Experiencia negativa: Pretty bad experience at this location a few months ago. A Hispanic women with tattoos and black drawn on eyebrows was beyond rude and disrespectful. I happened to be in the shopping center yesterday and noticed the closing signs. They are closing this location down so I figured I'd stop by and see what sales they had. Well sure enough the same women was there. Same disrespectful attitude, while we were browsing the store you could hear her slamming every game case on the counter one by one. At one point we asked her a question in regards to some merch, only to be met with a rude condescending response. I will never understand how they could possibly want an employee with such attitude work for them.

Experiencia negativa: It's literally impossible to come in here without being insulted by the staff that works here. I come here for a gift card for my family and get blitzed by passive aggressiveness and condescending behavior for no reason. I only wanted to leave with a gift card and without being put in a bad mood just this one time by the staff. They go out of their way to be rude and nasty so get ready.

Experiencia fantástica: 12/17/24. Manager please read! I spoke with Alora on the phone and she was very helpful with all my questions! When I came in she was kind, patient, and really helpful. Before coming into this location I went to the Vista location and the guy there was very rude and had terrible customer service. Alora is a great employee and she needs a promotion and recognition at the least for how she conducts herself and how she helps customers! Thanks Alora!

Experiencia negativa: Dec 10, 2024 i walked in to the store and was going to order a new game but lady convense me that i would save 5 + dollar if i got it used and would be shipped to the store so i said ok. they got the game made a hassle to give it to me because manager was not around and would be back intell monday and it came in a old beat up black cartridge which at the end when i checked the printed sheet they had charged me 3.99 warranty witch she didnt ask me if i wanted it and whats the point of saving 5 dollars if your gona charge me 3.99 extra. so i didnt like the condition of the game so i just asked for a refund manager was rud and a attitud and didnt want to give me my money back insted she was giving me store credit when i had made the purchase in cash and because her employee wrote down on the receipe Gift card witch was complete Bs So at the end i was obligated to purchase something because they would not refund me and insted give me store credit. oh and this happen on gamestop located at 467 college Blvd ste 7 Oceanside CA 92057 i been to other game stops but i dont recomend this one bad customer service.

Drove 20 minutes only to find out they had none. Needs to update their website a little more accurately and more often to let the customers know, at least.

Experiencia negativa: Poor service and they think me having a backpack and me being a black man I'm in there to steal something i won't be going in there again. Yet I've been going in this location since it opened and it's only the white people who have issues with my backpack. When I visited the store today two other white customers were walking around inside with backpacks. But oh well it just shows gamestop is a dead company nobody buys games there anymore.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been coming to this GameStop for maybe five years or so and maybe the first couple years were great. Believe me the service has gotten terrible. I feel like the employees don’t know the return policy with insurance. I have to keep reminding them. I don’t need my receipt. You just see the sticker and they just make it into a bigger deal. This is happened to me multiple times I’d rather drive farther then go to this location because of the lack of knowledge and I recently went there two days ago, the man working told my boyfriend that he couldn’t return his headphones even if he had his receipt and besides that he has such a sassy attitude, and just seems so miserable being there and I went to target and they said that we could do that so maybe retrain some of your employees on the return policies because this seems to be the only location that struggles with that because other game stops can do it perfectly fine

Experiencia positiva: Very nice experience, checking out is a long process, understaffed. Their sell/buyback policy is ridiculously, the lady i front of me was asked for proof of identity, bill proof, and all sorts of information to sell their video games back to Game Stop. This should not be the case and their business practices should change and imo improve else risk failing at customer satisfaction and business model as a whole.

Experiencia fantástica: I had not stepped foot into a GameStop since they closed down my Del Mar branch. A long time! I went there to find some Switch games, and needed some pointers, and was so glad to meet Holly, who spent time helping me, and recommending games, both for me, and for my niece. She was thoughtful in this, and I was very impressed by her level of customer service. She signed me up for the Power Up Reward service, which legit saved me 25 bucks on my games I bought, as well as got me a free GameStop shirt! Holly was very knowledgeable, and showed no judgement towards my lack of current games, and even found some old classics from my day for me! She laughed at my dumb dad jokes and made me feel welcome. She is a tremendous asset to your team, and I will be back soon for more games! Thanks much!

Experiencia fantástica: Update: 11/25/21 This is now our permanent home Gamestop location. Today being Thanksgiving. The crew is working hard and being super professional during this Holiday. This store should be the prime example for all other stores. The reason is how knowledgeable every employee is. You know on Thanksgiving it can be a little hectic. This location had a system that works. Organized line. From the point where we waited to the check out experience. As we waited inline. You can hear the cashiers be informative at checkout. Explaining warranties, additional accessories and other suggestions. With absolutely no pressure. Other Gamestop in South County. Will push and push. Not this location. On the contrary they explain everything thoroughly. Today's experience was so amazing. I got everyone's name. From Angie, Mckayla, Zaid, Benjamin and J. They all helped each other if something came up. I love giving credit to teams that deserve it. Yesterday I got my Switch and today I got my Oculus quest 2. I don't mind spending the extra money. When you get the service like this Gamestop delivers. Bestbuy who!? Remember those times you went to a Blockbuster. The clerk would give you suggestions. They knew you by name like the show "Cheers". That's how I felt these passed two days. Thanks Oceanside Gamestop team! And to Angie. Give it the beans!!! continue delivering excellence! I can't tell you. This Game stop went above and beyond the call of duty. They called another store to help me locate something I've been looking for. Just going the little extra for me. It meant so much to me. I worked in retail. I know when I did that for my customers. They appreciated it. Well it comes around. They did it for me. Please who ever is the District leader or Manager to this region. Experiencia negativa: I was on the list of being notified as soon as the ps5 was available for preorder. I saw my name on the list and i was 5th to be notified(the clerk showed me). The ps5 was available to preorder today. Didnt recieve a call. I go and drive in to the store and ask if i can preorder the ps5 and they tell me its soldout. I tell them i was on the call list and they said they had to call people ahead of me on the list... Nothing. Not a word. Didnt even call me to tell me it was even sold out already. I will never spend another dime at any gamestop again.

Experiencia negativa: I went to this Gamestop to trade in my Xbox one and upgrade to a Xbox one X. First I would like to say the staff was very helpful and nice. No problems with staff. When it came down to it, I decided to get a used Xbox one X, save $170 dollars. A mistake on my end. I got home and hooked it up. Everything was good for the first 24 hours. After that, I kept getting error, after error, after error. I called Microsoft help, they told me the errors are NOT fixable and the console needs to be sent in for repair. Today I found out, that Gamestop sells both Preowned Certified and Refurbished certified. I did not know at the time there was a difference. I ended up going to another GameStop. The one I normally would go too. They switched it out no problems with a Preowned. The guy working said, "I Always get the Preowned, not refurbished, you never know what problems it had and if they really fixed the issue". In conclusion they sold me a broken Xbox one X. Probably not their faults, but they should really check their products more closely.

Great selection and awesome collectibles. My favourite GameStop by far! About the same size as the others I've been to but prefer this location for the selection.

Experiencia negativa: If your a gamer you know GameStop is the worst place. They sell over priced. Controllers cost $50-$70 at GameStop but in Best Buy they cost $40-$60 average. Also they sell the ps4 pro $100+ more than what Best Buy sells it for. Games are also overpriced. This whole place is a scam of overprice dont come here make it go broke until they actually make it cheaper.

Experiencia fantástica: Head to the bottom if you want a summation. This store’s shift lead or assistant manager (young girl), was super informative with Gamestop’s policy on getting collector edition items. I reserved the MK 11 collectors edition but a week before RE2 I had caught the existence of a collector’s edition which I had to nab. Sadly I was too late but the female employee had informed me what I should do in case someone does not pick up or if they cancel. She walked me through step by step and I was very happy with the service and her accommodation. Summation: This store has honest employees that are eager to help which does not go unnoticed. Great customer service!

Experiencia negativa: I usually go to this Gamestop when purchasing video games or accessories and always had a great experience but about 3 weeks ago it wasn’t the experience i usually get. I went to trade in my base Ps4 to get a Pro and was instantly asked if i wanted a subscription i respectfully said no and at the checkout was explained the benefits of the subscription and was also asked if i wanted a warranty i declined both offers respectfully i felt pressured to get it but still said no and one of the cashiers looked at me and said “you don’t want a warranty on the pro” but in a way where he’s like mocking me or i’m dumb i gotta say really unprofessional.

Experiencia fantástica: Alexis was the assistant manager and was more than willing to help exchange a defective item perchused previously through the store with no extra charge, I was expecting an additional charge due to previous stores experience and already willing to just go buy a new one inplace of pre-owned to save the hassle but that was not the case at all.
