Fantastic experience: Very friendly and well educated staff. I went in for a specific item and the manager,Monica, had it in her hand almost instantaneously, she also went above and beyond by hooking me up with some collectible cards from her personal collection. Highly recommend this spot.

Negative experience: Bought a pro controller new and since they did not have a used one in stock they couldn't warranty it out for a new one.when I bought it, it was new so really whats the point of buying a warranty on something new. If you can only get a used after. Lady was really rude.

Negative experience: Went there few days ago and had August help us. She is the rudest most discriminating person I seen in a long time. I have a disability, I have trouble reading and I told her and she said yes you can read. She is awful person I will take my business to Walmart due to her.

Positive experience: The smoke shop next door has gamestop smelling pretty bad. if you're sensitive to disgusting smells, I suggest shopping elsewhere. All employees are quick to help you and they are very nice mannered. I'll bring you all some pine tree air fresheners next time I stop in

Fantastic experience: Monica that works at this GameStop is hands down the best person I’ve ever dealt with at any GameStop location ever. Monica is always friendly, and knows how to do her job! I always feel like she’s looking out for me as a customer. I drive a little extra when I have another GameStop closer just because of her amazing service skills!

Negative experience: If I could leave zero stars, I would. I visited this GameStop two days in a row (Friday and Saturday — the busiest retail days of the week) to trade in games and purchase other items. Both times, I was turned away by the same two employees, who told me they couldn’t process any trade-ins because they weren’t “certified by Knox County police” to do so. Not only is that absurd on its own — but why would management staff a store with employees who legally cannot perform one of the core services that GameStop is supposed to offer, especially on the busiest days? As a former GameStop employee myself, I know that trade-ins are a major pillar of their business model. Blocking that off due to poor scheduling is ridiculous and shows complete disregard for both their employees and customers. Both visits were a waste of my time, and after being told “sorry, we can’t help you” twice, I walked out both times without buying anything. If I’m doing that, I guarantee others are too — and it says a lot about where this company is headed. Overall, an embarrassing experience that speaks volumes about how badly GameStop is being run these days.

Fantastic experience: Lance helped me today and was extremely professional and honestly he should be upper management ,he deserves a raise. The reason I say this is at 2 other locations the employees were extremely rude to me (monica should be fired) lance was very polite and extremely nice to myself and my family. I gave 5 stars because of him ONLY. THANKS LANCE I will continue shopping at gamestop because of your honesty and your business ethics.

Negative experience: Literally pulled up at 10:45 Am waited till 11:00 still not open. No worker in site haven’t even seen one come to the door or walk into the store. Very unfortunate, and unprofessional! This game stop is always having problems with the workers not being here nor do they know what you’re talking about half the time when you go in to ask them. Also it is now 11:10 Am 10 mins after open time and there still no worker in site nor is the door open it still locked with the open sign off. Multiple people have try’d to go in! Do better game stop & get better workers that actually care about the work place! We are regulars up here and constantly being disappointed. Also another thing they are also closing before they are supposed and leaving the open sign off I’m guessing so they don’t get busy. Which is crazy because you would think they would want to sell stuff.. just a sad world

Negative experience: Apparently this location no longer takes trade ins according to the very rude young man running the store. This location always has different people running it. They need to close this location cause it's never open at its scheduled hours as well.

Negative experience: Guys at the store trying to sell their own stuff. Their selection is very slim The store always smells like body oder They need more then one person working And they NEVER answer the phone They sold my girlfriend a switch control an the guy said he tries everything out at his house on his own console but when I opened it for Christmas ( out of the 15 day warranty) the + button was not working I had the recipe an bag it came with also. Plus it was Christmas time he understood it would be opened at Christmas. He then tried to sell me a warranty or buy the $50 controller himself for 10 more then store credit can't speak on everyone that works there but the store is not what it used to be at all don't waste your time unless your goin to buy just a game any other transactions are pointless an hwy robbery Just a waste of time even goin to the store

Positive experience: I've been inside two GameStop's. One in South Knoxville and Powell. The clerks behind the counter have been friendly and knowledgeable. But I absolutely cannot get the GameStop app to work. I've consulted numerous clerks and the help number three times and I still cannot sign into the app. Very disappointing.

Negative experience: Bunch of children who don’t know what they’re doing and management to match. Preordered Diablo 4 a week before it came out and was told I couldn’t get the bonuses with it then because I had to wait until release day. Release day comes around and I go first thing they open only to be told they have no more because they gave them out when you preordered. Now I’m out a steelbook and poster because GameStop is a joke of a business and I won’t be dealing with them again. I’ll stick to my Best Buy preorders.

Negative experience: don’t waste your time with this location especially if you’re doing preorders with bonus bundles because the employees just keep them for themselves and tell you that they’re out. I preordered and was told i couldn’t receive the bonuses until release day (even though everywhere else was) came back on release day and was the first customer in the door and somehow they are out of them. Terrible business practices and customer service.

Fantastic experience: I've made two trips to Gamestop in the past 4 days. The employee that helped me with a purchase two days ago was also working today. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the items I was looking for on both visits. The trip to Gamestop was great, the employee was very kind, helpful and didn't try and rush me. She answered all my questions and helped locate items I wanted. Overall good experience. My thanks to her.

Negative experience: Was informed by the employee covering this shift now , that he tells all his funko pop people that if your looking for a chase or a special edition limited make . That you will not find one , he buys them all. Then he tried to send me to tallman to buy the one I needed . Which I'm assuming he takes them to him and sells them there for a profit. Which kinda takes the wind out of your sell. If your wanting to buy cheap now in hopes for the value to go up later . So , if your expecting to buy a chase or a rare at a game stop I wouldn't even bother browsing. It's more than likely an issue everywhere.

Negative experience: Going against their return policy for a defective game. Very dissatisfied. Making a formal complaint to the headquarters of GameStop. I will not be coming back to GameStop with them ripping people off and won’t allow the return or exchange for games that they sale that won’t even work. And it’s under the 7 days of return policy . I’d rather buy my games from Walmart for now on

Negative experience: I only give them a star because it will not do it without one. The service is horrible. I walked in right before close to spend $400 on a gaming system and was told she wasn't going to check out anyone else we had to leave. If you are closed you should have turned off the open sign. I will not come back to this location. I would rather drive out of my way than to give them anymore of my business. Rude and lazy.

Positive experience: I came into this store to look around to buy one game. However, there was this one lady employee who would "talk" to me, pretending to try and make conversation about games coming out or merchandise that is coming out only to keep referring to their prices and such. I know it is Gamestop and they are forced to make sales and stuff, but it really made me want to ask her if she had a real-life ad-block for her mouth, cuz it was annoying me. I told her to stop talking to me because I know what she was doing, but she kept persistently trying to push all kinds of sales on me. I eventually left without buying anything and just bought the game I was looking for from the nearby Walmart (Even if it was a little more expensive) instead because I could peace without somebody hounding me for sales.

Fantastic experience: The manager lady (Vic I think) that works at this location is a champion! She’s always working, usually by herself. The line is always booming, but she keeps her composure and treats every customer with the same respect. She’s worth every penny she makes. I don’t know what the future of GameStop looks like, but if all the GameStop’s had her it would be bright.

Negative experience: I pretty sure the Store Leader is Vic and Ive been in there multiple times. Ive been sold scratched games that dont work. Last time I went in the back door was open and Vic was in the back the whole time. She didnt greet me or watch me. I stood there for like 10 min then just walked out. The older crew was better. Dont waste your money or time at this gamestop. Needs new management ASAP. Please!!!!

Negative experience: I would not do business here. I bought 2 games and I didn't realize they required internet until I got home so when I went to return them with a receipt, they gave me less money for them then what I paid. The woman working the counter said there was nothing she could do. It's been less than 24 hours but they don't seem to mind taking $25.00 of my hard earned money for FREE after I spent $59.88 as I will not be giving them my business anymore!!!!! ✌

Negative experience: Worst Game Stop by far. Don't waste your time or money at this location. Staff is a joke they make their own rules up and don't follow the same policies as the other stores. I literally drive 30 min further to another location or just go to another game store all together because this one's staff is such trash. This is a warning buyer beware

Fantastic experience: They were willing to hold an item until I could pick it up later in the day, didn't try to push any extra items or games but was still very informative about what they do have. Everyone seems honest and genuine without the fake cheerfulness you usually see in retail. Their non game items were organized and placed nicely with large easy to read price tags and although not a problem for me, most things are low to the ground so kids or shorter people can look around without constantly needing help

Positive experience: Bought a psvita here, was told they were all tested prior to being sold. The first didn't work, they said to charge it. Plugged it up, no charge, we took it back, got another one it came with a charger that wasn't made for the vita at all, But the system worked.

Negative experience: I’ve been going to this store off and on for a year now and it is by far the sleaziest store I have ever been to. I’ve had some weird experiences there most of which is the staff getting defensive whenever I tell them I’m not interested in their attempt to up sale me on a product or their membership. But today was the worst yet! A woman had come in looking for the Spider-Man PS4 pro bundle for her 10 year old kid and the two guys tell her that they were sold out. They then proceed to pressure her into buying a pro despite the fact she said she really just wanted to look at the bundle and nothing more. To me the workers knew she was not knowledgeable about the product and were fast talking her into an unnecessary purchase. I feel terrible that I did not speak up for this woman and help her out but I will not hesitate ever again!

Negative experience: Awful and ridiculous. Staff are rude and there behavior is unacceptable. I called in to have a game placed on hold and they asdured me that it was being held with my name on it so I drive an hour to get there jyst to find out that they Did NOT have the game at all. So why they lied is beyond me. If you want a great game store with reasonable pricing aling with great trade in value. Please do not go to this place. They should have anoption for negative star ratings bc this place shouldnt get any stars but i had to give 1 star to give this review.
