Experiencia negativa: I will never buy or trade anything with GameStop again. We have gotten the run around from the store and corporate for a $25 Xbox card that was purchased and is invalid. We have gotten nowhere with the store, their corporate office and Xbox. $25 isn't much but it's the principle that you sold us a invalid card so basically you stole $25 from us! I hope GameStop continues to go bankrupt. It's very obvious they have money issues since they refuse to make a $25 card right. I would dispute it if I had purchased it with my credit card but sadly it was purchased with a GameStop card. If I ever have time I'll be sure and protest at your store on a Saturday! Your employees store and corporate level all need better training.
Experiencia negativa: Went here to trade in a switch and some Xbox controllers for my son. The trade in value was very reasonable. He used the credit for a new headset and a $25 Xbox gift card. The cashier highlighted the code which we only learned later had rendered the code illegible. So, we had to return to the store and, after speaking 40 more minutes, they issued us a $25 physical card. Once we got home, we found out the code was invalid. I was told by the store to contact Xbox support who on turn told me that it was on the store. I contacted the store again and was told that the district manager would contact me. They didn't. I called the store today only to be told again that it was up to Xbox. Pitiful customer service. It was their fault that I'm in this position in the first place.

Deanna was an absolute rockstar on what is probably one of the most busiest days of the year, Trade Anything Day. She handled the line (which was to the door) with professionalism and kindness. Despite having 8 people behind us, she took the time to make conversation with my young children and was so thorough in checking us out! Because of her, we will always make the trip to West Ashley to shop!

I never expected to get the call, but I appreciated the time and effort they put into addressing concerns before they came up. Employees have been incredibly welcoming and friendly each time I go in.

Experiencia positiva: I stopped by this game stop to look for wii accessories. I wasn't greeted upon entering the store. The attendant didn't ask me if I needed help. I had to go stand in front of the counter and ask if I could ask question before they acknowledged me. When I found the Wii accessories and started looking through them I was disgusted. The were used, but not referbished. They were dirty, some had hair on them. By dirty I mean dark brown earwax clumped dirt consistency. I told the attendance and she was like "oh that's gross. I guess we need to clean them". So apparently they don't clean them when someone returns them. Just tossed them in a bag and onto the shelf. I would recommend order refurbished online or walmart. I was grossed out by going into the store.

Still the best GameStop location in CHS. They have a speculative Madden cover with Taylor Swift on it. Enough said. This place is amazing.

Experiencia negativa: Stay away! I went to the GS website to buy a game. Paid for it, received email confirmation that it was ready pick up. Drove nearly an hour, sitting in traffic, to pick it up. Entered the store, there were three customers browsing. I walked toward the register and watched as the associate, “Micah,” wrapped cards in rubber bands while completely ignoring me. After an awkward moment, “Micah” asked what I needed. I told him that I was here to pick up the game which I had ordered/paid for online about an hour prior. He asked, “Armored Core?” I acknowledged. He said he had to CANCEL the order! When asked why, he said that they only had preordered copies in the store and he couldn’t release those! I slowly, steadily and patiently advised that I had just paid for, and received confirmation that the item was ready for pick up!!! Not to mention the drive to and now back! I pleaded for him to release the copy of which I had already paid. When he said he couldn’t do that, I asked to speak to a manager. He laughed and said we don’t have a manager here, “there’s probably one in Mt. Pleasant.” WHAT??? So infuriated I called GS corporate to report the incident and the demeanor/actions of “Micah.” This associate was receptive and empathetic. After recording my information/details he admitted that, that should have never happened. After providing the transaction #, the associate could see that the order had been cancelled- without notes indicating the reason. I was assured that I would receive a call within 72 hours from the District Manager to discuss further. *UPDATE* I never received the call from the District Manager as promised. I will no longer do business with Gamestop in any way.

The staff was no help and refused to answer my phone calls. I came today to pick my order up and the store is closed! It's 3:20 in the afternoon and the website says they are open until 7pm.

Experiencia negativa: Quite literally the worst gamestop east of the Mississippi River. While some of the employees are pleasant and try to be helpful others are rude and down right arrogant in the worst imaginable way. Good luck calling this store for information, they probably won't answer. I can recall a time when I tried and tried to get someone to answer my phone call to no avail. I decided to just go to the store and when I arrived there wasn't anyone in there besides the employee. I immediately walked out of the store and decided to conduct an experiment. I called the number again while looking into the store and to my surprise the employee behind the counter watched the phone ring and chose not to answer. There were no customers in the store. Looking for the newest, hottest titles? Look elsewhere, they may or may not have what you're looking for. Best Buy across the street or Target in Citadel mall probably has what gamestop doesn't. The store hours posted online are not congruent with what time they actually open or close. It's highly inconvenient to show up only for them to not open for another hour upon your arrival. Their website will lead you to believe that they have certain items in store, ready to be picked up. This is false. You cannot trust what it says online. This isn't the case of some isolated incident, this has been the standard for years. I have never written one of these reviews and might never write another one. But the people need to know, this store is one of the worst businesses in town.

She told me to come back on the 24th before noon and she would have one for me. Truth be told, I didn't believe here. Dakota and Allie were in the store today and, as promised, my Playstation 5 Bundle was there. I had a bad experience with this location several years ago. Allie is definitely the right person for this location. I've been a Best Buy customer for years. I will be buying all my video games from this location in the future. Another shout-out to Dakota. His professionalism and salesmanship is the reason I bought a headset. Great recommendations. Hats off to this dynamic duo.

Clerk told me “you know the policy, we don’t buy unopened games” in a condescending tone. No I wouldn’t know the policy, cause it was my second time in a store and first time ever trying to sell or trade a game with GameStop. Have no problem with the policy, just the rude clerk who needs to treat patrons with respect.
