Positive experience: The selection of games and collectibles is impressive, and the staff is usually pretty knowledgeable and helpful. However, I've noticed that it can get a bit crowded, making it hard to get assistance sometimes. Overall, a decent experience if you're looking for gaming gear.
Negative experience: I asked the guy with the glasses behind the counter if i could inspect a gold GBA locked behind glass. He was acting very strange and apprehensive about letting me inspect the item before purchasing. Eventually he said just this one time, he’ll let me and that he’ll meet me over by where the item was locked. He continued to stand behind the counter talking to his friend for another good ten minutes. I just walked out smh.

Negative experience: This gamestop is usually okay but I recently went in to buy three games and went I went home I opened the game and I was missing a game and when I try calling the store they don’t answer for anything like how to not answer your phone .
Fantastic experience: Jechua is the man. He was super helpful and nice and should absolutely win employee of the month.
Fantastic experience: Jechua was great, he helped me buy a new Nintendo switch, renew my pro membership, get the two year warranty and submit all 32 of my Pokemon cards for grading (and they were all gold Lucarios!!) he also jumped across the counter and leaped up to top stock to get me a riff master for my Xbox! He’s the most nonchalant dread head I’ve ever seen, thank you for all of your help
Fantastic experience: I always go there to buy video games and that's where I brought my PlayStation portal.
Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Lenard who rang me out didn’t open my console and it was opened to be completely damaged. Manager inspected it and said it should have been opened before selling as it was completely damaged and gross. Lenard had an awful attitude and should refrain from customer service jobs if he is going to be rude to consumers over his own laziness.

Negative experience: Literally standing in line for about 8 minutes currently with Pokémon cards in hand. Both employees are talking to the same customer about how much they like trading in Nintendo Switches. Hopefully someone will acknowledge me before this review. Can confirm they did not and I left the cards on a random shelf.

There’s a young man called Yeshua (I don’t know if I spelt it correctly) with blonde dreads, he’s absolutely amazing, gave me all the information I needed and more. Would come here again!

Negative experience: I was about to pick stuff up but the staff were getting pissed at the guy in front of me for not signing up for the membership and straight up lying about the price...
Negative experience: When I visited this GameStop location, the store felt completely empty — almost like a ghost town. There were no employees visible at the front counter, and we weren’t greeted upon entering. After waiting for a few minutes, we noticed the employee sitting in the back of the store, not assisting customers or preparing for closing. Another customer came in and even asked if we worked there, since no staff were around. That customer eventually found the employee and asked about a product. The employee initially said they didn’t sell it, only to realize afterward that they actually did. The customer chose not to complete their purchase and left — I later saw the same customer at another electronics store, giving them their business instead. When the employee mentioned that the store closed at 10 p.m., I said, “Oh, I thought you closed at 9.” He just stared at me with a blank expression before responding sarcastically, “If we did, we’d be closed by now.” Moments later, he seemed to realize the store actually does close at 9. It was clear he was unaware of his store’s actual hours or closing procedures, especially since closing time was only a few minutes away and he wasn’t ready at all. Overall, the experience felt very unprofessional and unorganized. The lack of attentiveness and poor customer service left a negative impression. This occurred on Saturday, October 18 (night shift) — the employee was a dark-skinned male with blonde dreads.
Negative experience: Kept pressuring for me to start a membership, normally it’s bad enough but this place was annoying

Negative experience: They forgot to remove the rfid tags from the clothes I bought. Tags exploded when I tried to remove them. Got locked out of their website and customer support said they would call me back in the next 8 hours or to hang up and try again later.

Fantastic experience: Providence Place Mall GameStop is the best. They really care about their customers and go the extra mile for their regulars. I would highly recommend this location above all. Manager Butch is fantastic and my favorite employee is Scott. This is the only GameStop I go to, as they are really appreciative of their customers.

He was really outgoing and seemed really knowledgeable about everything, and even listed other stores we could go to for things that aren’t at gamestop. Great experience!

If you wish to save money go to literally any other place. eBay has one hundred percent cheaper than this store, and at least they have a better return policy other than this trash place. The company is there to screw you and not give you deals remember that.

Positive experience: Super close to me which makes it extremely convenient, especially during the holiday season. As always, the holiday decor is exquisite and Santa's photo shop is Lovely!! The one disappointing thing for me is the continued limited hours. Especially on black Friday! I thought for sure that the stores would at least open by 6 A.M. following suit with Target & Walmart....I was wrong....the stores in the mall didn't open until 9:00 A.M. with the exception of Apple which opened @ 8:00 A.M. and as always Macy's & Boscov's was open to shoppers prior to my arrival @ 7:15 A.M. I can't provide you with an exact time these stores open there doors/ but I can advise you to find out the stores current hours of operation. In a post pandemic world, all the rules have changed; previous standards for holiday shopping no longer exist; so be sure to. triple check your info to avoid added frustrations of misguided accommodations! Negative experience: If your going to pretend to take COVID seriously then actually do that! You created a long ridiculous line of customers waiting to get inside your store, but you let two customers go in completely without a mask and another customer had their mask pulled down to their chin while shopping. In the meantime only one employee working the register, which created another long line once inside the shop corralling all the customers now to the center of the shop just waiting to check out. What should have taken 5 minutes to pickup for an order that was placed and paid for online ended up taking 45 minutes.

Negative experience: I'm rating the individuals that work here but I'm rating the stuff in which these individuals sell .see i had bought a refurbished ps4 controller and about a few days later i needed to return it now that I've gotten the 2nd refurbished controller its also not working right cause now it won't turn off and they never seem to have one in stock and if you want one you have to travel miles to get a new one ( hate to tell you guys not everyone drives) so now in order to get a replacement i have to send in the only controller i own and wait 7 to 10 days to get it shipped to me such bull maybe you shouldn't be selling anything refurbished cause I've only had problems with them.I changed my rating to one star because it seems that all their refurbished products are garbage

Negative experience: I have consistently had the worst experiences at this location. The staff I have interacted with have mocked me for my game selections, laughed at me when I’ve inquired about release dates and most recently both laughed at and mocked for picking up something I had preordered. These items were supposed to arrive over a month ago and I have yet to get a call, come to find they had one half of my order but still hadn’t received the second half. What’s the point of preordering then if I wasn’t guaranteed the items on (or at the very least near) their release date? I don’t even want the rest of my order anymore frankly if it means I don’t have to go back there ever again
