Negative experience: This has to be one of the worst GameStop locations I’ve ever had to deal with. The employees DO NOT pick up the phone. Over the last year you’ve had more 1 star reviews than anything. That’s saying something…

Negative experience: the guys don't even look up at you when you ask a question? don't expect anyone to greet you either. i get that you are busy but neglect is crazy.

Negative experience: Never have any new product. Was told they get 2 copies of RE9 a week. What is the point of this store?

Tony Gurule Posted on Google 3 months ago

Negative experience: Personally went there when they opened to trade in a few games to help me fill my tank with gas for work. Store Manager there was the only one there and was extremely rude to me and several others that walked in. The way he talked to me and the others felt like it was an inconvenience to serve us. That being said I understand i wasnt there to buy but the behavior and over all treatment was poor. Highly would recommend using other gamestops or game stores in general over this place highly recommend you guys find a new "store manager" he is likley to keep customers from coming back bad for business. Speaking from experience as a retail store manager.

Negative experience: Employee was pushy about the yearly GameStop subscription and shames people who don’t get the subscription. Bad customer service. Male with long hair and attitude does not know how to talk to people who don’t want an extra charge for shopping.

Negative experience: Been in this store a couple of times. My most recent was this past Saturday. I was on my electric scooter and decided to stop in. Was told after entering the store that I would have to leave my scooter at the front of the store because it were a trip hazard. That would make sense to me if I and the employee were weren’t the only ones in the store. I said no thanks and went to Best Buy instead and purchased a new PS5 controller. The employee wasn’t very nice about it and made me feel super uncomfortable like I were gonna steal something just because of the scooter. Can see why this location is always dead. Won’t be back.

Negative experience: $100 for a used copy of a 15 year old game that you can get for $10 on the online store is madness. Poor selection, wack prices. You know, game stop.

Chris S Posted on Google 5 months ago

Negative experience: I went to return an item that I ordered online and the lady said I couldn't because the box had a rip. I pointed out that it shouldn't matter because I didn't get what I ordered. She blamed the manufacturer and didn't even point me to the correct product in the store. I walked out frustrated, not knowing if I'd get my money back.

Negative experience: The male employee working tonight was extremely weird and clearly didn’t want any sales. Told us multiple times that they were closing in 5 mins. He just stood there staring at us after telling us the close time. I had 5 games in my hand but he clearly wanted me to leave so went to target and bought my games there. Easy decision. Canceling my pro membership.

Negative experience: Awful experience at this store! Didi was extremely rude, ZERO customer service skills. Embarrassing really. Based on this stores reviews I’m not the first one to have a negative experience here and unlikely to be the last. With all the people looking for work right now you should fire these terrible employees and hire anyone else.

Negative experience: Employee was helpful but who I assume was the manager was very rude, not just to his employees but to myself as well. I went in looking for gift cards and before the nice gentlemen with the glasses could even finish talking, he was being reprimanded in front of me looking rather uncomfortable. Then as I was checking out, the manager tried to up-sell on the membership (as is their job, totally fine) with a really poor salesman attitude. When I said thank you I'm not interested, he said multiple times "well I'm just telling you." I got what I needed, but I think the manager/trainer could use a refresher on professionalism and cadence.

Ozan Subaykan Posted on Google 5 months ago

Negative experience: The store and its employees are good, but the manager was very rude to not only his employees but then to my face. It was frankly unacceptable behavior and I think that man should be fired

Negative experience: Been shopping here since 05….. in the last six months that the long haired kid that dresses like he’s in elementary school has been working there customer services is completely dead….. He doesn’t acknowledge you when you enter and he has an attitude when you ask for help. I know it’s supposed to be said when I come to the store welcome to GameStop. How may I help you and if they’re with the customer welcome to GameStop I’ll be with you in a minute….. It’s not rocket science. It’s called basic customer service…. I went in yesterday because I had a problem with one of my purchases. He doesn’t acknowledge me so I say hey can I get some help please? He tells me he’s too busy lifts the long printing of stickers and then he tries to hand me a roll of stickers for games and tells me that he can help me after I help him. Then he took my problem personally and made it about him instead of GameStop and told me he doesn’t price the items game stop does. They overcharged me $130 on a box of cards and he refused to have the conversation.. They sold me a box of Marvel masterpieces for $260. They only MSRP all of the retailers for 150 to 184. So they overcharged me between 80 and almost $110 Ish He told me he was too busy to deal with me and threatened police and told me to go away or I would be trespassed. I pulled out my phone and started recording and he ran and hid in the back room.. He was also wearing the same clothes from the day before, and he doesn’t brush his teeth and physically reflects his personality. Dude’s a manager, and can’t even manage himself I advise you to shop at the Lynnwood store just stop using the store…. I called Lynnwood after this happened and the Lynnwood store was so amazing I was reminded the GameStop still does have really good. Customer service — just not the Everett store… Alex the manager at lynnwood is amazing. Thanks for being a G Alex I appreciate you

Negative experience: I have called 5 times in the last 3 hours to confirm if they have a game that I’m looking to buy and some gear, it appears that they are incapable of picking up the phone. Great way to lose business guys.

Negative experience: I completely wasted my time at this store today. The woman , who told me she is manager (short, wearing glasses) was extremely rude and unprofessional. She spoke in a disrespectful tone, couldn’t clearly explain the rules of one of their promotions, and acted as if answering a simple question was a burden. With customer service like this, I won’t be coming back. Very disappointing experience!!!

Fantastic experience: Good prices and great service!

Kaci Davis Posted on Google 5 months ago

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Rude. Condescending. Unhelpful. Sister went to buy literally 3 packs of Pokémon and a small tin for our brother for Christmas, she got treated like she was some scalper or something. Went in once to get the tin and I asked if she could go back in literally 2 minutes later to get 3 individual packs, she waited in line just to get told she needs to bring back in the receipt of the thing SHE JUST GOT when the same person who checked her out was standing RIGHT THERE..she then had to wait in line AGAIN, got to the front just to be given a lecture by someone who wasn’t even checking her out about the pro membership being in my name and not hers (I was on the phone the whole time) Kept repeating “it’s not a big deal” but continued to bring it up like 5 times. THEN, some lady right next to her left, came back in to get another big box, and was greeted back in again with no problems and no asking of receipts! Completely unprofessional, we definitely won’t be back and I’m going to cancel my pro membership because of this. They sell stuff cheaper at other places anyway. Theodora, Christopher, and the other guy that was there need to get some customer service training, don’t project your frustrations about scalpers to customers who are barely getting anything.

Negative experience: If there is a shorter lady wearing a mask here, turn around and leave. She’s absolutely terrible. I’ve been into this GameStop 4 or 5 time and if she’s working, she literally turns business away, she’s rude and just unhappy with her job. Not sure how she’s still employed.

Negative experience: I was at this GameStop today to buy God of war. After I selected a game I went to the counter to check out and I noticed that the employee (he was the only one running the store) was stocking a shelf away from the register. He had taken notice of me waiting to check out but was still finishing stocking the shelf. I did not want to disrupt him as he was clearly a bit busy. When he finally finished he approached the counter and said to me, "You don't say anything?" This caught me off guard and I found it very unprofessional and rude. I responded with, "you looked busy" to which he retorted with "I said hello to you when you came in." I considered leaving the game behind and not return to this store due to this pathetic behavior from this man. If management reads this please speak to this man and ensure that he corrects his lack of professionalism. The gentlemen in question is a tall white male with medium brown hair. I didn't see a name tag but if he reads this know that your pathetic demeanor will condemn you to be a store clerk for life.

Positive experience: Busy! Pack patience if you want to find something special. They stopped carrying any regular quantities of pokemon booster packs.

Brandon Howard Posted on Google 9 months ago

Negative experience: They are still lying to customers about Pro memberships. Disgraceful treatment of customers when their tactics are called out.

Vianna Valdez Posted on Google 10 months ago

Negative experience: I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough to speak up. I went with a group to buy some Pokémon cards, and both cashiers seemed irritated from the start. They were aggressively pushing a membership, and when we declined, one of them implied we were “insensible” while the other egged him on. From other reviews, the negative descriptions given of the store manager seems to match accurately with the dude helping me out. Additionally, my group and I all called the store during separate occasions prior to going in store and their rudeness even shined through over the phone for my entire group!! Their attitude was rude and unprofessional, making the ENTIRE interaction uncomfortable. If you’re a collector, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere because it will most certainly kill the joy of adding to your collection. This place clearly needs to retrain their staff on how to treat customers, I wish I could give a zero star review.

Negative experience: Im super bummed because I went to submit pokemon cards for the first time ever to PSA. I chose to use gamestop to make it easier. The man helping me was so kind and we put the cards into sleeves needed to send them, (they were in toploaders and he said they need to be semi-rigid). The assistant manager chimed in and said I have to have a gamestop pro account to submit through them. I quickly googled it and comfirmed I did not need to have one. She insisted that I cannot submit thtough them unless i have a pro account and told me I could LEAVE. My cards were still in the sleeves the other man gave me so they charged me for them and I left. I felt so bad for the man helping me in the first place. It was a horrible experience. I understand that they have to sell these memberships but she took it way too far and I will never ever go back there. I just didn't want a dang membership.

Negative experience: There is a lady that works there that is an absolute nightmare she has no customer service always assuming people are trying to steal and just an overall rude person do better game stop yall need to hire people that enjoy the hobby instead of people that are just there for the paycheck lol. To the girl iam speaking of you need to smile at the world and it will smile back. I understand people have bad days but every time I have came in contact with you your just rude and actually because you didn’t like what I said you just hung up on me wow that’s so incredibly unprofessional I will be escalating this to corporate as well because iam so offended of how you treat people it’s horrible. Update I just looked holy crap obviously the owner doesn’t care either no response to any of the 30 one star reviews. Yes iam going to speak with corporate Monday morning cause this is outta control!!!

Negative experience: I’m doing the location two stars because this Actual store had great inventory and a display. However, my experience with the employee was terrible. I bought a game console and I did not want to give my email cause I get so much spam. The worker rudely said and ask a question you don’t want to give your email? Like it was some kind of a big deal. I don’t like getting spam and there was no incentive other than getting a pro free membership which I really opted out of as I buy most of my stuff online. I also had my two kids with me. The worker made my kids uncomfortable, and my son was even whispering to me in fear, like scared. They had no bathroom as my son needed to go really bad and that was also inconvenient. The worker also asked me to buy all sorts of extras Which I opted out of, but he was not happy about that. Overall my experience was terrible due to the workers attitude, it’s like he did not want to be working there and a poor representation for the company given the experience i almost wanted to give a one star but I once again will give two stars because the store was pretty cool inside. I highly suggest that they trained their employees to have better customer service and not make things opinionated or rude to the point where they disagree with you on what your wants are.

Negative experience: Honestly have wanted to like this store, its close to me. But each time ive come in their the employees are just miserable. Kills the vibe of wanting to spend anything there. But target is in same lot and offers games typically for less and not opened trying to claim “ its new”

Negative experience: Worst customer service! They never answer the phone and when they do they are rude as hell. The store employee didn’t want to sell me a etb of Pokemon because he stated that he was buying it after his shift.

daniel montes Posted on Google 11 months ago

Negative experience: This is probably the worst GameStop in existence. They never answer the phone. Employees buy out official release products. Theirs favoritism and shady deals done with individuals that don’t wait in line like the rest of us. One time I asked for Pokemon cards and their response was “NO! If there was any I’d buy it!” Oh and did I mention that they never answer their phone! Like never not any time of the day. I actually called the store once while being the only one in the store and guess what, they didn’t answer the phone lol This store needs new management and employees!

John Robe Posted on Google 11 months ago

Negative experience: The employees lied to me at checkout during the Switch 2 launch, and I was cheated out of $25. They added, without asking, a Gamestop Pro membership to the checkout of the Switch 2 console and swore up and down that the Pro membership was actually being discounted from the purchase price, even though the math wasn't adding up. They then pointed to the sign where any purchase over $250 qualifies for a free pro membership, so they were adding it to all console purchases because it would get you free rewards. The fine print of the promotion however, EXPLICITLY EXCLUDES THE SKU for the Switch 2, which the Manager of the store who was checking me out either did or at least should have known about! So at least 60 people who stood in line for 5 hours for the Nintendo Switch 2 launch were swindled out of $25 for pro memberships which they may have not wanted, that automatically setup auto-renew. I would 1. like an apology, and 2. like a refund of my $25 that I was lied to about.

Negative experience: Today’s visit at Everett Gamestop was appalling. It’s a shame I have to take the time to call my bank and dispute a transaction for $94, because of the manager’s fault. I believe their name was Matt. But, I had made a purchase for a One Piece mouse pad, a One Piece enamel pin, a One Piece phone mount/figurine display, and a Dragon Ball Z, with Shenron graphic design, t-shirt. The employee that was assisting me with the purchase was super kind and engaging, and I had used a GameStop pro membership at the time of purchase. I inputted my card in the pin pad, got the approved message, and was waiting with the employee while their system was processing the receipt. I wasn’t in any rush, but I didn’t want to hold up the line behind me, over a receipt, so I asked the employee if I’m okay to head out with my stuff, since I did not need a receipt. Defiantly ate those words later. I thought everything was good, so I walked out the store, just to be stopped by the manager, Matt, and asked to come back inside because I needed a receipt for the transaction. Im confused but it’s not really a big deal, I head back inside, stuff in hand cause they don’t ever have bags at this location, and wait while the manager pulls up the transaction on the system next to the register I had made my purchase on. This is all fine and whatever with me, machines are faulty, and transactions have issues. I don’t care about all that. It was the way the manager was talking to the employee—absolutely revolting and ugly. He thought that by putting his hands over his mouth, cupping them, leaning closer to the employee, while they berated them, for not giving a receipt, and how this is a repeat issue for them, essentially just being rude and disrespectful to an employee, while a store full of customers, besides myself, were made extremely uncomfortable by the scene, was being discreet? I don’t know. I understand having a bad day, bad attitude, just caught off guard and snapping, but that does not make any of it okay, in the slightest. Especially since the employee wasn’t even being disrespectful back, or raising their voice, or anything but politely defending themselves that what the manager was saying, about them having a repeated issue that needed addressing, was not true. And this is a conversation that needs to be had, calmly, respectfully, in the privacy of a manager’s office of the back of the employee room, never in front of customers, and NEVER like that. At this point, I honestly felt like it was my fault for the employee getting disrespected like that, because I could’ve waited longer, until the system did whatever it needed to do. The manager tried apologizing to me and doing the transaction again, but he left a sour taste in my mouth and I didn’t want to be near him or in the store anymore. I told him I was no longer interested in the items, not knowing my card was already charged at the time, and asked him to direct his apology to the employee, not me, and walked out. After I got home and ran some errands, I noticed the charge was there, but no email receipt from the pro membership account that was used at purchase. So I go back to the store, no manager in sight, but it’s the same employee from earlier. I explain about the charge, and they tried helping me find something to show proof of items purchased, but their systems were seriously messed up today and it didn’t even register my transaction, even though my bank did and my money was gone. The employee wanted to help me get the items I wanted, still, which was super kind of them, but after they told me that their manager threatened to fire them, after I had left the store, I didn’t want to cause more issues for him. The employees at this GameStop definitely deserve a healthier and more productive work culture. And the manager could use training in leadership skills. Or the store could use a new manager. Now I get to spend two hours on the phone with my bank, then wait about 1-2 weeks for my refund, as I dispute this transaction. This review will be used for the dispute. Thanks.

Negative experience: GameStop 305 SE Everett Mall Way #25, Everett, WA 98208 You know what, I'm sick of this place. I don't give a crap, you don't get to say "No, you can't have what you paid for, we have stuff going on". It will take you ONE DAMN MINUTE to go grab what's mine and hand it to me. Even the other customers were like "Just help the guy, he already paid. He's not holding anything up."

Negative experience: I was in the neighborhood and thought I’d stop by to use my five-dollar reward that I never ended up using. While browsing, I saw a sign that said “Buy Two, Get One Free.” I asked the guy at the register because I had two games I liked. He said, “Yes, pick another game,” so while he was grabbing my games, I grabbed one more. After about 15 minutes of scanning the games multiple times and trying different things, his manager stepped in and realized they had put the signs up a week early. After wasting about 20 minutes of my time, I decided to walk out of the store because they refused to honor the promotion.

Fantastic experience: If you’re trying to sell a console or any video games, this is the best place to do it. Store manager was very patient, and very kind. He was very helpful at helping the customers before me. I was afraid of making someone irritated because I know selling consoles takes time to look over for quality, but the store manager was very patient and kind. Will recommend to friends in the future.

Negative experience: Manager with the leather jacket was scolding another worker, in a very condescending tone. His attitude and approach had everyone uncomfortable in the store. I asked the guy being scolded and he mentioned he was trying not to cry. To not do it during a quiet moment and while customers were waiting was super unprofessional. The way he also took the feedback was very rude. If you work in customer service, you shouldn't be as socially inept as the manager at this store. First time I've ever wrote a bad review in my life

Negative experience: Charging scalper prices on cards and forcing you to sign up for a pro membership is insane...

Myk Lacey Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: I went in this location to buy a game and a Micro SD card for the switch. The game I bought had a tag of $40, and the MicroSD card had a tag of $26. I bring them up to the counter, and my grand total is almost $100. I asked about the discrepancy on the stickers on the box, and they just said it changes daily. They never brought up the discrepancy in the price. If I wasn't paying attention, they would have fleeced me of 30 extra dollars. This store is a joke. Except jokes make you feel good.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at this location, this guy Matthew who apparently it’s the manager or at least that is what it says on his handwriting badge. Anyways this dude gave me a terrible attitude, I don’t even understand what the hell this guy is doing there if he does not know how to interact with customers who are going to pay for their purchases!! Rude, disrespectful with the customer and handled the products in a really aggressive way

Negative experience: was at my local game stop waiting for the blooming waters drop at 3am, waiting for 7 hours in below freezing temperature. The sign at the front of their door said "2 SKU per person." However, when the lady came to open the door, she announced that she "changed" it to 1 item per person. I thought that this was a first come first serve situation, and that GameStop promised a 2 item limit on blooming waters. Yet this lady thinks that she can just change the rules after I and a few other people waited since 3 am?? Unacceptable.

Negative experience: Guy with the long hair’s attitude sucks. Name is Matthew i think. Wouldn’t even look at me in the eyes or acknowledge me as a person, talked to me with attitude when I had a simple question was simply standing there obviously waiting not wanting to interrupt the customer he was already ringing up. This location has gone extremely downhill the past year. Definitely won’t be returning and I have been going to this location for years. Pretty disappointing. maybe don’t work retail if you can’t comprehend one simple interaction could make someone not come back entirely. Something as simple as eye contact could go a long way.

Negative experience: Came here to pick up order after receiving email saying its ready to pick up, employee can’t find my order then tells me he has to give me a used copy instead of a brand new sealed copy and tells me its the “same thing”. He then lies to me saying that its because I ordered the last one in stock that I get the open box except that when I placed my order there were multiple in stock. Pretty funny considering right when I walked into the store he was complaining to another customer that the other employees “don’t want to work”. Avoid this dumpster store

Steven Zingale Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: The employee that handled my purchase is far too aggressive when it came to pushing to renew my pro membership. I don't know if it's of his own volition, or his boss is telling him to use such aggressive and inappropriate communication methods, but it's not okay. Other reviews have described similar experiences. When a customer says no the first, second, and third time, it should be respected. He kept trying to tell me that I shop here way more often than I think I do due to my measly 5000 points and tried to use that to really push me to renew. It felt like I was being called a liar without him outright saying it. I just wanted to purchase my Zelda themed holiday wrapping paper and be on my way.

Negative experience: I've been going to Gamestop since I was a kid, and never before have I had a bad experience like I did this day. I called ahead and was told they could do a console trade by a friendly voice. When we showed up we were greeted nicely at the door. Once we made it to the counter with our console for trade in, the guy behind the counter said he was the only one capable of doing a console trade that day while making long sighs about it being Black Friday, that he just wanted to take a break, and stated we should come back another day. We left immediately after this and went to the Lynnwood Gamestop where we received proper service. I'd give it a one star, except the other interactions were pleasant.

Negative experience: I had one of the worst retail experiences at this location. I went in buy some Pokémon cards, but the employee refused to let me buy them unless I signed up for their membership. I politely declined multiple times, but instead of respecting my decision, he resorted to guilt-tripping and manipulation. He started going on about how his employee performance would suffer if I didn’t sign up for the subscription, making me feel like I was personally responsible for his job issues. It was incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional. I came in for a simple purchase, not to be pressured into something I didn’t want. On top of that, the guy had such a nasty attitude, which just added to the awkwardness of the whole interaction. I left without the cards I wanted and with no intention of coming back. Avoid this location if you value your time

Positive experience: Sorry a release was today and the store wasn't open at 12pm. Now I have to go somewhere else to get my pre-order. Very unprofessional on keeping up with hours of operation.

Fantastic experience: Good service

Negative experience: Small selection, not enough employees working for the line, and overpriced for used games. They took out most of the displays around the store, so it just had product on the walls. Got rid of a lot of games to put up stuffed animals AnD toys. Maybe change the name to toy stop cuz it has more toys than games!

Fantastic experience: I am giving you five stars for your staunch Pokemon go gym retention skills. My knuckles now have arthritis and my fingerprints are now gone, however I was victorious. With this kind of attention to detail and camaraderie, the employees here must be dedicated and stalwart.

Negative experience: Came in to trade my Xbox one. The gentleman on the phone told me one price and no mention of necessary updates. Get off work. Drive it up. Lady at the counter is now mentioning that "it needs to have the latest update" and they can't update it there? Lies. Anyway, no price from her. Go home, go through the hassle of unpacking it and plugging it in to update. Took me 15 min. Call them again because the whole in store experience felt weird, ingenuine plus I never got a buy price from the lady. Guy on the phone tells me a completely different price from the others and $100 less than the first gentleman. Then goes on to tell me that if I wanted to sell it to them it would have to be tomorrow because " I've got alot to do before closing" Mind you, it was literally 7:15pm I live 10 min away and they don't close until 9pm. Unprofessional, ingenuine, lazy. In the end they wanted to give me a little over $100 for my system that they intend to sell for $279.99

Fantastic experience: Would like to give a shout out to Jake and this store. Helped me test my controller and gave some suggestions to help me fix it. I took his suggestions and it’s now working perfectly. I appreciate Jake taking the time to make sure I was taken care of. I’ve renewed my membership with GameStop and will be a more frequent visitor because of his great service. (The other Gamestoper was also very nice but didn’t catch her name.) Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I buy storage units so this is where I take video games, accessories, and consoles. They pay the same as selling on ebay or offerup without the sometimes sketchy meet ups.
