He was very rude stay away from this store

Experiencia negativa: Processed an online return and had the option to take the return in store. GameStop sent me an email with specific instructions and with a return date by February 1, 2026 to my nearest GameStop. The lady helping process my return at this store simply told me she couldn't process my return because the stores policy is 7 days and I had past that time. She didn't try to honor her companies policy that I was following because it didn't align with her store? She gave me no solutions even after I told her the about GameStop email instructions. The store is not aligned with the brand. What a frustrating experience at this store.
Experiencia negativa: Horrible customer service!!!!! Will never come back. This Sage or Rosalia woman (don’t know her real name) was super rude, wasn’t right, didn’t apologize, terrible attitude! She Was trying to keep my money for their stupid membership! Turned out it is refundable! Please train your stuff and don’t treat customers like trash!

Despite having two associates working, one only seemed to be interested in putting together stickers for games and the other struggled to get one guest checked out. Despite an ever increasing line team member one never once stopped her busy work. Poorly managed and poorly executed. Don't go here. After twenty minutes still on the first guest we left

Experiencia negativa: Come in to buy a game and do a trade in. Only one employee for Saturday which is a shame but 6 people in line waiting. Worker helps finshing a customers trade in which is fine it's been about 10 mins now. He finishes with customer and while a kid and his mom have been patiently waiting he ignores them then does other stuff with the same trade in, doesn't say anything to anyone the line gets a new person and after another few mins of waiting I just walk off I get that Gamestop workers don't have it easy but a simple acknowledgement of everyone who is waiting at this point

Experiencia negativa: They sold me a ps5 with a broken manufacturers seal on the box. They said that the seal was flimsy so they put their own, on top of the manufacturers. I caught it late after my daughter open her ps5 box and they said now it's officially opened. So no refund or exchange. Don't buy a new ps5 from here that's shady.

Experiencia negativa: The employee with the long tied up hair was very rude. No proper greeting and was not helpful at all. I came in to buy the PS portal and he just pointed me to the direction of the pre-owned PS portal instead. It gave me the impression that the shop did not have a new set. I went to check with him again whether there is a new set and he just gave me a very rude look and walked to the storeroom without acknowledging my question. I ended up purchasing the portal from him and the experience I encountered with him made me regretted it getting from this stop. No proper explanation given about the set like warranty and the price. The whole experience was just bad.

Kathy I believe is her name ( im so bad with names) the young lady helped me find a gift for my nephew. Very informed with the inventory and lead me to the correct items i needed. Experiencia fantástica: The Switch game selection was great and so I'm sure it's the same for the other consoles (which had walls filled with games). I didn't see a lot of hardware-controllers, etc, but they actually had a Wii controller. They had their one person who was like a typical video game store guy, disinterested, bored, canned responses, but he knows almost everything about the games on any console. So, the staff was good. Best of all, they had great Merch.

Experiencia fantástica: GameStop is one of my favorite video game stores, and I visit this location in Torrance frequently when I am going to work. The staff here is very friendly and very knowledgeable about the latest Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo video game releases., the selection is great, and I always walk out of here with a new video game. I was recently able to trade in my old Nintendo Switch and upgrade it to the new Switch for my kids and the staff was able to give me a great deal so, I could upgrade my system. I always get great service at this location. You guys rock, keep up the great work!
Experiencia negativa: So I come to this GameStop somewhat frequently as it is the one closest to my house and after several unpleasant experiences I’m finally over it. It’s so unfortunate that the store closest to me has the worst customer service from one specific employee named John a guy with longer tied up dark hair. I hesitate going to this store because it seems every time I walk in I’m pressured to buy something and get out quickly. From the moment I walked in this time he barked and me asking what I was looking for. I told him the game, he confirmed the price but did not ask me anything afterward just sent me to look at the rest of the games along on the wall. I assumed they just had it so proceeded to browse the games for fun. When it was my turn to pay he immediately asked for my number not even acknowledging my previous inquiry about the game or even a “hello” “thanks for waiting”. Then I realized he had pulled it out without confirming that he had it. He then pressured me into getting a pro membership with a really pushy attitude. I paid for the game and left. It’s like every time I go in there I’m met with a rude attitude even when sometimes I’d just like to browse what they have. Most times I go, John is there but when he isn’t it’s a much more pleasant experience. I don’t think anyone likes to be pressured while they are shopping but this guy does it every time. I’ve gotten to the point where I just order on Amazon because something as simple as shopping for a video game feels so hostile. I really hope this guy changes his attitude and works on his customer service because I feel bad that customers have to deal with employees like that. The downside of all of this is that it’s actually a nice clean store in a nice shopping center. I just feel so uncomfortable when I go.

I ask the guy working if they have nba 2k the special edition he says that they don’t carry them only when the game is released. So he says that he would look at another store who has it. Then I show him that the website says it’s at that store he looks in the back then comes back and opens a drawer and it’s filled with the game I wanted. So he says just show me the deal on the GameStop website and “I can do it this time” smh. My phone had died so I tell him just give me the regular edition and he tries to charge me 60 instead of 20$. Do yourself a favor and order online these guys get off by making your life hard. I feel bad for the guy his job is so bad he feels the need to treat customers with so much disrespect. With a huge smile behind his mask whenever I asked a question just trying to annoy me. So if you see the guy with long hair and glasses do yourself a favor and turn around. No wonder these places are going out of business I’ll take my money and time to target/Walmart
