As soon as we enter the store she starts talking about the deals and we were fine with it saying “oh thank you” until she got irritated and said “stop interrupting me, im doing my job, if you don’t like that, then get out” so we both looked shocked and said “this is the most disrespectful customer service i’ve ever had” and Ive worked in retail before and this is unacceptable and embarrassing. me and my girlfriend are never coming back. If i could 0 stars.
Experiencia negativa: I am familiar with this "Vanessa" person mentioned several times below. I have had similar, horrible experiences with her. She has cozied up enough to reveal to me that the only thing she is interested in is the revenue of the store, and "trying to save it." They unfortunately have very few forms of revenue left. Gamestop obviously was recently in the news for being on r/Wallstreetbets, and essentially getting bailed out, as a meme. Well, here we are, close to 2026, and they're still around. Concerning Pokemon cards, I cant say for sure this Gamestop sells them above MSRP, but the one in MOA does, but not by alot (7.something for non members, down to 6.80ish for members), and they at least had them... whatever, null point here, can never find them here, and the employees are transparent enough to tell you all the details - exactly how much they get, what the lines are like, yeah - no chance for any average consumer to obtain these, at least at this location. Back to Vanessa, she doesn't really claim to know "Pokémon," so wont converse much with you there, but will instead ask if you'd like to pre order new video games (even if you didn't mention anything about any video games, and are here purely for physical merchandise), MTG TCG sets that are coming out (and I was actually once given the wrong name and release date of a set from her once, nbd lol just found if funny how unprofessional she is, anything to try for a sale, right?). Basically, she doesn't listen to you, doesn't care about what you need or want, just wants to try and get you to "pre-order" and hit her metrics for the store. Is a generally very unpleasant person imho, and someone I would not like to have a coffee and exchange pleasantries with. There are several other employees here that are all awesome once you figure out what they're into. I don't remember any by name, except Ben, he was great... I'll give this an extra star, just for all the nice talks about Pokémon I had with Ben, and what a nice pleasant individual they were. The store also has had the same physical merchandise on the shelves for what feels likes years. Anything useful or fun is marked at MSRP, and clearance stuff sits there because it's not relevant in pop culture any more. Good place for some cheap, t-shirts to do yard work in. Check the clearance rack. Sorry Vanessa, after reading about these claims below, they totally sound like things you'd do... pushy about selling warranties on cd's in 2025... being rude to people if they decline said extended warranty's, generally being sneaky, untrue, and un-transparent to your patrons, also just plain rude. Golden rule. Shame on you.
Experiencia negativa: My brother and I decided to go to Gamestop together for black friday since they have the buy 2 get 1 free deal on pre owned games. When we got to the counter the cashier kept trying to sign me up for the 2 year protection plan, I said no and declined several times before she just tried to sign me up for the 1 year plan. I eventually had to turn to my brother and ask him if he wanted one and he said no, the games aren't even for him. After my brother declined she was completely silent to us for the rest of the purchase, even ignoring my brother when he said have a good day. Once we drove away I opened a copy of cyberpunk 2077 to realize she didn't give me the download disc, only the play disc, I decided to come back with my brother. When we arrived she was helping a few teenagers so I waited at the counter quietly, when they moved to the counter I said "I only got the play disc, no download disc" she then waved me away and said "Let me help them first" I said okay and stepped back. After a while of waiting she looked at me and said "When I opened the yellow sleeve there was only 1 disc so I can't help you" I said "Okay can I atleast return it?" She then in response says "No you didn't buy the protection plan so I can't return it" This pissed my brother off because she gave us a dummy case that very obviously says (2 discs) on it. So then my brother started yelling at her for how rude she was being and not returning it. Because from are perspective it looks like she's stealing from me to pressure me into spending more money on a protection plan we don't want. She then told my brother to leave and he refused, so she threatened to call the cops, my brother then threatened to call the cops too. Once my brother threatened to call the cops on her. She focused on me and said "I can help you but not with your brother causing a scene". Oh so you can return it?We SHOULD NOT have had to threaten to call the cops to get my money back. Once we left the store I went back in and finally got my return, but not without her making comments about my brother the whole time, saying the whole thing is his fault. She then proceeded to call the cops IN FRONT of me and told them that she never refused my return, but yes she did. By the end of all of this she got my brother tresspassed for 1 year. The cashier looked to be a woman in her 40s or 50s, long grey hair and round glasses, the receipt said her name is Vanessa

Experiencia negativa: Sells warranty without explaining the details. Also doesnt ask if you want a 1 or 2 yr warranty. Overbearing customer service trying to push their pre-owned or refurbished products. Not friendly or personable. Do not recommend gamestop in general at thia point

Experiencia negativa: I stopped into this GameStop this morning (9/12/2025 @ approximately 10:50am) to buy some single Magic cards after finding out a month ago that GameStop now sells singles and bought some from this same location on that same visit. I walked in and was told by the employee (blonde middle aged lady) that I had to be a ProMember to buy Magic cards. I proceeded to point at the singles and asked obviously irritated “you mean I have to have a membership to buy that $2 piece of cardboard?!?” She said yes we are trying to dissuade scalpers. ♂️ I swear GameStop hires the dumbest people I will never shop at this location again because of the sheer ignorance of their incompetent staff.
Experiencia negativa: From the moment I walked into the store I knew something was up.. the person immediately said to me oh do you have an HDMI cord so we can make sure that the PlayStation works I said an HDMI cord I would assume you guys had one to test the products he goes yeah I guess I could go check and then checks for 1.5 seconds and finds one surprise Ivan said to the gentlemen don't worry about the controller it's broken however the PlayStation is in great condition he then told me that he wasn't able to test the PlayStation because of the controller being broken I said why not he said because it's not broke because he doesn't have a one that's programmed I said it is programmed it's just faulty he said that it wasn't connected to the internet unplugged it and handed it back to me I went back out to the car but I was pretty upset I didn't gather myself and went back into the store and explain to the gentleman that it does connect to the Wi-Fi please hook it back up and I'll show you how to get there so after I hooked it up to the Wi-Fi the gentleman then said well since you don't have the work of controller I'll give you $12 for your PlayStation. After that I was really upset I just grabbed my PlayStation and left you took it to the next store where they didn't even check for the controller because I didn't bring it in because it was broken and I didn't want to deal with the hassle they gave me $40 for my PlayStation pretty impressed and happy. I won't be going back to that gamestop. The service there was horrible. And I do feel like there was a reason why and underlining that reason why I might not have the complexion for the connection there if you know what I'm saying

Can't even be open during posted hours Edit: Twice recently we have visited this location in hopes to find some older generation games or discounted pre-owned games and accessories. The workers now aggressively try to sell you collectables, shirts, and their pro membership and seem very disinterested in helping you find what you're actually looking for. Don't bother with this gamestop anymore! Hidden Gem is a much better place to find your not-current gen games and accessories.
Experiencia fantástica: We went to this location after a poor experience at the other GameStop in Rochester. Haley was awesome and very professional. She assisted us with getting a promotion that was posted by GameStop’s Facebook page. There was another gentleman assisting us with our trade-in (he said he normally works the night shift) and we talked about how we were enjoying the new Switch 2. They both went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and get the best deal possible. We will be shopping at this store going forward. The store was clean, well lit and laid out. Thank you Haley and the gentleman whose name I forgot (he did tell me, I’m sorry).
Experiencia negativa: Despite signage, you can't actually send in your cards to get PSA graded here. Apparently they're not allowed to remove the sign since corporate said it's required, but they also just don't offer it for some reason.

Bought a hard drive last night and asked the employee if the hard drive would run next gen games he says yes ! , I go home the hard drive does not work. I try to return it and the lady tells me I can’t return it and I should sell it online … do not shop at this store.
Experiencia negativa: Disappointed by the lack of games. Less than 400 games combined for all systems. This is a so called game shop that sells more pop culture stuff than Videogames. This helps explain why they are going out of business, they need to relearn what the customer wants. Also watch you receipts, the company has been adding insurance to items even when you tell them no. I have also witnessed ppl being charged for Pro accounts with out being told it is added to their purchase. These both are theft by a corporate company.
Experiencia positiva: Unfortunately, this location is understaffed, and management is clueless as far as what gamers really want. They might know how to run a store, but gamers they are not. It's not a very popular location, so very little interest in new releases. I was told they focus on Switch gaming platform and not really Xbox... And since there have been staffing issues used titles have been priced higher than other locations... I love Gamestop. However, this location is not so much.

There was employees inside and when we tried opening the door they ignored us and shut the lights off. Would recommend this location.

I bought NBA 2k19 legend edition yet they gave it to me open and refused to return it so I traded it for 11 dollars. I traded an xbox one X and 3 games and a controller for a whopping 280 dollars. Very criminal for people who need the cash and they prey on that to make money. Horrible company
