Experiencia negativa: Man, Josh was terrible. I’ve been shopping at GameStop since it was Electronics Boutique and it’s such a shame to see how these stores keep going downhill. I couldn’t tell you if it’s the corporate climate, or just hiring people like the fellow above, but I’d give the store 0 stars if possible. Trying to return a game my buddy sent me as a congratulations gift and Josh “can’t find” the account with his phone number. Offers to “let me” trade the less than a week old, sealed in plastic, $90 steelbook special edition for $40. Even ignoring how rude he was about it, what a gracious offer. Do better GameStop.

Experiencia negativa: My 20 year old son who has Autism, social anxiety, and Selective Mutism went to this store. His counselor has encouraged him once a week to go into a store he is comfortable on his own to walk around. This past week, with the new Pokémon game coming out, he picked this store and wanted to buy the new game on his own. Once he entered and found the game, he realized he had to ask for it. He was working his courage up to be able to ask the clerk when security approached him, asked him to empty his pockets (which had his wallet and phone), lift his shirt, and then asked him to leave the store. I understand this was probably confusing for the clerk, as he may have asked my son questions and he did not answer, but I do ask for training with your team and security (assume it was the mall’s) to better work with those who are neurodivergent.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely terrible place. They took my copy of Red Dead Redemption 2, didn't give me any money. They then proceeded to break my disk in 40 pieces (yes I counted cuz I'm a good boy) and proceeded to eat every individual piece. I'm suing.

Experiencia negativa: I had the absolute worst experience at GameStop today. One of their stores told me to go to this location to trade in my gaming console, so I made the trip. When I arrived, the employee was incredibly rude to me. Instead of politely explaining that they couldn’t take my trade-in, they basically dismissed me with an attitude and made me feel completely unwelcome. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Absolutely terrible customer service. I won’t be coming back.

Experiencia negativa: Do not buy a warranty they no longer honor exchanges for equal or lesser value. They just told me they changed their policy right after I bought a new wired Xbox 1 controller and a PS5 that if anything happened I can only exchange for pre-owned or refurbished. I did not get warranties to get a previously broken then fixed or used item. The Polaris location clerk was of no help and neither was corporate. Their warranties are a joke anymore and will not be purchasing from them again. Will also let me friends and family know not to shop there too!!!

Experiencia negativa: Purchased a Meta Headset online for pickup from this store. When I picked up the headset the manager was insistent that she wrap it up in multiple bags so it “wouldn’t get damaged as I carried it in the mall”. Didn’t find out until I got home that she gave me an opened and used headset. I tried to exchange it the next day, however, the manager stated that she wouldn’t exchange the product because it had been opened—by her! When I called the customer service number, twice, to see what could be done they hung up on me both times. Pretty obvious now why GameStop is a garbage company that is on its last leg. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere.

They were compassionate, educated, caring and took care of everything for me. I’ve never had such an incredible experience. Will definitely be back! GameStop! They deserve a raise!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I love this goofy place. I almost never buy anything from here but it’s basically become a ritual to come here every time I go to the Polaris mall. Games are regularly price (as expected) and there’s nothing super special about GameStop except for the fact that there’s a lot of games. I do remember as a kid when there used to be displays like Wiis and Wii Us you could play on, but, I don’t think those will happen again and I’m surprised this hasn’t gone out of business. Still love it though.

Experiencia fantástica: The person who helped me was amazing! I was in asking about PS5 and she gave me the heads up that they were having an event later that week. She was very informative on all of my inquiries and also gave me guidance on when I should come in. That weekend I went back and arrived about an hour early. What she had told me was not a lie! And now thanks to her, I have my very own Playstation 5!!!!!!!!! Please excuse the baby toy in the foreground... they are everywhere these days lol.

Experiencia negativa: I arrived at this location and stood in line today to purchase my 12 year old son's Christmas gift the PS 5 Disc version. When we arrived, we were told by the sales associate at the door that if we were there for the PS 5 or Xbox X we would have to stand in a line outside of the store until 4pm. We waited in line and when it was our turn to obtain a ticket to be guaranteed to order our PS 5, the store manager told another guest that was inside of the store while everyone waited in line that he could go to the sales associate at the door to obtain a ticket to get the PS 5 instead of going in the back of the line. At that point that customer was provided a ticket literally in front of me and then when it was my turn, I was told the customer they let cut the line took the last PS 5 disc. I asked the associate to please get the manager at which the manager came out and argued with me about how they customer was already in the store and he told the customer he could cut the line. Now all they had was the PS 5 Digital and I could purchase that. He kept trying to justify his decision to allow someone to cut me by saying they just got the information 30 minutes before 4pm. I called corporate office and was told all they were going to do was file the complaint and send it to the store for the manager to review, but they cant guarantee anyone would contact me back or compensate anything. I explained the store manager was who I spoke too and he was the one who allowed someone to cut me in the line. I will not ever shop at Gamestop again as they do not value their customers at this location specific to the managers behavior and disrespect. All of my diligence of trying to make my sons Christmas special was for nothing thanks to the store manager. I feel I was discriminated against based on my race and gender. They have lost my business.

Experiencia fantástica: Had a fantastic experience here. Went into the store hoping to buy a pre-owned Switch and was not disappointed. Jackson had his hands full when I arrived, but he was courteous and friendly the entire time. Helped walk me through the only pre-owned unit (which had a unique controller setup). I left with exactly what I wanted in a reasonable time. Everything recommended was what I wanted without realizing it (including screen protector, which I hadn't even considered). I frequently shop here for games and would highly recommend it for systems now too.

Experiencia negativa: My son and I was visiting from NC. We went to Polaris because everyone said that’s the best mall in Columbus. My son bought a NBA 2k19 from GameStop. We came home entered the code three times and it didn’t work. I called the store and the associate Ben said we may have to call Microsoft... Which would of been unfair because we purchased the code from them and that’s a lot of hassle to go through. So I asked to speak with the manager. The manager was pleasant and said typical we would have to call Microsoft but she can trade it out this one time...But if it was to happen again for any reason she wouldn’t be able to do anything. 1st of all this has never happened to us. My son purchased the card from them... The way she spoke to me in the end was as if he stole the code although we have a receipt.

The assistant store leader/manager Will is a god-tier employee and he definitely didn't tell me to say that. Rumor has it this is Commander Sheppard's favorite store in the Citadel, which is another huge perk too.

Experiencia negativa: If you want something specific don't waste your time going to the store. Reserve it at 12am on their website as even though you are first in the store someone else most likely put a hold on it. Practices like this will soon put all retail storefronts out of business. The more that I think about it most likely employees of the stores put items on hold for their friends and they blame it on the website. Better off to order from Amazon.
