Experiencia fantástica: Had the absolute pleasure of meeting the amazing team that works at the outerloop location, as I needed a charger pack for my kiddos Xbox controller. The first and second one i bought did not fit, (my fault, i didnt know exactly what was needed) so 3rd time around I took the controller with me (should have just done that the first time. Lol). Cody did his best to help me with what I needed, even tho I was unable to purchase one from the store, as they did not have any currently in stock. Howevet Cody understood the urgency of the situation and called around the other locations(also not in stock) and many stores until he found what I needed. The others i purchased, I was able to get store credit back for. Which was completely fine with me as they have many games, art, noveltues and collectibles to choose from at great prices that i was excited to spend my hard earned money on. So I got myself a couple pins to add to my personal collection. 10/10 recomend. 5 shiny gold stars. A+ to Cody and team for helping me out in a pinch. Having just killer energy, super friendly, amazing customer service has me choosing to go to them first every single time from now on.

They have a huge section of pop figures as well as retro games such as nes,snes,n64 and so much more. Not to mention the pricing isnt to bad. The guys at the checkout yesterday 10.16.2025 were great. Very knowledgeable and greeted everyone who walked into the door. Highly recommended A+++

Experiencia negativa: Had a really negative experience today at this Game xchange and I dont ever want to come back. The white guy working up front with the curly hair and glasses made a very rude comment when I tried to make a return. He said something around the lines of, "its not our fault if they're not smart with their money" what a rude comment that I just stood there in disbelief feeling disrespected. You dont know people's circumstances when they want to treat them selves one day and the something unexpected comes up and they need the money back. I also tried to sell some practically new manga selling new for over $60 and they wanted to give me $12 This place is such a joke and a scam filled with rude employees who judge the customer. never coming back to this location and probably no game xchange ever again. They rob you blind people and sell your items for 3 times the price!!

Experiencia fantástica: Come for the games, stay because you blacked out and now own an entire PlayStation 2 collection. I walked into Game Xchange just to “browse.” You know, like a totally responsible adult. 30 minutes later, I walked out with a Funko Pop army, three retro games I forgot existed, a stack of CDs and I dont own a CD player. Lol. Prices were fair, vibes were immaculate, and honestly? I’m 87% sure one of the Funko Pops winked at me. Will be back to investigate. The employess are super helpful, know their stuff. They are absolute legends ✨This store is a beautiful chaos of nostalgia and impulse decisions. Every aisle is like a hug you didn’t know you needed. You go in for a XBox game and suddenly you’re debating which version of PlayStation consoles are the superior masterpiece. 10/10 would recommend. 0/10 self-restraint. P.S. If anyone sees me in there again with armfuls of Funkos and a dazed look in my eyes, mind your business. This is my journey.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent staff, friendly, and knowledgeable on their inventory. Very understanding, brought PSVR2 to sell, politely informed us that they could not do so at the time and why. Happily answered inquiries I had concerning trades/sales as well as some questions about a few in-store items we were interested in. They were also very helpful at looking up games that we were looking for but could not remember the names of.

Experiencia positiva: Ill give this place a 3 and I'll explain why. The different locations and businesses are great! 100% wonderful. It's the online portion that lacks. Website is lack luster, has no listing of video games. I understand inventory comes and goes but from a father that worked in IT/DBA for over 30 years explained to me, this should be very simple to implement when you sell an item, it takes it off the website/the stock goes down. I love tis business but they really need to get with the 2025 times on their website.

Experiencia fantástica: I am not from this area, am in on business, but wanted to see what retro stores were around. This came up high on the list when searching. I was not dissapointed! The selection was huge and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Wish we had one of these in our area! Ended up picking up a playstation and games, and was even able to hook it up in the hotel and relax and game a bit. Would most certainly recommend coming here!

Experiencia positiva: I visited this location to buy a few things for my kids for Christmas and was overcharged on two items. I brought it to the staff members' attention and was told they would have to give me store credit since they completed my order and they had to sell the items to me for whatever the register rang them up as, not the price on the price tag. Thank goodness the manager showed up and fixed the order and only charged the prices on the price tags. Something is up with this location right now. I've never had an issue like this here or at any other game exchange. I highly recommend paying close attention to how much they charge for each item before paying.

Experiencia negativa: The employees were not knowledgeable on xbox 360 games or hard drives at all and why it mattered that there disk sleeves were marked as goty edition as fallout 3 and many other games I was looking for are not named anything difrent then the original versions on the disks there fore they were not able to sell me a version of the game I needed or wanted

Experiencia fantástica: Always a good place to come for used games, used electronics and collectables. The prices are very competitive and the staff is always friendly. My only wish is that their collection of Funko pops were in better condition. I feel like that need to be a little more picky when buying from customers.

Experiencia fantástica: I go in from time to time. They will randomly have very rare physical copies of old games. For example I've been looking for Simpsons hit and run for the ps2, and one week they had it! You pay what they are worth, which can be pretty expensive depending on the game. The customer service and good products make this the best video game store if you are looking for retro and even modern games. They also do movies, Toys, accessories and loads more nerdy stuff. My go to for everything gaming. It's impressive, and that is coming from someone who has seen a lot of gaming stores.

Experiencia negativa: worst place ive been to, to sell or buy anything. I bought a 20$ wired controller from jcpenney and a 50$ refurbished ps4 controller from gamexchange and not only is there major stick drift on their controller, the O button doesn't work only after 3 months of having it, vs a 20 controller that still works perfect. If you want to save money and time just go get controllers from other places. And some of the employees are crooked and will charge more for the same item that is worth less. One told me the gameboy was $130 or so, the other told me it was 175$. Like bruh (Ive had the wired controller for 5 months now and the ps4 controller 3 months with a 30$ difference)

Out of the two Game X Change I went to, this one was not a good one comparatively because the guy assisting me kept talking to his coworker and helping other customers as he was charging me for the items we wanted. Not a good experience. Would recommend the other Game X Change

Experiencia positiva: Not the best Game X Change in Louisville, but they get the job done. The main problem is how cramped it feels, despite being a fairly large store. The staff is fine, but not as friendly as other stores I frequent.

Experiencia fantástica: Holy cow! Geek city! Anime, Pokémon, magic, all the game consoles and unbelievable amount of games. Videos, records, nerf guns, funko pops, DVD sets, all the stuffed animals. Staff is super nice and funny. They know their products.

Experiencia negativa: The Pops are way over priced and so are the games and consoles. They don't buy items for anything, but turn around and sell them for at least 70% mark up what they paid you. To put it in perspective: 10 Blu ray movies was $14 in store credit and like $9 cash. GameStop is now again, a better option than Gamexchange.

Experiencia fantástica: I came in with some hardware problems regarding a PS3 controller I'd purchased, and the two employees behind the counter were perfectly helpful with troubleshooting the issue! It's worth noting that their selection of refurbished controllers don't necessarily have Sixaxis built in, which can pose an issue in certain games where it is required. It didn't seem that the staff were aware of the issue though, so I won't hold it against them. These things happen. Positive experience otherwise.

Experiencia fantástica: While visiting Louisville recently I decided to check out a few game stores. First up was this Game X Change location. They seemed to have the standard selection of mostly 5th gen to current games. The cases did have some nice finds, and I did pick up one SNES at market value. The staff was friendly and helpful and I'll definitely check out this store again.

Experiencia positiva: Nice selection of items. But terrible for selling your game and sports cards. Do not recommend selling pokemon cards here for sure. Unless they are just commons in which that would be okay. Also, there is a girl that is always working in here that's very pretty but never ever dresses appropriately. She wears a sports bra and low cut pants or shorts to work in. It's just not very appropriate in a professional setting especially with young children shopping with parents.

I will say their game selection for pre 2000 consoles is limited but its all based on what people bring in i guess so can't hold that against them. Still 1000% better than gamestop and cheaper than DKOldies in some aspects. Will be coming back for sure!

Experiencia fantástica: Game Stop?? More like Lame Stop LOL. Game Exchange is blowin' 'em out the water son. Better selection & prices all the way around 99% of the time. I would avoid trading/selling pokemon cards(I'd assume Magic as well) as the amount they offer is nowhere near fair IMO. For example my 9 y.o. son tried to trade in a card TCG Player valued around $150 and was offered some ridiculously low price like $25 in store credit $20 cash. The same card he traded for far more at another localshop on New Cut rd. I get they have to make a profit but that just wasn't cool. Other than that one detail I love shopping at this place. Bought an older 32" 1080p TV for my son for $20 and a decent laptop for $99. Check 'em out!

Experiencia negativa: Everytime I come by there’s one game they “can’t” find. Why even put the product out if you don’t even have it? Doesn’t make sense to me. I found RE1 for GameCube..I was so excited..they look thru the games drawer just to tell me they can’t find it..

I bought a ferrari xbox one steering wheel from them yesterday and it smells like straight cigarettes i called them to ask if i could return it and they said i can only get store credit for it. Then i asked if they had another wheel that didn’t make my hands smell like cigarettes and they said they don’t have another wheel. What am i gonna do with $50 store credit. They also said i had 90 days to return it if there’s anything wrong with it and there’s something wrong with it but they wont let me return it

They also have great staff! They give you great attendance whenever needing something specific. They might also interact with you as you check out and talk about whatever you are buying.
