Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: Cool stop with honestly surprisingly good prices. Must if your a Nintendo fan
Experiencia positiva: Smaller selection compared to Japanese stores, but still a good option
Experiencia positiva: Visiting the Nintendo San Francisco store in San Francisco was an impressive experience. The store offers a wide variety of exclusive merchandise featuring popular franchises like Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Pokémon. It’s a great place for fans to explore unique collectibles and enjoy the vibrant gaming atmosphere
Experiencia fantástica: There were a lot of staff working. Very helpful.
Experiencia negativa: Lots of cute stuff but very frustrating shopping experience in that there are multiple things on display stands that are out of stock. If it's not possible to remove those sold out items from the displays, AT least invest in some small signage to place with items that are currently sold out. Also there was a lot of clothing but most stuff did not have the full range of sizing in stock either. Go in with very low expectations that anything you want will be readily available. Staff were very nice and not their fault the store is so poorly stocked.
Experiencia fantástica: I enjoyed their merch collection better than Nintendo NYC. I'd recommend going early before you're stuck waiting over an hour in line
Experiencia fantástica: Staff were super friendly. Came in a day after the pokemon event so most stuff were sold out. Cant wait ti go back!
Experiencia fantástica: Very clean and cool setup. Highly recommend if you’re in the area
Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely worth it This is the best nintendo store experience in America Nyc store has got nothing on this one
Experiencia fantástica: Totally amazing !! GREAT STORE !! Not for buying games, but overall stuff !!
Experiencia fantástica: What a unique shop selling all sorts of Nintendo merch. From plushjes to apparel to Nintendo games, toys and souvenirs this shop has everything you could ever want that is of Nintendo! Unique items that cannot be purchased elsewhere are available here. They even have a giant Mario kart screen in the lower level of this two storey store. Really cool! Check it out
Experiencia fantástica: This place is really cool! My kids absolutely loved it. You get to play different games here and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
Experiencia fantástica: Cool store, park in the parking garage across the street for easier access. If you're a Zelda or Mario fan you'll love it!! Got a good price on it wireless controller for my switch
Experiencia positiva: Absolutely incredible experience in here. Love all the Pikmin dolls!
Experiencia fantástica: This place has surprisingly reasonable prices
Experiencia fantástica: A must-visit for Nintendo lovers in the heart of San Francisco
Experiencia negativa: Fun to browse but DO NOT BUY HERE. Buy from a reputable seller. Purchased a Switch 2 while traveling in SF. Opened it and one of the joycons was busted. Nintendo does not accept returns and told me to (1) buy new joycons or (2) ship the entire brand new Switch 2 to Nintendo for repairs. They sold me a broken problem and then made fixing it my problem.
Experiencia positiva: If you aren't local, I dont recommend purchasing ANYTHING from the store. I purchased a Zelda bag a couple of weeks ago to carry a keyboard and mouse around at work (<5lbs). The handles are ripping at the seams with only 3 days of use at work. I live on the east coast, thousands of miles from the nearest nintendo store and was told by chat support that I would basically need to spend nearly $1,000 on a plane ticket to exchange the defective bag. From a multi billion dollar worldwide company like Nintendo, I'm incredibly disappointed.
Experiencia fantástica: i love the modern look of this store compared to the nyc store. both stores are amazing but this one has a lot more supplies is stock of the semi-major nintendo games like pikmin and splatoon! the staff was amazing and very helpful. it’s a must for any nintendo fan!
Experiencia fantástica: Truly wonderful addition to Union Square! Didn't expect so much awesome merch (compared to NYC). There are gifts for many gamers here, from neckties to plushies to socks to stationery to ofc Switch games + customizable consoles! Some of my favorites available when I went included Kirby, Animal Crossing, and Zelda goods! I love that there's also a demo section for select games! Come visit--you won't be disappointed :))
Experiencia positiva: Not the biggest selection of apparel but there was an animal crossing demo which was super cool to see! Friendly staff that seemed passionate about the games
Experiencia fantástica: So we went here right after going to Pop Mart down the street. Oh man, The nostalgia vibes hit hard. The store is legit. Great for gifts for anyone who's a fan of Mario Luigi or literally anything from Nintendo. They sell all sorts of merch here including clothing items, accessories, stuff for the home, kitchen, hats, cards, you name it. They have it. I love how they have decals in the windows so that when you're inside looking out it looks like this characters but then you see the people walking past behind them. I'm not sure if this is what they intended but it is super cute. It wasn't too busy when we went on a weekday afternoon. I would imagine it would be a lot more busy on a weekend, especially in the summer. Oh yeah and of course they sell literally every Nintendo game you could ask for. Great place for a date or for the kids or just take yourself and have a good time. Store is clean and spacious, staff is friendly. Overall a great vibe.
Experiencia fantástica: Really great store layout, easily identifiable by franchise and merchandise selection. The downstairs section has a huge screen for Mario Kart and testing out Switch. The service is spectacular, greeted when coming in, had nice conversations with another rep helping me look for a couple of gifts. This of course was after the holidays on a weekday and a little after opening so it was a lot slower than usual. Definitely appreciated the personal attention and talking about products and what will be rolling out in the near future there.
Experiencia fantástica: Great store and great experience! Highly recommend checking this place out! Staff there are really friendly and really helpful as well!
Experiencia fantástica: Staff was friendly. Selection was good. Went the week after new years so some display items weren’t available or sold out.
Experiencia fantástica: Very fun place for all the fans. They have two different floors with a lot of stuff. You can also try different games on the bottom floor. I totally recommend everyone coming here if you like anything related to the Nintendo world.
Experiencia fantástica: If you love Nintendo, this store is awesome! Apparel, accessories, toys, plushies, games, and other surprises await your adventure!
Experiencia positiva: We came 1 day after Christmas but they were well-stocked. Pretty crowded but was fun to be there.
Experiencia fantástica: Great experience, people is super nice and the display is awesome. They even try to make everything more comfortable for me talking in Spanish I'll come back as soon as they have those TLOZ calendars. See you there!
Experiencia fantástica: So much Nintendo everything! From baby dishes to actual game cartridges, if it's from Super Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, or Metroid you'll find it here. Inwas surprised at how much Pikmin merch there was, and the Amiibo wall may have been my favorite part...or the 20 foot mario kart screen. Not cheap, but not too exorbitant either. 5 out 5, will revisit, would recommend to any age fan.
Experiencia fantástica: it was kinda busy but still an fun-filled spot for all the nintendo users! they had a lot of exclusive merch that can be found on their website
Experiencia positiva: Visited this place while site seeing in San Franciso. There are only 2 retail stores. This one and one in New York. 2 levels of retail space. Fun place for true fans.
Experiencia fantástica: Did you know there are only 2 nintendo stores in the US? There are in NY and since this year in San Francisco. I was so happy to visit it! You can buy different souvenirs like tshrits, jackets, plates etc. You can also play videogames in a big screen or normal TVs. Everybody was very kind and ready to explain everything! I even bought a Nintendo switch lite :)
Experiencia positiva: Nice little store for merch relating to Nintendo properties. It's pretty small compared to the rest of the stores around it and its packed even on weekdays. It was very clean and staff were super friendly and very talkative. But as previously stated, its pretty small. They have an upstairs/ground area with Mario and Animal crossing merch, and a downstairs/basement where mostly everything's at, with two demo stations with one being a big screen with two controllers and the other being 4 smaller screens with two controllers each. Mostly went for the Zelda merch and they had plenty, along with Pokémon, Pikmin, Metroid, and like I said before Mario and Animal crossing. Only two things that disappointed me was ,that like I said before, it felt small and cramped, but probably only felt that way due to the crowd, and also they had a display of a Daruk statue whos eye and mustache were damaged.
Experiencia fantástica: I had such a great time walking around, they had some holiday special items too. They had a couple sections between the 2 floors: 1st floor - kitchen items (like oven mitts, waffle makers, etc), pajamas (some for kids & smaller section for adults), had a Nintendo switch game section where you could buy some, and a animal crossing section. 2nd floor - had a big screen where you could play Mario kart, Zelda section, pokemon section, splatoons, and a holiday specific section with scarfs, sweaters, and blank cards. I spent probably 25-30mins just walking around finding what I wanted to get. Had loads of options: bags, shirts, pins, stuffed animals, figurines, etc. I've been to the New York location too, both are great for shopping!
Experiencia fantástica: Nintendo SF offers a highly immersive and thoughtfully designed retail experience that appeals to all ages. The store blends interactive elements, iconic characters, and clean modern design into a cohesive environment. Layout and navigation are intuitive, even during peak hours, making the experience enjoyable rather than overwhelming. Displays feel curated and museum-like, elevating merchandise beyond standard retail. The atmosphere is energetic, playful, and welcoming, especially for families and longtime fans. Accessibility and openness make the space easy to explore.
Experiencia fantástica: One of the happiest and coolest stores I’ve ever been to. As a longtime Nintendo fan this place was like a dreamland. They have all sorts of merch for all their major franchises and even some items you wouldn’t really expect them to have. The only downside was that they didn’t have too much retro themed merch but I guess they’re catering to newer generation stuff.
Experiencia fantástica: They make you happy walking in. Very friendly staff. I did get choice fatigue but that's a good thing right. Christmas orinaments and so many gift ideas.
Experiencia fantástica: Coming here as a long time Nintendo fan is always so much fun. I love seeing the character displays and all of the unique merch they offer. The sanrio collaboration with animal crossing is so cute! All of the employees are very helpful and I haven't had a bad experience at the store in the few times that I have visited. Remember to check in with your Nintendo account to get points!
Experiencia fantástica: Lots of demo stations to try games, merch you aren't going to find elsewhere. A tourist trap for sure, but a neat one.
Experiencia positiva: The store is small but have 2 floors. When the store's crowded, it feels suffocated. The good part is the play area where you can try playing the game. It's a fun place to bring the kids here.
Experiencia fantástica: A wonderful little store for Nintendo fans with the right expectations going in. First off, it's not a video game store even though they sell games and consoles. It's not a toy store even though they do have toys. It's not as big as other Nintendo store locations like in Japan or even New York on the other coast. With that said, this store is best fit for Nintendo fan lifestyles, which go beyond just games and collectables. There's a lot of clothing in adult sizes and stuff to compliment your life, like Animal Crossing themed things for you kitchen. Despite the childish nature of the games, much of the merchandise here are for older fans, but there's still stuff for all ages, even a babies section. As mentioned, despite being two levels, it's a weirdly small location amongst the many larger storefronts in Union Square. Because of this, you may need to line up just to get in during busy seasons, but the lines aren't as bad as the first month of opening (and thankfully, not bad enough that they needed reservations again). The store caters to the big Nintendo franchises beyond Mario like Zelda, Animal Crossing, and Pokemon. In fact, they weirdly have more space for some other properties that you don't see much merch of in the states, like Pikmin and my favorite Splatoon (both of which feel weirdly bigger than the Pokemon section). They do carry things you can find at other stores, like games and LEGO sets, but majority of the store are exclusive to the Nintendo stores (they'll have a square red Nintendo logo on all the exclusive items). Everything is priced pretty reasonably (and you won't be seeing much sales, they barely had a Black Friday offering), but if your a big Nintendo fan, you'll be spending a LOT. Despite being a store based on video games, there's not a lot of demos you can play with only 4 kiosks downstairs and most notably a big video wall to play on (which admittedly doesn't have the high refresh rate and resolution to fully show off the Switch 2's capabilities). I was hoping they would do Nintendo Direct screenings here but they never have since those happen early in the morning before the store even opens, but there's clearly potential for events with the screen. For now, you can only play select Switch 2 games, the same ones you can find at other in-store kiosks with only a few game demos available. If you do want a Switch 2, they do generally have them available, so this is a great place to get one. If for some reason you want the original Switch, they have those too, in fact, you can even customize it where you can pick out what Joy-Con colors to bundle with it. If you're a local, you'll want to stop by to check out what's new since their selection can sometimes rotate in and out depending on stock (and thankfully, they've been keeping shelves well stocked since the initial opening). They tend to have some seasonal drops, like Luigi's Mansion items during Halloween and now a whole winter collection for the holidays, so keep an eye on their social media profiles to see what's new, including special events like meeting your favorite Nintendo characters (they had Mario come by for his 40th anniversary and Gengar during "Pokeween"). And of course, this is the spot for new Nintendo game launches, often times having fun photo opportunities and free gifts like posters or other freebies with a purchase of the launched game. Speaking of freebies: If you have a Nintendo account, scan your account QR code at the kiosk on the lower level to get a little sticker and some platinum points, and sometimes more (for the holidays, they're giving out gift tags and icon sets for your Switch profile). And you'll wanna take photos around the store as there's different statues for each of the different Nintendo series (and keep an eye out for the hidden Pikmin scattered around the store, similar to Super Nintendo World at the Universal theme parks). The staff of Nintendo ambassadors are always so friendly and helpful to interact with so never be afraid to ask a question! Overall, a must for any Nintendo fan!
Experiencia fantástica: The Nintendo store in San Francisco is the best. The people are so nice. They keep the stores very clean and there are such good selections. I’m really glad I went here with my daughter. She had a blast and thought it was so cool and then the next day I was like, did you really like the Nintendo store and she was like I wanna live there so fun They have great Kirby selections and animal crossing things selections in Mario like the biggest part it was so fun. There is literally a place where you could play Mario kart world on the Nintendo switch two if you didn’t have it it was so fun. I recommend this place so much if you wanna have a fun day with your family
Experiencia fantástica: This is the best and coolest store I think in San Francisco I am from petaluma but I really like thise store and the workers are so helpful I wanted stickers for someone and they gave me a coloring book instead
Experiencia positiva: Super cool store and super cool merch. Most stuffs are helpful but not very fond of the cashier.
Experiencia fantástica: Honestly all around amazing customer service and product selection. Definitely knew I was going to be walking out with some cool Nintendo products, they have an extensive amount of the more popular IPs (wish they had a little more Kirby). But the service was amazing. Every person wasn't just trying to push products you could feel the enthusiasm and their love for Nintendo too. Overall an amazing visit, put a smile on my face and I left with lots of Nintendo goodies!
Experiencia fantástica: Awesome store! We loved it! Left with a handful of new things! Everyone was so nice and helpful!
Experiencia fantástica: That stuff was amazing. Their attitude and energy was contagious. They were super helpful and they even had a little Kirby air Rider tournament going on which was a lot of fun
Experiencia fantástica: More newer game items. Pikmin Bloom stuff is here. Zelda stuff if you are looking for that. Their water bottles are excellent quality and not crazy expensive for the quality. Excellent selection on hoodie and shirt sizes found up to XXL in both. Staff is friendly even for a touristy shop. Very clean inside and organized. Two stories as there is more things on the lower level. Does have an elevator if you need that.
Experiencia negativa: If I can I would like to file a complaint regarding the customer service I received today. I was purchasing two hats and two shirts as birthday gifts for my two children, and I asked if they could be packed in two separate bags. The staff told me that each customer is allowed only one bag per day. I explained that I was willing to pay for an extra bag because these were gifts, and it would be inappropriate for one child to receive a bag while the other did not. However, the salesperson responded that she did not care. I then asked if I could make two separate transactions or return later to purchase the second set, but she refused both options and insisted that the only way to receive two bags was to make one purchase today and return the next day for the other. I also pointed out that another customer beside me had purchased two small plush toys and received two bags. The salesperson dismissed this by saying she “didn’t see it.” When I asked to see the written policy, she told me to find it myself. Throughout the entire interaction, she showed no willingness to help, provided no reasonable explanation, and could not show any official written regulation to support her claims. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I hope the store will review both its policies and staff training to prevent similar situations in the future.
Experiencia fantástica: Great experience! Perfect for getting souvenirs and gifts for video game enthusiasts. The space was well-kept and featured a good variety of merch, from plushies to room decor. There's also a section on the bottom floor where visitors can play recent and upcoming releases. Excellent customer service
Experiencia fantástica: I wish it was a bit larger in size but the store is amazing
Experiencia fantástica: Great store. Staff are courteous and knowledgable. Quite expensive merch tho so be prepared with your wallet. Also when you pay with card your ID is also needed to confirm it is your card.
Experiencia fantástica: Cute, expansive store with game demos and a wide selection of merch. The cashiers and people at the door are very friendly and helpful. Merch changes pretty often apparently, so worth multiple visits.
Experiencia fantástica: The Nintendo Store in San Francisco is a must-visit for any Nintendo fan. This is only the second Nintendo store in the U.S. (the other is in New York City), and it’s located right in Union Square. The store itself is bright, fun, and full of energy — just walking in feels like stepping into one of their games. They’ve got two levels: upstairs has all the classics like Mario, Animal Crossing, and Donkey Kong, while downstairs you’ll find Zelda, Pokémon, Splatoon, and more. The displays are colorful, interactive, and perfect for photo ops. There are also plenty of exclusive items you can only find here — according to the staff, some of these are only available at this store and the one in Japan. I have to say, everything was not overly priced, and I actually felt like I walked out with a lot of stuff for not that much money. Between the variety of merch, the friendly staff, and the overall atmosphere, it’s easy to lose track of time here. If you’re in or visiting San Francisco and have any interest in Nintendo — whether casual or hardcore — yes, it’s absolutely worth the stop. You’ll likely walk away with something fun, and even if you don’t buy much, the experience itself is solid.
Experiencia fantástica: Very nice store had a lot of different stuff from the Nintendo franchise such as Zelda, splatoon, Mario, Kirby, Pokémon, animal crossing I personally was only a fan of Mario out of them so I didn’t get too much stuff but it was a cool store nonetheless
Experiencia fantástica: i liked it! lots of nintendo merch, and some rounds of mario kart made a great impression, my DK Cup is iconic
Experiencia fantástica: Coolest store in the city (right now) staff very friendly and so much cool stuff set up beautifuly. Fun for everyone of any age.
Experiencia fantástica: Visited this place during there Grand opening Very very busy but neat to explore and explore
Experiencia positiva: Great customer service throughout the store. Fun atmosphere with the below level with people playing video games. Plus a Pokémon legends bag that came with patches when you checkout (not sure if the bag is for a limited time).
Experiencia fantástica: Nice store on the perfect corner!! They have lots of Nintendo items, along with SF&Nintendo souvenirs.
Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic store - went there while visiting San Francisco in September/October 2025. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and there were so many items there I'd not seen before. Great experience!
Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely loved the Nintendo Store in San Francisco! The place is bright, fun, and full of amazing merch from Mario to Zelda. The staff were super friendly and made the whole experience feel interactive with game demos and displays. Prices can be a little high for exclusives, but totally worth it for the nostalgia and atmosphere. A must-visit stop for any Nintendo fan!
Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely fantastic and definitely going back! I recommend the place for anyone who is interested in nintendo merch or just checking out a "fanboy" location! Also they have a variety of clothes and accessories that will leave you stunned! (At least in my experience
Experiencia fantástica: Brings back a lot of good memories
Experiencia fantástica: Incredible place if you are a Nintendo fan. Tons of exclusive merchandise, and every amiibo you could imagine.
Experiencia fantástica: So happy that Nintendo decided to open up a store here in SF! There’s staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to visit again!!
Experiencia fantástica: Came on a Saturday afternoon, no line to enter but inside the store was busy. I bought a Mario Kart shirt (sizes are limited, no mediums or larges were available), a pack of Animal Crossing clips, and an Animal Crossing casserole dish with lid that I was very excited about, and only realized when I got home that it is much smaller than I expected. Standard 9"x13" casserole dish is 3 quarts, and the one I purchased is 1.68 quarts (1.5 liters). There was also no casserole dish on display, and no indication that the image on the box was real size. It is still cute, and I will happily use it, but be warned I did get stung by a wasp inside the store, but I do not blame Nintendo for that
Experiencia fantástica: Staff are very attentive and helpful. While the store is not massive it does have quite a bit in there. I have been 3 times, from what I have noticed there is minimal changes in the things carried. You will find games, clothes, plushes, and little trinkets for the following franchises: Mario Brothers, Animal Crossing, some Donkey Kong, Splatoon, Zelda, Kirby, Pikmin and Pokémon. When is comes to pricing we need to remember the company and the current state of the world. $59.99 for a Koraidon plush less that a foot long, maybe 5 inches tall.
Experiencia fantástica: First and foremost, it's completely mind blowing. It had me to take glimspes back into my childhood from every item and display around the store. In fact, I'll say less... JUST GO. ♥️
Experiencia positiva: Very helpful staff. Unfortunately there are no kids sizes for most clothes. Otherwise a good selection of goods. Prices were surprisingly reasonable.
Experiencia fantástica: Such a cute store! I really liked that they control the number of visitors, so it never feels too crowded. As expected from a Nintendo store, the decorations are awesome and full of fun details, it’s a great place for any fan!
Experiencia fantástica: 2 lvs full of Nintendo merchandise. It's like a giant gift shop for Nintendo.
Experiencia fantástica: Very friendly staff, nice 2-level store. There’s parking across the street in the SFMTA Union Square Garage. Great to see new stores opening up downtown again!
Experiencia fantástica: I love this store, I am a local and have come on two separate occasions to buy multiple items. I do wish that they had new items come in often and also wish they had items like dog toys or clothing to purchase
Experiencia fantástica: Great Nintendo retail store. Lots of wonderful items related to Nintendo characters. Staff very friendly and helpful
Experiencia fantástica: I can say I've been to all the Nintendo Stores in the world, including Nintendo SF! They were a convenient 6 minute walk from my hotel and right across from Union Square if you want to take a break and look over your purchases. I didn't need a reservation during the week but did have to queue up to get in, even before opening hour. The line moves so it's not too bad. Just make sure you arrive no later than 40 minutes before closing as they do cut off access before the last hour. Nintendo SF is two stores of shopping heaven! I mainly picked up SF-exclusive merch, namely the red and gray t-shirts and hoodies. There's also SF-branded hats and water bottles that I passed for now. Plenty of merch for Pokémon, Zelda, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Metroid, and others that I'm not too familiar with. If you have a Nintendo account, make sure you scan your QR code at the lower level to get some points for your account and a sticker. Hope to be back to get some more merch next time!
Experiencia fantástica: too cute!!!!!!! Wanna bring everything home I ended up buying KK, shy guy, animal crossing puzzle, and able sisters clip
Experiencia positiva: It's awesome to have an in person Nintendo Store but the inventory variety is somewhat lacking imo.
Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic store — vibrant, well-designed, and full of nostalgia. Great selection of games, collectibles, and exclusive Nintendo merchandise. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic, and the interactive displays make it fun for both kids and adults. A must-visit spot for any Nintendo fan in San Francisco.
Experiencia fantástica: This place is the best, so much merchandise for each character in the Nintendo world. Everything in there is amazing, there’s so much to see on both floors. Be prepared to spend some money there, well worth it for sure.
Experiencia fantástica: What a fantastic store! Filled with super fun Nintendo merchandise and with the soundtracks to famous Nintendo games playing in the background, Nintendo San Francisco is a haven for Nintendo superfans and casual fans alike. The staff were all super friendly and clearly passionate Nintendo fans themselves, and the store is spotless. This store is a must-visit!
Experiencia fantástica: 10/10 experience. I was on a work trip and my daughter loves Yoshi. They didnt have a green Yoshi on the floor so the staff went to the back and got one that just came in. They were super helpful. The prices really were reasonable as well. Highly reccomend.
Experiencia fantástica: The Nintendo Store was packed, but everything was very well maintained and neatly themed. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, which made the visit even more enjoyable. A must-stop for fans!
Experiencia positiva: I was expecting a more immersive experience with hands on gaming rather than just a glorified Disney store merch shop. It was still neat to see though as a fan. Heck, I would have even liked some people dressed up as Mario and Luigi, too, was very underwhelmed.
Experiencia fantástica: Awesome store, the area is a bit complicated as there are tons of homeless but as long as you stay there within business hours all is good
Experiencia fantástica: Goes without saying that this place is a Nintendo Fan's dream! Amazing variety and quality of every product you could want, featuring the most popular characters and franchises. I spent hours here just enjoying the clean store, groovy vibes, and amazing merchandise. Of course, the company here is excellent! The staff are clearly Nintendo ambassadors already, and their excitement about their products and brand is palpable. I was warmly welcomed, and my interests were curated with enthusiasm. Bumping into other shoppers was joyful, as we all share a love and fandom for all things Nintendo. Best way to spend a birthday while travelling!
Experiencia fantástica: This is a happy store! Visitors and employees are excited about being there amongst unique merch from their favorite games, while Animal Crossing music creates an even more fun atmosphere.
Experiencia fantástica: The staff at the register is super friendly, he helped me checked 8 pikman vases one by one, just want to make sure I got the perfect color/no cracks. He even helped me go down stairs to exchange some of the not-so-perfect vases to save me the trouble! Highly recommend this store and will be back. I didn’t get his name but I visited on 9/22, he is the guy with black hair, glasses and cool tattoos.
Experiencia fantástica: love this location!! the staff is always super friendly and helpful :) i like that they have the interactive game downstairs
Experiencia positiva: The store is well organized, some items don't have prices marked, wich means you will have to find a salesperson. However I liked visiting the store of one of the iconic game manufacturers.
Experiencia fantástica: Wasn't expecting a visit to this store apparently this is only the second store in the US besides the location in New York. Prices for merchandise was very affordable. If you're looking to tap into your childhood memories. This place is a must
Experiencia fantástica: Two levels of Nintendo fun! Great merch for available for all their top tier games Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Splatoon, Kirby and more! Definitely worth checking out & picking up some Nintendo themed plush toys, clothes, trinkets or homewares. Oh and the big screen game station is a must! Can be busy on weekends so you might need to line up, but the line moves quickly.
Experiencia fantástica: The selections at this store is unreal. I spent an hour browsing around! As a Canadian, this is one of the few places where I've been able to find a great variety of Kirby items. Loved it!
Experiencia fantástica: Brought me back to my childhood. This store is so fun, the merchandise quality is great and prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly. Expect to wait in line for at least 30 minutes on weekends. They close doors ~15 minutes before close time. Each section has its own theme and music. They have big screens with Nintendo switch to play in store.
Experiencia fantástica: A great and magical place!! Definitely a must visit if youre into videogames
Experiencia fantástica: Amazing store but needs to stock up on more Tom nook plushies!!!! And it would've been cool to have fire emblem stuff or switch 2s in stock. But a beautiful place
Experiencia fantástica: This is a review of the San Francisco Nintendo store, august 2025… based on someone who’s visited the Osaka, Kyoto, and New York stores. (08262025). This by far is a much better store compared to the New York store in terms of stuff but it is still smaller than say the Osaka store… reasoning being is their Pokémon stuff actually has its own separate store in Osaka while here… they are combined into one store. I’d say half the inventory is different than its Japanese counterparts so you will see things here that are only stateside which is quite cool. For instance, a lot of the Zelda stuff… I did not see in Osaka or Kyoto… and a lot of their Zelda stuff, you can’t find here either. A word of caution though if you are thinking… hey, I don’t have to buy this in Japan because it’s here now: the quality for some items seems different. For instance, the tshirts are lighter and thinner in the San Francisco shop compared to the ones in Osaka and Kyoto (more cottony and heavier)… the Zelda shirts in Japan are also embroidered on the sleeve compared to the American ones where it is simply printed. Same with the storage cubes… the Japanese ones in my humble opinion have a better color and are smaller (the American question mark cubes are a lemon colored paler question mark compared to the Japanese darker yellow orangey color.) Otherwise… it’s nice to see different items at the San Francisco store compared to those in Japan. However keep in mind the quality and difference in styles and choose accordingly.
Experiencia fantástica: The San Francisco Nintendo Store offers an amazing selection of games, consoles, and exclusive merch. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful making every visit a fun and welcoming experience!
Experiencia negativa: VERY Disappointed. I’m not one to leave reviews but not happy with Nintendo store. Came from out of town to watch Giants and go to store after. We arrived 14 minutes before closing (7:46) and were told that they were “closed”, despite the hours going until 8. I acknowledge that it’s near the end of the hours, and that me and my fiancée just wanted to see the store. We told the manager at the door that we just wanted to walk around and would leave at closing (wanting to respect that they “close” at 8), but they rudely said no. If you close at 7:45, then you should have you hours posted as such. We wasted good money on a priority lyft just to be told that the store was closed.
