Negative experience: Seriously If you want a bad experience goto this store l, never greeted. Stood by the cabinet to purchase two collectibles and not once got asked if needed help just stood there… when I eventually bought something never once was I thanked just a simple “mmhmm” when I said thank you! Negative experience: Wanted to return some games and asked if I was able to do cash back, would have considered taking store credit if the answer was no, but the middle aged bald dude (don’t know his name) was pretentious and had an attitude from the very first moment I walked in. The other employee was neutral and was trying to be helpful, but the old bald dude kept interrupting her (when neither of us asked him for help and he was sitting down on a chair several feet away). Bald dude also kept making remarks about how one of the games I was trying to trade in was “the worst in the franchise” as if that, or his opinion, mattered when I was trying to make a transaction. He also wrongfully claimed Mass Effect: Andromeda to be remastered when it is not, it is backwards compatible, and claimed that the Star Wars: Battlefront 2 servers had been shut down when they are still active on both console and PC. Wouldn’t recommend doing business here with employees who have bad attitudes and lack product knowledge.

Negative experience: One heavy set woman employee with glasses who was working today, November 26, 2025 @ 5:15pm was very unpleasant. Deliberately skipped a person in line to help the person behind him. Had an attitude the entire time. The other male employee added a star for me because he was so kind and helpful!

Negative experience: Bought a game earlier. When I got home, I saw ‘Yolanda’ charged me an extra 15$ for a membership I did not agree to join. I called the store, and they agreed to fix everything if I came back… But when I drove back, that’s not what happened. Instead, Yolanda decides to argue about how she did me a favor by charging me without consent, and tries to lecture me on the perks of membership. I tell her I’m not interested in any of it, she then refuses to refund me. I’ve been to many Gamestops, and none have tried to pull a shady move like this before.

Negative experience: The manager Ian was rude and not helpful at all. I waited 30 minutes cause they couldn’t find the promo policy for a free comic book. I called the day before and was told different information. Bad experience overall and I would choose a different GameStop. Not welcoming at all. I left without getting the FREE comic book

Fantastic experience: I’ve been here a couple times and it’s always a good experience. Employees are attentive and kind especially Ian. Answers questions with kindness and patience and by far one of the nicest GameStop employees I’ve encountered. Store should hang to him at all costs 5/5

Negative experience: This location needs to get their Pokemon card drops more organized! You have people lined up at all entrances and then security doest do much! Assign one specific door entrance because then you have people cutting the like and letting buildAbear employees cut the line because they're employees!

Positive experience: Decently large GameStop but everything was spread out so I didn’t feel like they had more items in stock. Pretty average selection of games and Popculture nicknacks compared to other GameStop’s. I didn’t have any interaction with the staff, they didn’t seem overly friendly or concerned about customer service but I would say that’s on par for GameStop. Overall very average.

Negative experience: Theres no retro section anymore. If you want to see what selection of retro games they have, you have to ask an employee who then has to either list off and pull out any game youre interested in, or print off a list for you to look at. all the other stores in the area have a case showing off their older games. what happened to this store?? really disappointing.

Negative experience: this store was a lot more lively when the girls were still around. there was a girl with long, brown hair with the loveliest humor, and another girl with long blonde hair that was just the sweetest. now the store is ran entirely by men that have no interest in what they're selling, and create an uncomfortable environment to hang around in. you can no longer have a genuine conversation with the new people, with the old girls it felt like you could really connect to them.

Negative experience: the store manager, jewel, is almost constantly on a call through the earphone in his ear. it's also super uncomfortable when he yells greetings across the store, and gives you no time to shop before coming up to you and pestering you about help. i know his job is to help, but i've barely been through the door and im already being bothered. im usually a frequent shopper in the fox valley mall, but seeing him in the stores deters me from gamestop entirely.

Negative experience: This GameStop used to be great. I remember shopping here frequently when our kids were small. The store was always clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Fast forward to present day. This location is a shell of what it used to be. It smelled so bad inside that my wife walked out immediately. I tried to stay and look around but the stench and gross floors ushered me out as well. The staff seemed indifferent. Other GameStop locations in the area are much, much better.

Positive experience: Hehe, I usually stop in while the family shops and I feel bad for the staff that work there. They seem pretty miserable and don't really interact with customers unless they ring you out. I've been to other GameStop and usually get greet you and this opens up the dialogue to help with finding a game or let me know upcoming titles and preorder goods. Video game inventory is pretty poor. Can't say I recommend stopping in unless you need to kill time and that's up for debate.

Negative experience: Huge store, which would be great, but couldn't go in. ? As some other stores have started requiring masks on again, they have reposted their signs. At time of visit, this store had a piece of paper that someone scribbled with sharpie, something about masks?? Then the one staff with mask on, behind plexiglass, 30ft away is saying something about Masks required. ? There were zero customers in store. Other stores in the mall, that required masks, had clear signs pointing that out. Was shocked by Gamestop, as were others that were turned away.

Positive experience: This GameStop doesn't have the selection it once did. Here you can find only the latest and most popular games and accessories, but nothing else. They have also shifted more towards merchandise, which isn't a bad thing, but the store has a lot of empty space that I'm surprised they aren't utilizing.
