Negative experience: I sold a PS5 to them, the staff was friendly and quick. The only thing that bothers me is that they put the 20s in paper clips and assumed I would not count it, but because that was odd I counted the money immediately in front of them and they shorted me $20 in one of the bundles. They did gave me the missing $20 almost too fast. Seems suspicious first the paper clips, second missing money and third how prepared the clerk was with the missing $20.

Fantastic experience: Come here if you want great deals on physical media, especially for television shows. Helpful service AND they clean the discs at checkout.

Positive experience: As someone who only visits Madison on occasion, this place was worth the visit. They had a lot of stuff and found almost all that I would have wanted. Got myself games and a console for great price as well as some CD's I had been looking for. The staff was nice and willing to help which really made the experience better. Everything worked but one of the CD's had the wrong one in it and they could do better at making sure the games and consoles are clean on the outside, not just the inside of cartages. Personally don't like having other peoples "residue," in lack of a better term, on stuff that I buy. I get that it is used so it can be expected, but to me it is new, so I feel it would make the experience way better on a customer standpoint. Take it from someone who has worked in retail for over a year and a half, while it might be a hassle to you, getting the gratification that a customer got what they needed and was satisfied, that is a reward in itself. All-in-all I recommend stopping buy if you are in the area, whether just looking for a movie, CD, or that game you gotta have.

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience shopping here. With media becoming so broken by streaming services it's great to see a store with so much physical media. Also they do have a great selection of classic and retro titles for way better prices then Ebay or other online sites retro collectibles. Manage to get a box for a really old PC game and a Xbox 360 controller that feels like it's brand new. Would definitely go back when I need more anime or another controller.

Hard to believe I've had that thing for 20 years already. Also after purchasing a Gameboy game. I went home and realized the battery was dead. I came in the next day and they fixed it.

Positive experience: Great selection of older video games and consoles which is fun. I have recently began buying physical media again and I've found a lot of great things here. That said, I feel like I have a 5-10% return rate where a disk has some issues. They always buff it out to try and make it work and give you extra time to bring it back if there are still issues. So no problems with the customer service. Just the nature of buying used. Sometimes you get good ones and sometimes you don't. They give you 7 days from purchase to test the disks out and return them for store credit if there are issues. I've yet to have a problem and their staff is always eager to help.

Negative experience: Edit 2 (1-14-25) This is a new store, new name, new staff, new owners. So, basically disregard my review for this location. Will probably just end up deleting it sometime soon. Since what I had written below was from like 3+ years ago. —————————————————————————— Edit: I’m pretty sure someone that worked there read my review because now on their return policy it now mentions defective items being the only thing that can be returned. Realizing that if someone were to sue or something for their money back (if they spent a lot) the person would win lmao. They need to clarify the return policy on the receipts... and around the store. Bought a game and when I read the return policies I thought okay so if I don’t like it then I can return it, swap it out with a different game with the same value and or get a store credit. Nope. Not how it works apparently. The game needs to be defective in order to return. But yet on the receipt and on some of the signs in the store it literally says “All returns will be swapped for the same item (or an item if equal value). Returns will be issued in store credit only!!! 30 days for game consoles, 7 days for for all else!!” Saying this doesn’t mean that the item has to be DEFECTIVE. Wasted my time coming back. Wasted like $20 on a used game that wasn’t really good... not saying I won’t come back but it’ll be a long time before I do just because some of their signs are misleading... plus how about you guys explain the return policies while checking people out. The past times I been here no one would do that... felt like I wasted my money here...

Fantastic experience: Nathan was awesome. Brought in my ps2 to get looked at and as a retro gamer my heart was beating out of my chest because it didn't want to work. The guys were super helpful calming me down and Nathan tested my system for me while I calmed down to find what was wrong. It was a very simple fix and I was very excited. Roger and Nathan went super far and beyond helping me out I can't thank them enough. I was even able to purchase a n64. A game system I had looked for for a long time and it was in good condition. These guys really know their retro games and how to help. Keep up the good work guys. Managers/owners these guys def deserve a raise and praise for how they help their customers

Positive experience: The website could be a bit more transparent about the products each store buys,sells, and trades pretty pricey if they had less then 8 employees at 12 am on a Monday maybe prices would be more reasonable.

Negative experience: This store sold me a completely defective controller for the GameCube, while also selling offbrand third-party controllers passing them off as first party ones to increase the price. If you're going to shop here, be extremely diligent in what you purchase. UPDATE: I want to point out that the store has a 7 day return policy for all of it's *tested* electronics, of which this is one of them, apparently. This sadly won't help me. I was in town on vacation with my fiance, and live over two hours away. My loss. Upon opening the controller, it was found that the motherboard was broken in HALF. Not just a crack, but broken.

Negative experience: I went into to trade into some games. I noticed after they tallied everything. I noticed red dead was charged as a normal copy instead of collector metal case. The difference is about $25 between the regular and metal case. They told me that they did 40% on everything. I did my own counting from Price Charting when I got home and saw they offer less then they mention. It was closer to 20%. I probably won’t be selling anything to them ever again. I feel like they took advantage of me and robbed me. I wish they showed the total tally. And show you what they are looking at. I was hoping for honesty from them, but it was more like a scummy reseller trying to pull a fast one. This is my experience and I don’t recommend going here. I drove 45 mins to be disappointed. The one thing that they need to do is be more transparent with the customer. They made me feel like I didn’t know anything about games.

Negative experience: took in a box of old DVD from my grandmothers collection after her passing. took us about 6 months to get things sorted out and this was the last thing to take care of. only for all of them to be refused even for a bulk sale do to them being "too rough looking" when inquired further the issue was that there was "too much dust" covering the DvD cases for them to look at them any further and refused a 25 cent per DVD bulk sale. dont bother selling here they will only waste your time.

Negative experience: Stood at the counter for several minutes before any employee acknowledged I was there. I had a stack of Wii games I was interested in but they were all either loose or in poor condition. Every single game was double the CIB pricing. They wanted more for loose Wii games than they are worth complete in box! The employee said they have not updated prices lately but either way that would not make a loose game in poor condition worth more than it is CIB. People overcharging and trying to take advantage of the market is the reason inflation is so bad. Wish I didn't waste my time and gas to visit this store, and I won't be going back. Game presentation on the shelves was good.

Fantastic experience: Had multiple options for the GameCube accessories I was looking for, they were super helpful and friendly. I had my GameCube with and they were happy to make sure it was working after years in storage and make sure my new items worked as well before I left. 10/10 recommend!

Negative experience: They lie about your consoles being broke when you trade them in. Took a perfect PS4 in and they lied to me and said the disc drive was broke. I immediately took my system and left. They tried using the same excuse when I tried selling a PS2 to them. Watch out for the "disc drive isn't working". There sneaky and the lie. I took my stuff 5 minutes down to a different store and got full trade in price on both my consoles. They tested out fully.

Negative experience: I bought a video game system on 12/24 day before Christmas for my son, once we hook the game up it didn’t work at all. I also bought a new controller and video game. When I call in Victor clerk told me I should have clean my game and what type of solution did I use. I’m confused on when I bought the game I didn’t know I would have to clean it to work, which I ask the workers before I bought it did it work and he said yea. But he made sure he told me I couldn’t get my money back. I don’t want my money back I wanted a game that work or in store credit at least. The guy did say I can bring it back and he will fix it but I can’t do instore credit or get money back. I did let him know they will not get anymore service from me, and he said that’s fine. Worst customer service ever. It’s unfortunate when you spend hard working money on a game a day before Christmas and the game don’t work and the owner try’s to make it like your abusing the return policy SMH. But you spent your money on a game system for kid and it don’t work. Now that’s unfortunate to sell broke merchandise.

Positive experience: Still in the process of being redone. Bins of dvds everywhere, empty cases, shelves too close together, no good layout of the store that flowed. If one person was in an aisle, both patrons have to shuffle around each other to get by. Hoping it gets better.

Positive experience: I called ahead to check on PS5 controllers, they had one in stock. It was $10 cheaper than brand new. Also came with a 7 day return policy. Not sure what else to add. The controller works, it was cheaper than brand new. I’d say check here for any entertainment gear before buying new. You have a 7 day warranty I assume. I had a 7 day warrant on my controller. Nothing to complain about. Why only 4/5 stars? Because I didn’t think having a new game item in stock is a holy grail, so 4/5 it is. Don’t get me wrong, it was a great time there. Just didn’t think it was worthy of 5 stars since I didn’t experience much.
