Negative experience: Person behind the counter wouldn't let me make a purchase. They claimed it was a requirement for me to provide my phone number and email to buy 2 brand new games. This was not voluntary for rewards or otherwise, according to the employee it was due to video games being high theft items and the need to track every purchase. I suspect it to be a lie and wanting to sign me up for something against my will
Negative experience: I was forced to create a membership to complete a standard game purchase despite stating I didn’t want a membership. I was told “it’s now store policy to require an account to complete the transaction”. I reconfirmed I didn’t want a membership but they forced the membership signup. I had already waited 30 minutes in line and I wasn’t going to argue to prolong my time in the understaffed store In a search after-the-fact an account is not needed fora transaction and I’m displeased with the underhanded sales tactic
Negative experience: Wow if been going to GameStop for almost 15 years and I always here the horror stories of GameStop management trying to get you to buy their membership and warranty, well they straight up tried to put the warranty when I clearly said NO I understand working for GameStop is all about meeting the quotas but don’t do that behind people’s back that is sooo wrong. If you make any purchases make sure to check your receipts. it’s not even about the money it’s about being transparent and not making dirty moves

Fantastic experience: Had a good experience today with Emmy calling me to inform me my pre order was in transit and had eventually arrived. She was very kind on the phone. When I eventually got there later today (5/13) I was greeted by what seemed like the only staff member at the time, the male store leader (sorry forgot his name). But he was just as nice as Emmy was. Informed me that more product was available to purchase, checked to see if i was a pro member to apply the discounts, and hooked me up with a bag. Thanks team!
Negative experience: Literally everything is locked up. If theft is really such a problem just hire a security guard or move the store to a better area. But having to ask an employee to unlock product is a terrible customer experience.
Fantastic experience: Rosa and Jake were great. Thanks for a smooth trade in and wanting to help as much as they could.
Negative experience: We have been here 2 times and everytime the sale persons intentionally added the guarantee and pro membership to our receipt without telling us about it before. It is really disappointed, especially the way the store leader Caedar said, as he told us that he was trained by the company to add these packages without asking the customers first. We ended up with asking them to return our item 5 mins after buying it, and he made it extremely hard to do it. At the end, we had to walk back home without being able to return the $200 item. This is completely a disappointment to us.

Negative experience: They forced us to use a number with them in order to even buy a single pack of pokemon. Then berated us saying we would have gotten stuff free if we upgraded to pro. But he wasn't going to let us buy anything if we didn't input a number. Never going to this location EVER again
Positive experience: I went in to purchase a Switch 2 console while also trading in my old switch. Overall my experience was okay. The gentleman who assisted me with my trade in and purchase was very kind and helpful during the entire transaction but his coworker was not. I unfortunately didnt get her name but she seemed like a manager. She was very pushy about me purchasing a subscription to gamestop as well as a warranty that i said that I didnt need. She made me quite uncomfortable at one point because she kept interjecting during the conversation i was having with the guy who was helping me and kept trying to persuade to purchase unnecessary things that I said i did not want multiple times. Whoever the guy was, im sorry i didnt get your name but you were very helpful. And to the woman, who i assume was a manager, you need to do better about customer interactions because you made me never want to come back to your store ever again. Safe to say I will be taking my business elsewhere
Negative experience: Short female working on the morning of 2/19/26 by herself was unpleasant. Told me she had no bags then offered the customer right after me a big bag. I bought a 90 dollar controller and a large plushie, I don’t see why that didn’t get a bag. Also, you should really have workers in the morning that actually want to be there. She answered multiple phone calls while talking to me, didn’t tell me anything as I’m literally standing in front of her. Super annoyed with my experience today.
Negative experience: Seems like I ain’t the only one who had a uncomfortable experience with this same guy. Light black skinned dude very aggressive. Even tried telling me how raise my kids after denying membership and tried to sneak in warranty for game I got. He’s gonna mess with the wrong one someday. He got his coming that’s for sure.
Fantastic experience: Always helpful and attentive to customers needs
Negative experience: I’ve had some bad retail experiences before, but what happened at this GameStop takes the cake. Every time I come in, the same guy aggressively pushes the Pro Membership on me, to the point where it feels less like shopping and more like being cornered by a salesman. Today I tried to cut it off before it started—I politely said I wasn’t interested. Instead of respecting that, the guy got visibly upset and kept pushing anyway, like “no” wasn’t an option. When I refused to answer his sales questions, he actually got angry and kicked me out of the store. Imagine being told to leave simply because you don’t want a membership. This kind of behavior is completely unprofessional and hostile. Customers shouldn’t be treated like they’re stupid or unwelcome just for declining a loyalty program. GameStop needs to seriously rethink how it trains its staff and how much pressure it puts on them to sell memberships, because right now it’s creating a toxic experience that drives people away.
Negative experience: We went here holding to by some cards when a guy there named Kaden kept pushing us to get the membership and and after a while of him pushing and us saying no thank you he kicked us out. If you see someone there named Kaden just leave unless you want to get kicked out.
Negative experience: I pre- ordered the Switch 2, Paid it off a week in advance. Called them two times (the first time the guy honestly was not making any sense and just repeted the same non-ansewer) I showed up at 9:26pm for the 9pm-12pm event. WHAT EVENT? there wasnt even A SIGN... not a line. NOTHING. not one person from game stop giving directions. Not to mention UNSAFE. IT was such a foul feeling. They literally just said due to time constraints we can't give you WHAT YOU PRE order ON PRE ORDER TIME!!! ARE YOU KIDDING MEEE??? So pathetic, The manager there was so so sooo rude. Just give me MY PURCHASEEEEEEEEEEEEE. ON TIMEEEEEEE IRIIITATIINNNNGGG
Negative experience: 04/24/2025 Terrible and rude customer service from the male individual there. If I could give a zero I would and since it’s the closest store to me, I thought I’d give it a shot. I called in to ask a simple question that couldn’t have taken more than 10 seconds to ask and get a yes or no answer, easy. I was put on hold, waited 10 minutes, I hung up. Now I called again @16:35, I was told if I could be put on hold again, I quickly told him that I just have a quick question, he rudely told me that he was with a customer, and was put on hold again. Now it’s been 40 minutes. I wanted to see how far this guy would go and his service is absolutely atrocious. I’ve worked retail and know how to manage calls and customers in person. It’s never taken me that long to get back to the person I put on hold. I see other negative feedback and should have known better than to consider this store. I’m sure it’s the same guy as well. You need someone who isn’t so rude to your customers. If this place closes down, I understand why. I’m never going to this place and taking my business elsewhere. ✌️

Negative experience: Always love buying games every now and again at GameStop but I will have to say that this is the worst location I’ve ever been too. The two ladies working at the time I went were so rude and disrespectful I will not go back to this location again. If I’m going to get treated rudely I might as well just buy online.
Negative experience: Went in to get the master chief helmet and I was told by one associate that they have a new helmet not on display in their back room. I came back to get it and I specifically asked for the helmet they have stored in the back room but was told that “room is too messy and it’s hard to find” when associate took less then 5 minutes to take a look. I frequently shop here same with my husband and I am very disappointed with the customer service.

Fantastic experience: Successfully completed a trade-in here, it went smoothly although there was only one employee working the entire store. Dom was professional and managed running the whole store while doing my trade-in. It's a lot to ask of one person! Budget extra time if you stop by until they resolve staffing challenges.

Negative experience: I went in yesterday to return a PS5 I have the extended warranty. I called in before just to ensure that I can return an open item, I was told that’s ok as long as you bought the warranty. When I get there the lady slandered a guy named Matt and says he makes things up all the time and that she couldn’t return the device or she’d get fired. I told her the policy of GameStop and she said she will call someone. Well, that person also doesn’t know GameStop policies. So I left without being able to return the device. So I called the corporate office. They confirmed that I was correct and the Matt guy is also correct. Turns out lady was the liar. The corporation told me to go back to store so they could talk to her and tell her personally and walk her through the return. I told them I’d rather go to Pleasant Hill location as the lady has no idea what she was doing nor her superior. I went there and didn’t have to tell them anything they did the return no problem as they are supposed to do. Avoid this location at all costs.. They are liars or don’t even know the stores return policy which is hard to believe considering the business. Furthermore, the management doesn’t care about customers or they too don’t know the policies. Slandering other employees that are right is also ridiculous. Matt beware or the ppl talking behind your back. Also, I’m calling the Corp again today to make sure they look into your store. You lost a good customer. Hopefully you learn the policies as I’m sure you know them

The employees seldom want to help if it involves moving more than 2 feet from the counter or looking on any peg or shelf higher than 3 feet from the floor. Disinterested and almost as if my presence as a customer in their store was interrupting their game or texting. Sorry, but you won't have to worry for long. This will probably be another location they end up closing and we'll just buy from Amazon from here on out. Thanks for passing me by multiple times and never Once asking to help me..... You know... The only customer in the store.

Negative experience: I tend to pick up a few games that I play in my free time throughout the year. Not sure if it's a problem with quality control but about half of the used games I've received were defective. Sadly, by the time I get around to trying to play them, it's well outside the return policy.
Fantastic experience: One time i waited in line for super smash bros brawl when i was in like the 4th grade. My mom let me and my brother stay home from school the next day so we spent all night and day playing and beat the campaign mode. Moral of the story is, get a cool mom and youll become a masterful gamer.
