Experiencia negativa: I went in this particular GameStop, and mind you it was my 1st time being in this store, and I asked for help. There were 3 to 4 associates working at the time. I was told I needed to wait for a particular employee to get finished helping with another customer because they basically had one register open. And that was fine by me but the problem was that I was on a transportation bus and time was very limited for me. Now as I'm looking they have other registers. So I ended up waiting 15 minutes and I had to leave because of my bus had to leave. This made me very upset because I feel that if you have 4 associates working in the store and especially if they are all hanging around the counter area next to me then the store should open up another register to help out with other customers. So I was not helped at all! This GameStop really sucks and the employees do too. It like they could care less to actually help me.

Experiencia negativa: I would actually give a lower score if I could but the guy behind counter told me to shut up I was on his time and I was wasting his time by telling him I wasn't interested in the extras that he was trying to promote... he proceeded to tell me to shut up twice... I would give you a name but he wasn't in dress code nor did he have a badge with a name.

Experiencia negativa: The guy Jake there accused me of lying about opening my slabbed PSA graded Pokémon cards when I went there to try and sell them. Mind you these cards were sent in for grading THROUGH GAMESTOP. Why would I open 8-9 grades of cards I paid to have sent in through GAMESTOP?!? Very offensive. I went and sold them at another GameStop no problem shortly after (receipt proof). Little to Jake’s knowledge I am a heavily invested shareholder of GameStop and this complaint will not stop here as this is in no way the type of people we need representing this great company. Shame on you JAKE.

Experiencia fantástica: JORDAN IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST! I’ve been in this store quite a few times and each time has been a wonderful experience! Jordan has gone above and beyond every time to make sure I could find exactly what I’m looking for or better!! I always have so many questions and he always answers them all with ease! He’s extremely kind, patient, respectable and makes sure customers are satisfied to the best of his ability! This GameStop has an amazing team and the best family friendly environment! Experiencia negativa: Bought a "new" game for my nephew. When I took the game out of the bag to wrap the present, I noticed that it was either used or a "new" copy that didn't have the factory shrink wrap on it. I clearly didn't want to give this to my nephew so pivoted. I went back to the store to explain the situation to the manager (who was both uncharacteristically condescending for an individual employed at GameStop), and had the audacity to essentially call me a liar as well. I was so offended, is this what GameStop promotes as acceptable behavior? Incredibly rude and unprofessional. Made false accusations that I will be escalating beyond "his" store. I told the employee to review the footage, as I know what he gave me (I have to take his word for it that he reviewed footage, says he pulled it out of a certain drawer but won't show me the footage and this doesn't prove anything). TLDR; I'm sold a game that was supposedly new (but wasn't), and what should have been a simple return due to their negligence evolves into me, not ever shopping at a GameStop again. Complete scam, lowest of the low, avoid at all costs!

Experiencia negativa: I went there to trade in a couple old phones as my husband and I got the latest versions. I was told the trade system was down and they couldn't do it. I had a feeling that wasnt the case and the employee just didn't want to do it. Called the following day to see if said system was back up and while he said it was...he then said he could only take 1 phone a day. I have done this before and knew that wasn't true. I called the Milford location and the gal working there was super sweet and told me the systems were never down and she could absolutely do both in one transaction. I went to Milford. They were wonderful. This man at this location was very clearly just lazy!

Experiencia negativa: Went in to get Shiny Miraidon/Koraidon code and Jake told us it was only 1 code per group, not per customer, which was not true at all. Since my girlfriend and I were only allowed 1 code between the two of us, I had to go to another Gamestop and it was 1 per customer, not per group like Jake said. Honestly, it should be limit 2 per customer since it's 2 different legendaries if you own both games. You should make sure all your employees are on the same page for this kind of promotion and dont let them make up their own arbitrary rules.

Experiencia negativa: I don’t normally leave reviews, but this experience sucked. Store is unorganized, cashier talked in an almost condescending way, and the 20% off used games wasn’t given. I bought two games and paid full price despite the huge “20% off used games” poster, then when I checked out the lady swapped the game branded case for a generic game stop one. Overall just not a good vibe, paid more than I should’ve, got a swapped case despite handing her a normal one, and talked down to the whole time. Not a great vibe and honestly wont be coming back to this location.

Experiencia negativa: I gave it two days for this to be corrected before deciding to leave this review.. I was very hesitant about purchasing a used xbox...first thing I did was call the store to speak with someone directly about any questions I had regarding the purchase, return policy, condition of the used or refurbished xbox units available, etc...I called and talk to Jake, he was polite-ish enough answering my questions..when asked which was the better option between used or refurbished, he said used...mistakenly trusting this, I asked him if I was able to purchase it over the phone..he told me that I had to go online and order it that way..which I thought was strange but did so anyway after letting him know I would be submitting it within the hour and please pick me out a "clean" used xbox..well..... I purchase it online as I was told, my husband picks it up. When it arrives, I am instantly disgusted with the filthy condition of the item..it was gross. Brown from dirt, I literally had to wipe it down before deciding to touch it further..so after doing that; I hook it up...it runs so incredibly slow..I understand this is a used and older item (xbox one, which we already own one but wanted another) anyway..if all this wasn't bad enough, the xbox had all the previous owners information on it, plus another persons account..so the employees sold me a disgusting xbox with the previous owners account information still in the game. I was shocked. Not only would I never trust selling them anything ever again...it gets worse.. When I paid online like I was instructed to do by Jake, I pay 203.78...right after I receive this nasty item with unbearably slow performance, the previous owners information and all their loaded games, I go to the store immediately to return the item. They cannot seem to match the return price I paid online to the correct dollar amount in their system which I understand from my experience in retail so told them that its OK if its a few dollars less than the 203.78 or not exact bc I get it. Anyway they can't figure it out so ultimately after calling the DM, they all decide that there is an online deal, and an in-store deal and the outcome of the return would be 184.66....needless to say I am not happy about this entire horrible experience. They completely ripped me off $20+ after being TOLD by Jake to go online to purchase their IN-STORE item..then returned the nasty thing the SAME DAY and they actually had the audacity to refuse to honor the return for the amount(or dollars close to) that I had just paid for it less than 2 hours prior. I will never be back. I filed a complaint which I was expecting to hear from the higher up about but after giving it a few days and they decide to ignore addressing and correcting this absurd incident, here I am. I have worked and understand thoroughly the retail process and this was handled so poorly, I have never had a worse experience at any other retail location ever. If it wasn't bad enough, Jake proceeded to compare the purchase to something like ordering a "buy one get one" and trying to do a return to get more money back than what I paid. Completely insulting and actually a very ignorant comment considering I paid 203.78 for an item I picked up from this store after being told to do so online by this stores employee, then they refuse to refund me the amount I paid bc they couldnt figure out how to do it so decided that a refund of 184.66 was good enough for them. Kelly was helping and did her best trying to do the right thing but ultimately Jake decided he would insult me by accusing me of trying to get more money returned than what i paid and ripped me off $20 instead. Good luck buying or selling from this place and make sure that you remove all your personal information from anything you sell them.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely unacceptable behavior. My friends and I had a simple question about an item, and instead of receiving a basic, respectful response, we were mocked. One of the employees literally laughed at us, told us to come to the door just so he could continue laughing, and held up a handwritten sign on regular paper — as if that was some professional way to communicate that the item was out of stock. The immaturity and unprofessionalism were staggering. Instead of handling a basic customer inquiry with decency, they chose to belittle paying customers for their own entertainment. It’s honestly pathetic behavior. Safe to say I’ll never return. If you’re looking for a real game and card shop with an actual selection and people who don’t get their kicks from embarrassing customers, I highly recommend the card and game store in Amelia. Not only is their inventory better, but so is their respect for basic human decency.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to this location for the switch 2 release, and all of the employees were very helpful, kind and polite. They bought pizza and drinks for everyone who was waiting in line and a special shoutout to Zach who made what is usually a very boring event a lot more fun and bearable. Experiencia negativa: Rude employee, absurd prices. Although I do prefer not being acknowledged walking in, the individual still didn't acknowledge me after I approached them until I said something even though I made my presence known by intentionally scuffing my feet as I was walking up. They had one earphone in, probably a work related thing. Then they did not acknowledge my question until after about 45 seconds of silence which made me feel like I was wrong and a burden for asking anything. The used copy of the Harry Potter game ended up being only $5 less than it would have been while new even though it didn't even have a case. The only reason I went through with the purchase is to avoid giving money to JK Rowling. Way to go, Michael. While I do understand that you don't control the prices, you do control your attitude. Unacceptable performance. Experiences like this are a leading factor in why GameStop continues to be my last option for purchasing any products.

Experiencia positiva: If you get a controller make sure you get the warranty so you can walk in and get a brand new one off the shelf when you start having problems. They also let you rebuy the warranty for around 8 dollars so you can repeat the process. Everyone was nice the times I've gone here

Experiencia negativa: Store was a mess, I understand inventory coming in, but wow! We were greeted when we walked in, but the next customer was inquiring about PS5s. The gentleman behind the counter, which I assume was the manager, was training a new employee and was rude to the customer. He was older and didn't quite understand the difference between the PS5 disc and digital or the difference with the God of War Bundle or a basic. The manager said "Well you tell me!". Definitely won't go back to this location.

Experiencia negativa: Do not for any reason ever buy a used product from here, they do not work, and they do not guarantee them regardless of what it says on the bag. Your items are only guaranteed if you purchase a warranty. I exchange the controller for one they guaranteed to work and within three days it did not. Now I have to pay to exchange it garbage.

Experiencia positiva: Sales Associate was not interested in helping me (I can be A LOT, I am aware of this). I asked about Xbox One remotes, accessories, and Nintendo Switch games. He just pointed, and spoke so softly I couldn't hear him. Store was not empty, but not busy. Idk he might've had a rough day; or maybe I'm older than I realize. I've always worked in customer service & I believe that it is an actual service provided by employees. Has this concept gone with newer technology & less interaction with others, COVID-19, or time? That does not mean the customer is always right, it's helping a mom find a game her child wants or would like, it's anticipating your customers needs, it's pointing them in the right direction if that's what they needed. And it's all done with a smile on your face, even if the customer is not nice. **IMHO it's a regular video store without any excitement or even signs of life - feels cold. I was not treated horribly, it's just the past few visits have felt that way
