Experiencia fantástica: I've gone to this store alot over the years. Always have a good experience. I went there today looking for funko pop figures. Found a couple that I wanted. While checking out i mentioned it to Allie who took care of my order while checking out, and she said they would look for more figures and try to find them for me. So big shout out to Allie for helping me today. I always have a great experience when I go to this store. I would recommend it to everyone.

Experiencia fantástica: First time at this Store. The staff was more than friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately, I noticed that some items didn’t have the prices well labeled, almost like they wanted to keep it hidden. Maybe because they were afraid to show the price. That being said, I didn’t enjoy my experience. And since I am driving right now from Rockford to Davenport, Iowa, the young lady was more helpful to give me the address to the Other store location there. I will be more than happy to go and stop and see what’s available.

Experiencia positiva: Gave a good price for my funkos/aew figures but neglected to tell me key information on what they actively buy and dont till after the fact, also the process is kinda tedious and dumb unless you live in rockford, therefore the 3 stars otherwise it's a good store with a wide variety

Experiencia fantástica: This was one of my best experiences at a shop! I had the pleasure of having Julia help me with buying a steam deck. My boyfriend and I had been searching and researching a bit for MONTHS and (preferably) wanted to find something more locally or in person rather than online. We called, Julia informed us that 2 were in stock, and we ran over. When we got there, Julia helped us explore the options, test the steam deck a little, and answer any questions we had. She was really kind and VERY helpful throughout our visit there, we appreciated everyone’s help. We also were happy to see a bigger place where people can sell or buy games and all— haven’t seen many around like that anymore. Overall, great experience :)

Experiencia negativa: I’ll be honest - you’re better off at GameStop. The GameStop next door actually treats its customers like people. I’m not made to feel like I’m a speck on someone’s shoe, unlike at Disc Replay. Do not sell anything here, because you will be toyed with the entire time. The employees will lie about anything just to say they can’t take what you’re selling, to then turn around and offer you a fraction of what you could get taking a chance elsewhere, and then act like they’re doing you some favor. They will stand around and gossip, make fun of other people, and sometimes even just stand and stare at you and waste your time. Oh, and when you decline their offer, they just toss your items around carelessly when giving them back to you. One of the games we brought in to sell was thrown back into our bag without being put back into its case and buried under heavier items. This place has been around since I was a teen, and it is not the same place I remember. I will not be returning and I will not be recommending this place to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: Called ahead of going to see if they took something the said they did so I drove there. 2.5 hours later yeah 2.5 hours later ( had me wait 2 hours) they had to many.i won't deal with them again.

Sometimes trade-ins are limited due to overstock or other restrictions, but we clearly need to improve how we communicate this ahead of time. Experiencia negativa: Employees are incredibly rude, prices are insanely high, the floors and counters were sticky, and the whole store reeks of body odor. I asked a question because I had never been in the store and you'd have thought I asked the dumbest question ever. Was told I couldn't buy an item behind the counter bc the manager was holding it for himself. Then was told he made fun of a customer who tried to buy something back earlier (but couldn't because he had purchased it) because the item "went to a better home." So condescending, disrespectful, and unprofessional.

Experiencia positiva: The bluray movies and video game prices need to be updated. Because some copies of the same are cheaper than others. And the movies need to be resorted because they are not all in alphabetical order. Also i purchased a game from another Disk Replay location and was near this one. So I was hoping to exchange it since I already had it. But sadly I was told I couldn't because they are independently own. So heads up to anyone looking to do this.

Experiencia positiva: I had initially rated this place a 5 about 2-3 years ago. This place was basically perfect. You'd ask someone where to go for movies, games, and collectibles, and they'd tell you to go to the disc replay of Rockford. I have gone around a large section of cities, many miles in different directions. Even places like Chicago didn't have anything like this. Out of all the disc replays this was the best one. Up until recently. First off, the general vibe of the store. You walk in and you can instantly tell they're trying to come off as a TCG store, but with remnants of its previous incarnation. The far back of the store is the definition of a cemetery, it doesn't appear as if any living soul had ever touched grace in that general direction. Next up the prices, these are relatively fair I'll give them that. There have been times that I genuinely raise an eyebrow at some stuff, but other than the current prices of pokemon stuff, you can usually catch market value items, frequent deals, or even a steal. Now regarding the staff, they are nowhere near as welcoming or attentive as previous employees/management/owners, whichever it may be. Since I noticed the changes I have entered the store multiple times, rarely will I receive a hello, and never have I been asked if I needed any help. Half the store is behind the counter, not necessarily half the things you can buy but it's where the employees are. Exactly the way a TCG shop is, many are familiar with such layouts. So you'd think the employees would be more aware of customers and asking if they need something, or looking if they're interested in buying stuff, especially if they're by the counter itself. I am not one to only buy trading cards, but I do like them. I have been here on numerous occasions trying to buy something behind the counter but no assistance comes. Now can I go ask someone? Yes I can. But why won't I do it? The answer is simple, the employees, of which there are about 5 or 6 of them, are all across the other side of the store by the entrance, it's where the checkout is located at. I understand 2 of them being there, maybe all of them if there are customers who need help, but most of the time I have seen a single person being helped over there maybe two. They seem to be in their own world it almost feels like a high school lunch table. But again if I needed help, why not ask for it? That's not the point, a customer doesn't feel wanted or appreciated without someone asking if they need help. Now while I may be able to ask someone for help others may not. It could be due to timidness or inability to do so. It's something that the average person can get over, especially if you know that's just how the business operates. Unfortunately someone like myself who has been going here before they even moved next to GameStop, doesn't see it that way. Maybe I got spoiled by how the old employees treated their customers. But as someone who has spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars here, I don't see myself buying from here for the time being. This store sells amazing products for all kinds of pop culture enthusiasts, although there's a clear shift of where it's going. It's still worth checking out here and there. But when it comes to customer service I guess it depends on how you view it, or if they're feeling like paying attention. This review may come off as unprofessional or being overly frank, but I would rather voice my true opinion than to serve a water downed version of it. I truly hope that I can be proven wrong in the future and that I can restore the 5 star rating.

Experiencia negativa: Went into disc replay looking for a PS4 cord and accidentally got the wrong one for 7.99. When they gave me the correct one I asked how much it would be they told me 3.99 and when I went to the front counter they asked me for ID to make a return. I asked if I had to give an ID to make a return and they said yes or they couldn't do it. I asked if they store my information or where the store credit would be held. He told me that he used the $8 in-store credit for the cord that I was told would be 3.99. so I short I was overcharged for a cord and ID for no reason you should not have to give ID to make a return and I should have not been charged $8 for a $3 cord. I think people should know that if they ever want to make an exchange you will have to give over your ID.
We’re sorry this happened - we have a new leadership team in store and it sounds like this wasn’t handled the way we typically would. I’m having them add an extra $10 in your credit account for the inconvenience and we’ll work on additional training. Thanks so much for the feedback!

They were really busy with other trade ins and they just remodeled the store. The staff was really nice and when there not as busy I’ll definitely bring the rest of my trade ins in. We do usually offer a 30% bonus if you choose store credit to incentivize the customer to shop in our store, but our cash offers are still set to usually be a little bit higher than our competition. The only negative I've ever experienced is their system is supposed to notify me when a certain game comes in, and I've had multiple times when I browse and see the game but I was never notified and it was shelved for sale. Much better place to shop than the big chain next door.
