Fantastic experience: Family run operation that is shockingly well run. Prices are fair and staff are kind and knowledgable. Could not ask for more from a game shop. Biggest selection of new and used PS5 games I’ve ever seen at a local spot. A must-visit for any video game lover in or around Springfield.

Negative experience: If the sun bleached, unpriced, unorganized strategy guides in the front window that have been like that for over a decade doesn't tell you enough about the quality of this store, wait until you walk further in.

Negative experience: The good days are over folks, i remember in 2002 i bought nintendo NES games from them for $0.50 to a $1. Got battletoads double dragon for $0.50 and now its worth over $50. They price their games now based on internet prices, last time i was there was 8 years ago i asked them how much for a NES Console and they said $60, that shit was yellowed from sitting in the sun by the window for years and was missing the little door, after hearing that outrageous shit i never came back... The good ol days are over.

Helpful and friendly staff, at or below market value pricing, rare and obscure titles and they are always willing to check to make sure you are getting the most for your trade. I nearly exclusively deal with Game Hunters now and they have a customer for life.

Fantastic experience: The person in charge is one of the coolest most understanding dudes around! He is always in a good mood and genuinely wants to help you out. They have a lot of rare games and at a decent price too. Whenever I come in I always leave feeling extremely happy.

My family and I drove here to purchase a game for my brother’s Nintendo Switch. We picked out "New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe". After leaving and trying it out for a bit, it wasn’t uh... quite what we expected. So, we called the employee that sold the game to us wondering if we could exchange it, and he accepted no problem! We eventually claimed "Super Mario Odyssey", and was happy with that title instead! I’d recommend this place because it has a wide variety of games & consoles (modern/retro) you’re looking for and at decent prices...

Negative experience: They can’t even answer the damn phone when u call it either rings or goes to voicemail so unprofessional how u guys wanna sell ur stuff when u can’t even answer a phone call

Fantastic experience: I’ve done multiple deals with this guy and waited to give a review till I knew more how he ran the place. He’s always been fair, has tons of knowledge on pointing you in the right direction of certain games, and most of all, stands behind his products (within warranty of course). I got a game that didn’t want to load sometimes, he no problem swapped it out and on my way. The way business should be done. I tell everyone about it.

I've been coming here for over a year at the time of writing this review, when I needed a place to trade in my unwanted games. The owner is super chill and always has the deals, whether it's for games, action figures, or anything related to gaming, from retro/old, to modern and new releases. As I mentioned before, prices here are hard to beat. They'll never rip you off here since they price-check their wares to ensure you get the fairest deals. And there's always new stuff coming in every week, so there's something for everyone here often. Love this store, I highly recommend, you know it's legit when they got sunlight-damaged boxes out in the front of the store windows haha

Negative experience: I've been a customer since the father opened the store across from CVS. I watched the kids who run it now grow up. They are just horrendous with customer service and should be looked into. They lost a customer since day 1. Beware

Fantastic experience: I went there for my first time and got two Sonic games for almost 24 bucks!!! That is insane!! Regularly, the fee prolly woulda been 100 dollars. This store is amazing and I hope it stays that way.

Fantastic experience: A friend of mine told me about this place and i gotta say my first time going was great. No issues. A lot of stuff i had to trade in for cash i felt the price was reasonable. The amount i got i don't think other places would be the same but probably way lower. Definitely a spot i would revisit to do buisness or just buy.

If you look to see your systems or games don’t bother you will get less that 40%, then they will sell the game or system for close to double. It’s a business I get that but it’s was NEVER LIKE THIS BEFORE! Rather go to any other game store now smh.

I called to ask if they had copies of Horizon Forbidden West on its release day and they not only had them but put one aside for us under my name. And the store itself was so cool - they had games I haven’t seen since I was a kid and it was a treasure trove of DVDs and games of all kinds and all consoles. Just a very very cool place with kind and helpful people working there. I’ll definitely be going back!

Negative experience: This rating is not about the owners or the workers. This is about the overall condition of the store. The last Time I went in there it smelled pretty funky, place just needs a big over haul And it would be a pretty nice looking store.

Positive experience: They are good but idk about the prices for some games they go off of how much they selling for not how much they sold for

Negative experience: My friend and I (true blue gamers and game/console collectors) truly want to like this store. They do have an impressive selection of game titles but they also have a lot of games that are in poor condition or with light damage (severely faded covers). The store is small, very grungy and very dirty atmosphere. Nothing is priced and they claim (upon asking) to price by Gamestop's prices, they said that they try to go a little less . Of course upon further inspection and several visits, we found that to be a complete lie. My friend and I caught them lying to us more than once, fabricating prices for games inquired about. And we asked why would they put a 20% increase instead of a lower price like previously told. They refused to answer and chose to ignore us instead. Business will not be done here again and will never be recommended to anyone, ever. If the right people own that business? It would be such an amazing experience but unfortunately with the current employees and ownership? You're best to take your business elsewhere
