Negative experience: Another one bites the dust, good riddance. They had terrible workers that would not show up to work two hours after it was supposedly open.
Positive experience: Seems to have wider selection of titles vs brooklyn park, crystal, and maple grove but truly is only that way based off what other people trade in. - friendly staff, chill, otherwise just a general gamestop location. Store could use a little more organization or cleaning but isn't bad.
Fantastic experience: Take away all other games stops. This is the one. These people talk to you like a person. If you want to talk Pokemon. These guys are here. Talk about anything you want and they will do it and I appreciate that they're great with kids and thank God for this game stop because no other GameStop is like them.
Negative experience: It's crazy how y'all hire scalpers I went to 2 locations where I was lied to about stock nor were there pre orders to be filled
Negative experience: Employees are keeping product. Only store that didn't actually sell blooming waters today and said they had them in stock yesterday. Hmmm
Negative experience: Stupid policy. Need to make an account to buy their overpriced items. Don’t support this kind of crap.
Positive experience: I'm pretty sure this Gamestop opens whenever it wants as opposed to following its listed hours. Call ahead to check if they are open before heading over there.

Negative experience: Ok went there to get Nintendo switch and found the one I wanted there with a Mario kart deluxe 8 bundle, literally showed to the cashier and right after I paid I've realized it's a regular one with no bundle. For sure I had to pay more attention, but I've emphasized what I want and got a wrong result and the employee didn't let us exchange it. Super weird experience, didn't like the policy at all. Don't recommend this GameStop specifically
Fantastic experience: Donny/Donald treated me really great this evening at the Plymouth Gamestop; where even when my monthly $5 rewards credit wasn't coming up in the computer system, he took the time to ask someone how to work it out - I ended up getting that credit in the end, being very pleased overall with his customer service, and with Gamestop. On top of that, he took really great care of the person before me; collaborating with the nearby Maple Grove store to help a Return/Exchange go as smoothly as possible for them I've worked my share of customer service jobs, so I always appreciate the great folks at the Plymouth store and all they do. I just wanted to make sure that Donny got the recognition he deserves for being great with customers and with his teammates. Thanks!
Negative experience: I’m outside standing here when it says they’re open at 11 o’clock and the gates down. No one’s anywhere to be found. How does this happen at every store location around the city this is pathetic.
Negative experience: They don’t answer the fone call and it say open but is closed
Positive experience: Solid enough store, good stuff on clearance, employees know the system well, but if you want Pokemon promos skip this spot. They never have them. I'm positive the employees just keep them for themselves they always either feed me a line about barely getting like 10 in (I know for a fact they get sent in boxes of 50 to stores) or they just say they got swarmed but they also talk about getting them themselves, so...yeah

Negative experience: The closed at 7:54, not 8:00 and the closing manager/associate wouldn’t make a simple exchange even with receipt in hand. I wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone! I’ve been a GameStop member for 10+ yrs, if this is how they treat loyal customers I want no parts of this store whatsoever. Simply unprofessional. I’ll be making a drive out to Maple Grove from now on, even though this store is the closest to me. When I asked for his name, he stated “he doesn’t have to give it to me”, and “corporate won’t fire him.”
Negative experience: Game selection has been declining for years. Used to go in here to browse used games and new. That's dwindling. Partly due to the shift to online digital games but also the companies choice to shift to toys. Sad
Fantastic experience: I called and asked a bunch of questions on a ps5 we had recently bought. They were able to help us determine what we needed to do and what we needed to bring in order to fix our problem. They were the third game stop I had called, and the only ones able to answer our questions.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Less than 2 weeks ago we bought a refurbished ps5 from gamestop...defective. Exchanged for another refurbished....defective. Now being told because we exchanged the first defective ps5 we can't have our money back. My kid is disappointed that his Birthday present doesn't work and I'm fired up because I feel like I've been swindled out of nearly $600.
Fantastic experience: Ever heard those GRAND CASINO STORY commercials? Here's my GAMESTOP odyssey, and it's a rollercoaster. It's been a decade since I dived into the gaming world. I'm 34, swamped with work, and generally like to read. But on a recent visit to a friend's, I got pulled into the enchanting realm of Final Fantasy XVI. Final Fantasy X was my favorite game when I played, and I suddenly wanted a console. Sharing my newfound enthusiasm with my girlfriend, she chimed in, "I've always been more of an Xbox person." So, I decided, "Why not both?" My quest took me to Target, where I attempted to buy both the PS5 and an Xbox. Bafflingly, the salesman refused the sale, labling my actions "suspicious." It felt like a scene straight out of Pretty Woman. Suppressing my anger, I quipped, "Seems Gamestop will get my business." The first Gamestop near Ridgdale Mall had sadly shut its doors. As I approached it, I promised myself, "If the next one's also closed, I'll take it as a sign." Locating another nearby store, I stepped in, and a wave of nostalgia engulfed me - it was reminiscent of the times when a close friend worked at one. Inside, Andrew, the lone employee, was engrossed in a remote transaction. Once done, he welcomed me with genuine warmth. The stark contrast between his service and my earlier experience was palpable. Andrew wasn't just keen to help; he exuded a rare enthusiasm to make the sale. In an era where retail is grappling for survival, and giants like Target overshadow smaller players, Andrew showcased why Gamestop still holds its ground. His service highlighted the essence of customer relations and the fading art of genuine human connection in sales. Target lost a patron that day. But Gamestop? They won a loyal customer for life.
Fantastic experience: Always go here for my games! This is my home store for all of my GameStop needs. Amazing staff and always a good selection of games!
Negative experience: Bought a used xbox and right out of the box it was extremely slow and would freezeup every single time. Couldn't even play the game I purchased. Had to go to a different location to exchange. Wasn't offered anything for the inconvienience besides a hey man I'm sorry

Negative experience: I don't plan on pre-ordering from GameStop again. They got me excited to get a new game the night before and never reached out. When I pre-ordered the new Zelda game a month ago- the associate got me excited that they would be open the night before and would contact me to arrive be playing the game early. I never got that outreach or a communication of the pre-release. Instead when I came the following morning, their associate had just opened the door at 11:04 a.m., couldn't figure out how to unlock the door. He let people in, and was having customers open the door for people outside. When I asked about the communication from the night before, he said it was supposed to happen, but only one person worked the night before, couldn't figure it out, and said they felt it above their pay-grade to get it sorted. It was basically framed that I had to just show up or call if I wanted it early because they were understaffed or there wasn't good communication. When I said I'm a bit disappointed in how it all played out, he responded with, "That's okay," then proceeded to ask if I wanted to join the yearly plan and save money for $45 extra dollars. I feel like another sale - when I could have just bought the game online and not have to wait until the next morning at 11:09 a.m. I'm happy to get my game now - but don't feel the need to be told one thing and dismissed when I felt frustrated.
Negative experience: Prices are really bad. $55 for a used game that retails brand new for $60. They were selling a used Nintendo Switch Lite for $180. It’s brand new for $200. C’mon. At least try.

Negative experience: Showed up at 11:50am on a Saturday and security gates down with the store closed. Sounds like its a common issue.
Negative experience: 1020 in the morning and nobody there.
Negative experience: Make sure to call ahead of time to be sure they have employees to keep the doors open! I stopped by this evening after work and even though Google said they're open and their Open sign was lit.... The windows were blocked off and the doors were locked. No sign of return. Next time ill make sure to give them a call ahead of time!

Negative experience: Is this location closing up? Twice now I have visited. 07/23/2022 at 5:30 PM and the day after around 1:00 PM CST. Both times their Security gates were down and open sign was off.

Fantastic experience: This Gamestop always has something I never need but always want! The staff are super friendly and are great to talk to. Their knowledge on all the game systems, computer accessories, and card games is extremely helpful when looking for what you may need. Also, They are always there to help you out so much that they are in stock to help you find exactly what you need or want. They are very easy to talk to and do not make you feel like you are being straight up watched while you shop inside the store. A great recommendation from one of the employees told me to pre-order the specific new and upcoming game because they only receive a limited number of games to have!!
Negative experience: Seriously doesn't open til noon...I never stop up here much but I was gonna spend some money but not open til noon on a Monday...why..lost my business lol good job GameStop

Positive experience: Although the employee's are very attentive, it's to the point where everyone else is left standing around. Like I get what I want within a couple minutes but I still wait twenty minutes just to buy said item.

Fantastic experience: Just had a great experience at the GameStop in Plymouth Minnesota I brought my son‘s Nintendo switch in for a warranty repair and there was an issue with the serial number on the receipt and the serial number on the actual switch unit. Christian the store lead was able to confirm that I purchased the warranty and concluded that the issue was on GameStop side he was professional and kind and walked me through my options. I was so impressed with his customer service skills that I purchased another extended warranty based on his recommendation some thing I Never would have done in the past. This type of customer service doesn’t happen very much anymore and I’m glad to see that it is still happening at this game stop

Fantastic experience: Went there this afternoon and bought a few games and pre-owned controller. Got home and the pre-owned controller wasn't working properly. I went back in and the store associate made the refund process very easy. I forgot the associates name, but they had green hair and were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Negative experience: Colin was extremely unhelpful, wouldn't let me speak to manager, wouldn't look for our order, I had to call him 3 times, continued to try to argue with me and was not upfront and honest at all. The worst service I have received by a sales associate in about 10 years!!!! Corey however, another sales associate who helped us with out purchase that was to be shipped to the Plymouth Store was great. Colin was rude, disrespectful, unhelpful, argumentative.

Negative experience: Bree was absolutely no help, and to add she has no knowledge of gaming accessories, claiming that the Xbox one chat headset was a one and done item that comes with Xbox and cannot buy it separately, no wonder they're going out of business..

Fantastic experience: Josh is absolute gold when it comes to customer service, and organization! Everytime I go in the store I am always greeted with a super friendly welcome! He truly knows what he is doing, and is very informative with everything I have asked him. All of the employees who work with him are also very helpful and knowledgeable! If any game stop "higher ups" read this, I strongly encourage you to recognize what value Josh brings to not only this location, but your company's reputation as a whole.
Negative experience: I perched a new game last night 30 minutes prior to close and the wraper off on the case got riped from me playing with it and then i went in the next day to exchange for a diffrent game and they wont let me change it for full price they are trying to only give me 16.50 for the new game called Death Stranding that i paid over 60 for it and customer service cant help or do anything about it! It would be great if they let people know if you buy a New game that you cant get your money back or get the exchange for it.

Negative experience: Was in the store for maybe 20 minutes while the cashier sat and watched TV the entire time. Didn't even say hello. I had a few questions but I didn't wanna interrupt his program so I left. Best buy in MG answered my questions just fine though.
Negative experience: Pre-ordered a game with the promise of an early release, the night before, at 9 PM. I get there at 9:25 and the place is closed. Dude just looks out the window at me from behind the counter and shrugs. So, the early release is what? A ten, fifteen minute window? I'll just download from now on, thanks.

Fantastic experience: Made my preorder a priority. Ordered a collectible, which they didn't get in stock at the right time (not the location's fault). So the store leader picked some up from Minnetonka's location so pre-orders could be filled. Ended up timing perfectly with Black Friday discounts. Chris was beyond helpful. I also noticed that on certain collectibles they've stopped putting stickers on the boxes, which is a must for getting MIB collectors to buy. Top notch.

Fantastic experience: Best GameStop I visited. I made this my go to GameStop from now on, the workers here are friendly and welcoming. I order Pokemon Moon and got it today, they ran out of the free preorder poster but the female worker here (who is nice, friendly, welcoming and caring) gave me her Pokemon Moon button. This button means more than that poster to me and I love how Lunala was on it. One of the best GameStop experience ever.
