Experiencia negativa: Drove all the way to the store which is supposed to open at 11am but the security gate was still down and it was locked despite it being well after 11.. I waited until 11:30 and it still was closed. The lights were on though but whoever was supposed to be working there was hiding in the back. I also tried to call several times but no one would answer the phone.

Experiencia fantástica: This was my first time at this GameStop location living in Eastern Tennessee for over a decade. I've had a lot of experiences with local game stores. I generally don't have much of a problem and this place was no exception. In fact, the service received from Tony who currently works there was excellent. His knowledge on games was more than exceptional. And his willingness to answer all the questions. Even the ones from my 12-year-old showed that he has great customer service skills as well as a desire for people to achieve their goal in the store. Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: My wife and I came in today to trade our Nintendo switch in for a switch 2. Steven was able to help us out with the trade in and getting all of our data switched over. He was absolutely amazing and very patient and professional with us. He really went out of his way to make our visit as pleasant possible. He was also very knowledgeable about the switch and switch 2 and what games would be able to move over and what games we could upgrade. Steven made this a 10 out of 10 experience!

Experiencia negativa: I drive for a third party company. I came to the store to pick up an order. It was 7:25. The door was locked with a sign on the door saying that they were closed from 7:20 and would be back at 8:05. This location closes at 8:00 today. It wasted my time. It wasted my gas. My customer did not get his product. I was not paid. I'm not angry, I'm just tired of the lack of professionalism from businesses in this area.

Experiencia negativa: On a previous date and time recently, I went to the store to find a game system conducive for a late 50s person. Transparently, I am ignorant to new gaming technolgy. Based upon knowledge and conversation with the lady in the picture, I decided to purchase the PS5 portable. Before I made the purchase, the associate assured myself could download most games to include call of duty modern warefare. Upon unboxing at home, I discovered the downloads were limited to catalog only. Upon my purchase frustration, I attempted to return the item. Upon speaking with manager in picture, he stated could not return item per store policy. Although stated on the receipt of policy, I stated the associate told me could return if not satisfied. The manager, very rude and insulting, stated should have done my home work and understood my wants and need. The associate, next to manager, rudely stated it states the policy on receipt. At this point, the clerk was very nervous and red in the face. As the only minority in the store, I felt very insulted by the manner of customer service. I stated the store video would cooberate my situation. The manager rudely stated the video does not have audio. Although the clerk gave me bad info and unable to return, I am advising customers to avoid this store and purchase from Best Buy. This is the worst customer service experienced in long time. Buyers please beware of this store. I am also reporting this store to the Better Business Bureu

Experiencia negativa: PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BUYING HERE: I am reporting this store to the better business bureau. I clearly stated to the guy that I did not want to renew any memberships and I was only there to make a purchase. When i came into the store he was working with another customer so I patiently waited. He then stopped to ask me why I came in today which was awesome. However, once i said i was buying a console, he stopped helping the other customer and started helping me which i felt a little uncomfortable about. I completed the transaction but upon doing it he asked me about subscriptions and I clearly said no im not interested. He asked me again am I sure? and i said yes politely. Now, I come home with charges on my statement a month later from GameStop subscriptions. Every body has metrics they work at within their job, but its up to the employees and the company to work ethically to meet their metrics and quotas. If obtaining your metric for that subscription was so important that you had to steal, well I'm sorry your sales skills weren't capable of overcoming my objection or making it on other sales to better achieve the metric. You will never get better cheating yourself or your customers. I'm letting yall know now, I will be coming up there and I will confront this guy. This is not okay and we will have it out as men. Robbery is robbery no matter how big the charge!

Experiencia negativa: When I came to this store in the past there was a knowledgeable friendly guy who helped me out which I was grateful for. Today I came in to get something for my brother and the girl working was terrible. The customer in front of me was paying with a $100 bill and she had a little bit of an attitude with that customer and while the customer was looking for smaller denominations the employees body language showed how annoyed she was. When I got to the counter I asked for a controller and the girl went in the back to get it. She was kind of nice but when she asked if I wanted a warranty I said no and her attitude got nasty. She asked if Walmart sells those which I replied I don’t know and she said they are probably cheaper. Customer service like that is one reason people shop at Amazon. For the same price and free shipping is a big plus but not dealing with an attitude like that is priceless. To me spending $20 on a warranty for something less than $100 isn’t worth it.

He proceeds to tell me that he can't do anything about the price, even though it's the price on the game, that was on their shelf. Price gouge much?

But, when another customer came in after me and asked for the same thing, they decided to sell to that costumer instead because he was a "Regular" ... so much for first come, first serve.

Experiencia negativa: I've had multiple bad experiences with this GameStop and I thought I'd just give them chances just because it's the closest GameStop to my house, but after Friday I've had enough. I went in to see if they had any of the Prismatic Evolutions Pouch Collections left as I had saw on Popfindr they had 5 left in stock so I figured I'd shoot my shot. The employee told me that their associates had them on hold as they were going to buy them. So you mean to tell me you let your store's employees take half of the stock you received away from the public when Pokemon cards are already bare and hard to find as is? Absolutely scummy. Not to mention the store smelled heavily of weed this day. In the past, I had also tried to get a copy of Metroid Prime Remastered on release day and the employee said they were out of stock. When I said I wanted to cancel my pre-order then, he decided to then pull out this unopened box behind him that had several copies of the game inside the box. This was also after he already told several people in line before me that it was out of stock and that they'd have to go across town to get it instead. So you only wanted to help me after I said I wanted to cancel my pre-order? I've also tried asking before if they could give me a replacement case for one of my Switch games that I had lost. They said no and suggested I go to Walmart for a CD jewel case instead... when the Switch has cartridge games, not discs. So instead I stopped by the Oak Ridge GameStop where they happily provided me with a replacement case for my game, no questions asked. Another time, they suggested I buy Splatoon 2 instead of Splatoon 3 when it was out of stock at their location on release day. Yeah, sure, okay, I'll buy the old game I already have instead of the new one I came in for. The employees and management here are absolutely scummy and selfish and do not care for their customers, only their own benefit, even when it's actually not benefitting their business. Avoid this GameStop.

Experiencia negativa: Absolute dog dookie of an experience. Was looking for a razor wolverine ultimate Xbox controller. Tried to call before driving over there so I didn’t waste gas. Called a few times around 4:30pm. Google says they close at 6. Pull into the parking lot to see doors locked and gates down. If you close at a certain time then stay open till that time. Doesn’t even deserve one star.

Experiencia negativa: Sad. I stopped in to buy an xbox gift card as a birthday gift. They only had a few in odd amounts to choose from. When I took the card I picked to the register, and they scanned it, it turns out their gift cards had “expired”. So I walked across the street to Walmart, that had xbox cards by the register where you can load whatever amount you want, got my card and left.

Experiencia negativa: Went to pick up a game that had been shipped from another store. It arrived on a Wednesday. I called the store, no answer until late that afternoon, and they said they didi not have and I should check tomorrow despite the shipping store saying it had been logged as delivered. Came back Thursday at 11, and the store was closed. So I called from 12-2 with no answer. Visited the store at 3pm. Found no customers and one employee alone with stacks of boxes extending beyond the counter. When I asked about my game he said he hadn’t got through the deliveries from yesterday and gestured to the boxes and said I should try later. I asked if they were heaving trouble with the phone. He says: Oh Man! I forgot to turn it on! And then goes over at 3pm to turn on the phone. I come back Friday at 12, since they don’t open at 11 and find the store closed with a sign that their inventory system is down. I take a picture of the sign because at this point I plan to file a complaint. The manager sees me taking a photo and hastily runs out and asks if I need anything. I ask about my game. He says he has it! Great! Can I have it? It’s paid for and I have the receipt. No. He can’t log it with the “system” being down. I ask if can just enter that later since he has the game in hand, it’s paid for, and it’s been days now to try and collect it. He sticks to his guns and says no, I should just come back whenever his system is up, probably in the afternoon. I ask again, since I know it will be at least another day since I can return. I get a speech on how hard he works as a manager working over 40 hours at two different stores. I left and called corporate to complain and spoke to someone who I doubt is from my country of origin. She was nice. Took down my information, said someone would be in touch. Haven’t heard from anyone. I finally got my game another day later. Horrendous red flags of a store in decline. I am done. If they can’t be trusted to put games in a game case and / or even keep their phone on, or fix problems they create there is no need to do business here.

Experiencia negativa: I went there to buy my son a PS5 for his birthday and drove from South Knoxville to Northwest Knoxville and when I bought the console it was in a box and I ask the guy who sold it to me if everything was there..When I got home to give my son his gift there was no controller in the box so I ended up driving all the way back over there in rush hour traffic..I had tried to call the store about twenty times before driving all the way back over there and there was no answer so when I got to the store I tried to call while I was in the store and the phone would not ring so I’m guessing the guy working had the ringer off..He ended up giving me a controller but he acted like I was lying about there not being one in the box.

Experiencia negativa: This place closes super early. Wasted twenty minutes driving here to see the gate down and no one there at 7:40pm and it says online and the front door they close at 8pm. If you close at a certain time stay open until then. Other wise post that you close at the time you shut the doors and lock them will not be shopping here again.

Experiencia negativa: This location closers at least an hour earlier than posted. I went in to to trade a couple of games and as im waiting the only guy in the store announces their closing in ten minutes. I wait 2nd in line a couple of more minutes as the other customers get in line before i over hear him complaining about not getting to close yet. I decide to leave and put back the game i was trying to trade for on the shelf and leave before he yells as im out the door if i wanted to pay for the games i came in with. Ridiculous considering you dont even care enough to help the few customers still in the store. The terrible customer service is why these stores are closing and i'll no longer shop at this location.

I even tried to find the one I wanted at Mckays, but no luck. I found it her used and cheaper. The people are always nice, and some I have a membership I get money off and rewards.

Experiencia negativa: Apparently paying for “same day delivery” is a waste of time. Almost 3 days since I placed the order and I still have not received it. When checking the order status online, the order confirmation # (that GameStop sent after they charged my card) is “invalid”.. No one answers the phone. Corporate customer service will have you wait on hold for 3 hours then tell you they can’t get ahold of the store either. This is beyond unacceptable and the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Experiencia positiva: Great store and super friendly staff. My only gripe is I can NEVER get ahold of anyone on the phone. I have been calling for 2 days now trying to ask a question about a pre order and no matter how much I call, it just rings and rings, then tells me associates are busy before hanging up on me. I have called 14 times in the past two days and it is frustrating that no one will answer. Other than this glaring issue, I love the place.

Experiencia fantástica: It’s a Video game store. What could go wrong? They are all interested in games more than I am and you can ask any one of them anything and they’ll know the answer or a better suggestion. I always pay for the game insurance and a membership even tho I go a handful of times a year but you get the subscription to game informer which is cool too.

Experiencia fantástica: Great customer service! I also, like how the store is clean and organized. I always have a great time going to GameStop. My friend wanted to go there, so I I tagged along with him. Upon arrival, we were greeted. It felt welcoming. The person at the register asked us if we needed help or not. They were willing to help us. Plus they were knowledgeable about the items in the store. There is plenty of items all around. That was impressive! As always they have certain items discounted off from the original price. All depends on the year when the game was made, and other factors. Which you guys probably know more than I lol. Nintendo needs to get with this lol. Some old games still maintains its original price.

Experiencia positiva: I don't understand why any of the GameStop's have phones, they NEVER answer them!!! It's so frustrating!! All they ever do is ring and the teleprompter says everyone is busy at the moment call in a few minutes...ik every location isn't that busy every minute of everyday

Experiencia positiva: I don't usually rate big chain stores because if you are going there, you know why you are there. This location is a very busy location but has great staff that work hard to meet your needs. Plenty of stock and collectibles as well. Store is clean. It sits in a strip mall style location so there is plenty of parking and covered entry in weather is a nice benefit of this location.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT Preorder from this location! I came into the store the morning preorders opened for a con exclusive Funko Pop, and placed a preorder for it, and a few weeks passed with no phone call regarding its arrival, so I went back to the store in person. The employee told me my preorder was showing up in stock, but they didn't have it in the back, because they had already sold it. I spoke to a manager who said they would ensure I got the preorder, and they called me the next morning to tell me they had the item in stock, but when I arrived at the store that afternoon, they had sold the item a second time. Again, the manager said they would get another for my preorder and would give me a call when they had it in stock. A week passed with no call, during which time I called the store 4 times, no one ever picked up. I went back to the store in person, again, only to be informed they had gotten another one in and sold it, for the third time. Claimed to have called me numerous times, and said it was my fault for not picking the item up, but I only ever received one call, and came into the store that same day, only for the item to have been sold. Judging by other recent reviews, it seems as if other people's preorders are being sold as well.

Experiencia negativa: I have been a loyal customer for over a decade but not anymore. I preordered the digital pokemon diamond and pearl remake for the pins and when I got there to buy them they said they gave them all away. When you preorder that is supposed to guarantee you get the pins. I'm never shopping here again

Experiencia negativa: Pre-order the Pokemon games digital because I was told that I would still get the pins for them which was the only reason I pre-ordered it paid the $130 and then was told they don't have the pins will not be pre-ordering again or shopping at this GameStop liars!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: We bought a Razer keyboard and headphones. We had some issues with the headphones, but the staff was super helpful and patient. We were able to figure out a solution. Hands down, we'll be back to buy from them again.

Experiencia fantástica: The designated super store in the district from what I'm told. New layout and stylish fixtures and floors were added during covid. If this store doesn't have it they can sometimes order it to be sent directly to your house depending on availability.

Experiencia fantástica: Great customer service! An employee from another location called for me to check if this one had a specific item I needed to replace after it was lost. Madi took the time to check and held it for me even though it was getting near closing. Madi is very professional, but so personable and patient, too. I'm really grateful to her and the other store's employee.

Experiencia positiva: I don’t like going anywhere on Clinton hey. Dude was rude to me. They really don’t have great to choice from. It’s clean all I can say about it. Just not big fan any of those shopping place right there. Most of the employees are rude or watching poeple to see if they steal too judgemental for me.
