Fantastic experience: What an awesome set up. Great staff, tons and tons of tables to set up and play. Crazy cool terrain peices for wargamers too. They also have pretty great prices for used stuff from old school video games to used Warhammer models. And cases and cases of cards. Make sure to check out the gigantic bank vault in the back of the store!

Positive experience: Very kind atmosphere and huge selection of products. Sealed product at MSRP but prices on opened product was heavily inflated. Example Lorcana Card: Beast tragic hero on TCGplayer was $7 on visit but they had it for 50 (it's peak price when it was standard legal). Employees were super kind and helpful.

Negative experience: Always had a great time here until i was sold a ps4 with a broken disc drive, after refusing to let me test the ps4 in store. Should have known something was up.

Positive experience: First time I was in there I felt very comfortable with the transaction and feel I was fairly compensated for my items.p I had six PlayStation games in 2DS games and I was paid $75. I thought that was great. However on the second visit different guy I got about $45 for 40 games like what?

Positive experience: Very nice card and video games store. They also carry miniatures. There are games tables in the store, and there is usually a Magic The Gathering game going. The store is chock-full of video and console games.

I love what they've done w/ the building they're in (an old bank) & not only do they have a great selection of games, they also have a couple of hard to find titles as well! Staff is also patient, knowledgeable, & friendly! I look forward to making another trip down there again if I'm ever in the area!

Fantastic experience: Bodachs was so cool! Great and welcoming environment, everyone is greeted as they come in. Much bigger on the inside than I expected. They even have the vault open so you can look inside (it used to be a bank). They have a private back room you can rent for $20 for a whole day. It isn't super fancy but its private, quiet, and has two tables with chairs, its own bathroom and refrigerator. I'd say it fits about 10 people comfortably. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Their products are much cheaper than I've found elsewhere, like a 43 card magic card bunch with no duplicates is only $2. Everyone loves those, they have a specific name I cant think of at the moment. If you dont want to reserve the back room theres plenty of spacious tables all throughout the shop. We will definitely be making this our regular nerd shop.

It's impressive how they seem to have almost every single game you can think of, making it a paradise for gamers. What really stood out to me was the amazing customer service. The employees are not only knowledgeable but genuinely eager to help. I was on a mission to find parts to get my Wii up and running again, and they went above and beyond to assist me. They guided me through the store, helping me find exactly what I needed, and their expertise made the whole experience enjoyable. Thanks to their fantastic service and extensive inventory, Bodach's Games has definitely become my new go-to game store. I can't recommend it enough!

Fantastic experience: Amazing selection. The last retro game store I went to was small and cramped and they had this weird branded cybertruck in front. Not to mention they were extremely pushy. NOT HERE THOUGH, service was great, they were helpful, and clearly take care in their work. Prices are fair, and their selection is huge. Will be coming back here 100%

Negative experience: Liars. They say they offer up to 60% for Magic single trade-ins....stone cold lies. There are shops that are there FOR THE COMMUNITY, and then there are these shops, that are here to TAKE ADVANTAGE of the community. I visited this place for the first time yesterday, Jan 25th 2025, and I would not recommend coming here for anything. Although they do have a big selection of MTG singles, they were all way overpriced. Thats about all this place has to offer. I was charged $13 for a $10 card. Traded in (TCG value) $80 worth of singles and recieved $23. They fell waaay off the mark on this one. Not to mention, they were not busy at all, and Chris seemed very irritated that I even wanted to trade cards in. His reaction was pretty bizzare to me asking him if I can trade a couple cards in while I was there. The energy was negative as soon as I started interacting with these people. Again, I would only reccomend this place if youre having trouble finding a particular MTG single, and dont mind overpaying for it. I recommend Yeti Gaming for youre trade-ins.

Fantastic experience: Potentially the biggest selection of Magic the Gathering singles and vintage games in the St. Louis region with good prices and frequent sales. In addition to the vintage console and games, there's a lot of popular hobbies represented here like MTG, Warhammer, D&D and other RPGs, Pokémon, and Lorcana. In addition to the mass market stuff, there's a section highlighting local RPG designers. The space is huge, the staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, and there's a pretty good calendar of community events. Definitely recommend supporting this shop.

Fantastic experience: The owner is very knowledgeable and a great guy overall. The prices he gives for magic cards when selling them have drastically gone down from when I first started selling them. This is not the owners fault, just a simple fact of the matter. I would recommend coming here to do business with this place that used to be a bank. Or come hang out with friends to battle it out in an imaginary land far far away. Very cool and awesome place no doubt about it.

Negative experience: I want to like this place but they make it far too hard to spend your money. Went in today with my son to browse a bit and pick up a $25 box of magic cards. Long story short I waited about 5 minutes for them to clear the customers in front of us then another 5 minutes while the guy working said nothing and sat there quietly writing down numbers from whatever he had just bought. I decided if taking my money wasn't important to him then I didn't really need get this product from him today. It's really not this hard and it definitely makes it harder for me to try again though.

Negative experience: Guy who was working tonight was awful. I came in all the way from Lake St. Louis to sell an enchanted Lorcana card like I always do and was turned away without even looking at the card and told me they stopped buying cards an hour before they closed. I've never had that issue before but most importantly wouldn't be selling my card period if I wasn't in a bad place. Every other time the employees have been great. Tonight not so much. This guy should be let go as he is turning away good business. I would have let this card go for next to nothing. 45 minute trip for nothing. Thanks man

Fantastic experience: The owner and rest of the staff were very friendly, prices are very competitive (especially on sealed product), the environment is aesthetically pleasing, and the player bases seem very consistent for tournaments. You couldn't ask for anything else from a local game store.

Positive experience: Definite must visit for any gaming nerds in STL! Very cool atmosphere, insane game selection, and a large play space, but limited in ease of access. Overall a wonderful experience for retro gaming and playing area. Being in an old bank makes the space fun to explore and there are so many tabletop and video game options ranging from Ps4 to old atari catridges.

Negative experience: They wanted to sell pokeman white and black for 130$ but the game released for 60$ in 2011... literally I would not feel bad if they got cancer

Fantastic experience: An interesting shop! Quite a large retro-game collection. I spent a long while just looking and reminiscing. A decently sized MTG single collection as well. Dice, deck boxes, card sleeves. Pretty much anything you'd need. Their pre-con prices were also some of the lowest I've seen at a brick and mortar store. I'd certainly come back and peruse again.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough great things about this location. A few friends of mine and myself were in town recently for a concert and we had an entire day to go all over St Louis to card shops. When I say that they have one of the most outstanding selection of Magic the Gathering singles that would be an understatement. We visited on a Saturday and were there for hours looking through cards and interacting with staff. The staff was incredible and very helpfully and made the atmosphere a memorable one. There needs to be more places like this not only in St Louis but anywhere for that matter. My town of Cincinnati has a lot to learn from this store. I wish I had more time and more reasons to frequent St Louis so that I could come to this store more often. Each and every staff member was great to work with and the owner was even there behind the counter checking out customers and interacting with everyone. I grabbed some nice cards and a bunch of MTG Revised Land cards that you rarely see out in the wild anymore. I will be back!! Thank you for a memorable and hobbist lifting experience on our trip!

Fantastic experience: Bodach’s is my go to place for vintage games, MTG, sleeves, and pre-releases. John and the crew are so helpful and nice. They don’t care when I stand in front of the singles case contemplating how much of my money I want to spend or asking inane questions about what cards I should put in my new deck. They have the best selection; unmatched compared to any other LGS. This is the only brick and mortar store that my friends and I shop at for singles. I’ve never had anything other than an extremely positive experience here. If you are a fan of MTG or vintage games, this is the place to be. Thanks for everything guys, can’t wait to spend more of my money here to support a fantastic business. PS: Someone come buy the $150 ornithopter

Using an old bank was genius! The decorative ceiling and baseboards really added to the atmosphere. Addtional to their main space for league games, they host any type of game night you might want in a room off the back. A night costs only $20!

Fantastic experience: This place was really cool, had a great selection of old games for pretty good prices (sadly nothing I was looking for). Also had some sweet old Warhammer stuff for good prices. The two guys working there were really nice and patient. My only complaint is that the lighting was pretty dim which was pretty annoying, other than that really cool.

Fantastic experience: I'm not much of a gamer. However they have everything from cards to books and games and system's. They seem fairly priced. They are warm comfortable and sell snacks. So even if you don't game it is a nice place to relax and read a book. The workers are very friendly and make time to talk the customers.

Fantastic experience: Nice gaming store, has a good selection of magic cards. If looking for retro games/systems they have a good inventory going back to atari. They also hold magic tournaments and its all in a old bank the final game can be played in a bank vault its very interesting!

Fantastic experience: I did not know this store existed until a few weeks ago, but I'm very happy I found it. Went there for a D&D manual and ended up looking around for the better part of an hour. They have a large retro and modern video game selection with some pretty cool pieces and some more rare games. It also looked like they had a massive selection of Magic cards and plenty of space to play. Awesome building, nice selection of games, and very friendly staff. I'm glad I was swung in here to grab Monsters of the Multiverse, and I'm looking forward to going back.

The staff are the friendliest people I've met and they are extremely knowledgeable about the things they sell and even some things they don't sell.

What’s even cooler is that they are located inside a 100 year old building that used to be a bank. The owner, John, is very friendly and always down to chat. Great customer service and reasonable prices are getting harder to find in 2022.

Fantastic experience: If you are on the Illinois side, this place is worth taking a trip to. They can resurface discs, including gamecube games. Staff were friendly and didn't act like you were bothering them the way that all slackers employees act and have always acted. I'm not into card games but I can't think of a more visually appealing place to play. Lighting inside and ambiance is very appealing. Skip slackers and gamestop. This is my new game store. Well worth the drive from Illinois side.

We like the prices they have for older system accessories and games. You really can't beat their prices. We will for sure be going back.
