Then while working with me answered the phone and chit chatted more. Super unprofessional from start to finish

Experiencia negativa: This store is full of crap I went in to get a game my boyfriend and I could play together and once it came to paying I payed for it and last minute once I payed they told us it was digital so no copy of the game would come in it, we were still in store and told them I would like to return it because I could have easily bought the game on the Nintendo shop, once they tried to return it they said they couldn’t return the item and I informed Abel about his co worker Riley not informing us that the game was not a physical copy once able contacted a co worker or manager on the phone he said he was going to call us Monday so we let it be, I come back Monday and ask about the call or return Riley says “they won’t call you for the return due to Black Friday reasons” like if a call will take there time, still letting Riley know that he was the one who did not inform me about the game and made me pay. This store all they do take your money and expect their store numbers to go up and will not let you return anything, able was kind he y treated my boyfriend friend and I kindly and informed us of the issue because Riley was busy in his on little world not focusing on what he’s doing and not taking of the beep tags of the shirts we purchased and made me pay for a game that supposedly can’t be returned and on top of that disrespectful he has this attitudes towards customers and I honestly say that game stop should focus on who they hire because from the experience we had Saturday they don’t tell people theses things so you purchase the item and then tell you it’s non returnable as if the customer is at fault for his mistakes, and even when it happened to us the person in front of us wanted to return a game to and said the same thing. They keep making these excuses and mistakes

Experiencia negativa: Takes a lot for me to leave a review and it’s a shame because I’ve been in the location quite a bit but had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting the store manager today. After being told on the phone that exceptions have been made for returning tcg product (unopened of course) and within a 2 day span of purchasing, called right when I got home and realized I bought the wrong item. Went to bring it back and was met by someone who barely listened to what I had to say. Wish I could have worked with the district manager who the gentleman on the phone mentioned would be able to help me because this particular manager could really use some additional training on customer service….even if the end answer was still no, his attitude is what really drove me to write all this. Very disappointing….
Experiencia fantástica: I'm an amateur gamer. I can go toe to toe with younger generations. I love Playstation consoles and still have all of mine. I won't trade them in as just like cars, consoles depreciate in value. I have the patience to wait for them to become retro items as the right collector will pay more than game stores can offer. This is not a negative for GameStop, just personal preference and a fact. I appreciate employee honesty in telling me what places might offer more for old games and gear that I possess and I have a lot. That being said, I am rough on my headsets and needed to find a durable one. I clearly explained what I was looking for and my price range to a store representative. He explained the types and I chose a Playstation Pulse headset. It's wireless and I love it. I like Turtle Beach but it doesn't hold up well for me over time. If you nerd rage, you might need a different type of headset alltogether. What I like is that I had the choice to choose the brand I wanted. The representative was not pushy and gave me time to think aboout it. Now if you come in 15 minutes to close and have unreal expectations demanding cash for trade-ins, you will be disappointed and lack an understanding of the trade-in process. GameStop hasn't done cash trade-ins for years. I have no complaints about the trades I've made. Before brining anything in to trade, ask about the policies and what items are acceptable and what aren't. Ask what needs to be included. Please don't make my cousin's mistake and initialize or delete data from a system. People ask me why I get warranties on my games. I'm that person who can slip and fall and somehow crack a game. It has happened 3 times in the past. I bitterly regretted not having the warranties as replacing those 3 games cost me close to 200.00. The representatives have to ask but aren't pushy about it. I also like having a pro account that gives me additional benefits that have come in handy. What you decide will be up to you in the end as each person's circumstances are different. Never had a problem with the service. If you are bringing in a return or exchange, plan extra time as this process can get complicated but usually isn't. This store is exceptionally busy. If you are in a hurry, this may not be the location for you. Plan time when visiting this location or consider the location off 120th and Sheridan as it is not as busy.
Experiencia negativa: I went into the store to talk to someone about buying my Xbox 360 console, controllers,along with games. Super disappointed because instead of him wanting to see what I had, he gave me a million reasons not to....said I wouldn't get the money I was looking for, the length of time to check everything out, kept telling me to come on another day. I wasn't looking to make a ton of money but letting someone else have the chance to buy it since the newer versions are so expensive. Instead of acting like he wanted to help me, he gave me more reasons to go somewhere else. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service and how he very clearly did not want to bother with me.

Experiencia positiva: Title: Amazing Staff, but Inventory Management Needs Work The staff at this GameStop location is absolutely fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about gaming. They were eager to help, offered great recommendations, and made the experience enjoyable. It’s clear they care about their customers and genuinely love what they do. However, this location has a serious inventory management problem. There were boxes of merchandise everywhere, just sitting on the floor unopened. If the items aren’t on the shelves, they can’t be sold! It was frustrating to see stacks of products sitting in plain sight while the actual stock on display was limited. While the team did their best to assist, it’s clear they need a better system for getting inventory out of boxes and onto the shelves. Overall, the staff makes this store worth visiting, but management needs to address the clutter and make sure customers have access to all available products. With a little more organization, this GameStop could be a top-tier location.

Experiencia negativa: I just witnessed Jade help a customer with his pro account. Jade seem fed up with the situation and seemed like did not wanted to help the client. Is this how I expect to be treated when I have issues with my account? The client expressed his gratitude and thanked Jade at the end of the transaction. Jade did not respond and you could tell was annoyed.

Not that anyone at this location will care I suppose. Won’t be renewing my pro membership either.

Experiencia negativa: Went in to buy a switch, and a few games, and saw they had a promo for a free Nintendo brand switch case, so I hopped on it, was asked if I wanted warranty twice said no both times, very clearly total was 413 after a 5 dollars off, when we went to grab the case my girlfriend noticed the manager mess with the computer . When we came back the total was almost 500 . I asked what happened they said those aren't the free cases, even though that's what the sign said, so I said I want the free one , the total was still 465, I said how if it was just 413, then they said that no it was a mistake, and tried to lie they through the warranty in . So I said why is it say warranty 59 dollars I said twice no. Stuttering the employee finally admitted his manager tried sneaking it in, so I said I don't like or trust any of you, I told you no twice and you still tried to sneak it in . And as I walked out they were begging me to come back saying it's all rung up. So I went to target and actually got the Mario bundle I wanted that the gamestop manager said I wouldn't find anywhere besides gamestops website. So major L on the customer service.

Experiencia fantástica: The boss lady here knows her stuff, bravo to that alone. It's not often that you got a Gamestop employee firing off on all cylinders like that. Came in to add to my game collection, as one does when they got diamond hands, and looking for some oddball titles for the Nintendo Switch. The gal was on top of it, assisting with some suggestions and tried finding nearby stores immediately without question. No real luck with her help, but I did find a new 3D platformer to play in my quest. So bonus points to that.

Experiencia negativa: Took my basically new ps5 in to trade in they gave me $280 for in store but when I asked for cash it dropped $200 to only $80 cash and their reasoning was it had dust in some crevices that they'd have to "blow" out and marked it defective unless I wanted in store credit. $200 subtracted to blow some dust off? Such a joke, the company is just a scam

Experiencia negativa: Got to this location at 10:55. All online and the sign on the store say open at 11. Have been waiting outside in the sun for 15 minutes and all employees are a no call no show. Lights are off, no one inside, and when I called the other Thornton Colorado locatuon to inquire if this location was even open, I was fed that all locations (all. Really? All? Y'all have how many stores to be feeding that line to?) All locations were running behind due to "a management issue". Was then interrupted several times to be told it's a management issue and hat all GameStop's would open 30 minutes late, I just "really needed to be patient right now." Would be kinda cool if ya know you guys opened when you said you would. At this rate I would've sold games faster standing on 120th hawking them. Interesting business ethic to open when you feel like it and close when you feel like it. Love spending my time waiting for someone whose 30 minutes late. We call that getting fired in my line of work. Update: 11:25 and no employees, multiple customers have driven up, tried the door, then left.

I waiting in line for about 10 min, then waited again while she answered the phone and had a discussion with the person on the other line. I told her what I wanted and she stated she didn’t have them. I tried to show her it showed online they had them but she responded with “nope not me”.. I didn’t want to argue so I just asked if she thought maybe she would have them soon. She then responded in a snarky attitude “I don’t know, maybe I go through the 50 boxes I have” I just said ok and left. She was extremely condescending and left me with a ‘screw this place’ attitude. No wonder Game Stop is failing so hard.

Experiencia negativa: I have never been treated so poorly in a video game store. The guy behind the counter was rude to me from the 2nd I walked in. I was picking up an online order. He refused to even check if My order was there because I didn't have a second email sent to me saying it wss ready. I did not realize I needed a second email the store was completely empty so I asked if he could possibly help me out. He was very rude about it and said my only option would be to cancel my order and buy another controller in store. I'm a single mother and do not have the money for that. I did start to cry out of pure frastration. We had been in the store 30 minutes at this point. Eventually he decided to help me.....Turns out that my order was behind the desk the entire time . So he could have just looked for it instead of embarrassing me and being incredibly rude. I understand that working during the holiday season must be very frustrating but I was kind from the beginning and did not deserve to be treated like trash.

Immediately the man working the register gives me attitude and doesn't ask me about why I was dissatisfied with said item. He then proceeds to give me more attitude. Shipment for said item said I could return it. If that's policy fine but to be treated poorly is what set me off. If I can't even ask a question without you being irritated get out of retail.

Experiencia negativa: Wow. Customer service here is a joke. Placed an online order came to pick it up. They had no idea what I was even taking about. Then we continue to shop and instead of the employees asking if we needed anything or had any questions they were more busy talking about childhood experiences than worrying about a customer… bro I don’t care about you learned high speed maneuvers from your cop family when you were a teenager, I want to shop in the store, and get employee assistance. At one point one of them even complains that they have to be there until 3 o’clock. Finally we asked about an item he answers a questions points out another product, I say “whoa didn’t see that what is it…” and he proceeded to walk away. Super sad, if you don’t like your job get a new one.

Experiencia negativa: I went there to return a remote control because I realized it wasn’t wireless. I had bought it 3 days prior the guy accused me of not having the right receipt. I have not been to game stop in years so I didn’t understand how this could be the wrong receipt. It was a Mario remote and he said the receipt doesn’t say Mario anywhere. I pointed out at the end of the item it says Mari. It was a hassle to get a return on an item and being accused of trying to return the wrong product. Eventually he returned it. The only reason I gave it an extra star is because the lady who I bought it from a few days prior was really nice.

Good motives which I appreciate beyond all else, but bad for business. I usually have issues with preorders not being on time at this GameStop. Which I know is not their fault by any means what so ever, but worth mentioning.

Glad I just sold my last physical game item I own to them because this is a good time to say goodbye and go digital.

Experiencia negativa: I waited outside for the store to open to purchase an evolving skies pokemon etb and seen one through the window sitting on the counter while the employee was setting up.. when the door opened he said it was sold.. but I was the first person in line waiting for the door to open.. he explained that it was sold online so he put it under the counter. Totally reasonable just sucks for me. So, I figured I'd try my luck and go to another gamestop.. they also sold out..I explained what happened at the first location (120th)..the staff member at the 2nd location was super helpful and sent me to a store that had it in stock. He also mentioned that the 1st store (120th) showed one in stock ... "wait what?? I just came from there.. that employee said it was sold out"..i then realized that the employee at the 120th store was probably holding the product for his friend or himself and didnt want to sell it..thanks for wasting my time and gas driving around to three locations just to make a purchase.

Also before I had the Switch they never once got frustrated with me when I would call to see if they had any in stock, when there was the massive shortage. And I know I wasn't the only one calling about Switches. They probably got dozens a day. Nice folks over there who love video games like me!
Experiencia negativa: I came in the store with my daughter to ask about the PS5 . They were sold out ok that's fine. My daughter wanted a Naruto ball cap I paid cash . We were the only customers there . I wasn't given a receipt . My daughter noticed 2 shirts she wanted so I went to pay for shirts they accused me of not paying for the Naruto hat I said you literally just seen me pay for the hat . I got nothing but attitude. She found the receipt that was never given to me . So I went a head and paid for my daughter's shirts and left terrible experience.

Experiencia negativa: GameStop as a corporation has lost my business completely. From the way they treat their employees to the way their greed has impacted me as a gamer. I will always look for my games online instead of at a GameStop. If I trade in four games I should probably get a little more than $5.00 worth of value. Because you guys have shut down the way your trade in and used game system used to work I will never use you guys again. And because of that I will never buy consoles or accessories from you again either.

Prices are still ridiculous though, I genuinely have no idea what good gamestop is anymore unless you like to purchase full price games even though they are on sale on PS/XBOX stores on the console, used red box games, FB marketplace.
