Negative experience: I used a visa gift card here for $100 and spent $48.99. I went to use the card again and someone named Bryan Tate ryl took $49.99 off this gift card on the same day. This was the only place I used the gift card. Be careful at this branch they might be nice but they are not above stealing this happened on 10/11/25.

Negative experience: Waited for 1.5 hrs for the website is wrong on time of opening and never did open the store when it was time for them to open….ill be taking all card grading else where

Negative experience: Showed up at 11:30am and this store was closed due to "short staff" issues. Edit your times if you aren't going to be open and edit your phone systems as well to show the proper times you will be open for the public.

Fantastic experience: 2-7-2025 Shout out to the man working this morning during the new pokemon tcg drop! He didn't have to go out of his way to make sure it was distributed fairly or make the event more comfortable for us who were waiting, but he did! Always a good experience whenever he's behind the counter. =)

Negative experience: Not enough new or used xbox games when I find new physical games on ebay that they could have to sell here makes pro membership pointless.

Negative experience: Closed at 6PM cause staffing issues!!! They are supposed to be open till 9. Told my son i would take him there for his birthday.

Negative experience: Not worth going to anymore, very pushy with the warranty, bought a Xbox and it was almost 4 minutes of trying to sell a warranty and a membership. It's ok to try, but boil down your pitch and read the room.

Fantastic experience: Its GameStop, if you know the store, you know what to expect. Staff is friendly and they almost always have the latest games. They also have a huge selection of used games if you want to save some cash. They have collectibles, tshirts, and tons of other merchandise that has your favorite game character. Stop by, join the powerup rewards and start playing asap! Life is too short to not play the latest and greatest games!!!

It was a relief because not only did the guy help us with what we needed, his service was exceptional! He went above and beyond to right the other stores mistakes, was super helpful, kind, and understanding! They also had better quality items and more quantity of products. I highly recommend this store, especially above the other one in Springfield!

Negative experience: My daughter bought a used ps vita 2000. The package said it had been wiped clean. It was not and could not be accessed because the password from the last owner was on there. She was treated horribly. I was treated horribly on the phone,as well. We went to Mega Disc Replay in Peoria. They were so kind and helped us even though we did not buy it there. I thought I was going to have to give up and buy one there, but instead they helped us and she is now happily using it.

One thing I like about Gamestop is the employees greet you when they come in as long as you get aren't busy and will help you with any questions you may have. It seems like all Gamestops now offer more in gaming and pop culture merchandise with Funko Pop, tshirts, stuffed dolls in the form of TV shows, anime, Or video games. However even with this inclusion they still have plenty of games for all the current systems in stock.

He said they didn't carry it and I looked online where it said they did have it.. So I said to him it says online that your store carries it, do you think you could look it up for me.. He seemed quite irritated and told me abruptly that they didn't carry that.. I was looking for a memory card for an old GameCube.. He said they didn't carry GameCube accessories anymore, I know that's an older system but when I went to the back of the store I saw a bunch of GameCube controllers, I assumed the man just didn't know, and that's when I looked it up online. And when he got irritated.

Negative experience: Rude and arrogant cashier. Wouldnt let my son's 18 year old friend buy an M rated game because his minor brother was with him. Very disrespectful to them, even if it is store policy.
