Bad attitudes in this store. Don't spend money here. Find another gamestop. The one on Wilkinson has way better service. I just walked out.

Experiencia negativa: So I went to this GameStop location to reserved a game and this was my first time visiting this location. During my first visit I reserved two games for my PS5 after being informed about one of them that sparked my interest by the heavy set female employee who I was impressed with for the knowledge that she had for the games I had interest in. The two games that I reserved for my PS5 were scheduled to come out on two separate days and after making the reservation, I was so pleased with the service that I said to myself that I was going to make this location my GameStop home because all GameStop locations aren't the same and the service that I received on this day was great. It was during my second visit when it was time to pick up one of my reserved copies was when my view of what I thought was a great store started to change. I became extremely frustrated after asking one of the 3 employees if an exception could be made for me to skip the line that was wrapped around the building with people in line waiting to purchase Pokémon cards for all I wanted to do was pick up my reserved game. I was told, "No", and had to wait in line for an hour just to pick up one thing. It didn't make sense to me of why two separate lines couldn't have been made to accommodate those that were there for things other than for Pokemon cards. Once inside of the store two out of the three employees were standing around talking doing absolutely nothing which inflamed me even more. When I had asked the question to skip the line at the time, one employee was standing by the door, the other walking back and forth to the back, and the last one behind the register. I pick up my reserved copy and then finally left. Prior to me returning to this location for my third visit to pick up my final reserved copy, I received a call from the store the day prior informing me that my copy was in and that I had 48 hours to pick it up. I expressed my frustration with the person over the phone about waiting in line to pick my one item and inquired about how to avoid running into the same problem. He in turn of course instructed me to come later in the day to have a better outcome. Following his instructions, I returned to the store for my third time and I was so thrilled that there wasn't a line causing me to breathe a sigh of relief and I was excited about picking my game. When I walked in, my bubble was busted when I was greeted by the grinch that stole Christmas who greeted me with a, "Can I help you", but in a tone as if I was bothering her. This was a female that I haven't ever seen before in the store standing about 5'9, dark skinned with shoulder length dreads, medium build, with no name tag, and dressed in all black. I wanted to ask if she was having a bad day, but her energy was so unwelcoming I didn't have the energy of wanting to go back and forth. She wasn't rude but wasn't providing the best customer service experience either, so I continued with my purchase and left feeling like a kid who just asked his mother to go to McDonald's after seeing the Golden Arches and was told "No", because we have food at home. Although I was happy to get what I came for, I left the store feeling some type of way. With that said, I guess all GameStops are the same because I've yet found one to show consistently with valuing their customers.

Experiencia fantástica: Very nice staff. Considerate and helpful without being overly salesy, exactly what you want from a store like this. They also have a great selection of gaming inspired clothes and merchandise. Seems like the mamager here has a lot of freedom to select inventory because there are items here ive never seen in a GS before. Huge plus for the variety!

Experiencia negativa: Black lady with half shaved head was extremely rude and condescending. Also her haircut was horrendous. Maybe that’s why she was so awful. Went in to trade in an Xbox One console and she could have helped me but she wouldn’t. From the moment I walked in it was only hostility from her.

Experiencia negativa: Today my family and I went into this location and the customer service was horrible. The sales associate didn't greet us. My husband and son waited at the counter for 10 mins without being acknowledged as she continued to have in depth conversation with what appeared to someone she knew or regular customer. Even when my family asked her a question she just brushed them off and pointed them in the direction. We decided to leave and we will not return to this location again. This is the reason we stop coming before due to their lack there of customer service.

Experiencia negativa: I would of have them 5 stars but I couldn’t lie like that I always go to this shop because it’s closer to home and I always pre-order my games using my friend’s membership account but February 29 2024 I came in to get my FF7 rebirth and the sale guy told me I needed ID to get my game that never happen before so he racial profiling me and tho I was stealing her game(that I paid for) lucky the store manager was there she cool sometimes and she gave me my game so she cool I like her but I wasn’t bout to let a guy with colorful finger nail polish tell me I can’t get my game I stayed in that store till I got my game or he would of been on the floor with a cookie on his eye

Experiencia negativa: Horrible phone customer service. Asked if a game was in stock and if several copies are available. I wanted to know as I was driving across town since another GameStop did not have the game. The lady (Lea) declined to say if it was more than 1 to ensure it was not a wasted trip. The games are ima drawer literally behind the register just takes one second to confirm, but she declined.

Experiencia negativa: Ordered a pick up for my son for Christmas on the website, moved in July autofilled to a store in Charlotte where I moved from. When I first got in touch with customer service, it sounded like she was trying to speak pretend English, hoping I would assume I couldn’t understand her accent. Then I went into a local store they said there was nothing they could do, so I tried to call the store in Charlotte and no one answered I called 4 times, then I tried to cancel the order and the link was broken I got an error message every time I tried, then I wrote an email and finally I got a response saying the best option was to wait seven days for the order to automatically cancel, so I re- ordered and got it shipped, and hopefully the original order get refunded or else I guess I’ll be disputing it with the bank. Incredibly disappointing experience over all absolute 0/10

Experiencia negativa: 4 workers and only one register open. It was really poor service. i waited 10 minutes while the employee was trying to upsell and just talk to the guy in front of me about their services. Meanwhile multiple employees were just stocking stuff, no one offered to check me out. Even if they only had one register open, the person at the register couldve taken the man aside and talked to him about what they offer and someone else could've let me pay for my stuff. Then what was worse, I had to leave to get back to work and set my item back on a shelf and left and one of the employees sarcastically yells "ok bye!" Really poor service for a company that prides themselves on it.

Experiencia negativa: This is my second time having a problem with one of the managers and how she talks to customers including myself her aggressive behavior and manner when speaking to customers and employees is awful. The first time it happened I completely ignored it and went about my business. this time coming into the store I was not allowing this manager to talk to me anyway she wants to. it is her job at all times to keep a composure and assist any customer no matter what the customer wants, with 100% customer service. I felt like her Choice of words and how she respond was out of line. I don't know the manager's name but I do know she's African American she has dreads on one side of her head.

The female store lead was rude and on the phone for most of the time we were in the store. Normally I would brush it off as everyone has bad days, but I see there are a couple of previous reviews with similar experiences.

Experiencia negativa: I went in to purchase an item for a Christmas gift for my son and was given the wrong item mistakenly. I was on my way home and received a call from my son (the recipient) that the store called him and asked that I return due to the error. I returned to the store to correct the error, and was told they had come outside the store "...and you were gone..." as if to suggest I did something wrong. Not a thank you ma'am, we made an error. Nothing. I found out from my son that I paid for a lesser price gaming system, and they accidentally gave me the higher priced one. I had no problem correcting the wrong, but I believe a thank you was in order.

Experiencia negativa: I checked online for an xbox 360 controller. It said it was in store but when I got to the store it wasn't there(update the website). I know that it is old system, it did still have some games but overpriced. It does have a large selection of ps4 and xbox one games and accessories so that's a plus. But for any vintage gaming check else where.

Experiencia fantástica: I was contacted about my pre order and told that with trade ins toward the game I had pre ordered, that I would get an extra 40% on the trade in if I had an Elite membership. Well the person don't tell you on the phone that it is actually 20% of one amount and 20% of a different amount. The guy ringing me up even admitted that it confused him when he thought the same thing I did. The manager even commented that she had never been asked that before but she seen my point and the famous "Ill esculate this to corporate" came out....so how about letting the customer know that instead of 40% added to trade in, its 20% of this and 20% of that. Explain the disclaimer when trying to sell me on coming in over the phone. Update: the store manager reached out and made things good on my discrepency with my trade ins and went above and beyond...change to five stars I posted this review 2 years ago and in that time, I have used this store as my home store. Lea, the store manager, has been fantastic to me. I have recently moved and so this store will no longer be my home, but anyone near here, should visit, and especially due to her and how she conducts the store. She has went out of her way to make sure that all my discounts and trade in give me the maximum value...thanks Lea...

Experiencia negativa: worst gamestop in the area. Head to target that's nearby or if you really want a gamestop, head to northlake (best buy nearby as well) or concord mills locations. This gamestop has, by far, the SLOWEST service out of all gamestops i've ever been too. I would understand if there was simply one employee and a line out the door but even when there are 4+ employees working, they still have the slowest check out speed. I've walked out several time due to this. It shouldn't have to wait 30 MINs to buy a single item. you could literally walk into ANY other store (target, walmart, bestbuy) and be in and out in half that time. Gamestop is still running things as if this is the only store to buy video games or over priced accessories. I assure you it's not and their imminent bankruptcy proves that customers are also sick of this treatment. Good riddance. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION, AND GAMESTOP IN GENERAL.

Experiencia fantástica: Out of all the Game Stop stores out there this one is my boy's favorite. The employees apparently has great conversation, tips, and suggestions for games.

Experiencia negativa: high prices. saw a game that i had got at the pawn shop for $5 and here it was about $25 more. if you dont want to spend much, this isn’t the place to go. stick to pawn shops. very cheap.
