Negative experience: Slowest place on the planet. 2 people in line in front of me and I waited 20 freaking minutes, put my stuff back and left. Thwy lost out on a sale of a PS5 and several games. Last time I'll go here, big box store it is.

Negative experience: Twice now I’ve gone to this GameStop to pick up preorders on release day, only to be told by the store manager, Michael, that they don’t have them. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. I expect better communication and reliability from a store handling preorders.

Negative experience: I was in your store this afternoon with my autistic son Dwayne. We were browsing DS games for his birthday, when I witnessed one your employees violently rip a controller out of a customers hand all while refusing to honor a deal you had posted in your store. I could not imagine an employee being that rude to a customer. My son hasn’t stopped crying since, it was a horrible thing to witness and that employee should be fired. We will never shop at this location again.

Negative experience: Stopped in today looking for PS5 controllers, and lo and behold there was a sale. 170 bucks, I was so excited I was going to buy 2 but when I went to check out the cashier told me they were 200 dollars. There were signs everywhere claiming 170 dollars. he RIPPED them out of my hand and blamed me for his poor sales skills. When I protested he called me a racial slur. He also hid his name tag so I couldn’t get his name to report to the higher ups. UNPROFESSIONAL. Do not go here.

Fantastic experience: I just called to ask about my grandson’s Nintendo switch issues and had a very good experience speaking with Dylan. He was able to tell me steps to take to possibly fix the issue and gave me information on what to do if those steps did not work. I appreciate it!

Negative experience: It's getting to the point where they don't open at a decent hour they open whenever they have someone in and they don't come in at a reasonable hour they come in whatever they please and they don't open the door until they're ready there is no opening at 12:00 or 11:00 or 10:00 whatever their hours say it's whenever they want to open their doors is when they're open and whenever they're closed is when they close there is no set schedule anymore apparently they're going off of what they want to do and not the scheduling to set by corporate do not come to this GameStop Edit okay it's been about 2 years it just about since I made this post originally and yes this GameStop still has the same issue You go here at 11:00 like it says on the website and no one's there doors are locked the bars are up and there's no way to get in there's no one inside the store lights are on but no one's home it's been like this for 2 years they're understaffed and apparently there's only one staff member that actually works there most the time and he just chooses when he comes in and goes he doesn't even follow the corporate guidelines so if you come to this GameStop expect to wait hours for someone to help or no one at all sometimes the scheme stop never even opens some days

Negative experience: Brought a ps5 in I wanted checked out, that I recently bought they unplugged it improperly wich when I brought it back home said it could of damaged the system due to being unplugged incorrectly and ain’t even look at it really and seemed like they was in a rush to get me out of the store with not a single customer in the store besides me self..‍♂️total waste of my time went to a different location and was a total diffrent atmosphere and Customer Service! So there not all to bad! But definitely wouldn’t recommend this one…

Negative experience: Purchased a brand new Xbox Series S, 1 day later the system stops powering on. The store can’t return it and states I need to call customer service to resolve the matter. Get sent a return label because the store cannot exchange the broken Xbox I was sold, get to FedEx to ship out the broken Xbox I bought and the return label doesn’t work. Will never purchase from GameStop again. Take your money elsewhere

Negative experience: Place is a joke, every single time I try to stop by there is a handwritten sign on the door saying they are on break and the door is locked. If they don't have enough staff why don't they just shut down. Guess I'll go to a different vendor/store. This is ridiculous

Negative experience: I walked in the GameStop I asked the guy what he had for PS4 controller, he said he’s all out let me check, walked in the back room, pulled the box out of used ones and gave me the price of what it would cost for a new one, scammers taking advantage of his inventory! Negative experience: Went to go buy a PS5, accessories and games. However the store was closed with a sign that says they stepped away at 3:53PM and will be back at 4:53PM (random times). Guess you missed out on a decent size sale. Jay’s down the road got the sale instead.

Positive experience: I love gamestop. I do. Been going here since this place has been open. From a review a while back i said they didn't game much of dbz tmnt power rangers and all that good stuff if your info that stuff as a youngin. But since then they did step up a little bit. They need more dbz but it seems like there getting there. Staff is always cool and friendly and try to help the best they can. Selling things to them well.....just depends on what it is. If it is newer seems like you get more but retro doesn't feel the same. But like i said this place is a good place to look at and see what they got going on

Negative experience: A good store itself is pretty good and most of the employees are kind, but the manager has been nothing but condescending and rude whenever an issue is presented. Also, their hours seem to change without warning - my husband checked online beforehand to make sure they were open and they were not. This has happened more than once. Again, when asked about it, the manager spoke to him as if he were stupid and told him “it was on their front door” when there is no way we could have known that beforehand as we live a significant drive from the store. Pretty frustrating, especially since this is the only place I believe we have ever experienced this.

Positive experience: Great looking store with a lot of nice displays and times of cool stuff. Great trade-in value on my merch. Great service from the guy at the counter, who was patient, friendly and helpful even though I came in just before closing with a moderately complex transaction (I'd never know from his behavior). He was clearly juggling a lot of things, including pre-closing stuff and at least two calls that came in while he was helping me. I would have been kind of a mess, lol. Only complaint is that I had a really hard time getting in touch with this store to check on an item that appeared to be in stock online- whenever I called it was either busy or nobody picked up. When I called another store they let me know about the limited hours here, which are posted on the door (pictured) but not on the googles or the company website.

Negative experience: My husband stopped to purchase a gift for our son today. There was no air conditioning in the store. He was told they have been without ac for about a month. It's over 100 degrees today in Des Moines Ia. Game Stop, could you please treat your employees better than cattle? They don't deserve to work in these conditions. The staff was pleasant and upbeat despite the uncomfortable conditions. Team 5 stars! Corporate get them some fans and portable air conditioners.

Negative experience: Went to pick up my animal crossing preorder and when the manager unlocked the door he addressed the crowd by saying "this is retarded and you're all killing yourselves, only one person is allowed in the store at a time." I have no issues with the way they wanted to hand out coppies but I didnt stand out in the cold to be insulted and criticized. I'm taking my business elsewhere.
