Negative experience: Horrible service here man. Employees are terrible who behave disrespectful and rude to customers. Came in to trade in some xbox controllers and was met with a condescending attitude that was very off-putting. Don't recommend them in the slightest bit.

Negative experience: Went in to use monthly Pro $5 reward. Upon checking out, the (manager) claim it's not available and that I must've used. First off, don't assume someone used it because it's not showing as available in their system. Second, the employee that was helping was patient and understanding when we told them that it was not used and that we're not sure why it isn't showing up. We were trying to figure out why and we would've been fine if we couldn't come to a root cause. Not anyone's fault or to blame but what made this experience worse was that the manager chimed in and started having an attitude and saying "well, the items you're getting is still a good deal." The good deal isn't the issue, it was trying to use the $5 that should've been available to use without having a headache. Lastly, I feel terrible for the employees that work for him because he's not personal and respectful of the customers, especially working in retail. The other reviews you see about the manager is correct. If you have issues, avoid him if possible. Won't be back to support this location.
Negative experience: Do NOT buy the warranty for the controllers I bought a brand new controller a month ago with the warranty it was already having issues so I brought it in to get a new one nope they had no white controllers so I ask for a credit and they say nope so i had them ship me one and they ship me a pre owned controller with slippery thumb sticks, sticky right bumper, and dirt marks on the back never ever shopping here again this is why they’re going out of business sad to see.

Negative experience: I went in to make a reservation for RE9. The employee at the counter was busy handling a trade, which was fine — he told me he’d help me once he was done. However, after that, another customer came in and he helped them first, even while still working on the trade. Then he helped yet another customer right after. Meanwhile, an off-the-clock employee and another staff member were standing behind the register having a casual conversation the entire time. I ended up leaving, and honestly, I probably won’t return to this store.
Negative experience: I traded in a ps5 but they didn't not have cash on hand so they said they could Venmo me since they were a Venmo partner. They said it should cash in right away like most Venmo payments do but if I don't receive it in 24 hours to call Venmo. I've called Venmo and they have no record of any transaction the receipt Gamestop gave me means nothing according to Venmo. After going back to the store the manager was rude cutting us off interrupting the worker that was actually helping us, Marcus (you're the goat I'm sorry you have to deal with that guy). He then proceeded to yell at us about how he can't help us after they now have my ps5 and I have no money and a receipt that means nothing. I don't know how this guy is the manager all he does is escalate and assume he knows what everyone is going to say before they say it. Not once did I mention a refund but he was so stuck on the idea we couldn't even tell him our actual issue. If Marcus wasn't there I'm sure he would have kicked us out of the store much sooner.
Negative experience: Came to look at figurines "Open" at 10 yet it's 10:49 all grates are down, front door is half way so someone's in there. No answer on the phone. So someone just being pure lazy. And there's no excuse in used to be an assistant manager for GameStop working 9a-3p daily by myself.
Fantastic experience: Jason was helpful and knowledgeable about card grading services. In and out fast, discounts applied, great time.
Negative experience: Was looking around at items with my friends, he tells us if we’re not going to buy anything we should leave. We laugh it off, and then he insists on it. They wonder why people shop online.

Negative experience: They added an extra 'insurance policy' for more money without asking when I was about to buy a game. I asked them to remove it. Now I know why! The game isn't functioning and they knew!!! It was a gift for my brother :c
Positive experience: I've gone to this Gamestop in particular 4 times since moving to the area. The first 3 times were really positive or very transactional experiences which were fine. I went in today to pick up a new release and after the employee talked with me and helped for a while, we got everything (game, membership, etc) all set then he said 'Oh, and I put protection on your game in case it gets damaged' and I see the $5 protection plan just put on my bill. He never asked, simply said it like I didn't know he was supposed to ask and as if I wouldn't notice. I did, but I was offended and figured if it shows up on my bill as the first time I ever purchased the protection in the 20 years that I've been buying from them, my story may seem more believable. Anyway, probably going to the Nashua store from now on.

Fantastic experience: On the weekend I stopped by to see if I can get some funko pop for the kids. Marcus introduce himself and explained what was on sale, what he can help with and overall let us shop which i like when associates dont just follow you around non stop giving you the eye . Marcus, thank you for making my GameStop visit so special! Your warm smile, expert advice, and genuine care made me feel valued. I hope game stop see that You're an amazing asset to the team.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to see if there were physical subscription timecards available in the store that I could purchase for a game I frequently play. They unfortunately weren't available; however, the Cashier/store member Marcus was able to find an alternative and offer digital codes via receipt to apply to my subscription. the process was quick, and Marcus was very professional and polite with handling everything. Prior to finding the digital code for m he even tried to think of other methods as well but settled for the digital code. He was superb, the transaction went great, and my product worked when I redeemed it.

Negative experience: I approached one of your staff members, I didn't get his name but (a young Asian Man to be specific) around 6:50 2/17/24, to inquire about the availability of a PS controller. Unfortunately, I was met with reluctance and discomfort when making this request. This young man expressed concerns about theft and seemed hesitant to assist me solely based on my race. As a loyal customer, I was disappointed by this interaction and felt unfairly discriminated against as there were other nice white people he helped with ideally the same request before me. I understand the importance of preventing theft in retail environments, but I believe that all customers should be treated with respect and provided with equal service regardless of their race or ethnicity. I trust that this behavior does not reflect the values of Gamestop as a company. NO HATE but I kindly request that the management address this matter with the staff member involved and consider providing additional training on diversity and inclusivity in customer service. I believe that fostering an environment of respect and equality is essential for ensuring a positive experience for all customers

Negative experience: was trying to pick up a game before christmas and was told i could come in the next day at 10 to pick it up, so i come in at 10 just for there to be a sign that says open at 11- so i come back at 11 just for no one to be there. its 11:45 currently. so whoever is opening on Thursday december 21 2023, you're incompetent and shouldn't have a job. there was multiple of us waiting and leaving- it's 4 days before christmas you should not be slacking like this. this is so ridiculous and unprofessional, this location is a joke.
Negative experience: Worst location, have employees who don't know what their doing and sell you wrong gaming system that you haven't paid for, lazy manager who is unorganized and doesn't know where any of her inventory is, if you buy here make sure you get the right items and everything works! They will scam you and not try to fix and own to their mistakes.
Fantastic experience: Had a great experience. Ariyan helped us. They said they were relatively new, but they were also incredibly knowledgeable. They suggested I hold off on purchasing a physical copy of a game with the XBox I bought, because said game was available for a fraction of the price with Game Pass. I purchased a different game that was not available online, and now I can enjoy both games and more. Very very happy with my visit and purchases and I'll definitely go to that GameStop first for future purchases. Thanks Ariyan!

Fantastic experience: Great store and staff. I order a whole bunch of games from the website during there 4 for 40 promo. upon receiving my order 90% ended up being in those horrible GameStop cases. I went into the Plaine street store and they took the time to search and swap out the majority of them with the Original cases that they had on hand, as well as examine an point out that some games where damaged that I didn’t notice and kindly swapped them out also. Thanks You for the awesome commitment

Negative experience: Earlier today my friend went to the Plain st Game Stop in Lowell while i waited in the car. He purchased 5 Pokémon packs, the person who rang him out was very rude and negative, basically trying to talk him out of buying them. We went to target then came back so I can buy some, I collect them as well. When I went in I could instantly tell who he meant by the guy with the bad attitude. I asked him if he had anymore Pokémon cards for sale? He just pointed to ‘over there’ then went back to texting on his phone. He then shouted that he’s not going to sell me any because my ‘husband’ already came in and bought 5. Since that’s the limit per person, he can’t sell me anymore? I asked him what he was talking about , he said because he saw the car I got out of he knew the man I was with bought some earlier and he refuses to sell me any. When I asked him if he didn’t see me get out of that car would he sell me any ? He said yup. That it’s Game Stop regulations… he kept talking about my ‘husband’ how we go there and do this a lot.. we’ve been in that store TOGETHER maybe twice..? Because we both collect cards and play video games..I’m not sure if he’s just racial profiling because we’re Asian or what.. but I’m very confused about how this was handled ..
Negative experience: This location had a PlayStation 5 in store event today. They had limited bundles for sale and long line. They allowed a number of people to stand outside in 3 degree weather in January, only allowing 1 person in the store at a time to purchase. Dozens of people waited outside needlessly for over an hour and a half when they could have just announced to the waiters that they only had x amount of bundles. Then if people wanted to wait, they could have. Very poor decision by the store manager.
Negative experience: Tried to trade in my Nintendo Switch on 11/8/2021 - Website told me I’d get 220$ cash as a pro member. Once I get to the store, they told me I’d only get 170$. I showed agent the website stating the offer, and they told me they were unable to do anything. I then called into Customer Service, and they told me that they are supposed to honor the online trade in offers. Fast forward a couple days later, and they told me that they cannot honor the offer because it is at the store’s discretion. Seems like GameStop isn’t worth my time and money anymore.

Positive experience: This Game stop can be very dirty and chaotic and many products were found to be mislabeled. Upon further inspection some "new" games were opened with manuals bent and crooked, but that could be a corporate issue and not a individual location problem. The only redeeming quality about this location is it's staff most don't try to force memberships down your throat and I have had many informative conversations with the staff. They also, are very knowledgeable when talking to parent who is buying for their kid telling them what is and isn't appropriate. Overall, this is a messy and unclean location with very friendly and helpful staff.
