Positive experience: Love this place! Always a fun selection of movies, games, and music. The prices are super reasonable and the guys working there are pretty nice. They can put your info down if you are after certain media and will call you when it comes in. The only issue I’ve ever had is sometimes the music playing in the shop is very… eccentric. It’s given me migraines but that is 100% my issue, not theirs!

Negative experience: This place used to be a wholesome place now they just try to rip you off I've gone in there several times have them quote me a low ball price then get corrected and try to act like it was a mistake on their end I'm tired of going in here trying to sell something that's clearly valued at four times what they want to offer me for store credit avoid this place at all costs it's best to keep your stuff and take Penny hits sad I remember in the store used to care for it people and community now is trying to get a dollar like GameStop

Positive experience: Loads of items for very reasonable prices. A wide variety of formats for music, movies, and games. The only downside is having to get the guy to unlock the cabinets where he'd do one then immediately scurry away. Had to go up 3 separate times to get him. Gave up after that and didn't get the other items I wanted.

Fantastic experience: Great shop for reasonably priced physical copies of used DVDs and CDs. Staff are friendly and will help find items if you can't see what you're looking for. Because items are used, you can't always find the thing you want, but we always come out with something. And we have found rather obscure items we hadn't found anywhere else.

Positive experience: It was good, but could use a better vinyl Blues selection. We did get 3 records and are happy with them. Prices did seem a little high.

Negative experience: I've been going to epic seconds off and on over the years since 1997. That's what? 27 years? I really love the place. And I've spent quite a bit of money in there since I first moved to Eugene after High School. The staff is friendly, mostly knowledgeable and they have a really good selection of movies and games and odd miscellaneous memorabilia. That being said today's experience was a bit of a disappointment. And ultimately I can't say the service was bad or that they necessarily did anything "wrong" per se. But I do think that they could have been a little bit more flexible. I went in in search of an Xbox One x. And it just so happens they have one, priced at $200. I might not have batted an eye at that price, but Ace Buyers half a block away has two for sale. They offer the same 7-Day guarantee. And their systems are $40 cheaper and $30 cheaper. I explained this to the sales person. And I told him that if they could wiggle a bit on the price I'd rather buy the system there because I liked their store much better. He absolutely refused to price match, or come down on the price at all. He said quote "the price is reflective of what we paid for it". Come on: their whole business is based largely, if not entirely, on trade ins. And I've traded in enough stuff to know that they didn't pay anywhere near $200 for that system. Coming down a small amount still would have netted them a profit and it wouldn't have made for a continued happy and loyal customer. That may be the stores policy or not. It may just be this individual but in my opinion it was a little short-sighted. Reducing the price a small amount to be competitive with a nearby store would have been smart business. I would have bought the system, and probably a whole lot of games to go with it. I went in there ready to spend money, and walked out spending nothing. Instead I walked back to Ace buyers and bought their system and a bunch of games. Consider also that I've spent $400 in there in the last 3 weeks alone on a PlayStation 4, games, movies and miscellaneous. So the question is: was an inflexible policy, and $30, worth losing all the money I would have spent moving forward? By losing my business, ultimately they lost a lot more than that $30. Little sad about it. I've so enjoyed shopping in this place over the years and I probably won't go in anymore.

Fantastic experience: We found 3 awesome used games for someone’s birthday. Great location! Close to the bus station. My kids ride the bus to hear all the time. if you’re driving, there’s curb parking right out front.

Fantastic experience: Staff is very friendly. I've found a lot of gems over the years. I generally don't get a large haul each time but I find a lot of things I haven't seen again. They even have accessories for your records! I bought two vintage carrying cases and LOVE them. Pricing is reasonable.

Fantastic experience: Today I sold some CDs and DVDs to this shop. I feel that they offered me a very reasonable price. I have been going to this shop for well over a decade. The staff is pleasant and attentive. My primary interest in this shop is buying used video games, especially from NES up to PS4 era. Sadly, the volume of older games available in the shop has dwindled, but I still run across rarities from time to time. Ocassinally, the price in-store is way better than other retailers. I find that trading in games to be fair for in store credit as well.

Fantastic experience: Best multimedia shop in Eugene by far. Their selection of video games, CDs, vinyl, art, and accessories rotates often enough to keep me coming in regularly. Their trade is super fair and they often take a lot of my stuff. The vibes in there are always good and their employees are chill and helpful. Huge fan of their gallery upstairs.

Fantastic experience: Quite decent local emporium offering very fine arrays of used dvds, cds, and select new and used vinyl disks in all genres of film and music. It pays to search all the bins and densely shelved media very carefully. Great and esoteric array of classical music cds with some real treasures in the mix. Prices for some jazz and rock vinyls a bit on the high side, but the physical condition of rarer albums I coveted was usually quite good and worth the extra bucks. Cleary well-curated troves of used vinyl. Very friendly shop staff. Go Already!

Same staff, the same awesome guy still works there and is always friendly and welcoming, same great vibes. He had some local music playing upstairs and it was really cool to see him supportive local music like that. Support your local stores! Epic Seconds is awesome and I way prefer them to any of the other video game stores. They have a lot more variety and are much friendlier and reasonable with their trades and value for trades. I went to a different one and they were giving me like 50 cents a game, really messed up. Epic Seconds gave me a lot more and I know they will be honest when they resell it and that earns my business every time. Great shop!

Positive experience: I love this place! I love buying Blu-ray movies and their selection is HUGE with a great price range. They also buy/sell/trade games and have a large selection of movie posters, upstairs are the rare posters and they have a lot of them. They have so many more things I can't even list them all, truly epic.

Fantastic experience: Great local shop! Bought an adapter to use out Wii with an HDMI cable and some gamecube supplies, when one of the memory cards we got there today didn't work due to a manufacturer defect, they replaced it with no hassle and now we're gaming in epicness.

Fantastic experience: Favorite media store of all time! The staff are friendly and familiar with nearly everything. The selection will ALWAYS have a favorite of yours, I garuntee it. Once we were talking about how they didnt have a movie and the staff member next to us said "oh we just got that in" and got it out for us. Special edition 2 disk version no less, marked at $10. We watch that movie all the time now. They have a huge selection of games, including the most reasonably priced pokemon games (I'm talking $40 and under!! For good ones! Gameboy ones!! Its amazing) Because people always move in and out they're dumping stuff at this place and its ALWAYS good. Shop here if you want cool stuff from really really nice and chill people!

Fantastic experience: Epic Seconds formerly CD Game Exchange is Awesome!! Ben, the owner operator is super cool. The employees are very cool. The selection and variety of music, games, posters, clothes, art, and other various items are vast and unique. And they have vinyl!! Prices are extremely reasonable. I've been frequenting there since I moved to Eugene 20+ years ago. Check them out, you'll be glad you did.

Positive experience: Unique store with a wide variety of music and formats. You might find an occasional local band demo, or a dvd boxset of that series youve been wanting to revisit. Various records upstairs as well as a good selection of video games, consoles, etc. The cool thing about this place is you can bring in your good condition media to sell or receive store credit. Theres always alot of discounted things there too. So you never know what you might find.

Fantastic experience: Came here earlier today (12/20) and was really surprised at the selection of PS4 games, so I decided to get Watch Dogs 1 and 2 and on top of that the discs look brand new, great job will definitely return in the future

Fantastic experience: Used to be called CD Game Exchange (and maybe something else before that?). They have a good and varied selection of used media (music, movies, games) and select new releases at reasonable prices, as well as posters/art, merch, equipment, etc. One of the few places left around to sell or trade in your own stuff. I think they also sell tickets to local shows and host some small events on site. Epic Seconds remains a great resource for affordable entertainment in the community, we will continue to support this local business when possible.
