Fantastic experience: second time coming to this place with my kiddo because the first time was nothing but nostalgia! What a great place! For the first time today we decided to open our first ever purchased pack of Pokémon cards together... Not knowing what we had other than a Charizard nor worth after opening we brought them back up front to be evaluated. Little did we know the super cool staff assisted and Jaws dropped as we brought our cards up now learning we had a card valued over $600! Pictures were taken, all of the staff and bystanders were in aww... What a moment! Thank you to all of the great staff making this special moment forever memorable!

Fantastic experience: This is one of the best shops in fort Collins, They are an amazing staff, and have one of the nicest employees, I have seen. There shop is clean and amazing, and their commander nights are pretty inviting, and some players there are great with new players, if you see myself, Ill always be kind. The prices on cards and bundles sets in a world of scalpers seem fair and not too jacked up in this day in age.

Negative experience: The employees here are lazy and manipulative. At one visit an employee lied about a scratched 4k disc, saying it was just a hair so when I got home and it didn't work, I had to bring it back for store credit despite the employee lying about selling broken items. Another time, I was looking at used consoles and a different employee gave me the wrong power cord so I had to come back to get the right one and when I was there, I asked if the other cables or anything else needed switching out as well and he just ignored me and walked away. Sure enough, they gave me the wrong kind of controller which was much older and was not sold with the ps4 pro.

Fantastic experience: Place is super sick, really lively and tons of stuff to look at and buy, prices are extremely fair ESPECIALLY for pokemon, anyone looking for pokemon this is the spot, great selection and fantastic prices, super nice and cool staff too

Negative experience: Huge loss of sale today for them, and huge loss of future business coming from me. Picked out 4 cards coming to a sticker price total of $606, I offered $585 (almost 97%, which is overly reasonable offer considering I was looking at about $50 in tax that I wouldn't at a card show), and instead of moving a single dollar the guy said only the owner can negotiate. I've been in many times and negotiated with many different employees before so knowing he was just flat lying to me for no apparent reason, I walked out and took my future business with me.

Fantastic experience: Been buying my Warhammer stuff and some old games from here. My interactions with the workers has been great

Negative experience: Will not be buying games from this establishment again. No refunds, only in store credit. Baught a game and the disc is damaged and I tried to clean it. I Called them and they said thier is no refund policy. At Least with game stop they would test discs before selling them.

Fantastic experience: Games Ahoy has been my go-to gaming store in Ft. Collins. They have console and trading card games, space tou free play both, and the staff is always helpful.

Positive experience: Awesome store. Perfect for nerds. But things are pretty pricey. A booster pack for Pokemon ( that's like 3 sets back) were 12 bucks a piece. I get that there's a scalping problem but it's a booster pack not a ETB. There are some games that are outrageously expensive and a some of there plushies run like 40 bucks. It's actually insane. Be careful with what you buy because there's a lot that's pricey. There MTG boosters are a great buy. I love there selection of treats and drinks (which are well priced). The staff is sweet, knowledge, and super respectful. I'm pretty shy and feel very comfortable interacting with staff. The environment is awesome. There's a big community for MTG. Definitely a place to check out, we will be back!

Fantastic experience: I don’t usually leave feedback, but I recently arrived to Cheyenne and was looking for a place that had Pokemon TCG. Although there are some places in Cheyenne they are very limited. I found this place on google and took the drive…first time there and first impressions were great. Vibe was on point..arcades to play and a wide selection of games, Pokemon…etc…Ryan greeted me and most importantly let me be…I hate going into shops where you feel all eyes are on you! Seemed to be in the back they had people playing MTG / Pokemon / or just relaxing/trading. I ended up buying a binder, the Salamence EX box (5 surging and 5 DR PACKS) and an Inferno X booster box. Didn’t get my money back but had some decent pulls (see photo). With that shout to Ryan…I will be sure to visit again. Thanks.

Fantastic experience: Got back into Pokemon card collecting this year and what an intimidating time to do so! Kyle though has been so awesome with answering all my questions, providing advice, and overall great customer service. Everyone there has always been great, but shoutout to Kyle for being so welcoming and kind!

Fantastic experience: After a detailed conversation with a manager, my son whose mild cognitive disability keeps him from driving. He is a race car fan since birth, loves vintage cars and loves Jesus. He was shunned by local churches for not driving , and they felt it was God's will to force him to drive. Anyway he told his story and how we struggle, and he'd love a Xbox x series, with the cost of console, game and gold live play , it would have been hundreds. To the gentlemen, who donated a console, we are grateful. He got his 100.00 together, picked up system , digital game and Xbox live. Raced the night away. Thank you for being a compassionate individual, who blessed my son. He is driving now. The local churches could learn alot about kindness. THANK YOU from a worn out Mom , who tries to do so much and keep my high functioning special needs son . Happy and well rounded. Thank you .

Negative experience: Was there a couple days ago with my brother. I personally didn't have any problems other then the poor customer service while I waited patiently at the counter to look at the cards. My brother however had very poor service, being sold extremely overpriced cards and not even being allowed to get a refund when he found out he could've gotten the cards he got for much cheaper. This is a great insult to card collectors.

Fantastic experience: Been here a couple times, and even played in. Smash tournament one time as well. All times have been pleasant. As someone into gaming his whole life, it’s a cozy store. I’ve gotten back into retro games recently and this place has been great for that. Most things are priced fairly as long as you account that they have slightly higher prices than say, eBay, but that is because they have to deal with more overhead. The advantage here, is the game will be automatically authenticated and you don’t have to risk the game going through the mail system and getting lost. It’s right in your hand when you buy it and you can play it that day. Overall very happy, fair prices, friendly staff, interesting products and good retro selection, I’ll be coming back whenever I want more games. Or to lose another game tournament!

DEFINITELY buy cards here - you're getting fair market value and supporting a local business that truly cares about the community. The staff members are absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable. This place gets five stars from me - one for the amazing game selection, one for the expert staff, one for the fair pricing, one for the community events, and one for being way more than just a store. The video games, TCG collectibles, plushies, and events create an incredible atmosphere. This isn't just a store, it's a community hub where collectors and gamers can connect. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Used to be a. Good clean place to play mtg, tabletop games and to shop. Now it is not family friendly. There are models of naked anime girls all over now. Makes it uncomfortable to be at.

Fantastic experience: I had called in a head of time to see if they had what I needed in stock. They kindly reserved the items without having to ask them and they assisted me with great service as I was with my child. Excellent store and their selection is second to none. I will be back.

Positive experience: Overall a very pleasant store. A decent selection and a fun place to kill some extra time. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful, and where the 3 stars come from is the portion of the staff that isn’t. Some members treat customers as a lower being, almost as if they are inferior and not worth the time. To the stores credit, this is not the majority case and has only happened a handful of visits. As someone that works in customer service, the vibe that the employees give off can truly shape a customers experience. When you visit this location, it’s a flip of a coin.

Fantastic experience: Went in to resolve an issue with a game I had purchased and as soon as I did a rush started. The lone employee (I'm pretty sure his name was Russ) not only managed to resolve my issue and work through the entire line, he even found a way to sell me on additional game purchases. On top of all that it was "Donkey Kong Day" so I got a free banana, 5/5 will have to start frequenting more often.

They have the largest selection of classic and new video games and collectibles. Even if anything is marked up i’m more than happy to be supporting such an amazing store. They also have great events. Positive experience: Bought a set of headphones from Games Ahoy. Tried them on, figured out they didn't fit me well, just too small. Went to return them two days later in original packaging, no tears, no missing items. Was told the store only issues store credit. Asked if they had any headphones that might fit better - they didn't. Asked if they could order some in. They couldn't. I recommend buying from any other retailer, just for a better return policy. Bestbuy, Amazon, eBay, ECT can all handle returns. Edit to update: they got me taken care of with a cash refund,miscommunications happen. Seems like a nice store.

Negative experience: I recently bought a play station 4 at this place and it ended up not working. It worked for one day then the next day it would not load anything and kept popping up with error. When I tried to get my money back for an unworkable system they told me that I wouldn’t be getting it back but instead have points!!!…. Why would I want points after spending 198 dollars. Definitely not worth it don’t buy anything like that there because you will not be getting your money back

Positive experience: Good place for the vintage gamer

Negative experience: Buyers beware, scalpers on "new items" with no return policy even with receipts or even same day. You hope the boss will have pity on you otherwise you won't get money back or exchange

Fantastic experience: This place is great. I have gone here for magic nights and for the magic the gathering packs. Staff is awesome and are always interacting. I'm 15 and they still treat me with respect. It's so fun every time I go there. I also got these great pulls on Sunday from their packs. (Textured foil mana drain and a foil radiant lotus)

Fantastic experience: Went to VinCon this year with my daughter. We had a great time. Constructive criticism is that I ordered VIP tickets and there was a huge confusion about the swag bags on the website it said including a drawstring bag and unfortunately they weren’t included this year. I believe clarity on what you can get for the price you pay is important. I also believe having more staff as there was a huge turnout which was so cool, but another thing that was mentioned was skipping the line. We still had to stand in line to get in. You all did an amazing job an applaud you. Just wish those few things could change next time around. Thank you

Positive experience: Good magic playroom. Good selection of magic cards and precons. I can't speak to much else. Best game store in Fort Collins for magic.

Negative experience: Bought two Pokemon ETB’s today and let’s just say either we’re one in a million or they are tampering with packs. Would not recommend buying cards here. Google receipts and photos of the pulls from 18 packs. Total pull value $6, and Absolutely deplorable. I’m never giving them another dime. I’d ask for a refund but I’d rather just cut my losses here than give them money. Don’t waste your time. Also to top it off the employees have to be approached to receive any help. Have the day you deserve games ahoy!

Positive experience: The staff are still very friendly and they have a great selection, but the lack of prices on a large portion of the stock often makes it very difficult to shop here. You have to ask for help far too often and it takes a long time for the staff to look up the price for that day. They need an easier way to handle this (website price lookup?) or more stable prices that can be posted on all the stock.

Fantastic experience: Such a warm environment even if you're not going to play games you will still have so much fun. The people who work there are passionate about what they do, and it rubs off on you. They have a huge collection of classic and modern games and tons of memorabilia. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: One of the better games ahoy I’ve gone to Guy upfront was super reassuring about the pokemon games authenticity and even showed me how to know if there real or not picked up pokemon fire red for GBA (first store I’ve found with it in stock) and there selection for other consoles was huge as well definitely coming here more often now!

Fantastic experience: Over the last couple of months I’ve found at all three Games Ahoy locations in order to collect long lost games, retro consoles and obscurities that were released well before my time. Today I had gone back to replace the second disc on a copy of MSG(PS1) that was purchased back in April of this year. No questions asked the guys quickly got to work, buffing and testing a new set of discs for me. I just got home and sure enough, disc 2 is booted up and ready to rip. If you’re looking at jumping into retro gaming or just collecting an old piece for the nostalgia, Games Ahoy is the best local shop around. Thank you for the support!

Fantastic experience: Huge store there. They have everything you could think of to do with any kind of gaming unbelievable. Unbelievable from the cards, little trinket. Pins to gaming machines and they have, very knowledgeable. Customer service employees Ready to help you very convenient parking. You can buy and sell there. They are busy a lot of the time, so you may have to wait.But then that allows you to explore their store. Try them out.I'm sure you're like.Especially with the holidays coming.

Negative experience: I can't shop at a place that doesn't have prices on their games. The owner won't allow his employees to price games over $50. Those just happen to be the games I want. I'm not waiting for a long call to the owner.

Fantastic experience: The staff are very friendly, and are eager to answer questions. The store has a wide selection of games, has free play arcade cabinetsin the front, and has space in the back to host local game groups. If you like video games, table top games, or nerd culture it's a great store to visit.

Fantastic experience: Lots of cool stuff, and a good place to go for older games, like PS1 and PS2 titles. Their prices on older games are pretty optimistic (seriously, ya'll never selling that copy of Etrian Odyssey 3 for that much, even after it being in the case about a year now). But other than some unlikely prices on collectibles, they're a good store, and WAY better than Game Stop.

Fantastic experience: Attended a Lorcana event there this past weekend and it was well run. Organized, clean, AC was running, had some music playing, and the prize support was awesome for the entry paid. I will be making that 2.5 hour drive up again for events like that one.

Fantastic experience: Micah made our first trip in to the store a great experience! He was eager to help our son search for and select Pokémon cards for his collection. He was knowledgeable, welcoming, and friendly. Great spot with a great selection. We left the store with something for everyone and a wishlist for the future!

Fantastic experience: My ps2 had a broken laser and would no longer read some discs. These guys not only helped me verify my diagnosis, but were able to find me the part to repair it along with great advice on how to do said repair. Unrelated to my recent experience, they've always done a great job with helping me and others find what we're looking for and are always friendly and professional.

Fantastic experience: I love Games Ahoy, the atmosphere is always so nice and they have a great range of products. For trade ins they always have fair prices to give you, whether its for cash or in store credit, i never felt like they tried to rip me off when I sold old games I don't use anymore. They're definitely better than other mainstream game shops and I'll miss them when I move to another state.

Fantastic experience: I'm obsessed with how many pins they have. They're super cute and the people there are always extremely extremely nice. Brought a lot of my old stuff there and they take a few days to go through it and they gave me good prices on everything. I just got in-store credit. That'll probably take me a year to use up. 10/10

Negative experience: "A great collection of games." Most everything is priced ABOVE online pricing. The big fish in a small pond effect. Always busy even weekdays. Staff are usually busy chatting with thier buddies. You have to grab someone to get thier attention. This location is thier largest store of the 3. I would drive 90 miles from out of state. And I used to love going here. Now I drive another 40 to 60 miles farther to avoid it. Go online and get the exact same prices for games. Or go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: This game store has just about a little bit of everything. As a gamer since 1986, my eyes were watering being surrounded by nostalgia. They even have like 6 arcade units along a wall. This is a must visit for any gamer in the local area.

Fantastic experience: I just recently had a bad experience with gamestop online. I knew about games ahoy for a long time but never knew they opend up a location in FoCo three years ago. So i dont have to drive to loveland anymore which is a plus! Anyway, Amy was kind enough to do a trade in with me and after we were done i was curious if they had the game i was trying to get with gamestop. Sure enough they had it! Brand new too which was a huge plus. Thank you Amy and Games Ahoy for a great experience!

Fantastic experience: One of the best game stores I have ever been to. This place reminds me of what GameStop felt like as a kid, buying trading and rebuying other peoples used games! They have merch, they have card games, they have dnd stuff, they have collectibles, they have games you played decades ago, they have games you played yesterday. They do “midnight” releases. They give out coupons. I cannot fully state my joy living near this place. Amazing store and VERY knowledgeable staff. Love it love it love it.
