on 5/6/22. I opened 2 packs from each box before I realized they were resealed! You can see in the pictures that there is silver on the seal where is was resealed taking off the original color. Also the middle tab is sealed down. There is also a card that was sealed over the top. I took the boxes in the next day to get replacements and they would not do anything. I did not even want my money back, I just wanted ones that were not resealed and the good cards taken out. I will never shop here again and I will tell everyone I know to never buy pokemon cards from GameStop!

I was also surprised by the gaming related gifts and clothing. I will have to buy a headset from here at some point from their surprisingly large selection.

Experiencia fantástica: Short review: This is a great store and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Burke and Micheal. Long review: I've been looking for a switch for a few weeks now but haven't had any luck. I called this gamestop and they had one available so I told them I'd come by with my husband to pick it up. We had so many questions about the console and what was included. The staff Burke and Micheal did such a great job answering all of our tedious questions. Burke rang us up and made us really feel like we were being taken care of. Buying a switch was a big financial decision for us so it was nice to feel heard. I cant thank this store enough for thier incredible treatment. I definitely recommend you go there for any gaming needs. Even if they don't have what your looking for they give your suggestions to get it.
