Positive experience: Was alright, nothing to really complain about

Negative experience: Complete incompetence at this store. Employees are unprofessional and also they never answer the phone.

Negative experience: Man what?! Closed at 7:30 pm on a Friday?! For lunch?! The store closes at 9?? Who closes down the whole store to take a lunch 2 hours before closing?!

Negative experience: The store itself is ok if youre not looking for anything too specific because they never stock enough new games and now its more like a nerdier Spencers with all the stuffed animals and collectibles but what kills me is that they never and I do mean never answer the phone. I want to love it so badly because I grew up with gamestop but the trussville location just isnt it. You can literally call any other gamestop around Alabama and outside of 1 or 2 that are actually probably busy you will get an answer but never, will you get an answer with trussville for some reason. Help me turn this into a five star review by just doing better.

Negative experience: Very bad customer service. I have called multiple times throughout 2 hours and still no answer. I also called yesterday a few times and they didn’t answer.

Fantastic experience: I just want to shoutout James for all the help he assisted me with last night. I went in not knowing what game I wanted to get my for my son who’s 11 going on 12, that’s transitioning into a pre teen for a Nintendo switch. I wanted a game for him that he could enjoy for his age, but that also wasn’t too childlike for my son’s age. I really appreciate how knowledgeable and informative James is. I’ll definitely be back to give my business to this location.

Negative experience: Does anyone work here? I’ve tried calling 8 times in the past two days and no one answers. It would be super cute and helpful if someone actually answered the phone.

Negative experience: lmao went to GameStop in Hoover and was told they didn’t have any Gameboy Advance SP games and the worker recommended me the GameStop in Trussville (here) had plenty of them and they were the retro shop, I get here and look around, ask where they are and was quickly cut off and told they would all be where I had been looking there were none. Terrible.

Negative experience: I went in and grabbed what I needed and when we went to check out, the man was very rude and once we got home, the Wii remote we bought didn’t work and I’ve been trying to call for two hours and no one’s answering!

Negative experience: 25 minutes before close and before we could get through the door, Cole, your associate was shaking his head and we didn’t make it to the counter before he stated they have 20 minutes to close so he won’t buy our games. I get it, I worked retail… but 25 mins? It seems as if he was pre occupied flirting with co worker in the flannel.

Negative experience: The store was nice but the employee there gave me hard time because I didn’t like one part of a game he really liked and proceeded to be flippant and disrespectful the whole time I was there with my friends. I emailed a complaint because I don’t deserve to be treated that way, especially as a customer, whenever I have an opinion about a game. And it’s not like I didn’t enjoy the game; there was just one portion that I didn’t like and he proceeded to act like a jerk. And it had been years since I came back to a GameStop. Ruined the whole experience for me.

He was super helpful and patient while I traded in my old consoles for a new PS5, making the process easy and stress-free. Simon is a fantastic representative for the company—his excellent customer service makes me want to come back again!

Positive experience: The staff was very friendly on my visit. Considerably varied selection. Prices are a bit on the high side. However, if you want a game/accessory and can't wait on a delivery option, Gamestop is a good option for gently used items.

Negative experience: Its a side hustle for paramedics / first responders to flip new PS5 and Xbox , they know when the new shipment comes in and buy them out and flip them for quick cash. Nothing wrong with the concept but when the guys are on the clock getting paid and loading them up in an ambulance in front of the store that's a joke. Something should be done about it. Im not mad about not being able to buy a ps5 , its the fact that government employees paid to serve the community spend there time like this.

He entire staff actually enjoys games and enjoy talking about it, none of them are rude or snappy and they keep a very clean, well stocked, tidy, and child friendly location.

He was extremely knowledgeable about different consoles and compatibility of games. I appreciate his help and how friendly he was. The store is nice and well kept. Positive experience: This store is considered to be the "hub" store for Jefferson County. So with that being said if you come into this one, expect to find a lot of different things that are loosely related to video games. Came in here for a new controller and was satisfied with the selection on offer. The biggest negative I would say is that even though it is the hub store their selection of games is still just as limited as all other locations. Staff are super friendly though

Positive experience: I come here all the time!! I love the deals that they have on current gen consoles. I think they are steep on new games (or I am just cheap) so I usually only buy the super used and discounted games. The staff members are always super friendly and knowledgeable about the games they are selling. I don’t like having to have a membership or being asked 9 questions to try and get more money out of me when I buy a discounted game. The warranty is not worth $2 on a game that costs $9.99, but all in all I enjoy going here with my godless Heathen children on a weekly basis.

Positive experience: Some games I bought were very dirty and my console wouldn't read them the first few times I inserted them. However, I cleaned them and they work fine now. Overall, in the store, employees were very nice and helpful.
